36 Streets - Review - London - The Infatuation

"The weather is a huge part of what drives our cravings, which might explain why this nation gets through so many cups of tea. But when the rain decides to grace us with its presence for the fifth time in a week, we come here. This Vietnamese restaurant on Market Place is serving everything from banh mi and pho, to Vietnamese hot pots and bubble tea. The pho is great, and the pho xao are some of the best stir-fried thick rice noodles we’ve tried, but the reason we come, and keep coming, is for the king prawn curry. It’s creamy, slightly sweet thanks to the coconut, and the prawns are meaty and tender. And it’s up there with chocolate cake as the ultimate comfort food. Or, you can head down to Japanese spot Taberu for a hug in the form of their prawn katsu curry. Or if you’re driving, go further down to New Malden High Street for Nori’s pumpkin croquette curry don. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

3.5⭐ really. Hit and miss on the menu, if you like it spicy ask for more spice. A nice location, has both indoor and outdoor (limited) seating, not far from the river. Inside is well decorated. 1 unisex toilet with baby changing. Both of the Thai drinks we tried were amazing, definitely give them a go. The Singapore noodles were very bland and not really spicy at all. Very disappointing (thought that was hard to mess up). The (cold) chicken noodles were good though, great flavor from the chicken and veg, good mix of textures. Unfortunately the waiter got our food order wrong (although this quickly rectified). note that a service charge for 12% is auto added to the bill.

The cuisine was outstanding, and the service was remarkably efficient. I was thoroughly impressed with all the dishes I sampled. The ambiance was quite pleasant, and it appeared that everyone was relishing the food and having an enjoyable experience.

The food here is delicious and authentic. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s one of my go to places to have dinner, out. I highly recommend the Stir Fried Glass noodles dish with beef as well as any Pho. The portions are also a great size and the staff is always kind, friendly and quick.

Relaxed Vietnamese bistro with good variety of healthy options. We found the starters to outperform the mains, especially the summer rolls , fried prawns and chicken wings.

If I’m honest, I get there been a refurbishment. But you don’t have to cut back on the noodles and meat. Not impressed at all.

An absolutely fantastic meal. A small tucked away busy restaurant. Two of us turned up and waited about 5 minutes until they found us a table. We ordered a pork and noodle dish and a prawn tamarind dish. Both were amazing. The pork was sweet and tender with tasty noodles and vegetables. As a bonus the dish came with a spring roll, nice. The tamarind prawns were something special. Fresh flavours and wonderful prawns, the highlight was how the flavours grew. There was no real heat initially but after a few mouthfuls there was a delicious heat in the mouth. Massively enjoyable. Drinks were great Saigon beer really nice and lime and mint drink was spot on. Highly recommended.

Would say this is more like a 4.5/5 place, but cant really do half stars on this. It's a nice little Vietnamese place with a simple but effective interior (love the little paper lanterns) Food was very good- ranged about £12 for Pad Thai and £15-17 for the curry They're not the best when it comes to drinks. I had the lemonade with Vanilla and it was okay, but I've had a lot better in other places My girlfriend had the Salmon and I got to eat the leftovers. Was very tasty salmon would recommend it over my chicken curry.

Four of us ate here tonight. We had Iced Ginger and Lime drinks. They were fresh and zingy with freshly grated ginger. Delicious. We had Veg Summer rolls to start. We had 4 different Mains and we enjoyed all of them. Very generous portions. All our food was fresh, fragrant and totally delicious. It was great value for money. £90 for 4 of us.
