Came here for the first time while I was waiting for my appointment down the street. The chicken salad was delicious. It was huge and I didn't think I was going to finish it but I ate it all. I will definitely go back if I'm in that area again.

Google
Cute place. Good parking. Went for lunch with a colleague. Lots of options I loved my chicken burger in a bowl. Very flavourful. Chicken was juicy and well seasoned. Whole bowl was refreshing and super filling

Google
The food was absolutely amazing! Wanted to try something new and this place was it. Steak was tender, lamb was tasty. We ordered the cheese tray and everything was just perfect. The key lime pie was delicious.

Google
This restaurant is an underrated gem. They have counter service for lunch, but in the evening, there is table service. The food is excellent, with a varied menu, and this is one of the few places where you can get homemade fries.if you miss your grandmother’s coconut cake, theirs is classic and is probably better than hers anyway . There is plenty of parking in the back . This is a lovely, friendly place.

Google
The brussel sprouts were amazing! The sandwiches were a little on the plain side but really hit the spot for a nice brunch with healthy options. The waitress was so nice, but did bring us the wrong order twice, which is okay since we were just there to enjoy some time with family.

Kayla Copeland

Google
This was our first time eating here, it was one of the best brunches we've had! I love the club and fruit parfait. The employees were so nice, great environment! 10/10 highly recommend.

Google
I didn't know they closed at 3 and I walked in at 2:56. They were still so kind and took time to make a delicious sandwich for me. The coconut cake was delicious!

Google
Wasn’t expecting this small restaurant to be so good, but it was! The food was amazing and the staff was very nice!! My friend and I bookmarked this place so we can be sure to come back! :) overall I’d give a 10/10!!

Yelp
Nestled in central Austin is this hidden gem. If you don't know it's there, you can miss it. I was greeted quickly and warmly when I entered. I ordered the salmon dish with the fingerling potatoes and roasted broccoli. The salmon had a nice hint of lemon flavor to it. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the broccoli was roasted to perfection. My boyfriend is super picky but he was happy with his food too. He ordered a marg pizza with a side of Brussels sprouts. We were seated in the back of the restaurant and it was pretty quiet. There were only a few occupied tables around us. Service was great. Our waitress was very attentive without being over the top. Overall, I'd visit here again!

Yelp
Went there with. My wife and gosh it was loud. Not a quiet place to have peace. It was louder than a ment.al instit.ution. The buns on the burger were commercial crap quality and the fries were greasy. The few desserts they had were terrible. .

Yelp
Love this spot. Service and food quality is always excellent, tables are clean, prices are reasonable. This is a gem of a spot that people don't often think about and it is a go-to spot for a good meal, served quickly for a fair price.

Yelp
Sorry, but nope. How does a $15 salad plus $6 of chicken turn into a $31 bill? A $4.00 pickup charge hidden under "taxes and fees". No, I didn't ask them to bring it out to the car, I went in to get it. If I had known about the fee, I wouldn't have added a tip. And the attitude at the counter from the guy in a stocking cap certainly was not worth the pickup charge nor the tip. On top of that he was terse in responding to a question from another dine-in customer

Yelp
Great food and nice atmosphere; just wish there was better (more) parking! Excellent for lunch- get there early!

Yelp
High quailty food with a menu with many options. Great wine choices to go with your meal.

Yelp
I went there for today at lunch for the first time. They have a great lunch menu. The staff is extremely friendly and the salad I had was amazingly good.

Yelp
Wow! So good, I had the cioppino tonight and my wife had the salmon special. Both were fantastic as well as the service and atmosphere. Go here and enjoy.

Stan S.

Yelp
A buddy wanted to try this place, disappointed in several ways. First the wednesday special came with a choice of protein, as long as you pick chicken, chicken or chicken, which was too dry for my liking. Then, when i asked for a large order of fries to go, it somehow incurred a hidden 20% service fee on top of a container fee plus my added on tip. $10 BUCKS for a small portion of fries to go..... I won't be going back.

Yelp
When upon entering, the staff seemed completely unprepared despite there being open tables. We were then sat down and looked at the menu which contains 5-6 main entrees. My uncle and mom (we went there for his birthday) decided to choose the red fish and were told that they had none left. How do you have no red fish left when there are only 5-6 options, while also being on a Saturday. I chose the filet minion and was satisfied with the steak, it was really good. The sides were subpar. Throughout the entire 1-1:30 hour dinner, my water was filled once at the very end when everyone was finished with their food. The service is not satisfactory. Im 19 years old and I was looking forward to having a great dinner as we rarely do this, but I would've honestly given my parents more cash to spend to go to a different place. I would of rather gone to red lobster where I'll be greeted nicely . The atmosphere is calming and the bathrooms are nice. I would of gotten something like the salmon or red fish if I had to go back.

Yelp
We had not been in years and it was great to go for dinner the other night. Everything was beautifully prepared with care and very tasty. Had the cioppino which can sometime be a massive bowl of overwhelming spicy tomato broth with a few seafood bites. This was a beautifully composed bowl of a touch of flavorful broth with a lovely stack of seafood. Chicken piccata was lovely and deserving of the rave reviews it gets. Interesting wine selections. Good plates to share for starters. All are meant for one or two people depending on how much you plan to order. Good service. Very busy. Get a reservation if you have more than two.

Yelp
Service was fantastic I have to say. Super friendly and accommodating. Food was good - I really liked the best salad and lamb chops. This is a small restaurant with a cozy vibe. We went for NYE dinner and they had balloons and decor up. Really cute vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
Truly impressed. Pricing, ambiance, flavor, options, allllll great! The outside doesn't look like much but whoever designed the interior did a fantastic job with decor/lighting! My husband and I got the crab cakes & bread + oil for appetizers. Both great but omg the crab cakes are killer! The toppings We actually both got the red fish with rice and okra and wow!! Every single bite had so much flavor and fish was cooked to perfection. I'm pregnant so I couldn't drink, but their wine menu was great as well! Bravo

Yelp
Really cozy little spot that makes for a great date night spot. While the dishes aren't out there as far as creativity goes, they're well executed and tasty! Friendly and helpful staff.

Yelp
I picked up take out from 34th Street Cafe a few weeks back while in Austin on business! I ordered two salads - the salmon salad and the club salad - and two Topo Chico. My food was ready on time for pick up and the associate I interacted with was friendly. He noticed that their Topo Chico weren't very cold and got me cups of ice to take with me. The presentation of both salads was good and although I didn't try the club salad, my colleague really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed my salmon salad and felt that the portion of salmon was generous and the size of the salad was big enough to have some leftover. Overall, a good experience!

Yelp
This place is it!! Had the lunch special today, Grilled Pimento Cheese on sourdough with a side salad. AMAZING!!! Not something I would normally order but WOW!!

Celia F.

Yelp
went in to get two slices of cake from the counter. they charged us not only a 4 dollar packaging fee but a 7 dollar service fee?? for counter service???? absolutely insane, never returning.

Ally M.

Yelp
We were so excited to try this cafe and wine bar. I have celiac and was pleased to see a plethora of GF labeled options on the menu including bread and pizza crust and thought we stumbled across another safe option in Austin. Everything we attempted to order, clearly labeled GF on the menu, had 1-2 ingredients with wheat (ie soy sauce dressing, flour added to meatloaf and sauce, fries tossed in flour, etc) and serving staff had no idea until pressed to double check with the chef. We asked why they were mislabeled on the menu and the server said we were the tenth complaint that month about the menu errors and the owner doesn't care. If you're advertising yourself as allergy friendly in Austin but don't pay attention to your menu and/or specific ingredients, these mistakes are going to get you sued and/or make one of your patrons seriously ill. There are enough restaurants in Austin that care. If you don't, just take the GF designations off your menu. We tried to make the best of the situation and order food we knew would be safe. Unfortunately food was still pretty poor quality. Ordered an Asian cabbage salad I was so excited about that had no cabbage and nothing Asian about it. Lettuce was field greens and wilted. Had very few added veggies. Again, nothing like the description on the menu. Until the owner/management decides they care enough to have their menu descriptions match what you're actually getting, and they improve the quality of the food, I would skip this place.

Yelp
We love 34th Street HOWEVER buyer beware that now when you order "to go" (supposedly just at night), you'll be told one final amount and then they will add a tip on afterwards without your knowledge or consent. We recently had a fairly large order for six. We gave our cc number over the phone with a set amount, picked up the food and then looked later at cc charges. 20% had been added on for tip with no mention either with cc or at pickup. When I called two different times, I was told that this was now standard procedure for dinner "to to" orders. Having looked into this since, might I say that this could fall under fraud and can't be legal. Knowing Eddie pretty well, it is surprising that he has implemented and condones this practice. We eat at 34th St. quite often and always love our meals. Friendliness sort of depends on the day. Service is certainly nothing close to years past - not even close. 34th St./Eddie has catered events for us as well and we've been happy - but this new practice is surprising and disappointing.

Yelp
Had a great date night here on a Thursday evening. Parties were spaced out in the different seating areas, and the ambiance was classy but casual. I've never even noticed this cafe/wine bar in passing, and I could tell it was a friendly neighborhood place. When we left, the owner was sitting at the bar and asked if we enjoyed everything and if we had dined there before. We started with 2 glasses of wine and the charcuterie board with venison sausage. The plate was beautifully arranged and had unique flares like frozen grapes and grapefruit! I ordered the pasta and my boyfriend ordered the pork chops. We kept stealing bites from each other because it was so good. For dessert we got a cookies and cream fudge-type cake. Super rich!

Yelp
Really love this place. The food is a bit pricey but the quality matches and in my two trips here I've thoroughly enjoyed both of my dishes. I was impressed with the service as well, both times our waiters have been very kind and attentive. You can tell they care about their customers and that they're passionate about the food and wine they provide. One of our favorite spots in Austin and we're planning to come back again for our anniversary.

Yelp
34th Street never disappoints. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Everything I've ever had here was delicious. Just had the chicken sandwich and fries, and it was delicious!! Great selection and daily specials.

Yelp
Dinner here was A-OK. My redfish entree was good, but one might expect a bit more finesse and subtlety from a $29 entree. I think it was a good execution of a mediocre idea: A high-quality portion of fish, almost charred on the outside but still remarkably moist on the inside. I know that is difficult to achieve, but the resulting flavor and texture wasn't transcendent in any way. The fingerling potatoes and broccolini underneath the fish were flavorful, swimming in a pleasant brothy sauce preparation. A shared Caesar salad was serviceable but unremarkable. Service was casual in a good way - no pomp and ceremony, but every one of our numerous requests for extra-this-and-thats were accommodated gracefully. The atmosphere was a high point - the space was nice and the lighting just right for it. In a word, adult - again, in a good way. No thumping music and no 90 decibel chatter. No hipster pretense and no artfully tortured or painfully esoteric preparations on the menu. Just a nice, relaxing vibe where you can have a good conversation without raising your voice. That alone is almost worth paying extra for. Almost. Consider this three-star review not a sub-par evaluation, but a statement that this pleasant cafe offers no more, nor no less than what one should expect at a price point for $20-$30 dinner entrees. Cheers!

Yelp
All Hail Ye Old Faithful! Been coming to 34th Street Cafe for the last 15 years and likely one of the only restaurants in Austin that hasn't fluctuated wildly during that time. Reading the bad service reviews on here are extremely shocking as we have experienced both nothing than over the top, outstanding service but suppose the labor shortage may be bringing out the Karen's. Now to the food: For lunch, don't skip the Chinese hack salad. It's 2 meals in one, loaded with moist chicken and flavor is on point. Pro tip: if you're not a big dressing fan then definitely recommend getting it on the side as it can run a bit wet. They also serve up a very respectable Reuben and their chicken salad goes up against the best in town. For dinner, the bacon wrapped shrimp is a must for appetizers. The shrimp is cooked to literal perfection and the honey glaze is an excellent sweet touch. On that same note, the Caesar salad with shrimp is best in town, period. Also, their lamb chops never disappoint. Good to a perfect medium, they don't quite let the au gratin potatoes still the show even though they do their very best! Bonus: a fairly robust wine list with plenty of by the glass options as well Overall, 34th Street Cafe is what it is. A nicely decorated, well ran neighborhood spot that is established because it consistently delivers. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Giving this a 1 star due to to poor communication when making a pick up order. Was told one thing how the food was made over the phone, when only to find out if was completely opposite. Was told quinoa would be in salmon salad, it wasn't. The portion for the price you pay is ridiculously small. The salad leaves (which is a majority of the salads) was wilted and old. The venison burger was overcooked (asked for med rare). The shrimp wasn't even peeled in the shrimp salad. Will NOT be returning to this place ever again. Very disappointed.

Paul G.

Yelp
Quail, Crab cakes and Shrimp appetizers with an IPA and wine for our first get together in months.....terrific
google avatar

Yelp
I recommend 34th Street for lunch. It is counter service at lunch and they have an outstanding menu of salads & sandwiches. A bunch of the sandwiches are good, but the lunch time star is their Chicken Hack Salad.
google avatar

Yelp
Horrible customer service. The gal at the counter seemed annoyed by our mere presence. She didn't greet us, keep her back to us and then when she did finally turn around she talked in an awful rude tone.  She finally seated us and she continued to be so rude and was so bothered to wait on us. She never refilled out water and we could hardly get a chance to order dessert. It was really shocking to get treated that way. I actually never stiffed a waitress but I honestly just could not leave a tip for the type of service we received. It was really disgusting to see her treat customers in the way that she did. She clearly should not be working in the service industry.

Yelp
Meeeemorieeeeesss.....like the corners of my mind..... Hubby and I got to return here for lunch this past weekend. We'd just left Vino Vino's Turkeyfest and had sampled roughly 35 wines in an hour on an empty stomach. We needed some spongy bread STAT, and I was a little thrilled (enhanced by tipsy) to walk back into this place, one of our old haunts "back in the day". In our salad days, I was working right across the street at Bailey Square taking xrays and hubby was the UPS driver for this area. This was back when I had A WHOLE HOUR for lunch and I could eat carbs at will with no repercussion, so we ate here probably once a week for years. All the staff knew us and the owner, Eddie, would always flirt just enough with my hubby in his wittle brown shorts to make him embarrassed and yet, somehow flattered. I would always get a sammie and fries or a chicken or tuna salad salad. I remembered them to have some of the best fries in town so I was interested to see how today's food would hold up to my admittedly rose tinted memories. This weekend I got my old favorite, the Italian Sandwich and fries and hubby got the Rueben. That sandwich rocked my tipsy world, loaded as it was with several Italian cold cuts and cheeses and served on an olive oil and rosemary foccacia. Nothing too fancy about it but delicious. And, yes....the FRIES! Perfectly cut, these ain't your wimpy shoestring variety nor your bulky steak fries. They are just riiiiight and seasoned perfectly. Just like I remembered. As a bonus, they also have yummy crispy pickles! Hubby really enjoyed his Rueben as well. I was so happy to see quite a few lunch diners here as, for me, I sometimes forget this little gem is tucked away here. Still the service has always been friendly and prompt. Even back in the day, lunch here would still leave us with 15 minutes to spare, uh, inspecting packages in hubby's UPS truck :) Definitely a place to put back on my radar when in the area. The food is great and the memories make me all warm n fuzzy inside (wine helps :). Btw, there's parking in the back! (that's what he said....)

Yelp
I found this spot at my lunch break and the staff and owner treat everyone so well. They remembered my birthday and brought me a brownie and my favorite Prosecco. They just know how to make someone feel really special
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent coffee, service was absolutely on point too. The staff here are very hospitable and nice. Would recommend to anyone!

Yelp
Stopped by today to give this place a chance. The lunch special was very good, and the ladies behind the counter were really nice to customers. Such a change from a few years ago, when customer service was so rude when I was there.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
I'm doing a review only on their lunch menu. It was a very disappointing experience. We ordered 4 salads, 1 burger and 1 sandwich for 6 people for lunch. The salads were ridiculously pricey for how much food it comes with. My shrimp Caesar had only about 5 pieces of shrimps in it for $15, half peeled with shells still on, burnt croutons and basically an entire head of lettuce in there. The lettuce were wilted and not fresh. I was still starving after my grassy lunch. My other friends' salad were not good either. Same story with the lettuce leaves. Was told quinoa would come on the salads for two of them, it did not. The salmon was dry and tasteless. My other friend's burger was cooked over well done when she asked for medium rare. Only person happy was the sandwich guy. We will NOT be back again.

Bobby C.

Yelp
The rudest staff ever. Was planning a surprise 50th birthday party, called and confirmed my ressie three days before the reservation... day of, we called to see if we could come 10 mins early to set balloons and were told our reservation was for less people than we reserved (mind you I called ahead to confirm and all was good). The hostess could not have been more rude (our confirmed ressie was for 8pm) and told me we maybe could be seated by 10pm, beyond unapologetic and beyond rude. I would eat out of a dumpster before I would go here. It's a shame this old institution supports this complete lack of customer service. I used to be sad when old Austin places closed but I am starting to think it's a good thing. They literally do not care about the customer and think longevity will keep them afloat. If you want to be treated like garbage, then go here, if you actually want to be treated like a customer... I would recommend McDonalds over this place.
google avatar

Nan C.

Yelp
We've started a Thursday night date night again, and went back here after a long hiatus Food was excellent, Scandi design calming, love the playlist one of their manager's chose for the night, and the customer service was very friendly and prompt. We had the shrimp gemelli with pistachio pesto, chicken picatta and then because we needed to put ourselves in food coma ordered two delicious desserts. The coconut cake is food crack. Great experience back out in the world.
google avatar

Kathy B.

Yelp
I ordered online and paid with Chow now. When I went to pick it up I don't even think they had looked at their online orders. If you're not going to look at the system then don't use i, don't have time to sit and wait when I ordered and just want to pick up! $12.00 for a hack salad which was the size of a small dinner salad. That's way overpriced for a stupid salad if you want to charge that much make it bigger. Three dollars for a tiny little Styrofoam cup of ice tea to go, really that wasn't even with $1.50 if you can't get bigger cups reduced the price very simple it's called customer service! Just not impressed at all with this place you think is so grand
google avatar

Mathew C.

Yelp
Awful. Over priced. Poor service. Just keep driving. I had a question post ordering that the owner/manager clearly couldn't be bothered answering as I had already ordered and paid. Salad was at best made in 3yr olds play group.
google avatar

Hugh P.

Yelp
Hack salad and Shrimp Linguini, both superb. My wife eats here for lunch often, and raves about the Hack Salad. During lunch it is a fast casual style, but we hit dinner which is full service. The whole experience was great, and the single piece of Coconut Cake we shared, was more than we could handle.
google avatar

A J.

Yelp
A local secret. Excellent service, great wine selection and menu. Local favorite is the chicken piccata. I agree. Tender, full of flavor and good size portion. The steak was cooked to order - medium rare. Seasoned and excellent flavor. A must is the coconut cake. It has become our weekly go-to.

Yelp
One of the best salads I've had! We got there right after they had opened again in the afternoon, so we were two of four people dining. The reason I only give 4 stars to this spot is because it felt a little snobby. I'm not sure if this was due to only having a few people in there at the time or not. Besides that, I ordered the salad with mushrooms, blue cheese, apples, and an AMAZING vinaigrette. It came out PERFECTLY spiced with salt and pepper, and the plate was beautiful. My roommate got the salad with the beets, which he also enjoyed. His plate was so colorful and fun! They had a wine special going on with $5 house choices of a red and a white. I got the Chardonnay they were offering, and they give you a good amount for the money and pretty decent wine. It also came in a cute little carafe which, of course, makes everything better anyway. ;) The prices were what I would expect for my salad. The other entrees on the menu looked slightly pricey, but I can't judge on the rest of the food...yet. =) Go see this place!

Yelp
Eh. Not bad. I've been sitting here trying to come up with something more enchanting to say about this place, but in truth, it's a very average cafe, with very average service and a pretty good menu. 34th Street Cafe & Catering is one leg in the tripod of restaurants owned by Austinite Eddie Bernal. If asked to rank them, I maintain my affection for the nearby Santa Rita Tex-Mex Cantina, while also maintaining my disdain for Blue Star Cafeteria. 34th is maxed out on space during the lunch hour. Professionals crowd in to the small, split-level building, but despite (or maybe because of) the busy hour, the mood of the wait staff does not match the cheery, colorful decor of the dining room. Solid grub at a moderate price. Ham and swiss is good, but I'm still on my quest for the best. Parking is a major pain. Hint: At lunch, order at the counter and the food is delivered. At dinner, full wait staff. Also, I've never experienced this firsthand, but I hear they are commendable for catering. Worth a visit.

Cathy H.

Yelp
Where shall we go for dinner? Before the pandemic, that was such a fun thought! Sigh. And if it was after a long day of work, the answer was often 34th Street Cafe. :-) And it still is. Eddie Bernal and his team are still making the comfort food that just makes the day end perfectly. We have been picking it up curbside, and it is still as delicious as ever. Our favorite is the Chicken Piccata ... and because we love it so much, we rarely branch out. But when we do, we are never disappointed. And maybe more important than the many delicious meals we have enjoyed over the years, would be the many times that we have celebrated life in this inviting neighborhood dining room. We have celebrated weddings, showers, babies, promotions, graduations and just simple great days ... and even some crummy days, too. We feel so lucky that 34th Street Cafe and Eddie Bernal have been a part of our lives.

Yelp
I do like this place. Their food is fresh. The menu is interesting. The service is good. What I did not like...one time I went with a groupon....not a good idea. It was more crowded. The service suffered. And I really think the attitude of the server changed when they were informed about the Groupon. Without a groupon everything is spot on. Another thing I did not like was one time we were seated in dark corner. There was not enough light to read the menu much less see each other. The ambiance was much different in that space too - much colder. A candle might have helped. Overall I recommend this place. I would ask for another table not in a dark corner. The food is good!
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
34th Street Cafe offered a fun little outing for me and the bf. I bought a groupon earlier and it looked pretty cool. When we arrived I thought we were at the wrong place. Sorry... but from the website it looked like an upscale classy place, and from the outside it didn't. But it's all good! We walked in and it was clean and beautiful. We decided to order the bruschetta, hanger steak, and chicken piccata. The complimentary bread was yummy with the olive oil. The bruschetta is listed under snacks for a good reason- they give you three itty bitty pieces. Those little tastes were probably the best part of the night- they were heavenly. My taste buds squealed for more crunchy, cheesy bread. There was a herby bite from the peso and creaminess from the cheese. The tomato added a nice flavor and the olive oil made the end smooth and amazing. 34th Street Cafe knows how to tease you with their bruschetta- best bruschetta I've ever had! I'm not saying their hanger steak and chicken piccata were bad, but the start was music to my mouth. Anyway, the chicken piccata was pretty massive, and it was settled over some lovely sauteed spinach and rice. The sauce was a tad bitter with the capers (in a good way) and was nicely placed so I could smother the ever so crunchy and juicy chicken in it. The rice was moist and a yummy addition as well. It was a very very good dish, I liked it better than the hanger steak. I tried the steak and it was pretty good, it lacked flavor compared to the chicken piccata but it wasn't bad at all. Sadly I don't remember the waitress name, but we were very nicely taken care of. :) Oh and I almost forgot, we ended up parking in a lot diagonal to the restaurant, but they actually have parking in the back.

Yelp
Always a great meal! We love the oysters when they have them. Half price in bottle of wine sale periodically. Recommend the Chicken Picatta and stand back when the Coconut cake arrives at the table!

Not a fan. Came in with my daughter for lunch. Ordered the hack salad and a margarita pizza. I don't get all the great reviews for the hack salad. I suppose I thought hack meant chopped? It was sort of a spring mix salad greens with a bit a of cabbage. Mayonnaise type dressing and then covered in a sweet orange sauce. Way too sweet! The pizza crust was hard and crunchy although the toppings were good. The food overall is pretty marginal but the worst is the indifferent service. Not very friendly. I ordered a slice of cake and they forgot to bring it. Walked by my empty tea glass several time while refilling others. And would it kill you to crack a smile now and then? Maybe ask if we needed anything? I will say the coconut cake was very good. Gorgeous tall slice with fluffy frosting. Nice and moist with cream filling. Yum! Walked out and my daughter commented "Not my favorite".

Yelp
I had the worst experience ever. I have eaten and utilized 34th street cafe often over the last three years and even twice in the last two weeks via the CHOW NOW website. I arrived to pick up my order and was informed that one of the sandwiches that I ordered was not available. I was not notified until I arrived for pick up. They said they did not have my phone number... Then they told me that I had not paid for my order. I told them I had ordered and paid online. I told them I could not take my order without someones lunch. (Even though I had paid for it.) I had to leave and asked if he could deliver to the hospital. He called me 5 minutes later then that he was at my place of work and had substituted a sandwich. I told him, I did not want any of it and asked that he give the food to the homeless. Later I called back and got all these lies about how I had called in the order... Here it the order. Order Receipt Thanks for your order, __________ ___________. Your order has been submitted to 34th Street Cafe. You'll receive a second email letting you know when it will be ready for pickup. Earlier int he week, I had ordered using chow now and they called me to tell me that I needed to substitute. These guys on the weekends don't know how to use the systems. I plan to call the owner. I will miss the food as it is delicious. I hope they really did take it to the homeless shelter.

Yelp
My entire review is based on goat cheese and the EPIC coconut cake. The venison pizza with it's cracker like crust was good but the goat cheese is what made it great. Then I opened my to-go box with the cake & one bite and I'm IN LOVE. First time here & I will definitely be back! The staff were FAB too!!

Yelp
I have never been treated worse at any restaurant. I eat out 4-5 times a week. I stopped by for a glass of wine. Had a nice cab then decided to have dinner there also. Ordered lamb chops with butternut squash and asparagus. Looked great. Taste good. One of my two double chops was under cooked. I spoke to the waiter who took the chop on a separate plate to be addressed. While I waited I did not eat any of food on my plate as I was taking a call. The chef came out with the lamb chop cut open. He starts yelling at me that the chop was perfect. I signaled I was on the phone. After ending my call the waiter came over and apologized. Said he would remove the meal from my tab. As the waiter is removing my meal the chef starts yelling from the kitchen not to remove my meal from the tab. I get up and ask the chef to come talk to me. He come out of the kitchen yelling at me again. I paid for my wine in cash and tipped my waiter. I hope the owners will address the chef's unacceptable behaviors towards me and the staff. It was the worst I have ever been treated at any restaurant.
