Yelp
If you're reading other reviews and you see mention of Crosswinds Course, that was the previous course prior to 3's. Somehow Yelp got them combined.
I played here on a Thursday afternoon after they had a significant overnight rain and into the morning. It was great, no standing water or soggy spots, the greens were all in great shape, no water issues.
They are in a transition phase right now. They are operating out of a trailer while construction on the Clubhouse/Restaurant continues with an expected complete date in mid-December.
They have basic food, hot dogs and hamburgers with cold sodas and water.
They do serve cocktails as well in clubhouse. They have a lady who runs an on-site grill smoker who cooks the burgers and dogs. In the future they expect to offer BBQ.
I included my scorecard in the photos so you can see the hole distances.
The longest holes are about 145 yards and there is one that is 72 yards.
They combine the blue/white tees and the remaining tee distance is considerably shorter, the 'purple' tees are called the 'fun' tees.
I had been taking with Brian for a few weeks since I was driving down from Charlotte to play. He's a really nice guy and does a great job at multi-tasking and keeping the operation running.
You can see the scorecard photo I posted that indicates each hole is designed by a golfer or designer, including Pete Dye, Dan Maples and Jay Haas.
There is not a lot of trouble. No water comes into play however on some of the holes there are large berms covered with saw grass that is so thick and deep it will swallow your ball. If you're wide of the fairway, in the grassy knoll/berms you will burn a lot of time looking for your ball.
I was able to complete the course in 1.5 hours at a leisurely walk though I did have a Father and young son in front of me, I had no one behind me.
This is the FLAGSHIP course that will lead the development of other courses to be built around the Southeast & Justin Timberlake is one of the investor/owners.
They DO NOT have a driving range but they do have an 18 hole putting green they call the Humps & Bumps. They also have a small chipping/pitching area.
The Greenville Downtown airport is adjacent and one of the runways leads right into the golf course so there will be airplanes either taking off or landing during your round.
Plenty of free parking and the price is reasonable. I was able to apply the Veteran and Senior discount combo for $20 bucks, just can't beat it!
