A Definitive Ranking Of Literally Every West Hollywood Gay Bar - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Don’t look now, but Weho has turned into a sports bar district. The latest addition to the frat-themed lineup is 33 Taps. The chain has locations in Downtown and Silver Lake, where it regularly hosts Drag Race viewing parties and bingo, so it was only a matter of time before one opened on Santa Monica Boulevard. Is this a perfectly nice sports bar with solid weekly programming and a late-night happy hour with $5 beers? Yes. Is it also pretty indistinguishable from other nearby sports bars like GymBar, Hi Tops, Rocco's, and Schmitty's? Also yes." - brant cox

Stopped here for a quick dinner. Drag Trivia was happening but we had missed it unfortunately :( It was quite loud as the tables are very close together and it’s a tight squeeze. You order through the QR code so you don’t have a server. Food was great and so were the drinks.

Google
This place is easily my top 3. The food is good whether it’s happy hour or just a regular day for a bite to eat. I would recommend their burger and or tacos. You will fall in love with their range of food options . I also fell in love with the waiters, the warm welcome I get from Brandon, Eric and Mitchell when I walk in is undoubtedly the best out of any bar I’ve been to on my visit here. The place is clean, music is at a nice level (you can have a conversation and still hear one another), Brandon probably makes the best Paloma I’ve had EVER which says a lot because that’s all I usually order. I love this team here and will consistently go back to get this atmosphere again. Thank you all for making me feel comfortable and accepted can’t wait for my next happy hour fun here!

Google
We absolutely love this place on our recent trip to LA. Super friendly staff and delicious food and drinks. Their happy hour is awesome if you get to do it.

Google
I’ve been coming to this location since they opened. The food is fantastic and it seems to be a watering hole and social spot for anyone in the area who’s looking for excellent food , neutral vibes (juxtaposed to the weho strip status quo) and a focused staff. They’ve been through multiple managers since I”ve been a patron and it seems as if the owners micro-manage their staff intensely during day to day operations which is apparent recently not only from the general atmosphere but the staffs strict adherence to new protocols that are so random and take away from the guest experience. Running around taking photos of tasks to be completed is so odd and can be achieved in other ways that push trust towards staff and not line by line guidance. I only bring this up because during the World Series recently, I witnessed workers running around trying to do these things and it just takes away from what the customer service was. I love always trying to be better, but lately it seems as if things have become far too corporate (from my outside eye) and not as fun or relaxed as before. I don’t know the owners and the staff hasn’t said anything but the tension is obvious. Buffalo chicken salad slaps tho- team in the back is the best bar kitchen on the strip!

Google
Thai wings were killer! Added sweet potato fries as a side and they were some of the best sweet potato fries I’ve had

Google
GREAT NEW SPORTS BAR FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD! Although 33 Taps is not a new concept to Angelinos, the weho location is fabulous! Great open air format. Same menu that you love. The servers are friendly and fantastic. We have already been twice. They play every sports game. I recommend the wings, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the cob salad. This is becoming a new favorite local spot!

Google
We stopped here for an app between visiting the Getty and returning to the Beverly Hilton. It was a great vibe, even on a Wednesday in the middle of the afternoon. We had wings and steak quesadilla with a 33 beer and Cadillac margarita. Our bartender, Brandon, was great. Everyone seemed to love him.

Google
This was my first time at 33 Taps. I sat at the bar and had a quick dinner before heading to the airport. It was really good! I had the boneless chicken wings with sweet Thai glaze and ranch. The glaze was on point - not swimming in it, but enough to provide a great flavor to the chicken. I had their light beer on tap, which was also quite good. The bartender was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.

Yelp
This review is for the food only. I don't drink alcohol and haven't been to 33 Taps other than to dine. I've been here several times with friends for Sunday late morning breakfast. All of us get together often to catch up and enjoy good food. We like coming here because it's not overly crowded on Sunday mornings. The food is actually very good. It really is. We've tried everything from breakfast, different types of salads with protein, tacos, burritos, steak, burgers, and salmon bowls. No one in our group ever had a bad meal. We like the extensive menu options, even on a Sunday morning. I've had the tacos previously, and they are good. Good size tacos with plenty of chicken or steak. I usually get the same breakfast; eggs with bacon and a side of truffle fries. The eggs are scrambled perfectly to my liking, the bacon is crispy and large in size. The portion of truffle fries is large and always come out hot. It's great to come here in the morning because it's much quieter than later in the day. They show live sports which is a big plus for me; especially during baseball season. Food comes out hot and pretty quick. It's always fresh and flavorful. The staff is always friendly and attentive to us. Next time your go-to breakfast place is too crowded, think of trying 33 Taps.

Yelp
I've been to all the 33 Taps locations at this point, and I gotta say this one is such a perfect fit for West Hollywood. The disco balls overhead? A whole mood. They really help set the playful, vibrant energy of the space that makes it feel more than just another sports bar. We came by not expecting anything major, but surprise! There was a game night happening (trivia or bingo? I wasn't even mad I didn't know) and they also had pitcher specials which made it even better. Love when the vibes are good and you catch a deal. Parking was a breeze (which is not always a given in WeHo), so that was a huge plus. (Also was a weekday) The vibe inside? Lively, fun, but not too chaotic. Staff gave us space but still checked in at the right times big appreciation for that. Bathrooms are what you'd expect from any standard bar setup nothing fancy, but totally fine. Overall, this spot gives you exactly what you want from a casual night out: good energy, great drinks, friendly staff, and a little unexpected fun along the way. If you're in the area, definitely worth the stop (and don't forget to look up at those disco balls ).

Yelp
As a transplant, it's great to finally have a bar that doesn't dominate EVERY screen with local teams. Don't get me wrong... I dig me some rams and chargers but... every bar in LA is playing those ad nauseam. Nice to be able to have a bar that feels inclusive for other teams. Food is... probably the best I've ever had in a sports bar. Chicken tenders have never tasted so good... seriously. Try em. Staff is on point as well. They know what they're doing. Whoever is captaining that ship is steering it in the right direction. In a sea of sports bars, this one ACTUALLY stands out.

Yelp
Nice bar. Parking is rough but I lucked up and found a meter. When I walked in the bar was busy from the patio to the back of the bar. It is smaller than I thought, so come early if you want to grab a good spot! Ive been to most of the locations and this one by far was super packed. The bartenders and waiters are nonstop busy and you have to stare at them when you are sitting at the bar. I ordered the Brussels sprouts and a chicken quesadilla. Both were good and Im glad I got it during happy hour. I will most likely stick with my Culver city location, the parking is easier and its crowded but not packed

Yelp
I was a die-hard Stache fan, so when 33 Taps took over the space, I came in with my arms crossed and expectations low. But wow... this place has completely won me over. The energy is upbeat without being overwhelming, the space looks great, and the food? Legitimately delicious. Not your typical bar fare - the buffalo cauliflower alone are worth the trip (and I'm not even a vegetarian). And then there's Kendon, the barback who occasionally fills in at the bar. After 20 years of bouncing around West Hollywood, I can say with full confidence he's my new favorite. He's hilarious, welcoming, totally unpretentious -- and if you catch him behind the bar - makes one of the best margaritas in town. It's rare to find someone who brings that much personality and warmth behind the bar. Bottom line: 33 Taps has become a new staple for me. Great drinks, fun crowd, killer snacks -- and just enough edge to feel like old-school WeHo with a fresh twist.

Yelp
Awesome sports bar with really good food options and solid cocktails. They're always playing the game on the big screens, and the staff are always so accommodating! The perfect spot to decompress and enjoy the entertainment.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Bartenders were kind and accommodating when asked to change the channel to the MLS game! Would definitely go back to try their food as it all looks delicious!

Yelp
This place is so much fun. The DJ Is on point. Her name is DJ Asha.com. Everyone was friendly and we danced the night away. The ambiance is very West Hollywood. Nothing fancy but lots of fun. Never got a chance to try the food. Maybe next time.

Yelp
I was looking forward to visiting this location, given my positive experiences at the DTLA location. For Thursday night football, the place was lively but not overly crowded. The food and drinks were okay, as expected from a sports bar. Overall, it was a cool experience, until closing time. One of the servers yelled out, "The bar is now closed, everyone out." I was taken aback by his tone and asked why the announcement was so abrupt. He responded that there had been a "5 and 30-minute warning." I, and the large group of people now outside, all agreed we hadn't heard any warning. Instead of giving customers warnings, I would prefer to be informed it's closing time, thanked for visiting, and encouraged to return.

Yelp
I don't like how close the seating is, it makes it very awkward trying to get around on a busy day. The cauliflower wings are so well made! They were crispy and flavorful. I ordered half bbq and half medium Buffalo wings. Sooo yummy!
google avatar

Rich T.

Yelp
We stopped by for a late lunch after a shopping trip. Everything about the place was great! They had a menu with options for any taste and plenty of beers on tap. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I liked the self service order option at the table and the patio seating had great views of old Route 66. Nice WEHO vibes that my whole family enjoyed. Get the burger of chicken & waffles....you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Hugo V.

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday for trivia night and had a pretty good time (also won a free pitch of beer ). I also had the protein bowl and it was delicious, wish I had taken a photo. Only downside was they closed at around 11pm and we pretty much got kicked out ‍
google avatar

Bella B.

Yelp
we had a couple really rummy beers here! but the star of the show was Hakeem (not sure spelling i'm sorry Hakeem)! He was so sweet and nice and helpful! We will definitely come back to visiti just for him!
google avatar

Yelp
Love 33 Taps. Chris was the best. Super attentive, the vibe was great and the food was delicious.

Yelp
Excellent addition to the Blvd. Very pleased with the service, efficiency, food and beverage. $25 pitcher and it's a nice sized one to boot. Staff has friendly attitude and pretty easy on the eyes too. It would be nice to see a pride flag hung inside. This is WeHo.
google avatar

Yelp
Grand opening coming up this Sunday, October 27. They are currently soft opened. Great addition to the West Hollywood scene with plenty of screens for games and complements Hi Tops and Gym Bar. Hopefully they show drag race when the season comes up as well! Promising place so far serving beer, liquor, and food along with a Happy Hour menu. Would like subtitles for other screens that are not on the main audio.

Yelp
This bar just opened in WeHo. We had been to the downtown location and were looking for a place to watch a 10 am football game with our two small pups. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They were happy to switch any TV we wanted (there are many!) to the game we were looking for. Each table has a QR code where you can order your own food and drinks, which makes it quick and easy. The food came out quickly and was good overall. We ordered the cauliflower wings, garlic fries, and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks in particular were great. The best part was the puppy meals (proceeds go to local shelters). The beef and rice was a hit with our dogs! Overall, would highly recommend if you're looking for a comfortable place to watch sports with your pets! Great service, super dog friendly, and not too crowded.

Yelp
Believe it or not this place is great for kids! We come here at least once a week with our 6 year old. Right across the street from the playground and has a great happy hour for everyone. We love it here!
google avatar

Teresa R.

Yelp
We went during a football game. The restaurant is clean well managed, and it felt like a fun place to celebrate. The service was a little slow. All restaurants have turnover. But it is worth going and cheering on your favorite team!
google avatar

Yelp
Came in last week with some friends after hoping around on the strip. Wasn't sure what to get, but our server Mitchell cracked a silly joke and made some recommendations. The cauliflowers wings were the perfect snack to help me keep enjoying the night. He was so right! Will deff be back in for more of the food menu and drinks anytime I'm with friends in WeHo.

Yelp
I was surprised to see so many open tables when we arrived but it definitely filled up as we sat to eat . Our group ordered the fish and chips which was good, the fries were tasty the Cole slaw was dry and needs more seasoning . The wedge salad was really good but could use more dressing and the chicken nachos were good , some burnt chips but overall all delicious for bar food. The calamari was not really good , a little fishy and not fresh, I wouldn't order those again . But the drinks were good, and they offered beer samples if asked . There is no wait staff to come to the table unless they are delivering food ,that's a little annoying . There is a water station but I'm always weary of those for sanitation reasons. I wish there was fresh water offered .

Yelp
Been here a couple of times. Vibe is great, food is wonnderful, but by far the best thing was the bartender Eric. Made sure my glass wan't empty and great to talk too. Definitely recommend

Mayra D.

Yelp
Chris was the best! Very attentive and very sweet! Good customer service I would say 1000/10 service! RECOMMEND

Ty

Yelp
This is the best bar in West Hollywood. Food is great. Drinks are poured / made well. Great atmosphere. Massive TVs for sports. All inclusive bar and clientele. A big shout out to Eric the bar tender, he goes above and beyond service levels, always make you feel welcome if you're straight, gay , bI or lesbian. Ask for Eric if you decide to check it out. The owners stop in and spend time to talk to customers. It's bloody awesome.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for trivia the other night. My first impression is that they did an excellent job remodeling the space from the previous place that was here. The staff is great. The food is delicious as well. We did have a snafu with the ordering system at the table, but it was handled well by the staff and management. We ordered a variety of foods from the burger to the vegetarian items, and everything was very tasty. The food was brought out promptly as well. We look forward to returning again soon.
google avatar

Yelp
We met-up with friends from OC to celebrate my partners birthday and ended up here. The place was super busy but the staff was amazing and patient with my partner who needed a meal but is allergic to onions. Food was served promptly and was very good. We recognized Manager Matt from other venues he managed in the past. He was in the background the entire time scanning the environment, working hands-on to keep things running smoothly. I have never been to a sports themed venue with cleaner bathrooms, better food and a more positive vibe.
google avatar

Juan A.

Yelp
Excellent sports bar in the middle of West Hollywood. Great video screens and delicious food! Great service. We saw the UCLA vs USC Football Game here & it was an awesome setting!

J B.

Yelp
We went for a brunch drink and your fish & chips. On our first visit when you were first opening, we had it and it was delicious. Requiring us to download & enter our credit card info just to order a drink is ridiculous. The table next to us was frustrated with the Toast system and left without ordering anything. We only ordered a drink then went elsewhere to continue our day as we were frustrated too. Guess what, the fish & chips that we returned for isn't on the menu anymore. Please get rid of the Toast system, it's not good for business.
google avatar

Ana W.

Yelp
Came for the Super Bowl and had the best time. The food was INCREDIBLE! The nachos, salad, wings, everything. The pitchers were delicious and super affordable. Our server Elisabeth was so much fun and made our day. Coming back every weekend! Vibes were incredible!!!!

Yelp
I'm a really big fan of 33 Taps, my friends and I frequent the Silverlake location during football season but ever since I moved been dreading the long commute so was super stoked when they announced the new WeHo location. Ordering is super easy via the QR code on each table and my friend and I were blown away by the attention to detail in the location. The crowd was nice, and during a dodger game some patrons gave us their table because they saw us in dodger gear and they were just there for a drink not the game, how thoughtful! On another occasion we sat at the bar and was served by Eric, who was super courteous, very knowledgeable, and attentive! 100/10 for Eric's service and looking forward to coming back!

Graham N.

Yelp
This place is always so welcoming! The street tacos are really good!! Love Eric, Taylor, McGee, Matt, are amazing, they will guide to what you want. Love my sports, bleed blue, sneeze commanders but hey play other teams, it's all good, as long as I can see my team. Which they always do, fyi the blond is a great beer

Max T.

Yelp
Great to have a gay sports bar that actually plays sports. Matt, the gm--great guy. Also.. go niners!

Austin H.

Yelp
Vibe - food - service - all top notch .... Best margaritas outside of a Mexican restaurant i have had in L.A.
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
Good beer, good service and good food and a great place to watch the game, I went with three friends and had a blast later in the evening they had drag queen bingo, and wow that was fun to see!

Lady S.

Yelp
The food is always delicious here! I discovered it quite by accident having my car repaired and was starving. I went to the one in Silverlake, delicious. I went back again. Today I ordered take-out in West Hollywood, last minute and was surprised they had it ready. My favorite chicken club with mixed garlic and cajun fries were DELICIOUS!!!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
33 Taps has such a nice space for a chill vibe for a Monday. If you're looking to relax and catch up with friends I highly recommend coming here. Also, Blake was an amazing server. He treated us so nicely and if you have him as server then you got blessed because he will treat you very well where your experience at 33 Taps will feel like a safe space. Come through fam.
google avatar

Samuel L.

Yelp
The general ambience and overall service is amazing. I often come for the happy hour specials and the kind service. Kendon Turner for example exudes charisma and is always a joy to see at the front door.
google avatar

Fatima C.

Yelp
Elisabeth was the most delight and made our first time experience so amazing! She was so helpful I making our Australian guests so welcome. She was so personable and friendly, we will definitely be back!
google avatar

Teddy B.

Yelp
We came to this place to watch the UFC fight. Please was lit, the food was great and the staff are so nice! If you go make sure you ask for KAT, she was the best part of the night. Such a sweetheart. Give this women a raise.
google avatar

Cristian C.

Yelp
Bahn mi fries are GAS! Def a side for the table. Atmosphere is dope, a nicely done bar and enough tvs to watch games and fight events! Also! Taylor and Hakeem are the best!!! Always great service and a positive attitude.

Ben T.

Yelp
As a non-drinker this is my favorite WeHo bar. It has a very civilized vibe to it and is focused on food. It has the best food of any WeHo bar. I really like the ordering system. You pick a table and you scan a QR code and you order on an app. No awkward having to flag down a waiter, having waiters upsell you/guilt you, disappearing on you, etc. No splitting tabs with friends. You pay upfront, you tip upfront, the food and drink comes out, and you leave when you're done.
google avatar

James P.

Yelp
Great place to watch a game and have good beer. The tacos were excellent and the bartenders were amazing. We were in town for a few days and looking for a place to watch the Celtics and the NFL draft - stayed for 6 hours! Great happy hour specials.

Jorge X.

Yelp
I've come here many times. In fact, I met my husband here when it used to be Stache. I won't be returning. Blake has the nastiest attitude. Not to mention he didn't even great us nor acknowledged us he said "what do you want" Over all, nasty attitude.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
Great staff, atmosphere and food! Great for watching the game solo or with friends/colleagues. Owner is really cool and sits amongst customers, you'd never know it.

Erik F.

Yelp
Great atmosphere ! Amazing Mezcal margarita, make sure you ask Eric to make it! Sunday funday!
google avatar

Edwin H.

Yelp
Amazing sports bar! One of the few places (if not the only place) that offers late night happy hour, and the drinks are tasty! Always feel very welcomed by Kendon at the door, he always brings great energy once you come in! We always make sure to stop by on our weekend outings!
google avatar

Kamaal R.

Yelp
Today I stepped into 33taps newest venture in West Hollywood and I'm telllling you these folks ate down! Taylor was our bartender knowledgeable and friendly. The crispy chicken sando is a must. Service slaps, food smacks, and libations are abundant. Whether you'd like a beer, cocktail or mocktail your needs will be taken care of! I'll definitely be returning to my new weho bar.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
Food as easy to order. Don't reall Need I even talk to anyone. All digital ..lots of tvs on wall, very stimulating environment, friendly staff in case you do need something. Had nachos they were good

Yelp
Thank you for David. It makes the best drinks ever good espresso martini. They've really good taps.. The prices are really good and you can watch the games with good music.
