I took the 7 subway line to Hudson Yards yesterday and really enjoyed seeing the beautiful new train station, which opened its doors in September 2015. It’s impressive how modern it looks, with its spacious platforms, wide corridors, and sleek design. The station feels welcoming, making it easy for people to navigate.
The 34th Street-Hudson Yards station has a total of four escalators: three going down to the train platform and one for the return trip to street level. Each escalator flight is relatively long and consists of about 40 steps. In addition to its architectural highlights, the station promotes accessibility with elevators and tactile guide paths for those with disabilities.
The station's entrance is situated near a variety of attractions, including shopping, dining, and entertainment options, making it a convenient hub for exploring the area.
After checking out the station, I wandered over to the Hudson Yards train parking yard nearby. It was fascinating to see where all the trains are stored and maintained.
The whole area around Hudson Yards is vibrant and filled with energy. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, making it a perfect spot to hang out after taking the train. I loved exploring modern architecture and the unique art installations.
Overall, my trip to Hudson Yards was a great experience. I enjoyed my time there from noon until late evening. The combination of the new train station and the surrounding attractions made for a memorable day. I can't wait to go back and see more of what this exciting part of the city has to offer!
