Trolley Car Station Is Now Open, With a ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Chef Running the Show [Updated] - Eater Philly

"Trolley Car Station just opened at West Philly’s revamped and renamed 40th Street Trolley Portal Gardens, with seats for 150 and breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. But opening chef Barbie Marshall, a two-time Hell’s Kitchen contestant, is already gone as executive chef. Marshall created the menu and hired the staff over the summer but left September 10, just a week in, citing other obligations with her catering and consulting business. The Trolley Car job, she says, wasn’t a good fit. Diners shouldn’t expect any disruption in service at the new restaurant." - Sarah Maiellano

Philadelphia Restaurants and Bars Opening Soon - Eater Philly

The 40th Street Trolley Portal is the absolute hub of public transportation for West Philadelphia. If you are visiting the area you will surely be passing through this roundabout as your trolley circles towards downtown or takes you away from the city and out to the suburbs. Each year it is shut down for several weeks for a thorough cleaning, making it a gem in SEPTA's crown.

Its a way to get to VA. I had one driver on 13 shut the door on me. Drivers need to be more friendly. Oh, you might have one driver who announces each stop.
