Very nice restaurant! I went here with my mom and my brother and had a delicious dinner. It was all you can eat and the lady there was VERY kind. She cooked everything herself. The lemonade is a must have and although I don't even like ANYTHING coconut her coconut cake was DELICIOUS. It's the only coconut thing Id eat. It felt very at home and dinner style as well. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Burek and cookies were absolutely delicious! Every time I visit, I can't resist buying a variety of foods to enjoy. Thank you, Mara, for consistently providing such amazing and flavourful dishes!

This place is sooo delicious. The menu is simple — that’s how you know the food is fresh and they are really specializing in what they make. A friend and I stopped in over the weekend for lunch before a show at Raven Theatre just up the street, and it was great choice. It felt like we were being hosted by old friends. Maria and her mom Lily rolled out the red carpet for us, answering our questions and making sure the food was perfect for us. Loved the food and the hospitality. This is what you love to see in a small place in Chicago!! I wish I’d taken a photo of my burek but I immediately devoured it.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get nervous to try a buffet, especially when I considered size from outside, but I’ve been craving a buffet style restaurant for a while and begged my partner to try it with me- and honestly we both were blown away by all the different food options and the service!!!! It’s a mother daughter duo, and couldn’t feel anymore at home than we did today! She was sooo kind and friendly and really treated us so well. My partner was obsessed with the Chicken Liver w/ Onions so we ended up taking takeout home! We live down the street and can’t wait to come back for lunch takeouts and after the beach hangouts!! Thanks again for great food!

Solid little spot for Eastern European comfort food. I got the beef burek and a side of ajvar—super flavorful, flaky, and filling. Spent about $14 total. The place is no-frills, but the food hits the spot. Service was quick, but not exactly warm. Still, I’d definitely come back when I’m craving something hearty. Heads up: cash only, so come prepared. Feels like a neighborhood gem.

I am new to Burek and wish we had this all over California. Man it has so full of flavorful ingredients. They do not hold back on the quality to compromise the quantity. Thank you Mara for the wonderful culinary experience. Pete

New menu as the Burek Shop - so we ordered a spinach and cheese along with apricot crepes. Both were great. The burek is thicker (particularly in the middle) here and that provides a different experience in terms of flake/chew and keeping contents moist. Diameter wise it seems like a small burek, but because it sits high, it was enough for us to share among three plus the crepes. Can sodas are going to cost you $2.50 and I think they are sticking with bottled water otherwise as any cheaper option to keep things simple in the kitchen. You're allowed to parking in the lot north of the shop where the White Castle is during the week (daytime only). Otherwise drive around the block and there's usually parking on the one way Thorndale south of the resto.

Food was very delicious, the cheese and beef burek tasted authentic and the portion size were generous, enough to take home! The service was amazing, everything came out very quickly and we felt very welcome.

Excellent burek! Also very friendly and thoughtful owner who ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Burek are big enough to take half home for a second meal. A gem in the neighborhood, we'll be back.

Had the cheese burek which was excellent. Flaky crust and lots of filling. The lady working was so friendly and sweet. Definitely recommend. Will return for the other flavors. If you haven't heard of or tried burek then give this a try.

The lady who owns and runs it is super sweet and is very helpful. They do not do a buffet anymore but the crepe was good and the burek was good. We had a cheese one and it's similar to a blintz but still unique. They have 7 different flavors and I would assume the pepperoni pizza one would be delicious. It's a small business but worth a try!

Picked up food purchased on too good to go. Lots of buffet quality carb loaded items- tasty in general but not my thing. Very sweet women there. I wish them the best but it's not for me.

Please, please visit this restaurant! It's so authentic Grandma makes Serbien-inspired food every day by herself and it tastes great. These are the places Yelp was founded for. To find new places that need our support. Make sure granny is busy. She serves regular breakfast but lunch and dinner are where her menu shines. Most items are made I. House especially the regional Serbian dishes like cevapi (little meatballs made to little Rolls) or the original Serbian hamburger pljeskavica. And always ask for Aiwa - a traditional condiment made from roasted red peppers. So good for any grilled meat. I had the cevapi for lunch - it comes with the biggest portion of fries and homemade cabbage salad - ask for Aiwa!! And I needed to come back for dinner and there I'll have grilled chicken with peppers and onions just house made with crispy chicken pieces made from chicken breast. Just like ma or grandma! Fresh from the pan/ grill. Also, her portions can feed a small family so please make sure you come hungry. And then for dessert the Serbian version of a crepe. I am pretty sure it might be older than crepes. And for sure better. More like a German pancake a rich dough filled with jam, eurokrem, or Nutella. Oh, I almost forgot just like at grandma's house there is always a fresh cup of tea or a coffee and it's on the house when you eat inside, and if you are a policeman or firefighter stop by any time and say hi. Coffee is always free for you guys - she is so thankful. And if she is not putting enough food on the plate already every lunch or dinner dish comes with house-made bread, butter, banana, and a little dessert (like a small sandwich roll). You will come hungry and 3M will never leave you hungry. it isn't my restaurant but I can promise it! Some say it's pricy - but it is not! You get an appetizer and desert with every meal and the portions are huge and you can take them home if you can finish them. It is a very fair price for that all! So please give 3M a visit and you will not be disappointed - that I also promise!

This place is probably the best deal in the city. One of these dishes can feed 4 people it's insane and delicious! Not to mention it comes with free bread and AMAZING butter, bananas, and two little pastries. The best part had to be the lady running this place. She is such a strong, sweet, and hard working person. I am so glad we got to come here and support what she does best!

This was an awesome restaurant with really great Burke. We had two savory ones one sweet and split it between 4 adults and it was plenty. Good prices and the restaurant was really clean. The woman who runs it was welcoming and ran the place on her own. Door was out in about 10-15 minutes and was fresh and delicious. We'll definitely be back!!!

I came here for a buffet lunch and absolutely loved it!!!! The stars for me were the traditional beans, polish sausage, corn, rice pilaf, corn dogs (yummy , just like they made them in grade school! I miss em so much, but now I can get it here), chicken soup, ... just everything. It's comfort food with love. You gotta come here.

Delicious!! I just had the spinach and cheese burek, and it is amazing. Finally, the real deal! The apricot crepes were also excellent. I'm thrilled that the "bun" I ordered is a fresh mini loaf of bread - a smaller version of what my mom used to make growing up. I'm too full to try the complimentary nutella crepe, but that was a nice surprise. I had everything delivered to me in Lakeview, so I imagine it's even better served in the restaurant. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes! I'm especially excited to try the poppy seed strudel when it's available.

I recently had lunch there, and the food was very good. It was like being at my grandma's house for lunch. All the food was fresh, homemade, and the elderly lady that was running the place was very friendly, and very obliging

One of the best kept secretes in Chicago. Incredible diversity and flavor on classic American and Scandinavian breakfast items. Owner is super sweet and authentic. A very local neighborhood vibe.

We stumbled on this place after our original dinner plan didn't work out, and we left SO happy. The service is fantastic and the food is even better. Be prepared for huge and delicious portions. We will definitely come back!

Few times I tried food at this balkan cuisine spot and they are giving their best with high quality ingredients, preparation and hugeee portions. I tried burger, beef stew and some other cook food. Highly recommend for everyone to check this place!

I agree with every 5-star rating. The buffet is fantastic. It has a variety of proteins, such as sausage, pork, chicken, and fish. The vegetable dishes are made with fresh broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, and potatoes. Sweet potatoes were on today's menu, and they were very good, and so was the corn on the cob. It was sweet and tender. The buffet comes with soup and salad, and an assortment of homemade breads. All in all, I am very pleased and I will be back to the 3M Restaurant.

This place is amazing!! I ordered the beef stew and the spaghetti bolognese and both were phenomenal. Fresh and homemade tasting, I cannot wait to try some more of their food. Oh, and the freshly made bread is seriously delicious!! Awesome!!

Went to 3M for lunch yesterday - 1st time visit. Overall, my meal was very good. There were so many choices, I could only try a few. My favorites were the chicken liver & onions, the baked fish, the sausage (two kinds), sweet potato casserole, steamed vegetables, roasted peppers, baked beans and lemon cake. It was obvious that these were all homemade family recipes and just delicious. My main complaint is that some of the dishes weren't very hot which is always a challenge for buffet service. I also would have liked a few more salad toppings like radishes, celery, etc. I'm not in this area very often but I'll definitely dine there again when I am.

Ordered chicken noodle soup... not enough noodles and meat. The flavor was great, can't complain about that!!! Delivery service was awesome. I will try other meals they have available, i'm quite sure they will be good! PS Didn't care for the spaghetti noodles.

Excellent freshly prepared food and very friendly owner. If prices seem high, they are not. You get a huge amount of food for the money. Freshly made bread and kaymak with every dinner is a big plus. A wonderful taste of the Balkans. The real deal!

Delicious!! This is a hidden gem. We stopped here for breakfast on our way out of Chicago. It's the kind of hole-in-the-wall diner that you hope for in a big city. Everything is homemade by the owner, right down to the homemade English muffins. You can taste difference. The owner/cook was so gracious and warm. We had a lovely experience and if we lived closer, I would come here every week!

I love ordering from 3M! They got tasty home cooked meals, big burgers, creamy crepes and more.Balkan food places are well-known for serving big plates and 3M is no different. Burger combo is what big mac meal wishes to be when it grows up!
