420 Restaurant is an exceptional culinary destination that truly stands among the very best places to dine in Prague. The food is an absolutely phenomenal symphony of flavours. Having visited many Michelin-starred and rosette restaurants, we can confidently say that this restaurant would stand proudly among them without hesitation. There was not a single flaw in any dish, despite the complexity and multiple components involved. Every plate was perfectly balanced, refined, and utterly delicious. The restaurant itself is spacious, immaculate, and beautifully designed, offering a top-class setting that enhances the entire dining experience. The staff are highly professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, with excellent presentation of each dish. Every member of the team spoke fluent English, which made the experience even more seamless. A special mention goes to Sebastian, whose friendly approach and warm smile made our evening particularly enjoyable 😉 All we can say is wow 👌 We will most definitely be returning to explore more of the menu. Nice decor and ambience, especially at night. The service was attentive without being overbearing and I like that they came to explain each dish as it was served. The food was good and quite rich/heavy. I didn't expect to be full when seeing the plates but by the end of the meal I was stuffed. That being said, for the price, it was by far our most expensive meal on our Prague trip and I expected to be a bit more "wowed". It was overall good food with good ingredients, but nothing exceptional. We came for a birthday meal and unfortunately the staff either didn't see this or didn't act upon the reservation notes. Even a simple candle with the dessert to make it a tad more special would have been appreciated.

Located in the heart of Prague, 420 offers a bold, modern take on traditional Czech cuisine. The main courses are satisfyingly heavy, featuring expertly prepared game like goose and venison, alongside unique organ meats. However, the standout for me was the semolina porridge dessert—a nostalgic, creamy delight that perfectly balances the meal. It’s a sophisticated yet hearty dining experience.

Absolutely delicious from start to finish. The servers were kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain each plate, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night, cozy yet refined. We tried the pork ribs with horseradish and the venison ragout, and for dessert, the Memories of Katowice…simply outstanding. Definitely on the expensive side, but we have no complaints and would highly recommend it for a special occasion.

honestly, of all the restaurant we've visited in Prague, that were absolutely spectacular (!), this was just sad compared to it. Service was attentive and did alright. The local red wine was lovely. Most restaurants in Prague give you their (whipped) butter and nice bread for free, here we had to pay extra. The food was overengineered, in my opinion, they were "all together all at once meals", lacking not a thing, but simplicity. The fish and cabbage soup was too strong, too heavy, too oniony, too fishy.The beef tongue in aspic? the 50s called and want their dish back. The char with the white wine sauce was good if you like salmony, fishy dishes, I liked the sauce and it had a nice overall presentation. The lamb with the sauce was alright. Maybe it's the Michelin hype, but this didn't feel particulary Czech, nor was it re-imagined interestingly. Maybe we ordered the "wrong" things, but it was mid at best. This was the most expensive meal I we had in Prague and also the most disappointing and underwhelming.

The starters were genuinely impressive, and the service at the beginning felt warm and attentive. The location is incredible, right across from the astronomical clock,but once you’re inside, there really isn’t much of a view to enjoy. Things went downhill with the mains. My beef goulash was so overwhelmingly rich(like most of the dishes) and sweet that I could only manage a couple of bites. When I mentioned this to the waiter, I didn’t get a replacement or even a suggestion for something else, which was disappointing. I ended up leaving most of the dish untouched—and honestly, I left the restaurant still hungry. You can easily find more traditional dishes with better flavour and much lower prices elsewhere. Here, it feels like you’re paying for the name, the chef, and the polished service rather than the food itself. Considering everything, it was too expensive for what you actually get. A strong start, but it just didn’t follow through where it mattered.

We visited 420 during our Prague itinerary and absolutely loved the experience. The atmosphere was amazing—beautifully decorated, stylish, and welcoming. The service was excellent as well: informative, attentive, and very well organized. The food was outstanding. The compost grape, roasted lion’s mane mushroom, local wine selection, and beef schnitzel were all delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Prague. It’s definitely worth a stop!
