Lots of variety of different businesses. Very clean area and safe. Extra wide parking stalls for your vehicle. Great local town center

Always clean, organized and bright. The deals are great and the experience feels relaxing...which is not something I typically feel while grocery shopping!

Google
Great shopping center! Has a little of everything... groceries, restaurants, salons, vets, etc. Well maintained and very safe area. 😊

Karl Strauss still has the best beer selection in town and I really like how they keep coming out with new flavors. Nothing to wild, just refinement of a good thing. The food menu has a great selection of ‘pub food’ that perfectly describes Comfort Food.

This shopping plaza has a wide variety of shops, stores and restaurants in close proximity to the nearby residential communities of Del Sur, 4S Ranch, and Rancho Bernardo. Convenient access to shopping areas like this one is a major advantage of living in North County San Diego.

Wow, shame on you, management company, drug addicts living in your shopping center by CVS, no security whatsoever in that overpriced shopping center.

I used to love this store, but now, every time I go, it's another price increase . Good bye Ralphs

Chipotle has good food and good service. It is always very busy with long lines, specially in the evening. My granddaughter loves their food and is one of her favorite restaurants.

Yelp
Love my 4S Ranch Community !! It's well maintained and is my go to spot for my routine errands !! I've visited most of the businesses here: Massage Heights - they have great Groupon deals and membership specials. Joint Chiropractic - unfortunately closed, but has numerous locations with affordable plans for routine chiropractic care. European Wax Center - great staff and always offer specials. I also love their products from eyebrow care to body wash. Blowbunny - I've been going here for years and it's my go to spot for last minute blowouts. The girls are friendly and I'm never disappointed. Some of my favs have left though, but that's the nature of these businesses. Prices have also gone up, but I save my blowbunny packages when they are on sale. Ralph's and Jimbo's - Love the organic options and fresh deli/salad and hot food bar at Jimbo's. They have many vegan options which I love. I've ordered plenty of their desserts and they are outstanding. On the pricey side, but it's worth it. Ralph's has much more affordable items and has great deals as well. I get coupons in the mail which brings me back here. I'm a sucker for coupons ! Petsmart - I come here for my birdie treats: millet, bird seeds, toys, mineral blocks, and cuttlebones. Friendly staff and pet friendly duh! CVS - I'm always here !!!! I definitely save up by being a loyal customer and I constantly get offers via online, CVS app, and mail. I also signed up for their membership where I get $10/month to spend. Find me at any CVS 2-3 times a week! Ulta - Goodbye Sephora. Hello Ulta. It's so convenient coming here for my makeup and pamper shay needs. I dread the malls so I love how this is so close to home and less chaotic. LA Fitness - my old gym of 20 years. Sadly it's run down and staff isn't the best when it comes to customer service. Goodbye. Hello Crunch Fitness. Numerous restaurants and cafes - some businesses have closed down, but I don't blame them. It's expensive to lease at this location. You're lucky if you survive a year. Fortunately for me I never had a favorite dining spot here. I've also visited ACE Hardware, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, World Market, and their nail salon. You can pretty much find all you need at this one location. Parking is a hit or miss, but I usually come here off peak hours to avoid the rush. Some drivers can be complete morons and swerve in and out the lots. Stay cautious especially if you're a pedestrian. Overall, I'm happy that this center exists !!

Yelp
The self-checkout software at CVS is really bad, and has been for a long time. It is one of those "designed by committee" things that did not go through a focus group. It asks for a phone number and then, on the next screen, it asks for a phone number. Huh? Every screen has to be studied because of all the options. If you are an extra-care member or have coupons, well, good luck trying to check out quickly. I commented to one of the employees how this user interface sucked and she told me that, yes, many people complain about it. I typically just go to the supermarket a few doors away because I can breeze through that self-checkout! Fix this!

Yelp
4S Commons is a fairly large "town center" shopping center.  It features a major supermarket, a hardware store, several home furnishing stores, four banks, a national drug store, a natural food store, several eating establishments (from fast food to casual dining), and many small businesses.  A County Library branch is adjacent.  Parking is plentiful, and access is easy from Camino del Norte and Rancho Bernardo Road.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. First, to The Joint Chiropractic until they closed down. Now, I go to the Carmel Mountain Ranch Joint location and see Dr. Derek Potvin there. He's the best & worth battling their center's parking lot, even though this center's parking lot can get pretty bad too. The second place I've been coming to for years, and still do, is European Wax Center, which I absolutely love! It's the best thing about this center, and the only reason I come here every week. Blowbunny is right next door, and I come here on occasion when I need my hair dolled up. Lots of fast/casual sit down food options (just ok), 2 grocery stores (kind of rare in same center)- Ralph's & Jimbo's, a CVS, plenty of beauty salons and stores, a Massage Heights (I've only tried the PQ location), and a library (aka The Day Care Zoo). There's more, but you can just look up on their website's directory. Plenty of free parking, but the egocentric, inconsiderate & unsafe drivers leave little to be desired...as with all shopping center parking lots.

Yelp
Food and drink products (other than vendor provided stock for example: chips) need to be fully stocked daily. I frequent the store often and the shelves are always very bare. I believe that it is essential that Management employ part-time and full-time "Stockers" instead of expecting Cashiers to stock shelves during the time between customers which may be very little time. Fully stocked shelves, encouraged customers satisfaction and increased sales. Thank you

Yelp
Overall I really like my little local town center. Im sad they took out Coffee Bean but I still love coming here. It has basic stores and nice outdoor seating sprinkled around.

Yelp
Living walking distance to this center has been great! With so many options to eat and shop, I really don't need to drive anywhere. A safe place. Tons of parking. Well lit. Glad I'm fortunate to live in such a beautiful community.

Yelp
Great shopping mall that has a nice balance of shops and restaurants. I can stop here and visit several different stores to take care of a lot of my shopping needs. For food, Ralph's and Jimbos have a large variety of items. Bed Bath & Beyond, Cost Plus, CVS, and ACE hardware cover most everything else. Karl Strauss is a great place for a beer. Miguel's has decent food and a nice bar. Napizza is decent. Plenty of parking but it can busy and the lanes are a little narrow. It makes it hard to drive around safely with pedestrians walking around. Sometimes I get a little disoriented because the layout.

Yelp
4S Commons Town Center has good, but not great options for this well-to-do housing community. I used to order lunch at Jimbos when I worked in the area. Not much has changed over the years, maybe a larger sit-down restaurant or two coming and going. A little surprised that the food options are not a little more upscale. Napizza, the newest casual restaurant here is the shining star. Love that place. The Winners - Napizza Karl Strauss Jimbos Wendy's The Losers - Parking / Pedestrians. You need to be on your game when driving here. Cars weaving in and out, and people walking through the parking lot without any care.

Yelp
This is a somewhat new shopping center that has it going on! Like, it's popular and fully leased. The property is advertised as "adjacent to one of San Diego's fastest growing communities, with a strong daytime population." That is true: lots of prosperous young families with small hungry mouths to feed, clothe and shop for are snapping up the expensive new homes being built all around the area. I like it because the Ralphs Fresh Fare grocery store is awesome! There is a very convenient CVS drive-thru pharmacy. When I hit the lottery, I will visit and shop at Jimbo's..Naturally. Too expensive for my budget now but a nice store. A Geppetto's toy store, several banks and an Ace Hardware store are here. A fancy Fine Men's Hair Salon where haircuts will set you back $50 is on a corner near a (smallish) Bed, Bath & Beyond. I like the Miguel's Mexican food restaurant, Jamba Juice and my son is always at the Chipotle. Although I like Wendy's, a would like a few more fast food places, like an In & Out Burger, which is why I knocked off 1 YELP STAR. Have to warn people that this shopping center gets hit Monday through Friday during lunchtime hours. Many of the well-paid tech workers from the Rancho Bernardo area descend upon 4S Commons and jam up the eateries so there is no parking and long lines of pocket-pencil types. I have learned to just avoid the area entirely from 11-2 during the week. I like how classy the 4S Commons entrances and exits are. There is a beautiful bridge off Camino del Norte that goes over a rustic hiking trail. The bridge is composed of slate stones and wood & is gorgeous. Landscaping around the property runs toward the native plants that are not big water guzzlers but coming in off Dove Canyon Road, there are gorgeous rose bushes in bloom. A great, safe and attractive shopping center.

Yelp
Best town center of the Norther San Diego County, very beautiful place. Great varieties of eatery, pub, ice-cream, pizza, bbq, asia, tacos, breads...etc etc. Any food you could find here. Other than Food, you have all varities of shops here, on pit stop. Parking could be tight but not bad. Nice decors and great ambiance.

Yelp
Sometimes I wish I lived within walking distance, because this is seriously a one-stop shop for just about anything you could need. Ralph's isn't my favorite, but between that, Jimbo's, World Market, and CVS, your grocery/snack/drink needs should be met! Plenty of options for food and drink- there's always Jamba and Coffee Bean, plus a number of restaurants. Capri Blu is my favorite in the area (bomb Italian food!!) as far as sit-down restaurants go, but Karl Strauss is a close second, especially to watch a game. Wahoo's has great casual Mexican food (Miguel's is sit-down and more upscale), and is right by Panera's. There's also a bunch of random places: a toy store, pet sore, Ulta, hair salon, a small boutique, etc. So basically everything you could need on a daily basis. The only downside is the parking lot- especially on weekends, the place is an absolute cluster, and people can be super aggressive drivers. And also avoid the after-school hours, unless you like slamming on the breaks to avoid packs of kids on skateboards darting in front of you. I love kids, but goodness, they just don't seem afraid of being hit by a car.

Yelp
I live conveniently close to this small shopping area and often just walk there when I just need a couple of things. It would be more complete if they had a book store, children's clothing store and another women's clothing store. I am disappointed this past year in the way that the Center has handled the Holidays. Halloween was done as if someone forced the stores' participation and now Christmas is handled as a non-event. The only decorative lighting looks like something that would be there all year round to enhance the area (white lights outlining some of the buildings). This place could be a real draw at Christmas time, if who ever would coordinate the decorating and special events would take the time to do so. Decorations, a Christmas Tree, a Santa Claus, horse drawn carriage rides, and kiosks set up for various charity donations (Salvation Army; Toys for Tots; Animal Rescues; Food Collections, etc.), all of this would bring people to these stores for Holiday needs and fun. This shopping area has so much potential and yet it seems to be ignored. Is anybody in charge of this place? Dolores W. 12/22/19

Yelp
Has all you need. Fast food, happy hour, grocery for regular people. Groceries for health nut people. Bank, place to get haircuts, place to get stuff for your house and beyond. Has a iron horse sculpture and small water feature. Today it had a young chick in a dark blue Maserati. I don't think she won the lottery. Here's the confusion. If someone gives you directions it's "4-S" not "forest" so don't get frustrated if you're lost in an industrial park looking for fresh air surrounded by trees and greenery. You will be disappointed to not find a forest. The name makes no sense. I'm sure it has some meaning and makes complete sense to the community. Most San Diegans aren't too familiar since the name is hardly ever advertised. 4S is located within RB. A forest is not within RB. This strip mall 4S Commons is. Is "4S" a common name? A number and a letter for a name. Odd. Sounds more like Battle Ship coordinates. You'll feel like a Gump when you discover its not a box of chocolates and it's 4S not forest. These shops cater to the well to do and lots of engineers from foreign countries. That's kind of cool
