New Casual Restaurant Provision Austin Opens in the Quarry - Eater Austin

"Provision is the new restaurant taking over comfort food spot Red’s Porch’s shuttered location in the Quarry at 4200 West Braker Lane, Suite B. The table-service restaurant with sports bar vibes is now open as of Wednesday, October 30. Co-owners chef Albert Gonzalez and Poeta Asher are looking to serve what they define as “approachable food” with a wide-ranging menu at their restaurant. This means items like beer-brined, twice-fried lollipop chicken wings served with buffalo sauce and blue cheese; farro bowls with braised beef, vegetables, kimchi, and a six-minute egg; and short rib quesadillas made with Oaxaca cheese. There are also family-style dishes. As for drinks, there’s beer, cocktails, wine, and cocktails, with an emphasis on low-proof and non-alcoholic options. The space features a dining room, bars inside and out, a covered patio, and plentiful television screens, as well as a big projection screen. Provision’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and then from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday." - Nadia Chaudhury
