30 Best Things to Do in Madrid

360° Rooftop Bar Review - Madrid - The Infatuation

"Madrid’s rooftop bar scene has exploded in recent years, with no shortage of options for those looking for drinks and a view. But the 360° Sky Bar on the 26th floor of the Riu Plaza España on Calle Gran Vía has some of the most impressive panoramas of Madrid. What differentiates this rooftop bar from the rest is not only its massive size, but its skywalk: a glass-bottomed bridge and walkway that you’ll definitely want to avoid if going up an escalator makes you nervous. You’ll probably have to wait in line and pay a small fee to get in (€5-10), but enjoying the colorful sunset reflecting on the city’s reddish rooftops over a cocktail or some vino is a Madrid must. Just know that most of the food is forgettable at best, so stick to drinks." - Lori Zaino

Top of Riu Plaza Enter with a hotel guest to skip lines and get priority seating. Cocktail bar downstairs if it’s raining or too windy.

The food and drinks at 360° Rooftop Bar were better than expected, considering the main attraction is the view. There's a 20€ fee to "skip the line" evenings and weekends. This buys you access to the amazing view. If you want to eat or drink, you need to wait for a table to be available before you can be served. That may seem intuitive. However, if your plan is to just go up and enjoy the view and maybe have a drink as you walk around, that is not how it works. Know this in advance and plan accordingly. I believe that with the right expectations of the experience, you will have a wonderful time and find it worth your time and effort.

Pretty good price point to go up to the top of the tower and enjoy the observation deck at 5€pp during the day and 10€. Once you have gotten to the top deck visitors are free to enjoy the 360 degree views of the entire city and there are a range of places to sit and enjoy the view. Prices for drinks and snacks are a little more expensive than say at a bar or cafe down on the street but considering many observation decks in other parts of Europe/ the world START at 20-25€ for admission alone, this is a pretty good deal. The queue for the glass deck during peak times can be over an hour, but we did go up one evening and there were only ever a few people in the line. Thus we got to experiment with a few different angles for photos, even taking some photos down to the glass platform from the floor above.

Highly recommend visiting, entry is EUR 5, and it is worth. The view is absolutely breathtaking, as you can see from the posted pictures. The best time to go is after lunch and before the crowd starts around 16:00. However, avoid eating there. The nachos, patatas bravas, and olives were disappointing. It's unclear how such basic dishes can taste this bad.

We had an amazing time at RIU 360º Rooftop Bar! The view is absolutely breathtaking — easily one of the best, if not the best, in Madrid. You really get a sense of how vast and beautiful the city is from up there. The bar itself is stylish and lively, with a great DJ and an atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying drinks with friends. Service was solid — not overly warm from the waitstaff, but understandable given the crowd and how busy the place gets. Still, a big shoutout to the blonde hostess who handled everything like a pro. We had a few special requests about moving and joining tables, and she took care of it quickly and efficiently, even with all the chaos around. You can tell she’s the one keeping everything running smoothly. Great drinks, amazing vibe, unforgettable view — we’ll definitely be coming back!

The place offers an incredible 360-degree panoramic view. The atmosphere is great and definitely worth the visit. The service was at a good level – polite and relatively quick. I recommend the place mainly for the view and the pleasant setting – perfect for photos and spending time with friends.

An unforgettable experience with breathtaking views! Visiting the rooftop in Madrid was an absolute highlight of our trip! We went on our last day, just before our flight, and it was the perfect way to end our journey. • The views were spectacular, offering a stunning panoramic sight of the entire city. • The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy, making the experience even more exciting. • The design and ambiance of the place were truly beautiful and well-thought-out. • It was a bit crowded, but that’s expected for such a great spot! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Madrid—it’s a must-see! 🙏🏻✨

Beautiful overview of Madrid, we arrived at 3’o clock and enjoyed a lovely bottle of sangria (Lolea). €10 entrance fee per person, drinks/food are somewhat expensive compared to other places. Worth it for the view! When we left there was a reasonable queue downstairs to go up, so don’t come to late!

The rooftop offers an ok view of Madrid and is worth a quick visit if you’re nearby. That said, it’s not particularly memorable beyond the view. It’s the kind of spot where you take a few photos, enjoy the skyline, and then move on—no need to linger for a drink unless you’re set on the experience. Cost to go to the rooftop is 10 euros a person
