This building has gone completely downhill. None of the amenities are maintained — the gym and playroom are filthy and rarely cleaned. The rooftop looks like a baron wasteland!
What they don’t tell you when you move in is that the building is phasing out of its 421-a tax abatement. This means there’s an ever-increasing tax surcharge added to your rent every year. It started around 2.2% and will rise all the way up to 17.6%! This is in addition to the Rent Guidelines Board annual increase. That’s a huge additional cost that makes it nearly impossible for tenants to stay here long term.
Between the lack of maintenance, rising costs, and complete transparency failure, I’d strongly recommend avoiding this building. What was once a promising place to live has turned into a nightmare.
