Yelp
Dare I say... I might like Kin Nori over Sushi Den... bold statement but I was so impressed with everything I got. (Plus parking was so easy) I tried the *SEARED HALIBUT W/ GARLIC BUTTER & PONZU: so buttery soft with my favorite aburi flavor paired with their house made sauce... UNFORGETTABLE *JALAPEÑO YELLOWTAIL W/ YUZU SOY: beautiful thick cuts of yellow tail with thinly sliced jalapeños, well balanced *TEMAKI SEARED SCALLOPS: again I'm a sucker for a good sear, but it also had bursts of flavor and contrast from the fish roe and mayo They also have a special of the day menu that's not on the website. I got to try THEE SOFTEST otoro paired with caviar & fresh wasabi and A5 wagyu paired with truffles. These are what I would compare to being better than Sushi Den. No need to dip your dish in soy sauce here!! What a hidden gem, if you like quality sushi and friendly hosts please please try them out!

Yelp
Let me start by saying, this place is gorgeous. The aesthetic? Immaculate. Moody lighting, trendy colors, and vibes so good I briefly considered signing a lease and just moving in. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to take pictures of your water glass because everything looks good. Now onto the food. The sushi? Super fresh and plated like it's ready for its close-up on a Netflix food doc. The sashimi was flavorful, though a bit heavy-handed on the seasoning, as if the chef said, "Let's spice things up... literally." And while the sushi was delicious, the slices were so thin I considered offering mine a protein shake. For the prices, I expected at least a sushi grade cut (this was nobu school of cutting sushi). But let's talk service: it was... let's say, "leisurely." You will not be in and out. In fact, bring a book, maybe download a movie or two. I aged like a fine miso, but hey, at least I had time to fully soak in the ambiance and question all my life decisions. All in all, it's a solid spot if you're not in a rush, love aesthetics, and aren't afraid to wait a bit (or a lot) for beauty on a plate.

Yelp
Lovely spot, husband wife team work hard. The food is quite tasty. The spices are well used and creative. Temaki are delish, sashimi is good although little too much sauce / spices that it's hard to taste the actual fish. Alcohol list is great with a few Japanese beers and sake. Overall a good spot, albeit pricey with slices of fish that could be a bit more generous. Biggest draw back: it is SLOW. Good things come to those who wait but let's be honest, sometimes wait weighs in on the overall experience. Perhaps one more chef to expedite things?

Yelp
The sushi here was delicious and beautifully done. I loved the design of the restaurant with the bar surrounding the sushi prep area. The mural was gorgeous although I think that's left over from the previous tenant. Service was super friendly. The chef came over to help us at one point when the server/hostess was busy. About $80 per person with drinks, desserts, and tip. Very reasonable for such high quality food.

Yelp
Stopped in after a haircut next door at cedar, it wasn't busy in the late afternoon early eve which was really nice. I had Kin Nori Bar on my radar so it was a happy accident to be right next door. It was dark and chill which I loved. The menu is super minimal which is a good sign in my opinion. Everything I had was amazing, I was so impressed, the toro with caviar was a perfect bite and the unagi was so light and buttery! Everything was really fresh and high quality. The waitress was lovely and the chefs on display were amazing. I can't wait to come back again for a date night!

Yelp
EXCEPTIONAL !!!!!! Hands down the best sushi in Denver. If you've been to japan you will be floating on cloud 9. If, you love king soopers sushi or rolls stuffed with cream and fried, don't waste your time here. They're doing "real" sushi it was gratifying the thoughtfulness and craft of art in their preparations .

Yelp
Kin nori bar has definitely taken the spot for me as best sushi in Colorado. The quality of the rice, fish, seasoning (real wasabi!), and presentation is like something straight out of a New York or Tokyo omakase bar. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been to Michelin star sushi bars that weren't as good as this place. Their temaki (hand rolls) and nigiri are just perfect. Also a cool, chill vibe inside, bar only seating, very intimate. Don't miss this spot!

Yelp
The owners are so welcoming and the sushi is amazing. The menu is small but that's good because they do it so well!!

Yelp
Loved the space and the small menu. They did everything so well. Mainly bar seating, which I love but could be difficult for large groups. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Samantha N.

Yelp
Great addition to the neighborhood! Love the small menu and the complexity of the dishes while not being too overwhelming. Will definitely be back. Great service as well.

Yelp
Stopped in for a spontaneous quick lunch for some sushi we had been craving. Sushi was delicious and we cannot wait to come back and try more items from the menu. Cute and creative drinks that are alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Friendly staff and highly recommend!

Yelp
A friend and I were excited to meet up and try this place based upon reviews. While the offerings are limited, the fish seemed fresh. The trouble was service. We showed up at 7p for two. My friend was told we have to leave by 8p because they have reservations coming. The place was not full. We were reminded we needed to leave at 7:50. We scrambled to wrap up and left shortly after 8. At least 7-8 people left after us and while we stood outside talking, I witnessed one couple and a group of three enter the restaurant over the next 30-40 minutes. Where are all those reservations for which we had to leave? We are both clean cut, professional females. Probably won't go back. I would recommend that you advertise you are only by reservation and no walkins allowed. Good luck!

Lawrence T.

Yelp
If you enjoy quality sushi over quantity, you best try this place. They focus on providing the best quality sushi and service that you would not get anywhere else. The food is worth every single penny!

Yelp
Food so good we started planning a trip to Japan at the dinner. This hidden gem of a restaurant clearly makes the effort to source quality ingredients and present the finished product in an artistic manner. While pricey, the atmosphere and fine dining makes this restaurant an ideal place to revisit.

Yelp
The fish is incredibly fresh - don't miss the seared halibut with garlic butter and ponzu it's a stand out. Their nightly sushi specials are not only beyond delicious but presented like pieces of art. If you're a wasabi lover, be sure to ask for the fresh wasabi. It's a game changer. This is hands-down one of the best sushi restaurants in Denver.

Yelp
Best sushi in Denver!!! The quality of the food is amazing! Attention to detail and plating is well above sushi/temaki den. Unlike other places, we've been able to go on a whim and always have the best service, no waiting weeks for a reservation or waiting in line. This is my current favorite restaurant in Denver and have gone 10+ times, always fantastic! Definitely give it a try!

Yelp
My favorite place in Denver for sushi! Such a hidden gem. Wassa & Will are the best! They' always provide the freshest selections of fish daily along with amazing presentation while providing exceptional service every single time. Ambiance is super cozy. You'll keep coming back for more after you try it here once, I guarantee you! Always looking forward to coming here every single time! My personal favorites are the Japanese uni & salmon belly which always runs out quickly. Can't say enough things about this place!

Yelp
Absolute favorite spot for sushi in town. 10/10 experience would highly recommend Kin Nori to everyone!

Yelp
Awesome food, good service, and cool atmosphere. The susi is in credible and prepared as you sit at the bar and sip drinks. Love having this addition to our neighborhood!

Yelp
We've been here twice now for happy hour, the food is incredible and the service is super friendly. The nigiri pieces are really well prepared (with warm rice of course) and the 2 fancier rolls they have (the butter one and the spicy one) are amazing.

Yelp
One of (if not the) BEST sushi experiences I've ever had! Not only are the dishes very well prepared and clearly carefully curated, but the service is incredible. The set up is very cool as well, and you can watch all of your plates being prepared. The owners are also incredibly nice. All around a great experience. Will bring everyone who visits here, and would recommend this to anyone.

Yelp
Denver's newest and BEST hand roll/nigiri bar! The customer service is top tier from the sweetest husband and wife couple you've ever met. They are so passionate about their craft and it shines brightly with the highest quality seafood and excellently thought out toppings on each and every bite. If you're a nigiri connoisseur, look no further - this is your dream place to go to. Their menu is the perfect size in terms of options without being too overwhelming. They let the fish selection for the day speak for itself and every single bite you eat is refined to pure perfection for a mind blowing experience with each piece. Their omakase set and ingredients constantly rotate and it keeps me coming back to try all the new offerings! It is so worth it in value - 6 pieces of nigiri, miso soup with soft tofu, and a hand roll for $55-$65 depending on fish used. I have without a doubt found my new favorite sushi spot in Colorado. The ambiance is modern, clean, and casual yet refined. Straight A+++ across the board for freshness, quality, taste, and service!

Yelp
This is easily the best sushi in all of Denver. The owners are incredible people who take immense pride in the quality of their fish, drinks, and overall experience. Every detail--from the freshness of the ingredients to the thoughtful presentation--shows their dedication to excellence. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or just looking for an unforgettable meal, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Yelp
By far my new FAVORITE sushi spot in Denver! It's such a nice refreshing new concept compared to other sushi places. The fish was fresh and the sauces paired with each piece were phenomenal leaving you wanting for more. The owner was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and was so generous on offering samples for trying new items. I will definitely be back again!!

Yelp
Kin Nori is a true Gem Sushi Bar, offering the finest selection of fresh, high quality seafood expertly crafted by lovely couples. Each piece is a work of art - delicately balanced in flavor, texture and presentation. I love it So much. What an unforgettable divinely experience!

Yelp
Great spot in Berkeley. Husband and wife team dishing out kick-ass sushi in an inviting, chic atmosphere. Been a couple of times, got my favorites from the first visit, plus some new items from a rotating specials selection on my second. Everything was excellent. Wassa will help you figure out what's best for you. Welcome addition to the neighborhood. If you're looking for a new sushi spot that stands out from the crowd, go check them out.

Yelp
Words cannot describe how amazing the experience is. Michelin sushi Chef Will needs to be recognized for his skills. His wife is an incredible hostess and waitress! Service, food and atmosphere is the reason I will never go anywhere else for sushi. Nothing compares to this place! Highly recommend 12 out of 5!

Yelp
This is a local neighborhood venue with some great food. I enjoyed the prawn and crab temaki as well as the roll we ordered. The restaurant has an open atmosphere and service was pretty good, although we came early for dinner.

Nicole R.

Yelp
We loved this place. The yuzu ice cream is delicious. Highly recommend for an intimate evening.

Alex O.

Yelp
The best sushi I've had in Denver by far and my go-to spot. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Food and service is amazing and ambience is quiet, comfortable, and a perfect date night spot. The temaki is my favorite out of any sushi place I've had in Denver, but there is not one bad thing on the menu. 1000/10!!!

Kerysten M.

Yelp
This place has easily become one of my favorite places to dine and talk about! I can't get over how incredible the service is, presentation and overall friendly atmosphere. So good in fact that I recently went twice in one week. One evening was chefs select which featured such an amazing variety of fresh nigiri/sashimi that truly just melts in your mouth. My next visit I just had to go back to try their lunch bowls which are all the rave, did not disappoint, still thinking about it daily. If you want to support a young couple and a local business, I couldn't recommend a place more. Looking forward to bringing more friends and family to savor in this prime culinary experience and cannot wait to see what they have in store!!

Yelp
Best sushi ever the staff is so kind and explains every dish in detail and the chef puts so much effort and detail in what he prepares.

Erin L.

Yelp
This is a wonderful, inviting, & high quality sushi spot. The menu is simple yet filled with luxurious bites of sushi. Highlights: Hokkaido scallop, bluefin tuna, halibut, & yellowtail. Only critique for the restaurant is to make the miso soup more flavorful. The staff/owners are friendly & engaging. We look forward to returning!

Yelp
We just moved to the neighborhood and stumbled upon this spot tonight. Truly the best sushi I've had in Denver! The experience and atmosphere here is 10/10 and look forward to being a regular here.

Yelp
Sushi was delicious! Best spot in town for sure! Highly recommend. Good Japanese experience.

Kathleen G.

Yelp
Denver has a new authentic uber fresh traditional sushi bar! I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for uber fresh sushi. The menu is paired down but excellent and well priced for the high quality of the fish.

Samantha C.

Yelp
So delicious! We went for happy hour but enjoyed the whole menu. Fish is so fresh and such attention to detail. The bar area is cozy and stylish. Great date spot. We will definitely be back.

Karin S.

Yelp
This is the best sushi that I have ever had! I was in Denver visiting my son and his girlfriend and this is their 'go to' spot and now I know why. Each dish looked beautiful, came with a full explanation of what we were about to enjoy and most importantly was fresh and so delicious. Loved everything about Kin Nori Bar!

Garrett W.

Yelp
If you know sushi, you know that Uchi and Temaki Den are phenomenal. However, Kin Nori Bar is even a step above which is sooooo crazy to say. Never have I had sushi this fresh, tasty, or well prepared. Truly an experience and reasonable prices. Don't sleep on it, it's gonna be packed soon.

Natalie L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious. The sushi was fresh and practically melted in your mouth. We love hand rolls (temaki) and theirs were some of the best we have had. The service was also great and the atmosphere is intimate and fun. We'll be going here regularly.
