Nestled in Queen Village, Famous 4th Street Delicatessen is your go-to spot for epic bagels, towering sandwiches, and delightful brunch fare.
"If breakfast for you means smoked fish and a bagel topped with a scoop of cream cheese the size of your fist, you should start your morning at Queen Village’s Famous 4th Street. The classic Jewish deli is typically packed, but you always have the option to take your challah french toast or pastrami special to go (all while making your deskmates jealous)." - candis mclean, alison kessler
"No place in town stacks corned beef higher or spreads cream cheese thicker than Famous 4th Street Delicatessen in Queen Village. The Jewish deli has been serving enormous sandwiches, matzo ball soup, and challah french toast for over 100 years. You’re just as likely to find professional athletes and politicians here as neighborhood zaydes bickering over knish. And if you come on a weekend, we have no doubt you’ll have to wait for a seat. Worth it." - alison kessler, candis mclean
"If breakfast for you means a bagel stacked with smoked fish, you should start your morning at Famous 4th Street Delicatessen. The Jewish deli is one of the best in Philly, and definitely our favorite place for brunch in Queen Village. It can get as loud and busy on weekend mornings as 30th Street Station, but you can always order your enormous pastrami specials, challah french toast, or matzah ball soup to go. "If you’re looking for a hot dog that fills you up like an entire meal, Famous 4th Street Delicatessen in Queen Village should be your first stop. It’s $8, but it’s a proper jumbo hot dog on a thick, New England-style potato bread bun. It also comes with toppings like sauerkraut, onions, and relish if you’re looking for some razzle dazzle. While you could dress it up with a towering amount of each and be fine—the sweet bun easily holds up—you don’t need to. It’s a state-of-the-art beefy creation even without all the extras.
