5 Gourmet Restaurant & Bar

Dishonesty. The only word to describe this restaurant. We had a trip to Stuttgart planned for December 24th. We know that not all restaurants are open at that time of year, but when we searched, this restaurant appeared as open. We made a reservation more than two months in advance. There was a confirmation message for the reservation. However, on December 24th, in the evening, on a windy and cold day with two small children, we were surprised to arrive and find the place closed, without any prior notice. This is absurd because on that day, without a reservation, there are no other restaurants available. Our Christmas dinner was ruined by the total disregard of a restaurant that disrespected its customers.

The service was very nice. The staff recognized that I drink not much, and they started to serve a little bit less than usual. They also charged less, very kind and nice service. They decorated the flowers that we had, near by our table. Thank you!! The foods were not my favorites, but that is only my point of view. It is not like something was wrong or anything. The restaurant itself has very casual atmosphere, but the price is kinda luxury.

I think I'm done with the Michelin star restaurants. It's usually the same story, the service is amazing, but the food is somewhat lacking and not worth the price. Here it was the exact same story. From the moment you walk in the staff is incredibly professional and courteous. You can't ask for a better front of house staff than what is at this restaurant, but once again, for a 350 euro dinner (PER PERSON), the food and experience just isn't worth it. The beet salad, cod, and pork courses were excellent , really wonderful, good wine pairings too, but the other courses just didn't have the "wow" factor. The sweetbreads were fine, just a bit bland. The shrimp course was awful and incredibly fishy, definitely the worst course by far. The dessert was really bad too, strange texture and just not a traditional dessert. I'm sorry to say, I won't be back, because I can't justify paying these prices for food that is totally hit or miss. If the food could match the front of the house staff and their customer service, this would be one of the best restaurants in Germany.

Let me tell you something. If you will visit this restaurant you will not be able to eat somewhere else in Stuttgart. I highly recommend it, best in Town. The decoration is very cosy and relaxing, The service is top, the people working there are very professional and careful.. The real meaning of Hospitality.. I started the night with the winter spritz the aperitivo and I finish it with a nice desert kiwi 🥝 trifft mango .. The manager recommended me to have the set menu surprise and I followed him and I was really nicely surprised with the quality of the food, the taste, the presentation.. everything ❣️ 🔝 Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience! We ordered 6 courses from the menu. The starters were incredible. The initial welcome and the explanations when the food arrived were incredible. Thank you to everyone working in the service 💛 As for the negative aspects, the ambiance is incredibly boring. Why do you use so little lighting?! Finally, we had to cancel the last course of the 6-course menu because there was so much salt in the food (except for the starter and scallops)that I can't describe. For this reason, instead of drinking wine as an accompaniment, we had to drink water to taste the other dishes. And yes, I admit that no one called us, I didn't want to taste the dessert and cheese plate because I was disappointed with the food.

For a special occasion dinner at 5 is sublime. I love the food, the presentation, the service, how you have the table reserved for the rest of the evening without having people coming and going the entire time. I am swoon by this restaurant. Edit to add that breakfast at 5 is equally perfect at a fraction of the dinner cost. Definitely a must try.

My birthday was an amazing event with amazing service and amazing food. What an experience to have. We have been a group of 5 with 6 courses. Many greetings from the kitchen. The team is taking great care of you and has the highest quality standards. Thank you so much

What an experience. Very friendly staff, took the time to explain every dish and the sommelier was great. The wine matched perfectly with the dishes. Tip: go for the two main courses option
