Yelp
Mau is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to experience vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired flavors with a modern twist. The ambiance is chic yet inviting, with a stylish interior that feels perfect for both special occasions and casual nights out. The menu is filled with creative dishes that reflect the Mediterranean spirit, and every plate we tried was a delight. We started with the mezze platter, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The lamb chops were melt-in-your-mouth tender and seasoned to perfection, while the grilled octopus was perfectly charred and served with a deliciously tangy sauce. Service was impeccable--friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. Our server made thoughtful recommendations that made the meal even more enjoyable. We finished with the baklava, a delightful sweet treat to end a fantastic meal.

Yelp
This place is " very Miami " The ambiance is lively on the weekend and definitely a very Instagramable restaurant if you're from out of town. The service was fast, the food was good. There's hookah and good drinks. Overall a nice spot to visit if you're looking for a dining experience.

Yelp
I typically stop in Mau for cocktails and maybe a bar bite because I love the ambiance and staff here. I had to opportunity to have some of my girls who were in town to meet me here for dinner and we had a time and everyone enjoyed their food. The music by DJ Epps was a vibe. Lena checked in making sure that we were having a great time and everything was good. The hookah was nice and smooth. It was overall a good experience that my girls enjoyed.

Yelp
I was the first to arrive for a birthday dinner so I sat at the bar and ordered a drink. I can't remember the name but it was mezcal base so it wasn't my favorite because mezcal can be quite overpowering. The party finally arrived and we were seated. As beautiful as this restaurant is I was shocked at the poor quality of our seats. Like literally torn up and taped together. I'm guessing it's an Asian inspired restaurant. I ordered the crispy shrimp to start and it was ok. It lacked some flavor. I ordered another drink the k21 that was amazing!!!!! I decided to have the dragon roll as my entree and it was ok. Not the best sushi I've had but decent. There was entertainment in the evening and as it got later there was a DJ. Parking is the usual situation in Miami you hope you can find street parking or you can valet. Drinks were a 9/10 and the food 6/10.

Yelp
Service was immaculate. Decors were vibey but very dark. Light was provided at each table that look like a small dumbbell shape, tap to change brightness. $150 for hookah is crazy tho. It showed that on the menu. No thanks, but cool that it offers tho! The bathroom was nice and random with an alien statue LOL. The appetizer rock shrimp was tasty but salty. Sushi roll(dragon) was tasty, Caesar salad was great but also very salty. Chicken skewer was very tasty and tender! Lamb chop was a vibe and delicious. Lobster pasta was unfortunately a bad experience. It tasted bad and was sent back! Didn't want to experience another bad lobster meat so we rejected a replacement. It was taken off our bill. Later during the dinner the ambience and music became club-like, with disco string lights around the ceiling and bumpy

Yelp
We came for a birthday dinner and had a great time. The drinks were strong. The food came pretty fast. The calamari was not very season but the dragon roll and lobster pasta was very good. The music was great and there were many places to take pictures. They treated us very well and made the birthday girl feel very special. We all talked about how we will definitely return again.

Yelp
Such a stylish spot. Zena made sure our evening was perfect, and the artichokes are a must-try

Yelp
Best and most underrated happy hour in midtown. 2 for 1 drinks, great tapas and they have redesigned the interior and added a better outdoor seating area.

Yelp
The service was great coming in there was a mixed up with my reservation. But the MOD Lena was able to accommodate the mistake made on the reservation. The service was phenomenal the food was great. I had the lamb chops and my husband the mua something the biggest steak ever, that's all I'm going to say. We also had the fried rice fried Brussels sprouts. The ambiance was amazing, they had someone perform with swallowing fire flames and a live DJ. Evening was amazing the staff was also attentive our waiter was also amazing nice gentlemen.

Yelp
Garbage Restaurant, terrible food, very expensive and parking nightmare. This place is terrible.

Yelp
A group of us wanted to grab brunch & figured we'd give MAU a try in Midtown. It's Tulum vibe & music made for great ambience on the patio but indoors was equally as nice. The food was not only delicious but good portions too. We all shared some pitchers of Mojitos & enjoyed good company along with attentive service (which seems rare in Miami sometimes). In fact, the Manager made sure it was impossible for us to leave without having a good time. We'll definitely be coming back one evening too! .

Yelp
I loved the ambiance but the experience and food definitely needs an improvement. I love to see potential but when you're frequenting restaurants the tab adds up and it's sad when the food doesn't measure to the amount you're paying (especially when gratuity is added). My girls and I came for dinner and we ordered the rock shrimp appetizer which was over fried and oysters which my friend loved. For my meal, I ordered the salmon and it wasn't terrible but no flair. My friends ordered the pasta with seafood and needed to add salt and asked for garlic powder which is pretty telling and then ended up switching to the salmon as well. The drinks were decent and the music was good but the since this isn't a lounge I'm giving this two stars.

Yelp
The food was awful but the vibe in there is great. They should invest some money into the culinary aspect of this restaurant and it would be perfect. The staff is great even though you can barely hear anything over the music. The dj was great by the way as this seems to be a turn up spot. People were literally standing on the tables twerking to birthday songs. I was not impressed by the food at all and neither was my husband along with a few other people in our party. I got the lobster pasta and it was just tasteless and the lobster was rubbery. I can honestly say I could have made that better at home. Anytime I have to add salt and pepper to a meal, I automatically deduct stars especially when the main courses all start at $50. This place is super pricey, I guess you're paying for the aesthetics because it's definitely not the food. I was just disappointed and dissatisfied with the food and my husband wasn't happy with his steak either. I heard the chicken wings were good so perhaps I should have gotten a basic meal. The presentation of the food was beautiful just didn't live up to the taste. There is a really cool alien statue in the bathroom that you can take pictures with and the swings through out the restaurant are super cute for photos. The parking sucks but the restaurant is easy to find. Lastly, they have $150 hookah and in my opinion have lost their damn minds but Miami is the place to blow money so I guess that's for the fools that do that. Lol.

Yelp
Mau in Midtown Miami was. Wonderful dinning experience. We dinned with friends and shared lots of different dishes. Every plate was delicious. From the oysters and rock shrimp to the swordfish tacos and wagyu skewers and the whole, fresh branzino (which took us back to Mykonos with one bite). Ginger crème brûlée was unique and surprisingly delicious. The vibe and music are both great, we will def be returning. Also nice to note, they have valet parking right out front.

Yelp
I went for brunch and really enjoyed myself! The food was fantastic. I look forward to trying the dinner menu in the future. It looks really good! The brunch ambiance was such a vibe; good music and good drinks! The prices weren't terrible. The bottomless mimosas/bellinis were $35. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Loved! Perfect for date night, and we happened to come when they were having a special event so although we had to talk over the music, the vibes were eclectic. The food was great - grilled octopus to perfection, and we both had seabass (mine blackened, my date's grilled). I was really craving the snapper filet but they ran out so the seabass was a great alternative. The brussel sprouts were *chef's kiss* seriously and the asparagus was a nice and firm texture, perfectly seasoned. The drinks were pretty strong. Our server took great care of us, communicating every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Pretty decor but very dim lighting. The music is good but the employees energy could be better. The chicken skewers were my favorite of the night. They were cooked well and very flavorful. And there's a cool alien in the bathroom. Also, the sign that came out to our table looked like it was broken because of the poor lighting around the edges of the sign itself.

Yelp
We had a great time at Mau. The dining experience was excellent. Every single plate was exquisite. Starting from the oysters and rock shrimp to the swordfish tacos and wagyu skewers, and not forgetting the whole, fresh branzino (which instantly transported us to Mykonos with just one bite). The ginger crème brûlée was delightfully distinctive and surprisingly appetizing. The truffle pasta was incredible and the espresso martinis we had made it for a fun night! The atmosphere and the music at Mau are both fantastic, and we will definitely come back for more. Service staff was friendly and honestly the manager in charge made the whole experience very unique!

Yelp
Our group being one of the few groups that were there for their brunch. It took for the dj and an another employee, to find our server. Didn't really greet us; ask if we needed water or extra utensils, since the table was only set for 6 and we had an extra person with us; or greeted us with their name at least. Drinks arrived after 30 ish mins of everyone in the party arriving. For the bottomless package, I feel as if the server wasn't attentive as he should be to see if my party needed refills on the bottle. He even forgot a glass for one person in the table. The food for each person came at different times so it made it hard to enjoy the meal together. Food was great, I was surprised to see that the steak sandwich I had was made with a good amount of steak and cooked to the right temperature that I requested. Lastly, receiving the check, he was kind of lost in what each member was paying for. The vibe in the restaurant, for the lack of words, was very mid. The music wasn't fun; since the restaurant was not full I assume? Maybe we just came on an off day. But that was my overall experience.

Yelp
Dined In to MAU tonight for a friends birthday celebration. Party if 2, sat immediately and fantastic customer service! The server was friendly, attentive and overall outstanding! We shared the tuna tartare and oysters as an appetizer that were both fresh and delicious. For entrees we had the braised short ribs and lamb chops which were both tender, savory and unforgettable. The ambiance was fun and lively while the food and service were comparable to highly elevated dining. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This place was perfect for dinner, not too many options are available with a full kitchen open passed midnight and at Mau , drinks were great , the food was very good & Adrian did an excellent job . Friendly , great reccomendation . Dj set the ambience for sure with great music playing , all genres .

Yelp
Stopped in to see one of my favorite bartender, Jessica Cox, and had an appetizer and a drink. The service and the food were excellent

Yelp
I loved the coconut ceviche we ordered and would honestly go back just for that! I loved our experience and the vibes there and it has been consistent every time we have visited. Our food all tasted great and full of flavor. The service by the staff was excellent as well.

Yelp
Came for a promotional dinner on a Monday evening with a group of about 10 ladies. This place has been on my list for quite some time so I was excited to experience. The decor and vibe is absolutely gorgeous it's very tulum and tropical with a hint of glam. I also like the couch swings (I didn't have the core strength to support myself on it and also sit at a dinner table but it was cute nonetheless). We were served from the prefix menu which consisted of Cesar salad to start (honestly really good but it's pretty hard to mess up a Cesar salad) then our main was grilled chicken with a side of island rice. The chicken was super juicey and flavorful so no complaints. Finally the desert was served, I enjoyed the carrot cake. Overall, cool venue and the food was solid. Only complaint was the music was hot garbage (I don't like hip-hop this venue is better suited for tropical house)

Yelp
Loved the ambiance, the music, & our bartender Pat! We ordered the Santorini roll & the espresso martini, & both were delicious! Pat was very accommodating & kind. Would definitely return!

Yelp
Last night I went there for my birthday with my family. When I first walked in there were some issues with the logistics of the table and the tablecloth. The staff was extremely accommodating and changed the table cloth and fixed the wobbly table. Micheal, from Crete (in Greece) was our server and he was extremely polite, friendly and knowledgeable on the food items and specialties. There were 3 server assistants, the 3 of them monitoring the table's organization and cleanliness. We were even able to chat with a blonde Argentinian, who seemed to be very focused on any potential needs from guests, and anticipated all the future issues there could be (noticed the wobbly table and immediately took the initiative to fix). The food was good but the service really makes the experience superb! I'll definitely will be coming back soon!!!

Yelp
Went on a random Tuesday. It was pretty empty but service was fast! The decor gives Tulum vibes. Everything I had was freshly made. Would come back but only during the week! Prices were ok.

Yelp
Definitely stopped in to this new eatery. Loved the vibe upon entrance, there was an outside eating area, but we just stopped in for drinks at the bar. (It was early afternoon) My drink of choice was very good. Loved the interior decor, loved the swinging leather couches. The ambiance is definitely for a dressy, date night or more formal dining out. Outside dining is for more casual hang out. Will definitely be back for dinner.

Yelp
Exploring new restaurants in my area and came across this beautiful spot. We had SO MUCH good food. The drinks were also spectacular. Paola was our server and she rocked. Great recommendations. I also appreciated that the manager came around to check on us and make sure we had a great experience. It shows he cares. Love this place over all and we will most definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Niaz K.

Yelp
The second i walked in, I was shocked by how cute this restaurant/bar is! (Disclaimer: I did not eat here) I went for drinks and the bartenders were super attentive! There was a lot of bar area to sit or stand and enjoy some drinks. It's definitely a cute date night spot - lots of couples were enjoying dinner.

Yelp
Came here for brunch, and it was a whole experience! The bottomless mimosas were perfect. The waitresses were actually very helpful when I was trying to place my order. the place was packed, but everyone was having fun so it was the perfect brunch vibe.

Yelp
Horrible brunch experience today. Had to change reservation and had to call 3 times at 12pm to reach anyone Arrive on time for a 1pm reservation and no one but hostess and mgr outside a minute after we arrive Go inside, cool decor but ridiculously loud music to the point you can't talk or order anything without yelling 3 times A lot of pressure to order bottled water which is $8 ea so we resisted Highly promoted all u can eat brunch for $48 turned out to be eggs only Food was ok to poor. Medium steak was rare. Not a single condiment on the table. After being ignored by our server, we finally ask for and get the check via the waiter with a wireless card terminal. He shows us the total only and of course we trust it and are prompted to add a tip, which we add 18% not knowing a 21% service charge was added. This was not disclosed anywhere and was very much hidden from us by the waiter So then we go outside to the $7 valet and find out it's $20 without validation, which they do not provide (Sugarcane does). I feel violated!

Yelp
My cousin hosted his "Sack Sensei NFL Pass Rush Retreat Welcome Dinner" at Mau Miami. I've always seen this place when I go to Midtown, so I'm glad I had the opportunity to try them out. When we walked in, all of the staff from the hosts, waiters, and bartenders were very kind, accommodating, and fun. We had an entire side of the restaurant just for the event. The bartenders were extremely friendly, and made the best drinks I've ever had thus far. Especially the lychee Mojito, which was a perfect blend of sweetness and mint. The waiters were very accommodating and kept the food coming out nice and hot. I really loved the shrimp, tempura sushi, and fried rice that was served. The sushi was packed with shrimp, and the fried rice had a nice flavor and presentation to it. This restaurant is the perfect blend of a lounge and a restaurant so you get wonderful food plus a nice upbeat ambiance to have fun as well. I definitely would like to come back to Mau Miami to try their weekend brunch/lunch menu.
google avatar

Xavier M.

Yelp
Service here was really awesome and the drinks were fire! Especially their housemade Paloma. Be sure to try the sushi as well if you get the chance!

Yelp
A good friend and I went for a girls night for Miami spice. For some reason there was a discrepancy with the Miami spice menu but Paula our server was so attentive and did everything in her power to rectify it. She even ran to the kitchen to check which west coast oysters they had (I'm a bit of an oyster snob so I always like to know before hand). It's really cute place for girls night with a boho meets chic vibe. It's very lively and especially started picking up around 11 pm.
google avatar

Yelp
20/10 from the decor, music, entertainment and most importantly delicious food. I will 100% be coming back with my girls. We definitely had fun and great service.

Yelp
Arrived at this restaurant for a friends birthday(5 of us arrived out of party of 16) first impression was wow, this was place is gorgeous! Bohemian, lights, greenery. The moment we walked up looked like the manager or owner came to great us and sat us at our table. He asked 16 correct? As he walked us to the table, he was "counting" the chairs to see if there were enough.. We sat down the waiter came to us immediately, prob only because we were the only ones at the restaurant , he gave us all menus (total of 5) and water. Left the drink menu for us to see. Initial energy was great from server. We were the only table at the restaurant at 7PM. It started going down hill when we actually counted the chairs and realized there were 3 chairs missing. We kindly told him, and his reaction was "aaa no one told me it was 16.." went to get an additional table, in the process of moving the table/chair, one chair was thrown to the floor.. I'm sure it was an accident but came off very rude!! The rest of the party arrived.. no more additional menus ever came.. I can write about a lot about of small details that made our experience unpleasant. But to give you all a quick summary.. this place has the potential to be a great restaurant however they have no idea what they are doing. Menu is limited and they were out of food anyway, food is ehh, plates were served differently, "medium" steak came out burnt, octopus awas burnt, lobster pasta plate has great presentation however taste was homemade. We had 2 individuals who never received their food until everyone was done and plates were taken back. Felt like an eternity wait to just to wait on our server to bring bill and then even longer wait for them to pick up our cards. Management def needs to hire more waiters/servers. Looks like there were only a small amount of waiters handling the entire restaurant. Fans are placed randomly around the restaurant, didn't notice at the time but def noticed in all our pics. Tacky. And water was dripping on an individual from the ceiling all night. Good up side, while we were waiting.. show started. DJ Came, and at about 9/10PM, the place started to get full. Looks like people come to get bottles and enjoy the show/ house vibe DJ. Complementary mixed shots were given to birthday girl, that was very nice! Don't recommend this place! I also have a feeling the 5 star reviews on this location are fake.. it's a shame because I'm sure those 5 stars are why we I gave this place a chance.. don't do our mistake..

Yelp
Vibe : great atmosphere ! The decor is beautiful and well thought out! The bar looked amazing and I was excited to dine in with my girls. Waiter: goos server Drinks : $16-$18 really yummy well crafted drinks Now let's get Into why I am rating this two stars. First they charge 8 dollars for water ( regular water we asked for and they have us still Evian without telling you! So imagine my surprise when I saw 16 dollars for water on my bill! They should list the water in the drink menu, we left without drinking half the other bottle they charged me for. Secondly we all ordered Caesar salads and I would never ever order it nor recommend it again. They were Luke warm with cilantro and avocado in them. I have never had a Caesar with those ingredients. To my surprise avocado is listed on the menu but not the cilantros The Croûtons were all burnt and it was just not good. My girl added shrimp to Her salad and they were salty and way Over cooked. Moving on to the bathroom: it was dirty and the knob was missing. In addition to a lady had to run to the bar to grab napkins for everyone in the stall because no stall had toilet paper. Lastly , they charge every table 21% and they tax that on the bill as well. It was very unfortunate that this beautiful place missed the mark.

Yelp
Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant. I hate to write negative reviews but if I can save someone the trouble and money I will. To start it took two hours for our food to come out. Not to mention EVERYONE around us got their food first. I rarely say this but as a African American women I feel we see racially profiled. From the beginning our waitress had a very dismissive attitude. We asked her multiple specific questions due to allergies in the group and she gave us attitude with every question along with very subpar answers. After TWO HOURS of waiting we finally found a manger to complain our food was taking forever which not to mention was tasteless. Very bland nothing special at all. You can tell all they care about is aesthetics here. Bottle service , shots , lights shoes etc. but the service/food. TERRIBL. The manger was so rude and condensing when we expressed our concerns. I would never suggest this. SAVE YOURSELF AND DONT COME HERE. I could say so much more but it wouldn't even be worth it.
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
Let's just say... there's no communication between staff... no one knows when the show will start... we made reservations to be entertained with a show... the staff stated the performer would start at 9p then 9:30p, then 10pm, and then finally agree the performer would start at 11pm... and then when we were trying pay our bill the waiter requested more money for tip even when it was already included... please be aware of over tipping.

Yelp
Unreasonably overpriced, a mojito cost an arm and a leg, $28 for a drink. I was shocked and it barely had any alcohol. Would never come back here just based off of that.

Yelp
Great service and drinks, the bartender was very nice and helpful and the ambiance is such a vibe.

Yelp
This was my first time here for my friend's birthday(party of 8). I am very happy that we picked this place. Happy Hour Menu is perfect to start the night. The food was hot and fresh. Also the drinks were very good. The service was very smooth and quick. I would like to thank the manager Cfor taking care of us the whole night. He was professional, understanding , patient and went above and beyond ! The aesthetics was everything ! Very intimate, tropical like Miami but cozy. They serve hookah and it was amazing!! I will be back.

Yelp
ONLY WENT TO THE BAR -NOT THE RESTAURANT. Went to MAU MIA bar because they were playing great music, it looked cute and wanted a drink. One sweet bartender let us know she was ready for us whenever we were, which is good, we just weren't ready yet - so she walked away. We looked over the menu and about 5-10 mins passed. Another bartender came our way, and I asked her what were the best and cutest (galentines pictures) drinks on the menu - she blankly stared at me, slowly took a puff from a hookah, looked back at me, paused and in a very slurred voice , she told me her personal favorites as she blew the smoke in my face. I have never been so disrespected, disgusted, and annoyed. With her very slow reaction, extremely slurred speech, I can only assume she was high. We left and will never give this another try. So unprofessional.

Yelp
I ordered the shrimp and grits. Very delicious and flavorful. The grits were so good and creamy and the shrimp was fresh and cooked to perfection. I would upload a picture but it does no justice. The ambiance is beautiful, it gave me a vibe like I was in Tulum. The service was okay. Overall experience I would say 9/10

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Saturday. Made a reservation for 12:30pm. When we arrived there was only one other table in the entire restaurant. Ordered chicken and waffles and the steak and eggs. Our food took almost an hour. I don't mind waiting for food, but with only one other table in the restaurant I'm not sure what took an entire HOUR for our two entrees to come out. And of course you can guess it with all of these overpriced restaurants with horrible service, gratuity was indeed included.

Yelp
Came with a group. Service was great and drinks/food were delicious. Only complaint is chocolate chip french toast had just a tiny bit of chocolate sauce.

Yelp
The service, the ambiance. The food was spectacular. I ordered bread, and it was amazing, but the short rib pasta was everything

Yelp
What a horrible place!! I called days in advance to ask about ladies night and happy hour. The woman who answered the phone wasn't really sure about either, but said happy hour was weekdays between 5:30-7. She also mentioned there was an industry night, but she didn't know much about that either. They apparently open at 5:30 and I arrived at 5:40 for my 5:45 reservation. There was no hostess at the door, so I just stood there waiting for her to show up. When she did, I mentioned my reservation. She asked if I wanted to be seated inside or outside. I told her I was interested in happy hour, which she said I could only get at the bar. So I decided to sit at the bar. Who wants to pay full price based on seating?! When I got to the bar, the chairs were all over the place and there were two bartenders behind the bar. They ignored me for about 5 minutes and then I asked one of them for a happy hour menu. He responded, "we don't have happy hour" and he went on cleaning up the bar. I never got a water, a menu, or any acknowledgement from anyone. Plus, the female bartender was blatantly texting right in front of me. It was eerily quiet and empty. There were some other women at the bar, but they seemed to know the bartender. They were adjusting the lighting and turning on the music after they had already been open for 30 minutes. Overall, it just seems the place isn't well kept or managed. Plus, the restaurant didn't smell like food! Huge red flag. Finally, my friend showed up and I told her I was getting bad vibes from this place. So we left and went to a bar around the corner, where they really had a great happy hour! (Tap 42) Moral of the story, I will not return.
