Atlanta’s Urban Farms Revitalizing City’s Green Space | Eater Atlanta

"Once lined with rooftop plots atop MARTA’s Five Points Station, Five Points Farm—part of the AgLanta Grows-A-Lot program—relocated before 2024 and repurposed an abandoned parking lot on Forsyth Street into a sprawling community garden; the project treats urban plots as backyard gardens where members share harvests and care for each other’s plots, and the team also established related initiatives like a pollinator garden and rooftop irrigation projects around the city." - Avery Centrella

Wow!!! I am completely blown away by this farm!!! I didn’t know what to expect before I went but I was definitely impressed. The facility is thoughtfully designed and also very visually appealing. You can smell the freshness when you walk in and everywhere was extremely clean! I’ve been eating the spring mix salad with micro greens for the past few days and these greens require no dressing. Everything is so flavorful and delicious!! This place is a must visit! Thank you David!!

Pulled up to this unassuming home on a residential street expecting to see a farm like Old McDonalds. To my surprise we walked into farming for the future with plants growing without soil! The room was filled with 47 water towers, filtered water system, temperature and humidity controlled air, lighting system and most unexpectedly, music played specifically to help the plants grow and their enjoyment. The owners David (retired architect) and his wife JoAnn (nurse) started their farm after COVID. You can find videos of their farm on YouTube and David has even written an E-book. If you are in Jacksonville and interested in starting your own micro farm, this FREE tour is a must see!

David and Joann are so obviously passionate about what they do and it shows in their kindness, knowledge, and quality. Best arugula I've ever tasted and their cilantro was so fresh and packed with flavor! Unlike anything you could find in a grocery store. I will most definitely be a regular and continue to support amazing local places and people like them!

5 Points Farm is extraordinary! Therman and David were very pleasant! This was my first visit! I was so overwhelmed with excitement I promptly returned! They offer a large variety of organic produce, and herbs. In addition, their dressings and kimchi is made fresh in-house! Samples are also available prior to purchase. Stop in! You will not regret it!

Discovered this place a few weeks ago and have been back several times now. Great greens, fresh eggs and, our absolute favorite (and the reason I've gone back so many times already) a great range of different mushrooms which are delicious. Really friendly people running it and a great addition to the local food scene.

Amazing local farm. Stopped in on our bikes today and we were greeted and helped navigate the offerings immediately. We picked up a variety of items and I am super excited to try the blue oyster mushrooms, those look especially tasty! We will absolutely be back, I love shopping with great local businesses!

This place is such a gem to have in our neighborhood! We passed by it on our way to the Arts Market and stopped by on our stroll home. What an amazing place to get fresh produce anytime! They have a wonderful variety of herbs, lettuce, peppers, marigolds and so much more readily available for them to pick fresh for you. They also have a variety of other local produce available to buy, all super fresh. And their own salad mix and dressings that look delicious. I'm so happy I discovered them. Everyone was so friendly and helpful there, I will definitely be back!
