3Ten Austin City Limits

Third time to ACL 3ten. It’s a cool venue to see a band and all 3 I’ve been to there have been fundraisers for various things, so very committed to community. Bar prices are what most of us think of as ridiculous, but are pretty much the norm: $12-14 beers, $14-20 cocktails, $8 soft drinks. As always, I wish there was a bit more seating (only a handful of stools inside), but you can always go out to the patio to sit and still see and hear the band.

Smaller Austin City Limits venue. Located just west of the souvenir shop. We didn’t get to see a show here but it was part of the tour we bought tickets for.

Great venue apart from three very bright screens which display video advertisements DURING the concert. Distracting and disappointing I had to turn my back to them so I could focus on the music without my whole periphery taken up by advertisement screen glow--that's not the point of live music

Great show. The Kings of Southern Rock Tribute. All the hits of Lynryd Skynrd and Allman Brothers. Great musicians. A no seats venue and beers are over priced.

My Husband and I went to see John Splinthoff, great show, especially since this talented artist brought just his guitars, a keyboard and his amazing vocals. Stripped down no band, or back up vocals just him. The sound was amazing and the venue fulfills its purpose. We didn’t expect chairs but there were plenty if you get there early enough, we sat in the second row but looked behind just as the show was going to start and it was standing room only. I didn’t buy any drinks nor use the restroom so cannot attest to those amenities but would return for future shows.

You can see international touring acts as well as top local talent at an affordable rate (unlike all things Moody).

Venue was lovely, bar and security staff were friendly, show was great! A note for those who use wheelchairs or other mobility assistance, or who would be inclined to request ADA accommodation via email as their website states - I sent an email when I bought tickets to request accommodation and never received a response. I called the box office a couple of weeks before the show and was told that the email needed to include the ticket purchase order confirmation number (this is not specified on the website). I was told to give them about 24 hours and someone would reply. I sent an updated email but never received a reply. On the night of the show, there was enough room for the person I requested accommodation for to move freely, and the accommodation ended up not being necessary. This is just to point out that if the show is a seated show, or at high capacity of attendees, or you will need accommodation no matter what, you will need to be in frequent contact with staff, likely including when you arrive to the venue, to ensure your needs are met.

First time here. 80's disco DJ. All songs shortened, scra-a-atched and remade. Lotsa dancers. Very tight security at front outside, everybody wanded down with arms out. Thank you for making the extra effort to keep revellers safe! Already full dance floor by 8:30 p.m. Large bar on right, clean bathrooms beyond, patio out front. Great flow. Good times with family.

Caught a last minute concert here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised! We parked in a nearby parking garage (city hall, I think?) and it was only $15 for the whole night (we could've stayed until 5am with that) and then we easily walked over to the venue. We were one of the first people to arrive and quickly got drinks at the inside bar. The weather was nice outside, as it was 7pm, so we sat at one of the high top tables just in front of the venue as we waited for the opener to start. The venue ended up opening the front sliding doors, so we really could've just stayed at the outside tables and listened from there! Nevertheless, the indoor space is comfortable inside. I look forward to coming back!

We were walking around DT Austin on a Friday night when we found this spot. We didn't really recognize the headliners but decided to check it out- bought tickets next door and went in. Roomy SRO in the interior with an outside patio with some seats. Abby Cone opened and Trousdale closed it out. Both acts were really good. Had 16oz canned beer at the bar- nice selection and friendly bartenders. The place was clean and there was plenty of friendly security. Good job!

Came here for the Billie Marten concert on a Thursday night. The venue is pretty small but has all that you need: bar to the side of the stage, clean bathrooms, and merch stand in the back. The sound was good and we really enjoyed the intimate feel this small venue brings. Perfect spot to host any indie bands.

We drove over from Houston to watch Billie Marten at 3TEN. We've been to ACL previously but didn't know they owned a regular live venue spot. It's located in downtown so your parking options will require $$$ unless you're walking from somewhere with free street parking. It was a good setup for a smaller indie/folk artist and the interior is organized and clean compared to some of the Houston venues that we've been to.

When one of your favorite bands is playing in Austin you need to go!! (Carbon Leaf) The bartenders were friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and it's a great spot to see music! There isn't a bad place to stand and the sound is amazing. After the concert, we walked down the street to Taverna and got some food and on our way back to the car we actually got to meet the band as they were getting packing up their equipment! What a happy coincidence. :) Check out the calendar and go see a show at this intimate concert venue. You would be a lot cooler if you did! *name that movie

I liked this venue. It was a little too loud, and our bartender struggled to hear drink orders, but the venue was nice. It wasnt crowded, but I was there for an event, so I dont know if that was how they managed the crowd size.

3TEN at ACL live is a music venue in downtown Austin. It's a great venue but there is very limited seating, expect to be standing unless you get there super early. I went Saturday night to see a Johnny Cash cover band Church of Cash. I recommend standing inside. The acoustics make a huge difference. It is setup right in downtown off of 2nd Street so people were walking by and stopping to get a free show. The service at the bar was great and the security handled any issues that came up. A great place in Austin to experience the nightlife and what Austin has to offer.

With all the pandemic craziness one of the biggest things I really, really missed were attending live music shows & thankfully, here in Austin our local music venues are getting creative to keep us safe by following the COVID precautions so we can attend music shows in person again! :))) So imagine my excitement when I saw that 3TEN Austin City Limits Live was having their 1st live music show scheduled on 9/26/2020 w/ The Watters playing! :)) whoop, whoop!!! Happy dance!!!! :)))))) One of the safety precautions taken by 3TEN is that there are a limited amount of tickets being sold since they now have tables w/ the 6ft between them & you can choose tables that have seating for 2, 4, 6, ect & they did have the divider open in the venue to the outside. When buying your tickets online you can see the seating diagram & it's location to the stage. -FYI..the music performance was live-streamed for those at home. :) -masks were required to be worn when coming in & going to restroom but while sitting at your table you could take your mask off, if you wanted to. There were wait staff that would take your drink & food order at your table. -QR code to scan for digital drink & food menu I love that we are able to get back to supporting our local music venues and local musicians, even though that support does look somewhat different so we can all stay as safe as possible. I had such a blast visiting recently. The patio is such a vibe and the sound is amazing. Felt like an Mtv unplug type vibe. Hidden gem!

This venue is centrally located in Austin and I promise you there isn't a bad seat in this place. Every seat gives you a clear view of the stage unless of course you're sitting behind an extremely tall person. The bars here are pretty good at pouring a drink (wink, wink) too. Women, don't forget about the bike taxis from your hotel, quick ride that will save the walk and pain in your feet if you're wearing heels. Overall, great place to catch a concert...not too big where you lose the intimacy with some artists! Amazing sounds system too!!!

Ok. The club is nice. It has a good sound system and a nice light set up. But it's a corporate venture for sure. The one star rating is because I am sooo sick and tired of the shear corporate greed! And 3Ten and Moody is as bad as it gets. 4 beers at 3Ten will cost you $56! Then, management at these joints have set the 'minimum suggested tip' at 20% oh, you also have the option to tip a quarter of the bill total or even 30%! Well FUCK that! $56 for 4 beers then they expect you to tip a bare minimum of $14 for the effort of popping open 4 beer cans. And the bar is slow as hell to boot, so you're sure to miss a good chunk of the show you paid the 3Ten premium to see. Pay your staff 3Ten so we don't have to supplement their income! Stop gouging your customers!

While in Austin for a meeting, after dinner, we were walking past 3TEN ACL Live and one of our party had heard that Howard Jones was playing tonight. We checked but the box office was closed and the bouncer shared that they were sold out. Oh well, we thought. But then the bouncer said, hang on, let me see what I can do. moments later he let us know if we were okay standing, we could come in....for FREE. not a fancy spot and basically folding chairs for seating, standing along side of the bar was just fine. Plus as we were at the front of the bar, we were closer to the stage than half of the audience. But enough about the venue, thisnplacenis about the music! Howard was terrific. He covered his hits, he played new stoff and he even had the audience participation going through sing alongs. Funny, self deprecating and just a terrific entertainer. While absent a full band, he had a guitarist and bassist to round our his 'acoustic' review. What fun to get to experience live music in the real 'music city'

I attended a private event here, so I can't speak of a public time, but this place is awesome! Great room to see a show for sure! The stage is a perfect size and the room matches- it is large enough but still intimate. The staff was wonderful and I really enjoyed the bar area. I can imagine the fun one would have on a normal night. Hopefully soon! I will definitely be back in the future for a show!

It's a great sized venue but the crowd is so loud-- people who go there talk a lot (many people seem to see it as a party with a band not a concert) and sound carries from the bar/back of the house. Go see loud bands who play over the talking if you want to hear the music. Maybe I'm just too old to tolerate the drunks and youngsters.

The venue is kind of small but it definitely packs a punch! The sound system is phenomenal. I do say this is really an enjoyable place to see a show no mater the genre. Definitely gets crowded especially if it's a sell out show. But it's laid out properly to allow for easy movement and flow.

Great venue! On Saturday morning we did a tour of ACL Live with Jack (who was amazing btw!) and he suggested we stop by here for The Cactus Blossoms show in the evening. We are sure glad we did...we really enjoyed the venue, great spot to see live music regardless of who's playing. Oh...and check out the cool photography in the restrooms :)

Did a tour of ACL, which was fantastic and I highly recommend if you have any interest in photographs and stories of musical history along with behind-the-scenes insight into the PBS TV show, and they suggested coming to check out a show by The Belle Sounds in the 3TEN venue later in the week. We are glad we did. It is an awesomely intimate space with great sound. If I lived in the area, I would be visiting to check out music on a regular basis. Be aware unless you grab a seat outside on the patio along the sidewalk (which wouldn't be good for watching the show) that it's a SRO set up.

This place lives up to the hype. It was rented out for us during a conference in Austin. The place is really cool inside. For us, it was set up with tables everywhere and food stations and the bar was open. I am sure this is a little different as it was a private party. I see why bands want to play there. Not only because there is a tv show filmed from there but because it was a cool stage. The set up and acoustics are excellent. They put on a great party! If I am ever back in Austin, I will always check this place out.

Live music venue in downtown Austin. We came here for a Wine Down Wednesday event. There is ample room for dancing and observing near the stage. The bar does take credit cards. Cool decor and you definitely feel the south Texas Austin vibe.

3TEN is a cozy little venue and great for an intimate show, as others have mentioned. I definitely think the sound could use a little tweaking; I honestly felt like it was turned up to the settings of the Moody Theater, which isn't necessary in a 350 person capacity venue. Drinks were good; bartenders a bit uninterested, but what can ya do. All in all, I enjoyed this venue and would love for more artists to come through and play the smaller stage.

3Ten is a small venue that hosts quite a few events. I will keep the review short and sweet. If you can book a private event or attend one here, then do so as it would be perfect, but any large scale event may not be the best as it gets way too crowded. Very overpriced food and drinks with limited service. Not my cup of tea and really do not plan on coming back honestly at least for any larger events again.

Great music venue for small/medium size shows (we saw The Alarm on a Saturday night). It'd be hard to find a bad spot inside where you couldn't see the band (assuming you are of average height, I guess). The bar is large and waits were reasonable. The bathrooms (men's, and according to reports, women's) are magnificent for a music venue, though a bit small for the post-concert rush. There's a big roll-up door that was open, and would be great when it's not 100 degrees out. But you get pleasant views of the Christmas light-lit sidewalk area, and can go outside if you like. All in all, a good place to see a show.

The venue and vibe was fabulous. Even the bartenders were nice and friendly. Better than I expected. Primo the Alien was the opening act and they sounded good. However when Sarah Jaffe joined the stage I could see she kept asking the sound guy to turn up her mic. Her sound sounded off. It was a bit disappointing but I'm overlooking it Bc it was nice to see live music again. I'll go see another show at ACL but if sound is not as great then it's the venue who needs to rethink their acoustics.

I really wanted to like this club, but I'm worried about their charging policy. Pros: -They might make a habit of having awesome themed nights like Buffy 90's night -It's small and intimate without being cramped Cons: -My friend and I were heavily ignored when we first got to the bar (not ignored because there were prettier women around, but just ignored) -THEY DO THE OVERCHARGING BECAUSE THEY HOPE YOURE TOO DRUNK TO NOTICE THING. They heavily advertised on the event page and at the bar that it was $5 well drinks. I ordered two rum and cokes and a water throughout the night. Even with a ridiculous up charge for the water, I expected to pay about $15. They handed me my tab and it was $32! I told him this was wrong and had to wait 10 minutes for the manager to return. She then asked if I had a Bud Light, so either someone had charged something to my tab, or one of the bartenders did on accident or maybe on purpose. Who knows. She took the Bud Light off which took it down to $24. First of all, is a Bud Light really $8 anywhere? Secondly, I knew my water was not $14. After confirming that a water was only $3, I told them this tab should not be more than $13. I was then rudely informed that the well I had ordered was a "long pour." I told her I did not ask for that, that I wanted the special. Furthermore, I did not see a single person on the dance floor with anything but a long pour cup leading me to believe that not a single bartender including the manager gave someone the advertised well drink price. Even if I had requested a long pour, my tab should have been $19, not $24 ($8 long pour pricing). She angrily fixed my tab. Later I found out that my friend, who had requested a well drink and an Eastciders (priced at $8) was charged $18. That's still an up charge of $2 on the long pour price she didn't ask for when her tab should have been $13. If you go to this club, DO NOT GET TOO DRUNK! You will end up paying over double what you should. Also I didn't see anyone get carded anywhere

Very rude staff as well as getho entrance guards. It seems that they worked at dirty six and have the same mentality.

Walked in, walked out. Not as described and not even close to a Studio 6A experience. Stand around and drink (pricey) kinda place. Threw away our tickets. We'll pass on the 3ten ACL experience.

Venue is great. Cool air conditioner for the hot summer months. Don't buy floor tickets. Can't see people on the stage. Go for the first balcony instead. Plenty of bars inside but no snacks

Celebrated a big birthday at 3TEN ACL with a band, food and photo booth. This is the perfect venue for a special party with indoor and outdoor space for people who want to dance and those who need a little more quiet space to talk. The location next to the W, restaurants and near Lady Bird Lake make it even better. The coordinators were helpful with organization and support. It is expensive, when it all comes together, but I couldn't imagine a better night for everyone. I am still hearing from those who participated it was the best!

Acoustically speaking, one of the worst music venues I've visited in a while (and I saw many a show at the Austin Music Hall). I was centrally located in the packed venue, in an attempt to enjoy one of my favorite singer/songwriter's performance, and was overwhelmed with sound from the bar. I could hear the bar fridge slamming, drinks being made, ice tubs being refilled, people placing orders... all over the sound being put out by the speakers. The musician made the ask and then people in the audience were actually shouting in the direction of the bar for people to be quiet; but in their defense, I think people should be able to have a conversation at the bar without it ruining a show. The room somehow functions as a giant megaphone, projecting all the sound from the bar throughout the venue.

Disappointing security at 3TEN -- the guards asked me to leave my two cans of coffee by the door (which were in my backpack), together with other people's bottles of water, which all formed a line. When I came out a two hours later, half-way through the event, the whole line was gone, including my canned and unopened coffee. "We're not responsible for the drinks, the manager came in and recycled it." WTF? Why do you even have to remove unopened drinks from your bag in the first place, especially during SxSW when you simply have samples, and everyone has drink tickets for indoor consumption anyways? Shady and inconsiderate.

3TEN needs bussers. The cups pile up. They are not ready for the people to show up and party. Otherwise pretty OK generic venue, you get the overpriced drinks of ACL live space with none of the amazing acoustics.

My husband and I traveled to Texas for a 10 day vacation. ACL was on our list to see the Mavericks. If I could give ACL a ten I would. The sound and lighting were spectacular. We are huge Mavericks' fans and to see them at ACL was a dream come true. Everyone at the facility were friendly and professional. Love, love it. We will return!!! btw the Mavericks were amazing!!!

Great venue but they lie. Grupo Fantasma was advertised as starting at 9, but they had a DJ from 9 until 10. Everything else is great: fantastic sound system, nice lighting and effects, stage elevated enough so you can see the band wherever you are. Standing only, at least for this show.

Best venue in town. Sound is amazing and can't be beat. Very intimate experience. Highly recommended.
