Yelp
The owner was vey helpful and pleasant. I was sitting next to a couple who has asked for a coke, although they only had Pepsi available. The owner went across the street, bought a coke, and gave it to the customer. He went outbid his way to please the customer, which I thought was remarkable and very cool to see. Great place

Yelp
Mustang Harry's is the perfect spot to hit up before a Knicks game at MSG. It's an easy walk to the arena, making it super convenient. The food was good - a bit pricey, but that's to be expected in Midtown, and it's still half the price of what you'd pay for food and drinks inside MSG. It's a smart decision not have a happy hour here because $ is basically guaranteed before any MSG event...but quality of food sure goes down with the amount of customers...Great atmosphere and a solid choice for pre-game eats.

Yelp
Went there to watch the Yankee game and have a few drinks. Cool place, nice vibe. Great place to watch sports, lots of screens. Service was generally good. Only bad point was the bill. We ran a tab, they got it a bit wrong and charged us for too many drinks and too few beers, which overcharged us a bit. The place was mobbed, so we just paid and left. They also charge 3.25% for using a credit card, so you should bring cash.

Yelp
On December 5th, 2024, I enjoyed a delightful lunch at Mustang Harry's with a dear friend who visited from Washington, D.C. We celebrated with a girls' day out, attending the Sherri Show and having a lovely brunch afterward. The service was exceptional, particularly from our greeter, Carlos, who provided wonderful recommendations. I ordered their signature Mustang wings, and my friend had the Mustang burger with fries. We enjoyed a pleasant meal and conversation. I paid the bill, and my friend left a cash tip. However, on December 7th, 2024, at 5:58 AM, I received notifications indicating an unauthorized $5.00 tip had been added to my Cashapp card, resulting in a negative balance. I typically only load funds onto this card as needed for immediate withdrawals. I am quite perplexed and disappointed by this unexpected and unwelcome addition to my bill, especially given the otherwise wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was festive. I am very disappointed.

Yelp
One of the most popular bars folks come to hang out to watch or after sports game. Quite loud as it gets really crowded too... came here after NYR hockey game.. and the crowds go wild after the NYR win!!! Bar in front was packed along with seating... Lucky to get a table in the back for a quick drink with a group of friends before heading home. It was quite busy with all the customers and dark inside... Will have to come back to try the food...

Yelp
I mean it's a sports bar, not much more to say. We came here to watch the Knicks playoff game against Philly. The atmosphere was electric as everyone, including us, were fully invested in the game. Bartenders were attentive to us sitting at the bar. We ordered plenty of beers throughout the night and I closed out with an Irish coffee, their signature drink. We were also already pretty full from dinner so we didn't order anything to eat.

P T.

Yelp
Stopped in to watch MNF and enjoyed some great appetizers, lamb & calamari, adult beverages, and fantastic service from the waiters!

Lori G.

Yelp
A solid 4.5 plus... Buffalo wings and calimari were great. Irish coffee good but pricy. Wine really nice. Would definitely return. Service was good and solid.

Yelp
Sipping a rosé with friends at a bar was such fun especially since it had been a very long time since I had stepped into one. Mustang Harry's was filled with people eating and drinking on a warm Sunday afternoon. Kanta had a glass of Prosecco and Shobha had a Cabernet. We nibbled on French fries served in a parchment-lined fluted cone. Two large television sets were playing sports and the music was thoroughly uplifting. Restrooms were on one side and clean which is quite surprising for a bar. The menu for eats was extensive and Shobha took a steak for her husband I enjoyed myself that I plan on going to another bar soon.

Yelp
My friend and I visited Mustang Harry's for a late Saturday night dinner. Despite the restaurant looking full due to the front sports bar portion, we were able to be seated immediately without any wait. We had to wait quite a while for the waiter to come to take our orders, bring out our food, and also the check. My friend ordered the Mustang Burger and I had the cauliflower parmesan. Overall, our meal was pretty average, but I admit that as a non-vegetarian, the cauliflower parm was better than I expected! If you're looking for a restaurant to grab dinner at near Penn Station, Mustang Harry's is an option, but don't have your expectations too high for your food, service, or experience.

Raj S.

Yelp
Nice location and it's very close to Penn station . Went for a quick drink and I liked the place . Atmosphere inside was very good . Their bar was huge and lots of seats available . Even with so much crowd , the service was excellent. Someone quickly took order and was able to give us the order in less than 5 mins . Restroom facilities are good . Could t eat much food this time but I heard the food was good . Liked it overall

Faidon K.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to take our lunch break so we ended up here. As you enter there is a long full bar on your right side. I was impressed of all the different brands that this place carries. The vibe is cool and energetic. We sat all the way to the back and we ordered three of the Harry's burger and a chicken burger. I couldn't wait to try their signature burger (Harry's). The portion was great, blue cheese was a little overpowering, the burger tasted good but I think there a lot of different flavors mixed up in there. It came with fries. I paired it with beer like everyone else. The service was really good and our waiter and the busser were on top for their game. Good job guys

Yelp
This spot rocks. For a bar, they have great food. TVs playing sports in every direction. Very good service. A perfect spot to go before msg. I went on January 6th, 6 days into my dry January, and unfortunately had a bunch of beers. I also went before the bull riding thing at msg so I was wearing this dope cowboy hat I had bought earlier in the day

Nick M.

Yelp
Food is always on point. Staff is friendly. Drinks are well made. For NYC the prices are fair. Great venue for football Sundays.

Yelp
Everything was fine until it wasn't. We came in out of the rain after the Nebraska/Boston College game to grab some food and drinks and watch the Broncos game. On line it said this was a Broncos bar, so we got a table located near the door and soon realized it wasn't really a Broncos bar, but rather a Ravens Bar. Nonetheless we had ordered our drinks and requested our server to see if they could turn on the Bronco game on a small TV in the corner, which after about 15 minutes they did. Not a problem, because they were somewhat busy. We ordered food and more drinks. My wife and daughter-in -law was drinking their favorite cocktails, as my son and myself were drinking Diet Coke. This is when things start going downhill. We ordered food and it took forever for it to come out, the server completely disappeared from our table and was nowhere to be found. Drinks were now ordered at the bar. Our food finally arrived as the Bronco game was winding down and just as the game was getting exciting a table next to us asks the server to turn the TV to the Knicks game, without hesitation she runs to the bartender and the TV is switched in 2 minutes. We immediately asked for our check, as I wasn't going to spend another dime in this place. Once our check arrived, and looking at the charges they charged us for every Diet Coke that my son and I drank. Keep in mind, when the server did show up at the table, she brought us fresh Diet Cokes along with the ladies drinks. Not once did the server mention they charged for each soda, but to bring them and then charge us was a bit cheeky. I do not recommend this place at all. If you do go, watch out for how they charge. You may get charged for sitting on a bar stool. Thankfully the rest of our trip to NYC was fantastic. Not our first time in NYC but it was my first and last time at Mustang Harry's!

Yelp
Before heading to a concert at Madison Square Garden, I stopped by this bar with my girlfriend to grab some food and drinks. We arrived around 530pm on a Friday night and were able to get a seat with no problem. Upon entering, we knew this was going to be a great spot, as they were playing awesome music. We started out ordering some beers. We tried 2 different IPA ones. Both were delicious. Then, for our meals, I went with Harry's Burger with Fries, and my girlfriend got the loaded nachos with steak. Both of these meals were excellent. I loved my burger. It was cooked perfectly and so juicy and flavorful. It had a nice mix or toppings on it, and each bite just melted in your mouth. The nachos with steak pieces were amazing, too. The steak was so tender. The nachos pieces had a great mix of cheeses and toppings, too. Everything we tasted we enjoyed so much. This was an awesome spot to hang out at. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We have been searching for a great steak sandwich and stumbled upon this restaurant. We arrived around 1 in the afternoon, and the restaurant was pretty busy. We ordered the Crispy Calamari, Grilled Ribeye Sandwich, and Harry's Burger. The Grilled Ribeye Sandwich and Harry's Burger came with a side of fries, and we got the sandwich and burger done medium. The Crispy Calamari sauce was great but less crispy than we expected. The Grilled Ribeye Sandwich was a tad overcooked, and the bread was not as hard as we thought. However, the accompanying toppings were an excellent fit. Harry's Burger was great; however, it wasn't mind-blowing. Both orders of fries were delicious and crispy. Also, the staff was very attentive and friendly. Overall, we thought it was a good experience, but for the price, it didn't seem like a casual place to eat.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
A group of 10 arranged for a quick happy hour to celebrate the holidays. Service at the bar was fantastic. Tough to find a better bourbon collection, eagle rare, Blantons, michters, EH Taylor etc. A few appetizers were served, plates looked great but I did not eat. I will be adding Mustang Harry's to my MSG pregaming.

Sigal M.

Yelp
Great service and ambiance! Good is a bit salty for my taste, but otherwise delicious!

Tisha C.

Yelp
I really like the venue I wish they would have a back yard to dine but the service was so attentive and helpful I did like the sticky wings and the music was great to jam to while eating. It is a nice place to take pictures and enjoy a good drink watching a good game....it's a great environment to be in and chill out with someone or a group to have good laughs with

Paul K.

Yelp
Had some time for a meal before catching a train out of Penn. Service was good. Food was very good. Great onion soup and shepherds pie. Fries were also good and hot.

Cameron B.

Yelp
Me and my friends came here after dinner last week and had a great time. We had a few drinks and played Jenga for a couple hours to end the night. Nice vibe with good music.

Phan H.

Yelp
The location is prime. The bar is super large and spacious. The service is fast and friendly. I came here for a date and sat near the entrance. Whenever our drinks were near empty, our waitress was on top getting us the next round so we're never left waiting or wanting. I came on a lazy weekend afternoon so it wasn't too busy. I don't think any sports games were happening until later in the day, so we came at a good time. I can imagine this place gets pretty rowdy and packed on game days. My date and I lived around the area so it was also a good meeting point. We ended up eating elsewhere, but I would the food menu and also a game day to see how both are. Overall, a good experience and would recommend.

Kenny M.

Yelp
The food was very good and the the atmosphere was really cool Went there before a WWE event probably from now on whenever I go to MSG event I will go there. Excellent place to go specially with the kids.

Berk O.

Yelp
Great nachos, excellent selection of beer. Service was very friendly and very quick. Music selection was alright buut it wasn't too loud, so we could have conversation.

Allison C.

Yelp
We made a reservation at Mustang Harry's for a quick dinner prior to our concert at MSG. We were so happy with how quick the service was - we had no issues getting in and out in about an hour or less! The food was good- my fiancé enjoyed his lettuce wraps, my dad liked his corned beef sandwich, and my mom liked her steak sandwich too. I had the Mac and cheese appetizer for my meal, which wasn't bad but was definitely average. The best thing we had were the garlic parm fries for an appetizer, and even the fries that came on the side with my parents' sandwiches were salted perfectly. I would consider coming back here again before an event I go to at MSG.

Lindsey A.

Yelp
My friend and I had dinner here before seeing a concert at MSG. We came hungry and ordered multiple appetizers and split an entree. We got chicken nachos, boneless wings, disco fries, and a pretzel for the appetizers and the chicken sandwich to share. All of the appetizers were great but my favorite had to be the disco fries - a Jersey girl has to have her fries smothered in a hearty, savory gravy and they didn't play around! The nachos and wings were average and I would recommend skipping the pretzel altogether - the cheese was a big disappointment. Fried chicken sandwich was a great size to split after eating all those apps had a delicious chipotle aioli! It happened to be a Harry Styles concert we were going to see that night and the restaurant was packed with many fans also heading to the same show. This restaurant knew their audience - they played Harry Styles and One Direction songs during the duration of our visit! That made it all the more fun. Our waitress was very friendly and even had a nice chat with us about the concert. This is a great pub to dine at before seeing a show or game at the Garden and I will consider it again in the future.

Vanessa R.

Yelp
Love this place near MSG! Creative menu options and classic delicious pub staples. Staff were super attentive and genuinely nice! We were so impressed with the high level of service and food. Highly recommend visiting before or after a MSG show, televised sports game (lots of tvs) or just a nice meal and drinks with friends.

Alana K.

Yelp
Your typical overpriced Midtown bar. I came here with my coworkers for drinks because we were in the area. Thankfully, we were able to get a table at 6:30 p.m. on a Thursday. I had a glass of Cabernet. For $14, I didn't really feel like having a second round. Nice servers and classic sports bar energy, but not worth it in terms of the price.

Marie G.

Yelp
I love Mustang Harry's! It's my go-to place whenever I go to a show at MSG. The only redeemable place for after show eats and drinks in the area. It's open until 1 AM and serves food late. Depending on the night and the show that's happening will determine the crowd at Harry's. I've been there a few times and I can say that the "bro" guys are highly attracted to this place. Sucks because when they are there, the whole vibe is off. I had a few drunken bros stand rightnextto me at the table I was eating at. We told the waitress to tell them to move. No matter what we did, they never moved. Wanted to choke them. If you get seated in the back, it's much better. Nice and dark and roomy. Service is always a hit or a miss. Granted, I've always come at crazy times so maybe that's why. They're usually playing some awesome 80s rock. As well as plenty of sports on the televisions. Drinks are always spot on. When I came here after Duran Duran they even had a special cocktail menu with drinks crafted and named after Duran Duran songs! So cute. I've had the Disco Fries Jersey Style a few times. It hits the spot with fresh mozzarella and short rib gravy. My favorite so far has been the sliders. You can either get a half sleeve that comes with 4 or a full sleeve of 8. They are so incredibly delicious. American cheese(which I normally dislike), house made pickle, slaw and mustang sauce. I don't know what that Mustang sauce is made out of but it's perfect! When I was here a few weeks ago I had the Turkey Wrap. Came with fries in a cute basket. The wrap had that yummy Mustang sauce on it with Swiss, Applewood bacon, arugula and slaw on a whole wheat wrap. So good! Bathrooms weren't the best, but it served it's purpose. I always leave satisfied after a visit here. Prices aren't that bad, either. I'll be back at MSG in about 2 weeks so I'm looking forward to my visit then!

Cat P.

Yelp
It's embarrassing, on my part, to ask the Waitress when did this establishment convert from Jack Doyle's? She didn't know, but that's fine! Despite multiple events going on, we were surprisingly seated under 10 minutes upstairs. We were able to see the whole tavern. Service was with a smile, rather fast, and portions were typical that if NYC. Mustang Jacks is a perfect place to go when waiting for MSG doors to open. Cheers!

Harold H.

Yelp
Mustang Harry's looked like a typical small city bar and we went in looking for an evening snack and were surprised by what appeared to be a limited but higher end menu. The bar was attractive in rich dark woods and busy. Service was quick and attentive. The roasted chicken breast and vegetables that I had was the unexpected best dinners that I had while visiting NYC.

Steve P.

Yelp
Went with some friends to watch the Rangers game. Pretty damn good food. Bar food is usually pretty standard and has a frozen feel to it. Not this place. It was fresh and hot and well made. Keep up the good work.

John R.

Yelp
Overall, a great experience. I was here with a group that had its own corner of the upstairs area and, from what I understand, this is a regular happening whenever there is an event at the garden that they are associated with. So... the comments about wait staff and management in other reviews might be somewhat mitigated as we had zero problems on that front. The food was better than expected. I went for my weak spot for places like this -- FISH AND CHIPS, Day boat Atlantic cod. It was excellently prepared, and I would say my only complaint was the portion size was surprisingly smaller than expected. (This was out of proportion to some of the other dishes I saw floating around like the burgers) They seemed to have a decent beer menu, though I am doubtful how much it rotates. Hint: If you want to see almost everyone in red, white, and blue Rangers jerseys, come here just before a game at MSG.

Ciera T.

Yelp
This place was very cool! As soon as you walk it it smells so good! Once we sat down though they dimmed the lights a little too extremely I think. I could barely see my food. I'm usually not picky about places being dark but this place was oddly dark. We got our food rather quickly but it took an oddly long time to get the check. It probably took us 25 minutes from the time our plates were cleared to us seeing our waiter again and asking for the check. But the food was great' I had a spicy chicken sandwich and it tastes very fresh and was very good! I would recommend this place especially before a rangers game and everyone was wearing rangers shirts or jerseys!

Joan B.

Yelp
Great spot near MSG and Penn Station. We arrived in NYC hungry and tired and needed something decent and not fancy. This hit the mark. We were a party of 6 with luggage...very accommodating. Burgers were delicious looking on nice brioche buns. Offered grilled chicken sandwiches instead of fried and the fish and chips came with a bottle of malt vinegar without asking. Must be because the owner is Irish. Also offered an extensive beer list. Definitely "bookmarked" this place in my yelp app.

Danilda S.

Yelp
Mustang Harry is bigger than it seems from the outside, two floors. I was with a large group and stayed at the bar. They have as it's expected a large variety of draft beer, their Angry Orchard on tap is delicious. The large bar is awesome for big groups. They have plenty of bar attenders so Service was on point I didn't make it to the 2nd floor so I can't say anything about it. The burgers are definitely a must try and I'm going back as soon as I get a chance.

Shannon S.

Yelp
We went here without a reservation before a Rangers game. There was only 2 of us so they were able to sneak us in quickly. Definitely recommend a reservation for next time. The Hanger Steak was moist and well cooked. And the Roast Turkey Dip sandwich was great! Our waitress although clearly super busy was very friendly and attentive. We ate out on the patio but the inside looked like a good time!

Richard S.

Yelp
I went here because i was in town visiting and went to see a game at the garden. The place is very close to MSG. I ordered the potato soup, which was served hot but it was almost liquid and have no real potato flavor. My entree came before the soup could even cool down. I also ordered the Turkey french dip and for 22 dollars, I thought it would be fresh Turkey, but I was sadly mistaken. The meat is processed Turkey and for the money I expect much better. The staff seems uninterested to be there and getting your drink refilled you will have to settle for an eye roll once you get their attention. the staff must of got lost, because she came back without my drink and I then she finally returned with it. The bar looked nice but I wasn't impressed at all. I don't yelp every bad experience, but this one needs to go on Yelp.

M J.

Yelp
Place is pretty bad. Prices are super high, selection isn't great, staff are soooo slow. Bars in this area have a low bar but this didn't even meet that. Space is nice, I guess that is a redeeming quality.

Marci A.

Yelp
Came here after a concert and we were able to sit and get served right away. I ordered Buffalo wings hard fried and they weren't the best but my boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich and that was absolutely amazing! If you come here, skip the wings and get the sandwich!

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Food, delicious. Try the shepherd pie, plenty enough for two. The ambience, so fun. The service, awesome.

Allie C.

Yelp
I love Mustang Harry's . It's our go to place whenever we are near Madison Square garden or Penn Station. The atmosphere is like the old time cheers ( the TV show lol) . Everyone who works there is amazing. The bartenders are well trained and make the best drinks. They have every drink and can make great virgin drinks too. The food is also top rate. The menu has recently included more gluten free and vegetarian options! The Blackbean burger was spicy and delicious. The Hummus platter was very satisfying and included olives and pita bread. It did not come from jars! The food is truly gourmet in an upscale pub ! They always play music that reflects the concerts at Madison Square garden and it's also a true sports bar! On these days the Mustang can get a little crowded, but the staff Will always try to find you a seat. They do take reservations! Once you go to Mustsng Harry's, you and your friends will become regulars real easily!

Michael G.

Yelp
Before coming to the Foo Fighters concert on 6/20/21 that reopened Madison Square Garden to full capacity (for those showing proof of vaccination), my brother-in-law and I got into Penn Station early enough to be able to have some dinner beforehand. We chose coming to Mustang Harry's. We did have a reservation, but the place is so huge that tonight we probably didn't need it. We were quickly seated, and our friendly server mentioned the special menu and the Q code to scan for the regular menu. I had a spicy jalapeño margarita to start, and man I should have asked for salt. However, it hit the spot. We split some Harry's loaded nachos and upgraded them with chicken. Lots of beans, tomatoes, jalapeños, cheese, and not enough chicken. Still quite tasty. For our entree, I had a spicy southern fried chicken sandwich. This was a huge piece of chicken nicely fried up with some bangin' pickles and a sauce which made the sandwich a bit sloppy. The brioche roll was toasted. It came with a small set of shoestring French fries which were crunchy and well done. It was not worth the $19 New York price, but it was one of the better fried chicken sandwiches I've had. I also had a second cocktail of an Office Rum. I'm not sure why the name Office is in it, but I liked the fruity drink. My brother-in-law had the on-menu burger sliders in a "half-rack" portion which was four. He liked them a lot. Mini burgers with cheese. He also had the beer can special of Pabst Blue Ribbon @ $4 each. All staff were masked up, and quick to assist us but a little on the slow side to get our drinks and food. This might have been because they were slightly short-staffed and having a packed MSG was not expected. The restaurant is not even a block away. $111 not including tip for two mixed drinks, three beer specials, appetizer nachos with $6 chicken upgrade, half rack of sliders, and a fried chicken sandwich. Welcome to NY!

Jen N.

Yelp
Love this place for drinks and appetizers. I've never sat for an actual entree. I'm usually just passing through. The Moscow Mule enjoyed on this night is your basic Mule complete with a candied piece of spicy ginger. Quite delicious. Nothing bad to say. Usually crowded before an event at the Garden but empties out prior to start time. An enjoyable place for drinks after a long day of work.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Not a true Sports Bar. Only showing one damn game on all 20 tv's. Ask them to change two tv's out of 20. It took them 45 minutes to lie, stall, and make excuses to change them. Asked to speak to a manager, none was available (no wonder they were bullshitting customers! Won't be back.....and prices were high as hell. Byeeeee

Olivia S.

Yelp
As someone who frequents this bar often prior to MSG events, I've always had great food and great drinks. HOWEVER, came here for a company event upstairs and encountered one of the rudest staff members in history. First off, it is illegal to deny patrons tap water (let's not forget the laziness around the lack of ice but beggars can't be choosers). After asking 5 times for water over the course of 2 hours we were told we can get some after she's done serving drinks. Tf? Second, as a prior bartender my boss would have slapped that nasty face and attitude off me instantly. You are getting automatic gratuity because of the large party. Acknowledge paying customers and act normal. All in all- fire that server NOW or im sure more reviews like this will pop up.

Nicolette A.

Yelp
Every-time we go to Madison square garden we make sure to stop here! The atmosphere is amazing!! I'm gluten free and dairy free and our server was so accommodating to my needs and restrictions! I got the lettuce wraps and he made sure the aioli was dairy free. The food is always delicious and that's what keeps us coming back time after time!

Jim G.

Yelp
In the heart of all the action just steps away from the iconic Madison Square Garden. A very large space that allows you to have good conversations and enjoy a nice menu and well prepared drinks. During my visit there appeared to be a good number of tourists from Ireland. Large screen monitors were showing the latest football games- Man City had just crushed Leeds 4-nil. Friendly staff and quick service seems to be the norm. Enjoyed walking up 7th Avenue to get to Harry's did not enjoy the walk up 8th Avenue.
