Yelp
This weekend, I was celebrating a personal milestone and came in to dine alone. From start to finish, my server (Andreas) made sure that while I was a smaller reservation, I felt all the love! Bar Chinois - specifically Andreas, the restaurant manager, and their team (including a lovely lady I forgot the name of) made sure I had a wonderful experience, let alone how delicious the food was! I got the garlic noodles with chicken and the shrimp dumplings which were delicious and great portion sizes. The prices are fair for both food and drink -- I was pleasantly surprised that the cocktails were so reasonably priced for such high quality. They also surprised me with complimentary drinks and dessert -- still dreaming of their delicious chocolate cheesecake. Thank you for making me feel so special and welcomed. I could tell that this level of service was the service they gave to everyone around me, too. This was my first time dining here and I will absolutely be back. Thank you to you all for helping me celebrate. This meant so much to me!

Yelp
Bar Chinois is a must visit! Walking in was such a vibe, from the dim light and music... it was wonderful. Stopped by during restaurant week for dinner and our meal was so delicious. I enjoyed a Riviera Highball and Peak Bloom for my drinks. Both were tasty and refreshing for a summer evening. Coco B was a great server! For dessert, the matcha cheesecake was a delightful way to end the night. Will absolutely return.

Yelp
I struggle giving this place even three stars, but the service was fast. I went for happy hour on a weekday, and the place was packed. I am not sure why - even at 1/2 price drinks and dollar dumplings, I think you could find better food at a better price elsewhere. I had the veggie dumplings and another dish, both tasted like an ingredient had gone bad - maybe the ginger? The balance of flavors was quite strange too, and not pleasing to eat. The veggie dumplings were small and mushy. My server talked me out of the drink I wanted to order, and instead had a drink I really didn't like. I'm from out of town, so maybe my standards are higher, but I'm not sure why this place was recommended to me.

Yelp
I visited this location during restaurant week because they had a great deal and the dishes sounded interesting. I think overall I had a decent experience; the ambience really sold it for me- we had outdoor seating and there happened to be a band playing outdoor across the block. Appetizer - crab rangoon and pork bao buns. The crab Rangoon were pretty good would be great. if they had more stuffing but the pork buns were pretty oily and not that pillowy. Entrée - Char sui chicken and Garlic noodles with fried chicken. The garlic noodles with the fried chicken, were what we liked the most- super flavorful and filling (couldn't even finish it.) My smallest critique of it was that It was a bit monotonous but the char sui had a bunch of ingredients so I was able to grab a bite or two from that dish to even It out. Desserts - we got the matcha creme brulee (thought It was a mismatched mix of flavors, didn't love It and I typically love matcha everything) & chocolate cheesecake (solid!)

Yelp
Happy hour here was packed for good reasons. The drinks were good and the dumplings were also great. They were $1 dumplings but they only come in sets of 4. The chicken dumplings surprisingly has the best flavor. The spot is a step up from a casual restaurant and would be a cute date spot.

Yelp
I went here for happy hour, not realizing it was also Restaurant Week and had a great experience! The restaurant was packed, but thankfully we were able to sit outside. They have $1 dumplings during happy hour, so I had an order of veggie ones (I'm a pescatarian). The veggie dumplings were not my favorite, but my friend enjoyed her chicken and pork ones especially given the price. I also did the restaurant week $40 deal. The crab rangoon were delicious but my garlic noodles, which I asked for no mushrooms in, were a little dry. I realized they not only didn't give me mushrooms but also no spinach. They were tasty, would have definitely enjoyed them more with spinach! The drinks were tasty and the matcha crème brûlée was surprisingly one of my favorite bites. I am not a matcha girl, but this was well balanced and light. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Having just came back from two weeks in Asia, I have to admit that this wasn't exceptional but it's pretty good for DC standards. I came here for restaurant week several years ago and revisited this spot again yesterday with friends. Cocktails are 1/2 priced and dumplings are a dollar each during 5-7PM daily. The cocktails are really good and well worth the bucks. We split the dumplings and 2 mains amongst 3 people, and it's more than enough.

Yelp
Decided to take myself on a date and wanted to try something new so I went to Bar Chinois and let me tell you, I'm glad I did. It was a spontaneous night so I didn't have a reservation but luckily they availability and I was immediately sat upon entering. The restaurant isn't the biggest but it was a cute and quaint spot. They had the Instagramable LED neon signs, which we all love. For food, I got the pork dumplings as a starter and the Char Siu Chicken Rice bowl as my entree. Both dishes were to die for! Each dish was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I honesty think about the meal often, which means I will be returning very soon! 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
We sat at the bar for happy hour (Tu-Sun 5-7pm), and it was great. I got the peak bloom and maximilian and both drinks were delicious. The dumplings came out quickly and were pretty good too. Happy hour is 1/2 off drinks, and $1 dumplings (only pork, chicken or veggie; special dumplings do not apply). The bartender was also attentive and friendly. Definitely come early as it gets crowded quickly. I would come back again!

Yelp
Bar Chinois deserves all the hype it has been receiving! My friend and I ventured here for a post-networking event dinner and were ready to dive into the menu. With a unique fusion of Chinese and French, each dish on the menu sounded very tasty. The restaurant itself is a vibe! Dim lighting with red fluorescent accents that lit up the place as we walked to our table. Very swanky! To kick off the meal, we split the Crab Rangoons. Perfectly fried with a smooth blend of crab and cheese on the inside. I appreciated how the sauce was underneath the rangoons. For my entree, I got the 1970's Garlic Noodles with Shrimp. I absolutely LOVED this dish! The noodles were flavorful (not too chewy!) with pieces of garlic and Parmesan woven into each bite. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and didn't overpower the garlic flavors throughout the dish. We were served generous portions that gave us some lovely leftovers for the next day. Be sure to get this! The service was very speedy and helpful as we navigated the menu! It is difficult to get a table here, so be sure to make your reservations a few days ahead of time. Will most definitely be back for happy hour and dinners with friends in the future!

Yelp
Ambiance was nice and super popular spot; however, the food left a lot to be desired. The happy hour dumplings looked pretty but were very bland. Not much flavor in the meat filling. The crispy duck spring rolls were pretty good and same with the shu mai. The lu rao fan was not great. The pork belly was very dry, not much sauce and should use stickier rice. The matcha creme brulee was pretty good. Overall I'm happy that Bar Chinois is bringing Chinese style food to a large American audience but if you like this restaurant I would recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and finding something more authentic.

Yelp
Wow! Wow! Really good food and cocktails! Lived up to the expectation and deserving of star! Louis, our server and Manager were amazing as well as the bar back and servers worked in harmonic symphony! No wonder there was a line before 5p! It went pretty packed right away! Great wontons for happy hour and half priced amazing cocktails! 5 stars!

Yelp
Had a great experience dining here last night! Service was really quick and friendly, the food came out quickly and was delicious, and the prices were extremely reasonable (I was kinda surprise, that's rare for DC)! The restaurant is super vibey - dark mood lighting, every table filled, small tight space but big picture windows, and a huge bar! I'd definitely recommend coming here for a date night with a smaller group! They limit you to 90 minutes once you sit, so I'd suggest looking over the menu before arriving. I really loved the selection we went with. The dumplings were super flavorful, the chefs bbq sauce on the ribs was amazing, and the garlic noodles were incredible!

Yelp
Great food. Just perfect. It's a great meal and ambiance for meeting with colleagues after work. I don't live in DC, but I'll make a point to head here more often when I'm in town. Service was great, as well.

Yelp
Love love love! Best happy hour I've been to in DC. $1 dumplings and half priced cocktails. We ate many rounds of dumplings and they were all delicious. You have the option of chicken, pork or veggie for happy hour. I prefer steam over pan fried but you can choose either. Cute place, great ambiance. It gets SUPER crowded. Either make a reservation or go at a random time. The drinks were very sweet but tasty.

Yelp
For main dishes, I got the Lu Rou Fan, and being Taiwanese I was interested in trying this very common Taiwanese comfort food. Unfortunately it tasted nothing like Lu Rou Fan was supposed to taste, the pork belly was tough to chew in some parts, the sauce was overly sweet but also a bit tangy in a weird way, didn't really taste much of the five spice flavor. I think the recipes for the main dishes are trying too hard to appeal to modern DC crowds, and they're straying a bit too far from what the origins and core flavors of the dish. Not saying change or modernizing classic recipes is bad, but it needs to taste good for it to work. The dumplings however were a lot better than the main dishes: Haw Gow shrimp dumplings, Red Chili Wontons, Crab Rangoons, all really good and tasty choices. Plus they have their $1 dollar dumpling happy hour which I think is an excellent deal for these.

Yelp
Great happy hour ambience. They have half off cocktails and $1 dumplings. We were able to try a few cocktails. The panache cocktail was my favorite. This place was super packed on a Friday around 5:30 pm. Only advice would be to ask about the dumplings since there's only a few that are part of happy hour. The rest are regular price.
google avatar

Samantha V.

Yelp
My friends and I popped by for happy hour and my gosh, what a time! The dumplings are great and come out fast for dollar dumplings and each option is delicious! The drinks are strong and tasty as well! The service was great and while the inside was a bit loud, the patio was perfect!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was small plates and everything we had was really good. We went on a Thursday night and had a reservation. We were sat inside on time but there is a STRICT time limit to each table regardless if you want to order more items. We had about 20 minutes left and the waitress wouldn't let us order another cocktail. The space is very small and tables are close together so it can be loud and crammed. But the bar can get very packed so i still recommend doing a table reservation. I would return for the delicious food and try to come at a less busy time. There was a happy hour specials menu as well.

Yelp
Such a fun spot to have dinner with friends! This place is definitely crowded on a weekend night and I really like the vibes, it's super fun. The food was delicious, and I tried the chicken and vegetable dumplings, although I liked both, I would say that I liked the vegetable dumplings a little bit better and I liked the fried version over the steamed version! I also tried the garlic noodles and I really loved those. I could definitely have eaten the whole bowl because they were so delicious and the serving size honestly wasn't that big but it was still good to share! This place is great and I would totally be back.

Yelp
Maybe my expectations were too high considering all the positive reviews, but my friend and I left confused as to why people love this place so much. We had an early evening reservation and since it was a fairly stuffy evening, we opted to sit inside even though they do offer outdoor seating as well. We were seated at a table between two other tables. When asked if we could sit at a corner table, we were told that there was a group arriving in under an hour that they would need to use that table for. Firstly, it was another 2-people table and they wouldn't be able to connect other tables to it since there was a barrier on the side. Secondly, we were there for about 1.5 hours and there was no group seated nor waiting to be seated. I guess they just didn't want us to be comfortable. Oh well! We tried a few food items: shrimp bao, chicken dumplings, har gow dumplings and char siu chicken rice. The food was just alright, not terrible, but definitely nothing to write home about either. I have had better bao buns for less the cost. I also had one drink - the dorsia and it did not hit the spot! Before anyone tires to justify that it's because mezcal is an acquired taste, I always drink mezcal based cocktails. Good thing, I got it for the happy hour price. Overall, even though we didn't hate our experience, we see no reason to go back either.

Yelp
Chic bar in Northwest, DC. They are offering specialty cocktails half priced and dollar dumplings from 5 to 7 every Tuesday through Sunday. So you know, I had to show up for the deals!! The dumplings included pork, vegetable and chicken I particularly liked the pork dumpling the best. I wish they provided more dipping sauce. -four dumplings. Come per order. Yes, we ate 12 dumplings. The ribs were my favorite. Tender and saucy reminded me of the Chinese ribs you can get at the carryout. The salt and pepper shrimp needed a bit more seasoning and I would have like a dipping sauce with them, maybe a sweet-and-sour sauce... The garlic noodles are often talked about so I decided to get those as well and was not disappointed. The specialty cocktails were also a very flavorful and truly artistic. It was super busy, so it's easy for one, and or server to get flustered and forget about you. At the bar and or at a table but, there's nothing wrong with flagging down a person if you need service and also the service industry is under staff at the moment so we have to be understanding. Overall, it's a great place for happy hour. Super inexpensive chow down on a budget.

Yelp
We were recommended this area for dinner and we absolutely loved it! We made it in time for happy hour dumplings so we were able to enjoy them along with half priced off cocktails. I tried both the Au Pear Affair and Chinois Mule cocktails and they were delicious! My friend loved the Maximilian as well. You can't go wrong with the cocktails at Bat Chinois!

Yelp
Was here for the drag brunch show. A fairly small restaurant with great ambiance. It was a full house for the show, but I'm not sure how crowded it typically is. I gave it a 3 star rating because I was not impressed with the food. It was mediocre Asian food and pricey at that.

Yelp
dolla dumplings? I repeatt dolla dumplings at - guess how many we ate. actually guess how many. okay fine I'll tell you. we got 7 servings of 4. 28 dumplings. - I heard you can get steamed or fried but this is false, all are steamed! the pork dumplings were served piping hot and a little doughey. they were thick and meaty and wonderful. - chicken was much more flavorless and less doughy, veggie was great and a good refreshing bite between the meat dumplings. - the peak bloom drink was stunning as you can see. this is no shade at all to the drink because it tasted good but we decided it had a slight Gatorade taste, took us so long to put our finger on it. - the panache gin drink tasted like a spiked fizzy beer, it was honestly good and had much more alcohol than the other drink. mules were solid and enjoyed. - 28 frickin dumplings and 5 drinks total for $68. boom.

Yelp
We came to Bar Chinois on a whim after running errands in the area and were able to be seated without a reservation. When we arrived around 2pm we were told they were doing brunch still which was a great surprise if you are interested in bottomless mimosas at a later time compared to other places. For drinks we got the Riviera Highball and the Peak Bloom. Both drinks were great and had a good balance. For food we got the red chili wontons, pork dumplings, crab rangoon, pork belly bao, crispy shrimp bao, and the chicken curry rice. While it all was delicious I would definitely recommend the crab rangoon, red chili wontons, and the pork belly bao. Everything came out as they were prepared versus all together, which we appreciated. It ensure our food was hot and fresh as each place was ready. For dessert we tried the french vanilla profiteroles. Highly recommend trying this place out.

Yelp
I went for happy hour and the deal is amazing! It's half off their cocktails which is a crazy deal considering they're all around $17 and premium. They also had $4/4pc dumplings and we also ordered their rice bowls which were all very good. I'd go back! The service was also great!
google avatar

Alice L.

Yelp
I've been here twice and while I have nothing bad to say about the service, the food has always fallen a bit flat for me especially given the high price point. The presentation of the food is great but I'm not wowed by the flavors. The spicy dumplings I got were ok but I feel like I could've gotten something very similar in taste for cheaper from a restaurant in Chinatown. I would only come back again for the happy hour. They have an outdoor seating area which is nice for post work drinks.

Yelp
Very great restaurant. Street parking available, garages in area Loud setting Good & personal service Ribs were tender with a tasty sauce The shrimp was cooked well but could've used sauce The mocktails were tasty and only $5. I got gingerbeer, pineapple and sprite The bbq chicken fried rice was so good. Tangy but grounded finish on the protein, with a great supporting cast in the bowl along with the chicken & rice Heard from friends that the crab Rangoon and dumplings were delicious! The matcha crème brûlée was rich, creamy & delicious 11/10 for food and not too expensive Ambiance was loud but great lighting and tone

Yelp
I came here for the first time with a couple of girl friends for their happy hour and left thoroughly unimpressed. If the westernization and appropriation of Chinese culture and cuisine at this restaurant wasn't bad enough on its own, it certainly had a major negative impact on the food as well. The pork dumplings literally had nothing else in them but unseasoned pork, and the vegetable dumplings tasted like they threw a bunch of random greens in them that don't go together. There's no reason for dumplings to ever have whole edamame in them, by the way. The drinks aka the main point of our visit also left a lot to be desired. I'm a huge proponent of fun and strong cocktails, but the highly-recommended Maximilian and Peak Bloom both tasted cheap and inedible. The black lime salt did not do the margarita mix any favors and the latter tasted like straight perfume. The only reason I am adding an extra star is because our waiter was perfectly lovely. He was super attentive and helpful, even being very concerned about the bug bites that our fellow outdoor diners and us were receiving. Otherwise, I will not be patronizing this place or any other restaurant that charades Asian cuisine without doing it any justice.

Yelp
Ive visited three times in 2 weeks! Food Service and ambiance are all on point! 1/2 off drinks for happy hour!! enjoyed their garlic noodles so much that all three times but will be try something else next time I visit because there will be definitely be a next time!

Yelp
I visited bar chinois with friends before a concert at capital one arena. It's about a 5 minute walk from the venue. We came around happy hour which they had a fantastic deal 1/2 off all cocktails. The cocktails were delicious and for around $7-$9 a drink before a concert you can't beat that deal. We got lucky and snagged a few seats at the bar. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We also had their dollar dumplings which were very thick and pretty juicy. We only tried their chicken and pork ones. My friend also wanted to try their garlic noodles which were also very yummy and filled with umami. It does get packed in there the closer happy hour ends so if you can get there early I highly recommend.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of their happy hour! It's Tu-Sat 5-7p, Sun 3-5p: 1/2 cocktails, $1 dumplings (comes in 4s, 3 options). The chili karaage and pork belly bao were excellent additions to round out the meal. Our friends got the crispy shrimp bao and loved them, too. I have my eyes on the garlic noodles, they look delicious - next time! The space is modern, think dark space, metal tall chairs, and very loud. Service was awesome, she checked on us frequently. The day we went was also ungodly hot inside but I'm sure it's better during the rest of the year. Highly recommend, I'll be back!

Yelp
Came for the happy hour and was not disappointed! The deal is $1 dumplings and 1/2 cocktails. The bar can get quite busy so I highly recommend coming earlier rather towards the end. The bartender wasn't super friendly but was efficient. The dumplings were really good - 4 per order and well filled. We liked the veggie the best, followed by the pork and chicken. The chicken was a bit bland and they didn't offer any chili oil. Drinks were good! Definitely a steal for their happy hour price. Their booze forward drinks are spirit heavy for sure! Already excited for my next trip here - and I want to try the rest of the non-happy hour menu.

Yelp
Came here for my sisters birthday and had a wonderful brunch! We had the pleasure of having a very attentive waitress Maya, she checked on us throughout our meal and communicated with us regarding any questions or concerns. She was so pleasant and the food was delicious. I hope to come back for the drag brunch

Yelp
One of the best happy hour deals in the city!! Could not recommend this place enough! The space is small enough to have an intimate atmosphere yet full enough to enjoy a couple of cocktails on a week night! Server was quick and attentive, we never felt like we were waiting too long for anything! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place because the reviews and looks gave me NYC vibes. It's a cute bar with patio space. If you do not like noise, then this place is not for you. It's loud and bustling, and unfortunately the service fell flat which I'll explain later in the review. We ordered cocktails/mocktails, garlic noodles, pork dumplings, chili karaage and crispy shrimp bao. The drinks were not particularly impressive overly sweet was a theme when they were supposed to be spicy. The garlic noodles with shrimp were easily the best dish of the night - well balanced and flavorful, we ordered another bowl. The pork soup dumplings were not special and honestly the ones I purchase from Trader Joe's frozen food section are better. The broth was unfortunately bland. The chili karaage (fried chicken) recommended to us was the worst dish of the night. The flavor profile was off, the sauce was bitter and salty and the chicken was overly fatty, I do not even know what was going on with that dish. Lastly, the order for our crispy shrimp bao was forgotten and only acknowledged after we sat for 15minutes and asked about it. Another 10 minutes went by and we asked for the check to leave. The waitress apologized and brought us the check and then the order for the bao came up and they comp'd it for the inconvenience. It was a light delicious bite with shrimp, cucumber, chili oil, and siracha mayo. Overall, this place probably serves better as a happy hour spot for quick bites than to have a sit down date night.

Yelp
The ambiance is that of a bar, so it's aptly named. If you want lower key dining, consider an outdoor seating area. The interior is moderately loud and half of the seats are at the bar or closely against it. The service is great, but the food leaves something to be desired. As someone who frequently eats Asian cuisine, I left this place feeling underwhelmed and uncomfortable with how much butter and oil was added to the entrees and dim sum. The dishes lacked umami and salt, and were all a touch too sweet. Odd flavor combination. I would not dine here again, but can't speak for the quality of the cocktails. They may be worth a try.

Yelp
Trendy vibe. Delicious cocktails which were 1/2 off for HH and $1 dumplings for HH-- what's not to like?! Definitely recommend a reservation-- I think a bar experience would be incredible! Loved the Peak Bloom. :) The presentation is lovely and the taste is just on the money. You get your choice of steamed or fried dumplings. My friend and I enjoyed the chicken ones. We tried the veggie too, but they fall apart! We also had the chili karaage which was basically fried chicken in a good sauce. We asked for some hot chili oil. They also gave us Sriracha. Just for a kick! We also tried the salmon and rice which was fair. Shumai were yummmyyyy! I'll definitely be back for HH!!

Yelp
First time trying this spot and it was so cute inside! Dimly lit and really cute for a date night. However, there were four of us girlfriends so we sat outside on the patio since the weather was nice. We made it in time for the last 10 minutes of happy hour so we ordered all the dumplings lol! Those were a good start! Two of us got the char siu chicken with rice and it was so good! My other friend got the garlic noodles and she loved them so much that she already wants to go back lol. The last friend got the salmon and I believe she liked it as well. The drinks and mocktails were also yummy. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
After seeing @the.belist DC happy hour list and @adorkandherfork reel @barchinoisdc was a place I had to try!! @vvvvanessa15 and I took advantage of their happy hour. With the $1 dumplings and 1/2 priced cocktails there were no misses but please if you go add the crab rangoons we were both super surprised and pleased. Please make a reservation for happy hour and this would be a great spot for a cute little pregame before the main event!!! HH: Tues-Sun 5:00-7:00pm. Foods Ordered: Crab Rangoons Red Chili Wontons Crispy Shrimp Bao 1970's Garlic Noodles Restaurant: @barchinoisdc Food: 8.7/10 Atmosphere: Moody, packed and dimly lit. Yelp
On my latest visit here, I'm honestly impressed by the quality of the drinks and the food, and especially the drinks. All the cocktails were mixed really well and they taste great. Very balanced. The dumplings were also on another level. Our server recommended the pork dumplings to be fried and it was so good. They made sure although it was fried, it was not oily. Additionally, I finally tried their garlic noodles and ribs. They were all so delicious. The ambiance is always so nice so Manhattan. The profiteroles were fine but interested to try other dessert. You gotta know what to order here (in terms of food). If they keep making good cocktails, I plan to come here more often!

Yelp
We came here with a party of 4 on a Saturday around 5:30pm. Make sure to make a reservation- the place was busy! We loved the decor inside. The tables are well spaced so you don't feel elbow to elbow with the table over. They have happy hour from 5-7 with half off drinks and $1 dumplings so the party started with some of those. The drinks were all great! Very creative and delicious. The dumplings were great too - juicy and well steamed. We also got the pork jelly bao which was amazing but maybe a little expensive at $5 a pop. The chicken kaarage is quite spicy! Just a warning for people not great with spice. Thankfully our table was okay with it. Also got the crab Rangoon which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. One of us got the garlic noodles with tofu which were okay - the tofu wasn't seasoned at all and the noodles were quite dry. Overall, great experience for happy hour. Would recommend for good Asian food!

Yelp
Overall solid ok food with good ambiance (3.5 rating). We ordered the spicy wontons, the cucumber, the Lu rou fan, the chicken rice, and crab Rangoon. Spicy wontons were good, packed w meat, and had good heat to them. The cucumbers were refreshing but I wish they were a bit crisper. The Lu rou fan was ok, wish there was more sauce to coat the rice but the flavor was good. I personally didn't like the chicken but I chalk that up to not enjoying a particular taste not to the quality of the food. The crab Rangoon was actually quite good and this is coming from someone who doesn't like crab Rangoon. The shell was crispy and the ratio of filling to shell was great.

Yelp
Happy hour specials that include half-priced cocktails and $1 dumplings from 5-7pm Tuesday through Saturday. So naturally I tried the Steamed Pork Dumplings and I had the garlic noodles. I this this restaurant was so cute and kind of tucked away a little. My server was great at explaining everything to me and the drinks were simple, but good. I think this place is great for a quick bite to eat, because I was kind of still hungry afterwards. I also think this restaurant Chinese restaurant with French inspiration, which I didn't understand the connection, but maybe there are more items that meet the fusion definition that I didn't try yet!

Yelp
Such a limited menu, that if there are 4 of you, you can pretty much try every thing. We had about 10-12 items between us and everything was excellent and served fresh and hot! Looking at the menu, the items are pretty much what you'd expect at most small plate/dim sum places, but I think the taste of everything was excellent. Service was very friendly even when they were very busy, and we got our food pretty quickly. Ambiance - It was a bit loud in there, not the music, but the people. Which means they are having fun, right? The place has a bar vibe to it so we expected that. I'm sure it turns into a fun place after hours too. Will return for sure!

Yelp
Wonderful food and drinks! We got 90 mins for 4 people which worked perfectly because they moved so quickly the food and drinks were out asap. Loved the alcohol forward drinks and the happy hour deal was amazing with half off drinks and $1 dumplings.

Yelp
What a fun spot for happy hour! They offer half priced cocktails from 5 - 7 on Tuesday through Sunday. But what really got me was the fact that they have dumplings for ONE DOLLAR during happy hour. Imagine enjoying your half priced cocktails and just being surrounded by hot, steamed dumplings for $1 - it is glorious. I will say, this spot gets packed for happy hour so you definitely want to show up early or be ready to be cramped. There is a good amount of bar seating, and some standing room with a bar top so you can enjoy the dumplings. I ordered the Maximilian cocktail which has Milagro Silver Tequila,Chinola, mango, honey, and salt. I also had a dirty martini which was delicious. Overall, a solid spot with good ambiance during those post work vibes.

Yelp
This place was so good! I happened to find this place while traveling, and this restaurant came up in my recommendations. They both have outside and inside eating. I happened to sit outside because the inside was full, but it was still nice while enjoying the outside food. The service was great, and my server made sure to be attentive and stayed on top of everything. The food was very delicious, and the garlic noodles became my new favorite. The next time I come back, I'll have to pay them a visit again.
