30 Best Things to Do in Madrid

"A well-known rooftop bar loved for its sweeping views. It's a stylish spot to end the day in Madrid." - Travel + Leisure Editors

360° Rooftop Bar Review - Madrid - The Infatuation

"Madrid’s rooftop bar scene has exploded in recent years, with no shortage of options for those looking for drinks and a view. But the 360° Sky Bar on the 26th floor of the Riu Plaza España on Calle Gran Vía has some of the most impressive panoramas of Madrid. What differentiates this rooftop bar from the rest is not only its massive size, but its skywalk: a glass-bottomed bridge and walkway that you’ll definitely want to avoid if going up an escalator makes you nervous. You’ll probably have to wait in line and pay a small fee to get in (€5-10), but enjoying the colorful sunset reflecting on the city’s reddish rooftops over a cocktail or some vino is a Madrid must. Just know that most of the food is forgettable at best, so stick to drinks." - Lori Zaino

Top of Riu Plaza Enter with a hotel guest to skip lines and get priority seating. Cocktail bar downstairs if it’s raining or too windy.

Since I came here after dinner - what a a phenomenal place. The place is amazing - what a wonderful view. And what even better is the quality of service. The rate to just enter and see the view is reasonable. What even makes it better is you don’t want to leave after. And the proactive staff- Excellent behaviour and very gracious. Very proactive and cheerful. All round world class experience. Shout to the 2 people at the counter- didn’t get there names but got there photos. Management- I am recommending a raise for these 2 ladies.

The best place to enjoy the best views in Madrid. Even though it seems like a long wait in reality if you want to have a drink, you will be seated very quickly. There is a queue downstairs but it moves fast. If you don’t want to have a drink and just pay the ticket for the view then it is a long wait, as they don’t allow many people at the same time. For us who wanted to have a drink it was great because we had the chance to enjoy the view and our drinks. You have to pay a ticket to enter, but the prices of the drinks are extremely reasonable. I could also say cheap.

The 360 Rooftop Bar is one of those Madrid spots you visit more for the view than the vibe. Entry is €10 and the ticket line moved quickly, but once inside you have to decide if you want food or drinks – if you do, be ready for a long wait to be seated. I skipped that and went straight up to enjoy the view, which was beautiful, especially at sunset. There’s a small see-through floor section that only fits a couple of people at a time, so expect to wait if you want that photo. The music and general atmosphere leaned pop-techno-preppy, which isn’t really my scene, but if that’s your style (and you’ve got the patience), it could be worth it. Not for me though.

I really liked the atmosphere — very pleasant and relaxing. The entry fee was €20 per person. The cocktails weren’t the best, but the overall experience was enjoyable thanks to the nice ambiance and friendly service.

Pretty good price point to go up to the top of the tower and enjoy the observation deck at 5€pp during the day and 10€. Once you have gotten to the top deck visitors are free to enjoy the 360 degree views of the entire city and there are a range of places to sit and enjoy the view. Prices for drinks and snacks are a little more expensive than say at a bar or cafe down on the street but considering many observation decks in other parts of Europe/ the world START at 20-25€ for admission alone, this is a pretty good deal. The queue for the glass deck during peak times can be over an hour, but we did go up one evening and there were only ever a few people in the line. Thus we got to experiment with a few different angles for photos, even taking some photos down to the glass platform from the floor above.

Great views with a see through glass walkway. You do have to pay about 5 euros/person to get up top, but definitely worth it if in the area. Drinks and food were good, service was just OK, which was common throughout our stay in Madrid. Picalogartos is better, but this rooftop is still a great choice !

Highly recommend visiting, entry is EUR 5, and it is worth. The view is absolutely breathtaking, as you can see from the posted pictures. The best time to go is after lunch and before the crowd starts around 16:00. However, avoid eating there. The nachos, patatas bravas, and olives were disappointing. It's unclear how such basic dishes can taste this bad.

We had an amazing time at RIU 360º Rooftop Bar! The view is absolutely breathtaking — easily one of the best, if not the best, in Madrid. You really get a sense of how vast and beautiful the city is from up there. The bar itself is stylish and lively, with a great DJ and an atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying drinks with friends. Service was solid — not overly warm from the waitstaff, but understandable given the crowd and how busy the place gets. Still, a big shoutout to the blonde hostess who handled everything like a pro. We had a few special requests about moving and joining tables, and she took care of it quickly and efficiently, even with all the chaos around. You can tell she’s the one keeping everything running smoothly. Great drinks, amazing vibe, unforgettable view — we’ll definitely be coming back!
