This is my second time living at 455 I after moving to another state, and I chose to return for several reasons—one of the most important being the exceptional service from Chris, the leasing agent, and the kindness of the concierge staff, especially Irvette. Before I moved back to D.C., Chris went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, setting up virtual tours and ensuring I found the perfect apartment. His patience, attentiveness, and dedication made my transition seamless, and I truly appreciate his efforts. During my move, I had my first interaction with Irvette over the phone when an important package was mistakenly sent to 455 I instead of my home in Vermont. Knowing it would be sitting in the package room for a month worried me, but Irvette was kind enough to secure it in my apartment with my permission. Since my return, her kindness has been unwavering—not only in handling packages but also in simply being a wonderful person to see each day. Her warm smile and positive energy make coming home that much better. On the weekends it always nice to have Mia around to greet you in the morning with a smile! Duran who works the evening shift is essential a concierge and king of the dogs. This man goes out of his way to not only greet us as residents but always makes time for greeting the dogs as well as ALWAYS getting the door for you when you just have to many packages in your hand Ultimately, the staff here make all the difference. Residents interact with them more than anyone else, and their hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. I am incredibly grateful for Chris, Irvette, and the rest of the team for making 455 I feel like home again.

This is an amazing place to live! The building is beautiful and the staff is amazing. Deron and Mea in particular are always so kind and helpful, they go out of their way to make sure us residents are well taken care of. Talking to them always brightens my day!

The staff at 455 Eye are all courteous, helpful, and highly professional. Chris in particular has been wonderful in helping me through the leasing process and in getting me acclimated with the building and its amenities. The building is in a convenient location in downtown DC and it is very well-maintained. Noise level is low and the community is very friendly. It's a real pleasure to live here. I strongly recommend this establishment for professionals looking to work in the area.

I’ve been living here since August 2024. The building is always very clean, odor free, never seen any pests or something left dirty. Even the trash rooms are kept clean. The apartments and the common areas are modern spacious and full of floor to ceiling windows providing good light. Also the apartments come “smart” and with new appliances and a/c units which significantly reduce the utilities. What makes this place even better is the great staff. Everyone here is great but especially Chris has helped me with the move in process and anything that has come along the way since then very professionally and he has always been willing to make everything work. Also Deron at the front desk is always eager to help out with any daily needs and treats everyone with positivity and friendliness while managing to maintain professionalism to the next level. I toured a lot of apartments all over DC and i hands down recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice place with nice people, surrounded by any stores one needs while also being very safe.

I lived at 455 I Street NW for a year, and it was a fantastic experience. Chris, the building manager, is incredibly attentive, welcoming, and helpful—seriously one of the best! The rest of the staff are just as great—always friendly and happy to help. I had an issue with a neighbor playing loud music, and the building handled it quickly and professionally, which I really appreciated. The building itself is very clean, and the location is amazing—there’s so much to do in the neighborhood. I’d recommend living here to anyone looking for a great spot in DC.

I have lived at 455 Eye for almost three years. The building is always spotless, the leasing team is very helpful and responsive (shoutout to Chris) and the concierge team is top notch (shoutout to Mea). Mea is extremely friendly, always there to greet you when you come in the front door and constantly goes above and beyond to make sure the residents are taken care of. I would definitely recommend 455 Eye to anyone looking for a great place to live.

Do not rent here. The only “functional” window in my expensive apartment was unable to be shut for 9 months and leaked heat and air conditioning out of the unit, causing increased expenses to my heating and air conditioning bills. The permanently slightly-open window faced an alley where multiple garbage trucks operated on a daily basis early in the morning, and was a much greater noise irritant than it would have been had I been able to shut the window. This was reported to management multiple times without being fixed over the span of 9 months. Management gave many excuses without solution. For the price of this apartment, I expect broken features to be fixed quickly. Stay away from this unresponsive management company.

Yelp
I've been at 455 Eye for almost 8 months, and I could not possibly be happier! First off, the staff at 455 Eye are absolutely superb, you will not find better. They make the residents a priority, they handle requests in a timely manner, everyone remembers your name, and goes the extra mile to really make you feel at home. Chris Hamilton in the leasing office took care of me when I first visited 455 Eye -- and he handled my every need, every step of the way through lease signing, moving in and then checking in on me after I moved in. He is exceptional at his job, and ensures that you are taken care of every single step of the way. The Concierge Team -- my goodness, these ladies are legit! The majority of my exchanges are with Antonia and Kim, both are incredible. They know your name, they know your animals name, they are personable, fun, funny and go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. They handle all of the packages with care, and ensure they are organized for pick up. The amenities are great, beautiful gym, rooftop pool, lounge area, study area, fire pit, etc. All are kept very tidy, and in great working condition. Lastly, 455 Eye is perfectly located. Near two Metro Stops, several bus stops, biking and walking distance to all the spots in DC. It's a great neighborhood, and on Saturday's from May through October there is a farmers market on I Street, right outside the building. It is just great. Its a nice quite street, that sits nestled in a bustling neighborhood. I love living at 455 Eye -- if you choose to live here, I know you will love it too!

Yelp
Nice Place to Live on Someone Else's Money. Just a few words of warning about this place. Even though the corporate entity got through the pandemic just fine without making the kinds of rent concessions I found in NYC, when renewal time 2022 rolled around, the leasing agents were giving verbals to people not to worry, the increases wouldn't be more than $150-200. And then the paperwork showed up from HQ with increases in the 14-18% range. People have been bailing since the beginning of the year or swapping for other apartments in the building that curiously, have the same views, more square footage and initial rents between $5 (yes, that's FIVE) and $25.00 more than last year's. Mind you, the leasing agents are soooooo attentive and friendly during initial negotiations but for renewals they roosterblock people from even looking at other apartments in the building, trying to pressure current tenants into just throwing up their hands and figuring out where to get the extra $628 per month. So there you have it: New Age Bait and Switch. Keep first year rents low and slug your tenants on the renewals. Sure, there are a certain percentage who will jump ship before the rats get to their entrails on the Year Five Renewal, but just as many who can't or won't face the hassle of looking for another place and schlepping their belongings around the city. Oh, and there's another approximately $100 per month separate from the rent that you'll be paying per occupant/per square foot for pest control/garbage/hot water. The entire experience is a bit like falling in love with someone who never cuts their toenails. You don't notice you're being sliced into small pieces until you have too much invested in the relationship.

Yelp
The building is beautiful and the amenities are exceptional. The staff is professional and welcoming. We look forward to exploring living options at this property in the coming months.

Yelp
My entire tour experience was very amazing! From the professional young man at the concierge desk to Chris in leasing! The entire experience experience was very professional and a positive tour. I toured 7 complexes yesterday and this was definitely one of the best tours I had. Chris was very professional and explained everything in great detail.

Yelp
We've been living at 455 Eye for less than a year. I will start with the Pros and end with the Cons. TL;DR: Great staff but too much noise and little lighting. Pros: Every staff member is extremely friendly and responsive - leasing office, concierge desk, maintenance and cleaning staff. They all go out of their way to make sure all residents feel welcome. The building is squeaky clean all the time, the gym is well equipped and almost always empty (love the Peloton bikes!) and the common areas have beautiful interior design. Cons: I am taking two stars off because of the noise level and lack of lighting. I will preface this by saying that our unit is back-facing so this issue may not be pertinent to those with their windows towards I Street. Every single morning we're woken up by loud trucks in the back of the building ranging from trash pickup to restaurant delivery trucks. They're extremely loud and the windows do a poor job at noise blocking despite being on a higher floor. There does not seem to be a set time for when and how often these trucks come by. I've heard trucks as early as 6am and as late as noon on both week days and weekends. This is the cost you pay for having so many shops and restaurants in the area, I guess. And working from home during a global pandemic makes the issue even more of a deal-breaker. The other issue that comes with having a back-facing unit is the lack of natural light. Our living room and bedroom are very dark all day long, and our plants haven't survived this. We had to add quite a few floor and desk lamps throughout the unit to get more lighting on because the apartment doesn't come with ceiling lights in either area. If I got to do it all over again, I definitely wouldn't rent this apartment, at least not with the location of our unit.

Yelp
We love living at 455 Eye. Coming from our previous apartment, noise floor to floor was a huge concern for us and this building is so quiet. We love the location and the building staff is wonderful.

Yelp
Incredibly unprofessional and shady practices. We scheduled a tour and expressed interest in specific units, out of nowhere immediately after communicating with the staff, the prices jumped only on the units we were interested in (it was the same day, I know prices fluctuate each day so this is not it). When we explained over the phone that we were no longer interested, the leasing agent ((LITERALLY)) hung up on us. Just watch out if you have been thinking about dealing with these rude crooks.

Yelp
Recently moved in at 455 Eye and my roommate and I are very happy! Chris and the rest of the staff have been extremely responsive and helpful in assisting us with the move in process. Love our unit, the building amenities and surrounding area. Would definitely recommend this building to anyone interested - Thank you Chris for all of your help!

Yelp
We lived at 455 Eye for two years, and loved every minute of it. The common areas are awesome, the decor hip, and the fitness room rarely crowded. Best of all, the people who work there made us feel like family. From Randy and Kelly on the front desk, to Kelsey making everything work, it was a tremendous chapter in our lives. Highly recommend...to everyone.

Yelp
I could not have asked for a better experience moving to DC from NYC last summer. Thank you to the staff of 455 Eye Street! You guys have made my transition to this city very smooth and I am very grateful for that. I just transferred apartments at 455 Eye to get some more space for me and my puppy, which the leasing team made very easy to do. This is a great building, beautiful amenities, super friendly and helpful staff and the other residents in the building making the experience very enjoyable. I am so happy with my decision to move here, and plan to be here for several years to come. A special thank you to Kelsey (Property Manager) and Pamela (Leasing Agent) for being so easy to deal with!

Yelp
I love these apartments. Everyone who works here that I've met so far has been super nice. The area is amazing, it's so close to everything. The neighbors I've met so far have been super nice. I have a really big dog so it was hard to find a place that would take him, but this place had no problems at all. I love everything about it here, all the way down to the wallpaper and the colors of the doors!
