I will admit I am not the biggest bbq sauce fan, I was just craving some Mac and cheese and burnt ends! Doordashed from here, employee called to let me know they couldn't do the sauce on the side for burnt ends. I found that very courteous. I still went with them instead of the brisket bc I just wanted some tender Burnt Ends. I probably wouldn't get either again. some of the burnt ends were soft, but majority was more chewy than I was hoping for. For the price, I didn't find the Mac and Cheese to be worth it.

I really enjoyed my food from 402 BBQ. Their Atomic Jalapeno Poppers were stuffed with delicious brisket and wrapped in charred and crispy bacon. My B-Rad sandwich tasted great and was generously portioned. I also really enjoyed their bbq pit beans and corn salad. Their food definitely has a spicy kick but that's my jam. I look forward to eating there again.

Brisket was meh. The pulled pork and pulled turkey were pretty good. The sauces were really good compared to most of the uncompetitive competition. The dill deviled egg potato salad was good and the beans were great. The beans had a very smoky chili flavor. Currently drive through only.

Was driving down 84th Street today and stopped in. I got the Cadillac sandwich with a side of coleslaw. OH MY GOD was it fantastic. Not only was the food great the girl who took and filled my order was fabulous. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

Better than the other chain bbq restaurants. I've been driving past this place for a while and never stopped. I finally stopped for 1/2 rack of ribs and pulled pork. Everything was very good, just the right amount of smoke, moist, and good size ribs (think brontosaurus bones). We ended up getting 4 sause to try which were all good. Clearly not sauce out of a bottle (in a good way).

At our 404th 'cue stop in 35 states we forked over $30.66 to a very friendly lady, and in return received ½ pound of burnt ends, cubed and sauced in the KC manner, a turkey sandwich, and regular sizes of potato salad, baked beans, and smoked street corn salad. Both meats were nicely smoked with good flavor profiles; there are different sauces available and we tried them, but the meats do well on their own. All 3 sides were excellent, with the beans and corn delivering a nice little kick. This one is definitely worth making time to pay a visit. Don't be put off by the fact that it is drive-through only.

Amazing!!! Just happened by this place and loved it. The staff was very helpful and flexible with the menu (I have allergies to eggs, peanuts, and dairy). The meat is superb and you can tell it just came off one of the 10 or so smokers that they have in the back. The fries are out of this world amazing, though they are not your typical fries. Highly recommend it!

402 catered our Carson Days celebration and the food was outstanding! The smoked turkey was delicious, the pulled pork was juicy and flavorful. We loved the smoked bacon macaroni and cheese and the baked beans! 😋 Seriously great bbq and a huge assortment of sauces for whatever trips your trigger.

Yelp
This was my first visit to 402 BBQ. This is a drive-thru only restaurant. The vibe: Total hole-in-the-wall, like most excellent BBQ joints. Woodpiles and a collection of smokers out back attest that they take BBQ seriously. Some of the meats might not be ready when you visit; I wouldn't be surprised if others might have run out--again, evidence that they put cooking to perfection ahead of everything else. The meat: Smoky with a pinch of pepper. The meats were a bit dry (if eaten without sauce) but tasted great. The sauces: All of them, even the sweet bourbon, were fairly zesty and a bit too vinegary for my taste. I believe they're all homemade. The sides: Portions aren't teeny tiny like at most Omaha BBQ joints. We tried the street corn salad (mildly spicy and saucy) and cole slaw (crunchy, creamy, sweet/tangy). Price: This is some of the most economical BBQ in the city, especially considering the good quality.

Yelp
Delicious barbecue! I absolutely loved the burnt ends. Also tried a Cadillac and liked it! I'd definitely order again for a quick sandwich at a good price.

Yelp
We had 402 BBQ food truck today for our employee fun day, and I can tell you everyone was raving about the food. I had the Cadillac sandwich and the brisket was tender and flavorful and the Mac and cheese was packed of flavor! I wish I would have got that for a side so I had more haha. The side I chose was the street corn salad, it had a little spice and I was happy I picked that for my side! The food truck was clean and the people working it was very nice! I can't wait to take my family there, to have them experience the amazing experience I experienced today!

Yelp
Was on the search for something for lunch and I saw this place. Stopped thru for lunch! It's drive thru only. I tried the B-Rad sandwich. It had Brisket, Turkey and pulled pork on it. It came in hoagie bun, which I wasn't used to, but I think that's the way to go for a bun now. Haha. I got the sweet bourbon bbq, and that sandwich was so delicious. Very impressed ! I got a side of baked beans and they were great ! Had a good spice to it. Definitely want to try their Mac n cheese next. The customer service was awesome. The gal that took my order was sweet and made me feel like we knew each other. Loved my experience

Yelp
Several years ago (pre-covid) 402 BBQ was a regular food vendor at my workplace and I always especially enjoyed the smoked turkey with the Alabama white sauce. A Southern co-worker particularly enjoyed the white sauce because it's not that typical with barbeque fare around here. I recently learned that they have a drive thru permanent location near 84th & Center, a part of town I'm in frequently. My spouse who typically doesn't enjoy regular bbq flavor really liked the white sauce so I'm hoping to pay a visit soon. We really need to support our local small businesses like this one that have been really hurt by the past 3 years! From their website it seems like they work with Grubhub, Doordash, and provide catering services in addition to the drive thru and food truck. Food is great, the owner is super nice and I highly recommend. :)

Yelp
It was pretty good. I was craving some BBQ and drove through for a brisket sandwich. The brisket was tasty, but pretty dry. The small container of sauce wasn't enough for the generous portion of meat. Next time, I'll ask for it "wet" and see if they have that option with chopped-up brisket for a sandwich. Also, they had a lot of new and great-looking menu items that I wanted to try. For this trip, I just wanted brisket, though. Next time I'll add one of the new items, too.

Yelp
I got the Cadillac and my husband got a brisket sandwich. Both were lacking moisture and flavor. Not enough sauce is given for the sandwich and honestly the whole sandwich was just bland. They give you decent portion sizes and the potatoes/fries are really good. The service was fast and the lady was very kind. I probably won't be returning simply because the food wasn't worth the money spent.

Yelp
I run the Midas on 90th and Center and I ordered the b-rad ,Cadillac and pulled pork sandwich for the shop and they were delicious. I will be coming back and have told all my customers about this place. Awesome BBQ!!

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious! The bread was fresh and the meat was flavorful! The drive through service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
So far I have purchased food from here on three different occasions. I have been please. I do not think they give enough sauce, but it's okay usually because I have my own at home. I have paid extra to try all the sauces, but I felt even though the containers are only like a quarter - it was overwhelming because I have no idea which once I liked the best except I am not a fan of the white sauce or the mustard. I have tried three different sandwiches and have been pleased with them all. I am not a huge fan of the plastic containers they use as they keep the heat in and it makes the food a little extra soggy. This past week I tried the fried fries? which are new to their menu and oh man, so good. They are like these garlic/olive oil/rosemary potatoes that my mom makes and they are amazing!

Yelp
This is typical Midwest barbeque meaning the portions are small and the prices are high. Like most places in the Midwest the sides are worthless and you could get better sides out of a can at a grocery store. Hire cooks from the south and save this place.

Yelp
I went through drive-thru (the only option available) and asked the drive-thru person what they recommended as I hadn't been there before. The lady just told me that everything on the menu was available and evidently had no signature items to recommend to me. I picked out a sandwich that looked interesting and asked for a half lemonade and half unsweetened tea (Arnold Palmer) and the lady proceeded to list off all the different syrups I could add to that which I had to tell her twice twice that I didn't want. "So just an Arnold Palmer" "Yes." She asked what sauces I wanted, and I asked what are my options (once again I had never been there before) and I was redirected to the menu board. I asked what her favorite was and she liked something that was sweet, so I asked about the mustard based sauce which she said was spicy. I said I was okay with moderate spice, so she decided to give me the southwest sauce instead. So when I asked for help she was loathe to give it, but when not asked she put her decisions over mine. I made small talk with the lady in drive-thru and she talked as though she was the owner, mentioning opening another location with enough room for diners (even though this location had tables in it), but her personal customer service delivery was almost that of an old school truck stop waitress. Obnoxious and borderline rude. When I got where I was going and sat down to eat I thought the sandwich I got which had brisket, pulled pork, and Mac-n-Cheese on it was quite good, but the sauce she decided I should have was nothing more than slightly seasoned ketsup. After asking about the mustard based bbq sauce the extremely bland ketsup sauce I got was extremely disappointing. I ended up calling the restaurant to voice my extremely displeasure with the sauce, and got the same lady as in drive-thru. I gave her my review of the sauce and told her I would never recommend that to anyone who was serious about bbq, explaining that I was a long time restaurant professional and I knew what I was talking about. She ended the conversation with a "I'll look into it" and hung up. The sauce was bad, the customer service was worse.
