Great place to hang out and grab a drink. The outdoor space is comfortable and has heated seats! The service is excellent and their liquor selection is extensive. The food is a notch above typical pub fare

This was my first time visiting 3UP. I met my best friend for drinks and a bite to eat. It was busy, for sure. If you want a couch with a table, go early or wait around until one opens up. Our server was Ivy. She's a superb server! You'll be well taken care of if she's waiting on you. The drinks are good and so is the food. It's a little pricey. We each had 3 drinks and pizza and sliders. The bill totaled $150, which included a 25% tip. But it was a great place to meet a friend and catch up. There was live music later in the evening, which I love! Overall, it was a great experience!

Google
Neat place in Carmel! It’s nice to find something that feels new and unique. Being a rooftop open air place hits that spot. Service was good and nice people. Food was good. My only gripe at all was a limited bourbon list (but if the crowd doesn’t demand it I can’t blame them.). I’ll definitely be back.

Google
First visit to 3UP and I was highly impressed! Great location, right on the Monon in Carmel. Nice bar with a beautiful outdoor area that has plenty of seating. The service was top notch and the apps were really good. Drinks were fantastic too. They make a mean whiskey sour. Great atmosphere! Perfect place for date night or drinks with friends. I highly recommend!

We went for the first time on a saturday night, which was yesterday. I can say that the food was good and the drinks too, sadly it took forever to be served. Every time we wanted to order new drinks, we had to wait for the waitress who disappeared, which I'm guessing to serve other people. It was so crowded, and people were super loud that I couldn't hear the music at all as we sat on the table adjacent to the bar inside. They should probably install an additional speaker for sure. Also I couldn't take pictures for the space since all that you see is people. Then we moved outside as some chairs became available. It was better, yet the Dj was done, so we missed the live show. I don't think that I would visit again on weekends, I might try on some other days.

Google
This is a quant indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge with a relaxed vibe. They serve some of the trendiest cocktails. The food here was pretty good. Try the garlic parm wings and charcuterie boards. 3up would be a nice place to host your upcoming event/party (Bachelorette or bachelor party, birthday party). They can accommodate. Between 10 and 150 people. Try the wings, black Manhattan, and the Frites. 3up opens at 5pm Tip.. get there early to get a good spot, but remember the elevator is programmed automatically to allow you access to the 3rd floor at 5 pm, so no getting up there until 5 pm. 3up has an awesome view, and it's right by the monon, so you can people watch as you sip on a bubble.

Great experience - great drinks and atmosphere. Will be back soon

Google
Carmel needs to get in the market of rooftop bars because 3UP has it all figured out. High quality appetizers, endless drink options, and live music all outside! The vibes are immaculate. Wait staff is slow but that’s only because it’s so jam-packed!

Yelp
Had a fun friend date at 3UP! Our drinks were beautiful and delicious. The vibe was on point--great music, lively crowd, nice view, and an awesome greenery wall that's perfect for pics.
google avatar

Yelp
Great fun on the rooftop. Nice fireplaces, great atmosphere. Excellent seating. It does get busy and it does get very loud. If you can snag a seat in one of the coves, grab it. It helps a lot with the noise. The food I had was flatbread and fries. They were good. My wife had a veggie board, but it was gone when I got there. She said it was good.

Yelp
I love 3UP! It's a great place to hangout with friends. Very trendy on the inside and the rooftop is spacious with a perfect view of downtown Carmel. The service has always been great and they are very attentive. The drinks are always very good as well. I usually come during the more chilly months so I can enjoy the fireplace outside. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
The atmosphere is great! When I last went they still had the inside decorated with winter garland and other decorations. Super cute! It's not the biggest space. Then outdoor area is great! But the heaters are mainly under the patio. And the fireplaces are quickly taken. I do with they have a few standing tables and more portable heaters. We got a table inside though! Our server was amazing! I don't remember her name, but she was fantastic! I split a flatbread with a friend and it was super good! The fries are so so. They're a lot like the ones at Steak 'n Shake. I love those! Just not for the price here. Apparently they're known for their espresso martini. I tried it. Not the best I've had. But not the worst. Other drinks are better. Not my favorite place to go to, but we had great service, and the aesthetic is great!

Yelp
My husband and I are always wishing we had more rooftop bars like Nashville -- so you can imagine our excitement when we found out we had one in Carmel! This made for a perfect spot for my Bachelorette Party to take a break and enjoy some beverages for the afternoon. It was great atmosphere and great service. And the Espresso Martini was the BEST I've ever had!

Yelp
The 3UP Rooftop Lounge is a very cool place for drinks, food, conversation, and music. Service was a "little" on the slow side, but I think that's because this is one of those places that requires one server to cover about 100 tables. That's a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea. I guess that's the world we live in now, in the post-Covid reality. The food was surprisingly good, and the drinks were also above-average. The two tips I can offer are as follows: a) After several drinks and a few appetizers, you may find yourself several hundred dollars lighter. It's a little pricey here. That's because of the premium that all Carmel Monon-area restaurants charge; you're paying handsomely for the privilege of occupying this ultra-premium space for an hour or two. So, be mentally prepared for $16-$20 cocktails, being that that is what they have here. b) After many, many, many failed attempts to find a table here during the past year, apparently the secret to not getting shut-out is to arrive between 5-6pm. If you show up at 9pm with an entourage, expecting to sit down at a table, that's probably not going to happen. This space is simply too popular and too small for that.

Priscilla M.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I finally had a chance to go in Feb . It was packed and bustling , there was a live music too! All these bring excitement! There are plenty of outdoor seatings for the summer looking towards the carmel arts district which is beautiful. Since it was still winter, we stayed inside. I tried their 2 handcrafted cocktails but i forgot what they were called, seems like the menu might change frequently.

Yelp
3UP was a really fun pre-dinner drink place! The severs were very very responsive and kind. There is a cute and large outdoor area as well as an indoor area. The vibe outside (as you can see in the pictures) is extremely cute and photo worthy! Definitely will be going back!
google avatar

Yelp
Limited bar menu. Fun drinks. My lemon drop wasn't strong but was still tasty. Our server was fun and checked on us regularly without being overbearing. The vibe was really nice. It was clean. Everyone was friendly. We heard live music over the balcony, so we headed out to explore. I had no idea that Carmel was a vibe on Thursdays.

Yelp
Came here to pregame for my friend's birthday. Loved loved loved the rooftop vibes. Great scenery to take pictures. The service and server was very attentive and accommodating. We did not try the food but will definitely be back. We were able to find parking on the street but there is also $10 valet parking.

Sydney S.

Yelp
Always a fan of their tacos, fries and Brussels + the general ambiance, but can be a little expensive. Tried the wagyu steak tacos which hit the spot. Mallowdramatic cocktail was delicious too!
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
We stopped in right at 5 on Friday night and found a quiet seat near the windows. 3UP is so beautifully decorated and felt perfectly festive. Plus my drink was spot on. We both loved what we ordered and made plans to return again with friends. Service was friendly and available but not overbearing.
google avatar

Elie Z.

Yelp
Cool place! Stopped by around 5 pm and there was plenty of space around. DJ was playing. I loved my cucumber margarita. Nice rooftop bar if you are in a Carmel area.

Avery S.

Yelp
An awesome rooftop bar hidden away on main street Carmel! Decor is fabulous!! Drinks are yummy. Great way to spend a Saturday with friends. Service was quick and nice.
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
Came here with my wife and got some wine, beer and the goat cheese balls before dinner. It was a great ambiance and the vibe was really neat and nice to be on a rooftop. Service was great, will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Ambience is fantastic, cocktails are very good, the waitresses and service members are very polite

Yelp
Was in Carmel to catch up with a friend and found this amazing rooftop bar! I had the espresso martini, which they use REAL espresso in!! It's hard to find a good espresso martini these days! My friend got a glass of wine. The lighting was great and the overall vibe was great as well. There were lots of people, and our server still came up to us and had our drinks out within 5 minutes. Great place for a casual drink to date night!
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Wagyu steak tacos were bland, service was atrocious and the bartenders are so slow and un observant it's laughable. The manager? Collin? Just disappeared when we asked to speak to someone & clearly has no control over the crowd in there. Only thing that was worth our time and the money spent was the musical act. They were too good for 3up.
google avatar

Cacy W.

Yelp
This place is really fun! The inside is super pretty, area is clean and nice. Drinks are super tasty, but very pricy. Food is good, but also pricy and limited options. Service was good and quick as well. They had live music and the singer was very good! Only downside was the wait to get in. I was with 5 friends and it took us some time to get through the door. Overall fun and a nicer option for going out with friends compared to places around.
google avatar

Alexander B.

Yelp
The place looks cool on the photos and it does IRL. Beautiful indoor and outdoor lounge areas, nice music. The not so good part: food is average and overpriced for what it is. Very basic and small portions. They also seem to be understaffed (one waiter for like 50 people).
google avatar

Timea M.

Yelp
Pretty shocked this is my first time leaving a review... considering I LOVE THIS PLACE! 3up is my favorite place to pop into for post work drinks. The food is tasty and the drinks are delicious! This time I checked out the new espresso slushy and I'm in love! So tasty and yummy! You also can't go wrong with the spinach dip! Another delicious option! The monon sliders are really good as well. Only negative is the fries were a tad over cooked and hard this time. This isn't typical so I won't vote them down! Go check them out you won't be disappointed!

caitlin b.

Yelp
FABULOUS espresso martinis on tap!! Service was great, as well as a beautiful atmosphere inside and on the rooftop. Plenty of space for large groups with scheduled events. 10/10!
google avatar

Lexi S.

Yelp
It was a beautiful afternoon so we decided to grab drinks at 3up. We got there right at 5:00 when they opened and were able to pick any seat outside we wanted. It did fill up quick so I would suggest you go early! We ordered a glass of the sav blanc and it was light and crisp. We also shared a order of the fries and the aioli it came with was delicious. Our server was very attentive. I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Meisha W.

Yelp
If you love espresso martinis, you must get over to this place! The ambiance is so chill. Love music is a fun surprise. I'm looking forward to warm summer nights on the rooftop patio.

Yelp
One of the coolest bars in Indy!! The location couldn't be better - right above Anthonys Chophouse overlooking Carmels Main Street. Parking is made easy by finding a spot In the garage attached to the building. You can go directly from the garage into the 3UP building. Head up to floor three and the sophisticated dimly lit ambiance is felt immediately. It just makes you feel fancy! They've got a great selection of drinks, including tons of quality liquor and plenty of bottled beer/seltzers too. I've eaten from there menu here and the sliders were delicious. They've just redone the menu and it's so much bigger so I'm eager to give it a try again. The patio is a hit even in the winter, they have fires and heaters everywhere. The holiday decorations are so galore and so cozy. Customer service is always great. Prices are not that much more than standard bars around here. No other spot like this in Indy!

Yelp
Finally got a chance to meet a friend here for drinks this weekend. It was a perfect night for it - warm but not hot, slight breeze. There were fire pits, but none of them were lit (might be saved for the cooler months?). They open at 5 and we met there at 6. There wasn't a line to get in, but we did have to stand around for a while before some comfy chairs opened up. We were able to get drinks at the bar and enjoy some very entertaining people watching in the meantime. There are a variety of good seating options--low, comfy chairs, bar tables, couches, etc. There are a couple of very easy-on-the-eyes servers/bartenders, and everyone was really nice and checked in with us just the right amount. As the night went on, it took a little longer to get drinks, but it wasn't outrageous. Loved the vibe here, from the crowd to the music. It reminded me of my favorite rooftop bar in Milwaukee ... so glad to have this option here in Indy! When we left around 9:30pm, there was a bouncer by the elevator and a long line in the hallway. Make sure to get there early if you don't want to wait!
google avatar

Yelp
What a beautiful swanky spot in Carmel! We went to the 3UP Rooftop Lounge for a friends going away party. It was a great location. There is plenty of seats for sun or shade. The service was fantastic! The couch and chair set up was perfect for hanging out with friends. I got the Guava Lotta Spice- it was really good - great complexity and balance. Habanero Infused Tequila was perfection! The table also got some appetizers - the rosemary Parmesan fries and the creamy spinach dip. The fries were addicting! A great place for a cocktail!
google avatar

Katie L.

Yelp
3up is a great place to meet for drinks. The outdoor area is wonderful, and the indoor area feels outdoor thanks to the large open windows and doors. We were able to meet at 5:45 for a 6:45 dinner reservation at Monterey Cuisine across the street and all was perfect. We had time for one drink and oysters- staff advised almost all food comes out within 15 minutes which is astounding! This was our second time and I can't wait to return. My only critique is that though I understand its name is due to the location being 3 stories up...it does sound a bit close to "throw up" verbally. I think I'll refer to "that rooftop lounge in Carmel" from now on and see where that gets me!
google avatar

Carly G.

Yelp
Since moving to Carmel, we've been wanting to try this place. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere feels like you're downtown, not in Carmel. It's a great place to be on a nice summer day! They had live music which is also one of my favorite things in the world! The only thing that is frustrating is it is first come first serve seating. I hate being the kind of person who is staring someone down for a table because it can be crowded on a nice night, but after standing around for about 20 mins, we got a table. The drinks were great. I had the strawberry edged cocktail which was delicious. We also split the burrata which was the highlight of the evening. Highly suggest it! I can't wait to come back and stay longer.
google avatar

Alexis G.

Yelp
This was a new place for us. I really enjoyed the rooftop bar atmosphere and they had a live DJ when we went. It was lively and fun if you are going for a social type of atmosphere. I don't recall the menu having pricing, at least the drink menu so be prepared to spend a good amount of money if buying drinks. We had a great time though and this was a treat for us to. Our waitress was also amazing, she continued to check up on us and made great recommendations.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
On a Saturday evening, this rooftop restaurant & bar felt more like a nightclub. The decor is modern, people were mostly dressed up, there was a dj, and the music was very loud. I ordered a margarita and we shared the pizza special along with the brussel sprouts. I would eat those brussel sprouts every single day if I could. Holy cow, those were good!! The pizza was just okay. I expected better with the margarita, but it was just okay. I wouldn't avoid this place, but I'm definitely not recommending it or trying to hurry back there. Well, for anything other than brussel sprouts. Maybe takeout.
google avatar

Kristie W.

Yelp
Had the Jamaican Chicken Pizza and two delicious drinks!!! Luke was our waiter. He was very attentive and patient. Love that for us. The atmosphere was nothing but good vibes. Will definitely be back and you should meet me there!!
google avatar

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
So here's the thing--it's a beautiful bar, it looks like a happy hour from every cliche rom com movie that is cool and trendy. I had a fun time and the staff was very nice, but the prices are meh. For two drinks and a split appetizer + tip I spent nearly $45....for a happy hour. The drinks were okay, they tasted good, they were pretty but they weren't like life changing. The outdoor patio is cool and a fun spot to spend on a summer evening. But would I go here weekly --probably not. It's a fun experience but you'll be paying for it.
google avatar

Jaeana D.

Yelp
Really nice place to go if you're looking for a nice rooftop happy hour. The drinks were good. The food left much to be desired. The evening I went there was a singer on the rooftop. I will return be only for drinks
google avatar

Sigrid W.

Yelp
The entrance is a bit difficult to find. A pair of non-descript glass doors a bit to the West of Anthony's Chophouse. Once you enter, take the elevator to your right and proceed to the third floor. The bar is beautiful and in nice weather wonderfully open and airy. There is a living plants wall and several seating groups. The view is awesome btw. I didn't indulge in the food, since I was killing time waiting for my reservation at Anthony's (which is a great idea). The drink menu is innovative and fun. I slurped down Vinnie's Temptation... delicious... light and refreshing, yet packs a punch.
google avatar

Niki B.

Yelp
Am I still in Carmel?! This swanky-cool rooftop gave me the excitement of a big city, with the relief of easy parking and quick service. 3UP is on top of the restaurant Anthony's Chophouse, but uses a different door. If you're standing outside Anthony's, you'll see a sign on the sidewalk that says "3UP this way" with an arrow. You take the elevator up to the third floor and can choose to sit outside or inside. The inside bar area is completely open to the outside (it's all a huge window that opens) and the outdoor part is covered and full of comfy chairs, tables, and a plant wall. Yes, this is an upscale spot, but you don't need to pay top dime. I paid only $6 for a Peroni, but they also had cocktails ranging from $10-$14, a few other beers (both less and more expensive options), and wine as well. They also had a menu of snacks including fries, sandwiches, and other meals and mini meals. Everyone should definitely visit this spot at least once! It's so beautiful, comfortable and fun. The chairs are super plush and the space is great for groups. There's even a big high-top table that would fit about ten people. Now go enjoy this great weather!
google avatar

Nathan F.

Yelp
It's very pretty. Other than that not much good to say. If you like rude staff, overpriced drinks, and pretentious vibes then you'll love it!
google avatar

Katie U.

Yelp
This is a stunning rooftop bar that fills a void in Carmel for a sleek, upscale place for drinks and small bites after work. It's not super easy to find the door that leads you to the elevator that takes you to the rooftop, but that adds to the "exclusive" vibe. When you arrive, you're rewarded with a cosmopolitan bar with a gorgeous outdoor patio with aerial views of downtown Carmel, a living plant wall, fire pits and comfortable seating arrangements. The cocktails will run you about $25 for 2 but they're deliciously crafted and have fun names like the Carmel Cosmo and Roundabout. No dress code here but you'll feel like you fit in more if you're slightly dressed up.
google avatar

Peter P.

Yelp
This is a fun bar when the weather is nice and you can enjoy the roof. The vibe outside is relaxed and laid back. There was a young lady singing and playing piano. The indoor portion is more club-like (Kanye was thumping).
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
It's cute, has good cocktails. Definitely would get there right when they open at least on the weekends since they are first come first serve. Patio isn't warm enough in the colder months which what can you really do. But the inside is small. We tried to have my bday celebration there but ended up leaving due to not enough space which again not their problem. Overall I'd love to go back on a not so busy evening
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
A neat place to sit and have drinks. You're up on a rooftop! You're above everyone, and when you look down, you can see downtown Carmel and all the people who aren't having $13 cocktails like you are. I feel like there's a metaphor here somewhere, but I'm not sure what it is. We were starving when we visited, so we ordered the things that sounded the most filling and like they had the most calories: the "impossible" sliders (vegetarian burgers with cabbage salsa on pretzel buns) and the UP nachos (potato chips with braised pork, queso, green onion, beans, lime sour cream and tomatoes). Both of our "shareables" were really good, but we liked the nachos the best. We had never had nachos made with kettle-style chips, and we were pleasantly surprised. The chips stay really crunchy underneath all that melty cheese and pork. They have a lot of interesting-sounding cocktails here. Lots of unusual botanical and alcoholic combinations. But I was feeling like something citrusy, so I got the Rooftop Roundabout, which is gin, grapefruit, lemon, aperol and rosemary. Delicious! It goes down easy (almost too easy), and was the perfect thing to sip while I sat outside on the rooftop and enjoyed the nearby fire pit. By the way, they have outdoor rooftop fire pits at 3UP! They are first come, first served. We were able to snag one because we are old and eat dinner promptly at 4 p.m. There was only other couple there when we were there, and they were old too, so us old people got first dibs on the rooftop fire pits. Yay for eating early! One interesting thing about 3UP is their restrooms. They have gender neutral toilets, and they also have a communal sink where you wash your hands. Me and some dude exited our respective restroom stall at the same time, and then we both met and washed our hands at the same sink. It was a little weird, but I guess I'm down with it.
google avatar

Nichole K.

Yelp
Good food, drinks, and ambiance! Had a great time and can't wait to come back in the summer months!
google avatar

Mollie Z.

Yelp
Rooftop bars are hard to come by in the suburbs so this was a must try spot for me. I've been a couple times now and have really enjoyed it each time. I went for the first time in the winter when they released their new cocktail menu. The cocktails were excellent and the patio is heated in the winter so we were perfectly comfortable sitting outside even though it was pretty cold out. When I visited most recently, I finally tried the food and was impressed! We tried the margarita pizza which was really more like a cheese pizza but delicious nonetheless. We also tried the burger which was really good and the cheese board which we felt could've had better cheese selections but was still delicious and more food than we needed. I'll be a regular at this spot before they know it
google avatar

Yelp
I haven't been to a "bar" in so long because let's just face it - I'm an old married lady now with a young kiddo. My friend told me - we needed a much girls night out so I put on my cute clothes and some lipstick and headed out. I had never been to the rooftop bar of the restaurant (we usually eat dinner at the restaurant) I had no idea what I've been missing out on. The margaritas are on point and the food at 3Up is just as good as the restaurant (I always have to eat when I drink haha)
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
What a great hangout this place is for cocktails! I have heard great things about this bar and it stayed true to its reputation. The venue is pricey, so if you are on a budget, then I would not recommend this place unless you just want to get a cocktail and nothing else. I had the Milo's spicy margarita and it was excellent!!! ALL the cocktails are excellent and do not disappoint whatsoever. The veggie pizza is very good as well. Our server, Colin, was fantastic and stayed on top of everything for our group. He was very professional and gave good recommendations on cocktails. 3UP bar is a wonderful place for hanging out and relaxing, especially on the rooftop with the heaters. I would definitely come back here again to relax and have a cocktail with friends. It is worth the price!
google avatar

Didi I.

Yelp
Finally got to go 3up it was so much fun!! I went in a Wednesday night it wasn't super busy so we got to sit outside! At first I was worried it would be too chilly to sit out but they have heaters everywhere! On Wednesday they offer half priced wine bottles!!! It's a great time to go if it's your first time! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Food was plentiful and delicious! When you first walk in the host will take your temperature for precautions. All staff is wearing masks.
google avatar

Yelp
3up has been on my list to try for a while now, I finally went last night. It's a great date night/girl's night/celebration atmosphere. The night I went, it suddenly started raining and we were still really comfortable. I'm a big fan of the decor. There's a mix of high tops, tables, and comfy couches and chairs, pick your poison. Speaking of, the menu has something for everyone. For starters, I sipped on the HARBINGER OF HEAT, it's their take on a margarita, with an added kick of spice. We started out grazing on a charcuterie board, it was pretty standard but definitely the way to go if you're not sure on food. We decided to move on to something a little more filling-steak frites and the ahi tuna flatbread. Both were good, the flatbread left a little to be desired. The crust was more like a big cracker than a flatbread. The steak was good, but beware if you're a picky eater, it comes topped with a mushroom cream sauce. Definitely a place to try, especially if you want some insta-worthy pics or to take friends from out of town.

Yelp
i've recently been looking for great rooftop vibes since it's heating up outside, i found 3up rooftop lounge at the beginning of the year & it's been at the top of my list to try every since. i finally made it and it was such an AMAZING experience. the views are beautiful. you can see all of midtown carmel from up there. the evening view is great but the view at night is BREATHTAKING. the menu isn't huge but i love that because it's easier to find out what you want. it's more so appetizers & they also have some big plates. i absolutely love the drink menu because they have a drink for everyone's taste! the rooftop is lit up with tvs so if you want to catch the game there you can, it's also some good music playing & great spots for photo opps. i will definitely be back. *lavender garden: ford's gin, lavender honey syrup, lemon juice. 10/10. *3up pepperoni: crispy pepperoni, queso, italian cheese. 10/10. *some of the best pizza i've ever tasted*

Yelp
3UP is such a vibe. From the view, to the fire pits, the atmosphere is amazing. My friends and I visited on a Friday night and the live music was great, and the crowd was so energetic. The drinks were delicious. I ordered a "Papa Don't Preach" and I must say, it's one of the best drinks I've had. This place is a great spot for a girls night out, a date night, or even a happy hour with co-workers. Keep in mind though, in order to get to the rooftop, you may have to wait a while. Partially because of Covid and the other because it's a popping spot! Well worth the wait. The only thing I would slightly change is the service. Though it wasn't terrible, the servers could come around more often, especially when drinks run out. Our server came around maybe once every 90 minutes.
