To find a place that can provide gluten free for me and dairy free for my husband, a gem! The food was really good. We had a nice lunch experience here. The spinach apple cranberry salad was big and we shared it. Each of us got a pizza for our needs. Both pizzas were excellent. The gluten free crust was really good! And had a little fun at the pinball machines. The alcohol corner looks nice with lots of choices. We just didn't feel like having any alcohol with lunch. On a nice day, the outdoor back seating could be really nice. Had to share the funny bathroom signs, yes, please wash your hands! 😂🤣

Generally like their food but consistency is not great. Saturday evening the pizza was burnt and inedible. Not only that but the bubbles were so big the toppings slid off entire slices. This should have been remade before it ever left the kitchen. Not shown is another pizza which was missing half the toppings (nothing special just menu-listed pies).

Delicious chicken pesto sandwich, quality crusty bread, plenty of pesto. Excellent taplist of craft beers available plus cans beers as well, also available to go. Friendly service. Pizzas looked tasty. Off street parking can be an issue.

Google
The pizza and garlic knots were absolutely delicious—soft, flavorful, and I would definitely recommend! The marinara sauce had great flavor, though it was served cold, which was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, the pesto was a major letdown; we usually love pesto, but this one was bitter, soggy, and lacked flavor. The service was also on the slower side. Despite that, we still had a good overall experience.

Stopped here with my family while visiting. As far as vegan pizza goes this was pretty dang good. Great pizzeria with a neat atmosphere.

I just had a large birthday get together here today for lunch with about 25 people! I can’t say enough how great this place is. I gave them a heads up that we were coming and they were so easy to work with. Every staff member was super nice and not at all annoyed with us doing birthday things. They have an amazing selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The vegan wings are top notch. There are so many more pizza flavors I want to try. We will definitely be coming back more. Thank you 48 North!!

I came in with an old co-worker for lunch on a Tuesday the week of Thanksgiving so I may have received above average service. My co-worker also recommended it as she eats vegetarian and had been there a few times already. There's 2 businesses inside the building. The pizza joint on one side and the bar/taps/2-beverage cooler business on the other. We ordered the jalapeno poppers, fried mushroom and vegan wings. All were delicious and order was taken and delivered by the owner. He mentioned they have music in here on Friday and Saturday nights. The bar has as dozen or so taps of varied beer, cider, etc. The owner was there on this side too and offered me tasters of anything I wanted. Plenty of seating during lunch mid week. I'm going to come back with my wife and son and give the pizza a try as well. Very much enjoyed it. Felt like it was 2 owners trying to make it work. We'll see how it goes. Edit: Came back a couple weeks later for the pizza, jalapeno poppers, beer, and live music for a date night with my wife. Had a great time.

Google
Bomb pizza! Super excited to see vegan options, which were delicious. Perfect crust as well!

Yelp
Great, spacious and relaxed atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Had the gluten-free crust pizza: 1/2 Hawaiian BBQ Chicken (great flavor) and 1/2 Chicken Alfredo (solid but subtle). The gluten-free crust was surprisingly thicker and hearty. Lots (and I mean lots!) of Vegan options for those inclined.

Yelp
We came here after we played tennis nearby. There's literally something for everyone. My friend and I were looking forward to the vegan options, another friend is gluten free and my sister is good with all the options! Parking is on the street and we had no issues parking. We went inside to place our order, given a number for our table. We opted to eat outside since it was lovely out. I noticed they had a space outside the back door that was more private too. I got vegan BBQ wings and they were tasty. I got vegan garlic knots also to share. My friend got a spicy vegan sausage pizza that I tried a little of, and yep, it's spicy! The server was very friendly. The inside of the restaurant was spacious with pinball machines. The only thing, there weren't any vegan desserts. My sister ordered a sticky bun thing, it looked tasty. While we were outside waiting for our order to be brought out, my sister wondered where her sticky bun was. When server came out to bring some of our order, my sister asked, and the server was like, oh yeah you ordered that! She brought out a brownie with white frosting and sprinkles. My sister was confused and I told her to take it inside. She said it was fine. She took it home and took a bite and didn't like it. But her husband and his brother loved it. So it worked out in the end. I definitely want to go back and try out other menu items!

Yelp
Well there isn't a lot in John's Landing... so this is your spot if you want a non McMenamins option. That being said, the pizza slices are reasonably priced and decent in size. They have a rotating special that varies each day. The bathrooms are clean and the outdoor patio is quite expansive. I enjoy the pinball machine that they have and the tap list is pretty legit. The service isn't fast but it's courteous. It's the right cadence for a casual meal when you aren't in a rush. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood. It's comfy like a good pair of shoes while feeling like a place that's unique and undeniably familiar.

Yelp
Favorite Pizza spot in Pdx for pizza! The pizza is a great size for the price AND everything is so fresh tasting. The Oreo pizza is also a must when you go, The Pizza place itself is so cool to be inside. Everyone is always so sweet/polite when we go! Definitely recommend this place for any pizza lovers

Yelp
I think we made a mistake and did not order pizza. I had a dried out meatball sandwich and my girlfriend had a bland vegan sandwich. The meatballs are tiny, dried out and literally no flavor. Guess they forgot the "fresh basil" and opted for dried Italian herbs that was sprinkled way too liberally on everything. The salad also was not good. Just wilted kale that was not massaged and again sprinkled with way too much Italian seasoning. Also the meals came with bagged tortilla chips and some salsa. We can't figure out what meals would even go with chips and salsa. Hard pass on this place.

Yelp
We order the food to be delivered so I cannot speak to the ambiance or friendliness of the staff. We ordered the Pepperoni Sausage Stromboli, 1/2 Vegetarian Pizza 1/2 Beef & Mushroom Pizza, 1/2 Pepperoni Pizza 1/2 Pineapple Pizza and Garden Salad. The pizzas were done very well with lots of toppings, not soggy crust, minimal grease and great taste. The salad was good, pretty basic. Looking forward to visiting in person

Yelp
Swung by on a whim to pick up a pizza for our Super Bowl party. The gal who got me my pie was super friendly, and the space looked cool, with a funky basement party room vibe, but better lighting. There's a bunch of TVs on the wall and a bar in back, and I guess they share the space with Integrity Brewing. Anyway, the pizza was a delightful, hand-tossed Margherita with a nice crisp crust (but not thin) and lots of nicely seasoned sauce and a good cheese ratio. Definitely not Dominos! And it was a hit with our group. 48 looks like a cool place to hang - a cross between a restaurant and a pub, so I'll have to come back and check the in-house experience another time.

Yelp
We came here because an artist we like was performing there. I would call this a pizza, music, bar vibe. I think the owners told us they recently purchased the building next door to put in a bar? That will be cool. It is walk up, order, go sit down with a number and they bring your food to you. Part of our [large] order didn't come, so they immediately made it (I think they forgot) - quickly for me. Overall we enjoyed the pizza, stromboli (this is a meal - too big for an appetizer! LOL) and salads. It's also a nice touch that they have live music, with a stage. They also do takeout if you're not into community tables, or louder environments.

Yelp
I ordered the vegan greek pizza for to go and thought it was delicious! I love how filling and flavorful the pizza was and can't wait to try other things on the menu.

Yelp
Another yummy experience at 48 north pizzeria. The staff always make me feel welcomed, my preferences are always catered to (esp being vegan), and I loved the delight I was given during my last visit.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
I'm surprised I haven't written a review before. All the staff are super nice, and the Stromboli are always solid. Tried the kale arugula salad as an accompaniment today, and it was bright with acidity which jives well with my palate. I like the broad range of veggie and vegan options mostly because I love lots of veggies. I don't think I've ever had the pizza, sandwiches, pr pastas yet so more room for me to explore! I think they are the perfect food match for their cohabitator, Integrity Beer, and have something for everyone!

Yelp
We're from L.A. and love going to Portland. The BBQ chicken pizza was the best we ever had. The wings were also good. The live band made it feel like a small town vibe. The cold beer was even better. They have local draft beers. Service was excellent. Nice atmosphere. It was raining that day and it made it even more special for us since we love the rain . I'm not kidding we've flown out to Portland from L.A. just for the pizza, hit the outlets to kill time and head back to L.A. when we can't stay a week which is usually what we do. Trust me it's worth it.

Yelp
Stoped by for lunch with a friend. There was hardly anyone in there and yet the service was really slow. We ordered at the counter and then had to painfully watch our pizza get cold in the window for 5+ minutes. With that being said, the pizza was really good. It's a good spot for a casual lunch, nothing too fancy.

Yelp
Good food and beer. Excellent service people and super friendly. I can't wait to go back

Yelp
Seriously soo good!!! I could not stop eating ! the fresh pesto is beyond amazing and the ranch is delicious. I ordered a veggie pizza , pepperoni pizza, BBQ Hawaiian and garlic knots. Everything was perfect . Thank you for giving my family an outstanding dinner.

Yelp
I love everything about this welcoming neighborhood space and their excellent food! 48 North is a beloved contribution to a neighborhood in need of an airy, lively gathering spot. I've never been disappointed in their food or service - dine in or take out. I can eat the pizza for days, the Caesar salad is exceptional, and the quality is consistently high. Weekday deals are actually deals.

Yelp
Loved this place! Great pizza, service & atmosphere. Live music last night was great! My Buffalo wing pizza as delicious.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza has come to John's Landing!! Love the match up with integrity beer hall. Great food and great cocktails all in one place.

Betsy L.

Yelp
The pizza is AMAZING ! The atmosphere is Portland cool The beer selection is pretty extensive as well

Yelp
We got a dry cider and a kolsch. The kolsch has legs (leaves a foam up the glass) because the cup is unclean. The glass my cider was served in has a very obvious crack in it. I would come back for something from a can or bottle. The pizza served here is fine, nothing to write home about.

Yelp
Great pizza and other options that are always good with pizza. They have live shows that always keep a good environment. Super friendly staff

Yelp
This is a great neighborhood spot! Friendly staff:) Garlic knots are great, super soft. Meatball sub is simple, but tasty. That Buffalo Chicken Fettuccine is crazy good. Shredded chicken and perfectly cooked noodles in a decadent creamy buffalo sauce. It's super rich and perfectly spicy. 48 North is a good staple restaurant for comfort food. Haven't tried the pizza but they have some awesome looking options and I'll definitely check them out next time!

Yelp
Music was great on a Saturday night. Pizza was VERY disappointing, the chicken wings were so fatty and gristly- not even sure if it was chicken. I ate one and threw the rest out. They were maybe the worst chicken wings I've ever had. Beer and cocktail selections were mid. Rickety seating. Overall disappointing.

Yelp
The vegan pizza is really good, even compared to other vegan pizza places in town. They have a large vegan menu. Looking forward to eating here again.

Yelp
The adults had a vegan supreme and couldn't tell that it was vegan. Also try the seasonal which was peach in our case. Both were delicious. Also a vibrant atmosphere which we enjoyed.

Yelp
The bartender, Chris, is awesome and made my overall experience. He was charismatic, had great energy, and made killer drinks!

Yelp
Great big salads and a terrific pizza. We sat in the back and played games while some blues played indoors.

Yelp
My baby is in the hospital at OHSU and we are staying at the Ronald McDonald house. My daughter and I ordered DoorDash from here and it was SO good! When my husband came to town we told him he had to try this place so we decided to go in person. It did not disappoint and it is by far the best pizza we have had since moving to Oregon over a year ago! The staff was amazing and so nice to talk to while we waited for our food. The pizza was delicious! We also tried the garlic knots, cheese curds, and dessert. The Garlic knots were not overly garlic and were really good with the marinara sauce. The cheese curds hit the spot and we devoured them in minutes! I was so full that I didn't try the dessert but my husband and daughter loved it! We can't wait to go back here!! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Had a great experience. Service and pizza were amazing. Cool atmosphere. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Portland

Yelp
We got our food to go so I cannot comment on ambiance. However, our pizza was super good! Classic pepperoni, some basically perfectly. No gross burnt concave pepperonis.

Nabil N.

Yelp
we tried this place for the first time and were fabulously disappointed. You order and pay upfront, and they flip the screen for a tip before you've received any service or food--which already felt a bit off. The service was underwhelming, and the food was mediocre. Our pizza was left sitting on the counter, getting cold, and we had to go track down the waitress ourselves to get it. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and we will never be returning.

Natalie P.

Yelp
Don't sleep on this pizzeria! Super sweet staff and yummy pizza, with Integrity Brewing sharing the space. We got the garlic knots (drool worthy) and I had the Vegan sweet Hawaiian pizza. Sat out on their sweet little patio. A cute neighborhood spot that I really hope sticks around!

Logan R.

Yelp
Awesome neighborhood spot for beer, wine and cocktails. Super friendly and helpful staff. They also recently added several beer options from tons of great PNW breweries. Tons of outdoor seating and always seem to have live music. Highly recommend!

Theo M.

Yelp
Some of the finest beers and ales I've ever tasted. Coming in from Pittsburgh, Integrity is always my first and last stop, coming or going. Worth the trip!

Alejandra Q.

Yelp
Let me tell you as an LA native, and a vegan of 8 years, I have been for the most part, massively disappointed in the vegan fair that Portland has so far had to offer. I almost gave up hope in ever finding decent vegan food and being confined to a life where I had to cook all of my own food. That is, until I tried 48 North, I have ordered from here several times, and the food is always amazing. It comes out fast, it's never excessively greasy. The staff is always chill. They have a variety of options and is the best vegan pizza I have had in Portland so far.
