We absolutely love this place. Easily the best Sunday brunch around. They’ve got a mole buffet with so much more and it was only about $25 per person. Such a steal for how good everything was. You can eat however much and whatever you want, and everything we tried was super flavorful. The atmosphere is awesome too. Tons of TVs so it’s easy to catch the game while you eat. They’ve also got this amazing house tequila that they import straight from Jalisco. It was so smooth and paired perfectly with the food. The owner was really friendly and welcoming which made the whole experience even better. We’re already planning to come back. 100% recommend if you’re into great food and want to feel like you’re stepping into Mexico without leaving Sacramento.

Beautiful space. I liked the live music on a Tuesday night. Good happy hour prices on the drinks. This margarita tastes top shelf for only $8. Fast and friendly bartender. It's pretty packed on a Tuesday bc they have a taco bar buffet for $15 per person. I just shared three tacos. I appreciate how they make their own tortillas, but they were kind of thin and not finished off. The quesabirria, for example, was floppy. I prefer it más doradita like crisped up on the grill so it doesn't get soggy from the meat juices. Not much cheese. Carnitas looked nice but tasted bland. The carne asada is giant strips of steak. A little hard to bite, but I guess the point is to show off how it is steak and not cheap. Actually the salsa was the best part--picosita and tasted fresh and homemade. Dry limes. I would come back more for drinks and music over the tacos. Maybe I should try something else off the menu.

5 Tacos & Beer in Midtown Sacramento is a fun place to visit for locals. Their Taco Tuesday AYCE buffet is an unbeatable deal at only $15 per person (Kids are charged the same), running from 4 PM until closing. You get your pick of three meats — Chicken (Pollo), Pork (Pastor), and Beef (Barbacoa) — plus a veggie option for plant-based eaters. The self-serve topping bar is well stocked with all the essentials: beans, grilled onions and serrano peppers, cilantro, radish, and multiple salsas including verde, roja, and a spicy dried chili paste. Tacos are good but nothing like street tacos if that what you're looking for. There is live music at night. Parking can be tricky with paid street parking typical of Midtown. Still, for the price and flavor, it’s a great casual spot to enjoy tacos and a lively local vibe.

We had a large party for dinner this evening. The service was amazing, our waitress handled our picky eaters very well and was prompt to make sure we didn’t have to ask for anything! I got the crispy tacos which were priced very well and loaded with toppings. I chose el pastor, carnitas, and chicken birria. I could t tell which I preferred because they were all delicious. As we were eating, a woman who I am assuming is the owner or manager came to check on us. We explained that we are from out of town and that this was highly recommended to us. Eventhough they typically don’t serve their special coffee on weekdays, they made it for our group and added a special seafood dish that was off the menu. It was exceptional service, a great atmosphere for the whole family, and very well priced. We will definitely be back when we visit and will recommend to anyone in the area!

Smells good, food is flavorless and probably understaffed for a Saturday night. I came in and saw 3 people clearing a table and two groups waiting. When they sat the two groups they addressed me, I advised I was there for a take out order but didn’t get a chance to give my name before she walked away. My takeout order was supposed to be ready at 7:30, I showed up at 7:40 and apparently my order wasn’t ready but no one advised me . I waited maybe 5 or so minutes. When I was given the order I asked how they knew it was mine. Apparently I had the only takeout order. The food was mid, the chicken had no flavor, wasn’t marinated, just salt and pepper. The carne asada is ok but they definitely are using a cheaper cut of meat than before. This is my second time coming since they opened. The only salsa was too vinegary. And no lime. Best thing about the taco was the tortilla because it is handmade. It was also empty, 7 parties, they have seating for probably 30 tables. Music wasn’t really loud enough to hear and they had 3 different tvs with different programming with audio. No vibes. The food is too expensive. I can’t see them remaining open much longer.

TACO TUESDAYS is the BOMB! Best deal in the City: $15 all-you-can-eat taco bar on Tuesdays. Staff is very friendly and presents authentic Mexican cuisine with a light atmosphere. Huge selection of beers as well. So don’t miss out on this Taco Tuesdays deal. DEFINITELY coming back.

The staff were super nice, our server David was amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and provided great service. They have a great selection of vegetarian options, my friend got the potato flautas, and I got the soy chorizo taco, mushroom taco, and chipotle shrimp taco. The house margarita was well made and their agua de Jamaica was refreshing without being overly sweet. We came during happy hour which gave us 20% off our bill. Our server let us know that Tuesdays is all you can eat tacos on meats/vegetarian options, Thursday is all you can eat seafood tacos, and Saturday and Sunday is all you can eat brunch. We loved our experience and plan to come back, hopefully when it is more lively to experience that kind of ambiance. They also have outdoor seating with looked really cute! Definitely check it out!

If I could give more than five stars, I would. I went for Sunday brunch and ordered the bottomless buffet. It was wonderful! I just kept saying "wow" after every bite. We came here last night to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful experience! Our reservation was at 6pm and we were immediately seated when we came in. The host was very nice & welcoming. Our waitress came to our table soon after with waters and took our drink orders. I did not catch her name but she was wonderful the whole evening. Our party chose the all you can eat tacos buffet (great choice) which comes with beans. Two of us ordered a side of rice which fed the whole table. The tacos were excellent and you cannot beat all you can eat for $15. When it was time to pay, our waitress asked if I'd like a dessert for my birthday. I went with churros. The churros were very delicious! The atmosphere was amazing. Good vibes and music during our dinner. Clean & all the staff I encountered were wonderful.

AYCE Taco Tuesday was a big disappointment - limited options that (1) did not taste authentic Mexican street taco style, (2) just 3 types to select from and (3) neither looked nor tasted good. I would never do a AYCE taco Tuesday here again. I would maybe consider coming back for the regular a la carte menu. A la carte menu: MUCH better regards to the shrimp, octopus tacos. There's a lot of choices when it comes taco restaurants... so definitely needs to make some changes! The aguas frescas (def the horchata) were also watered down. Service: Server took forever to acknowledge us while we had been seated for 10 minutes before we got served. Other servers may have seen us but apparently it wasn't their table to cover. Ambience: It's actually a very spacious, modern and aesthetically designed restaurant with a lot of natural lighting

Brought my parents and grandparents to hang out and I have to say, amazing little place in downtown! Food was sooooo good! We got my dad the all you can eat seafood tacos, I got quesabirria tacos, my mom and grandmother got the asada plate, and my grandfather for the chicken flautas. We also tried their horchata and jamaica aguas frescas. The service was superb! Our server was super sweet and there was a particular male server that was extremely nice that was also catering to us even though we weren't his table. Comes to show that they're very attentive of everyone. I would definitely come again, specially on all you can eat taco Tuesday!

My parents took me to Five Tacos and Brew for brunch on my birthday. We arrived right when it opened, and all the food was fresh. Everything tasted great! There was plenty of seating, and a lady was making homemade tortillas, which was a nice touch. We'll definitely come back again.

I've walked my dog past this place multiple times. I finally went on Taco Tuesday for their All You Can Eat Taco Buffet. Choice of several proteins. We were seated right away. The server was friendly. Nice view of Fremont Park. Nice interior ambiance.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night. We were seated right away. We order their tasting of the house tequila. Very tasty by the way. They had different types of tacos and food. We of course order and share everything. Our server was attentive and got our drinks food out quickly he came back to check on us a few times. The service was great. The tacos were on point very flavorful. Makes me wanna come back for the AYCE taco nights so I could try out the different types of tacos. The resturant vibes were pretty cool with a big bar and several tables and an area towards the back the was not open since the front room wasn't too busy. Overall the dining experience was great and food was lovely and our time here was great.

The chicken birria taco was good but the chicken taco and ceviche were kinda bland. Same with the rice and beans. I see they get that feedback a lot so I hope they step it up because I would love this place to be better and to come back. It's a cool spot and I love taco spots so I'll give it a chance another day in the future. Service was really good as well.

Service 5/5 Our service was professional, welcoming and attentive. I think his name was David. Cool guy! Food: The tacos were bomb! (And I'm not a big taco fan) I really enjoyed the shrimp and fish tacos! Im planning to return!

To be honest, I actually really enjoyed the AYCE here. We didn't have to deal with any waiting and were instantly seated for Taco Tuesday. Gave us wristbands to confirm that we were there for the AYCE. A total of four choices of protein for the tacos and the tortillas are homemade which is amazing. My favorites were the carnitas and barbacoa, but the barbacoa was sooo yummy. Wished I could get my hands on the veggie option but I was already full after four tacos. Seemed pretty healthy even with all of the fixings. Beans weren't too mushy or soft and gave a nice bite to the tacos. You have two choices of salsa too. Ordered chips and guac on the side to satisfy the saltiness I was craving. Drinks were pretty solid, no complaints. Plates were constantly being cleared too!

5/5 Food The food was phenomenal!!! My friend and I went together for dinner. I got the flautas de papas, she got the mushroom, soy chorizo, and shrimp tacos. We both loved our food. They also gave us some feee churros. So delicious!! She had the Aguas frescas and I had a house margarita. Both drinks were delicious. 5/5 Service David was phenomenal. Such a great host and server. He made sure we were well taken care of the whole time. 5/5 Ambiance Very welcoming ambiance. Very classy. I liked the bar area the most. It was beautiful with a great backsplash of tile. There is plenty of seating and they offer Taco Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekend brunch!

My friends and I stopped by for a quick dinner after visiting Chalk it Up. It was super hot out, but the restaurant was mostly empty. We were seated quickly and when our server checked on us, she even moved us to a different part of the restaurant where the air conditioning was stronger. I ordered one of their daily special aguas frescas de sandía and the plato de tacos with shrimp, carnitas, and carne asada. The food took a little while to come out. I felt that the refried beans were a little less flavorful than I prefer, that the carnitas were fattier than I like, and that the carne asada was a little dry. However, the shrimp and agua fresca were both fantastic, and the portion sizes were huge! While it's not my favorite Mexican food in the city, our server's care and friendliness definitely made me feel welcome here, and I would absolutely come back.

Amazing homemade tortillas, great food and they even make their own tequila! The environment is friendly manager Edgar was interactive and our server was great. The restaurant is so spacious and inviting too. 10/10 experience. :)

The location is spot on. It's in the heart of midtown right by R street and the Ice Blocks. Parking can be a hit or a miss in this area with mainly paid street parking. Granted, there is a parking structure a bit of a walk away. The interior is big but somehow still small at the same time. Cramped hallways, tons of people walking, and the buffet table take up most of the room. This place was PACKED on a Taco Tuesday. They had a band that played live music. The bathrooms are nice. It's a washroom with smaller bathrooms attached. I love how they are singular toilet rooms, perfect for those of us with performance anxiety. The service was fast. Our server came by multiple times to clean our table and refill our water. The buffet style works well with tacos. You barely have to wait since they have a whole system going. The prices are average for 2025 restaurants. I enjoyed the endless all you can eat buffet, I really got my money's worth! The flavor of the tacos are also really good. I enjoyed the chicken tacos the best. However, I wish they had asada for the buffet. The tortillas were okay, some crumbled easily while others had flavor. I don't think they were handmade though. The salsas are INCREDIBLY spicy. The green was a 9/10 and the red was a 15/10, please be careful with how generous you pour the salsa. The meat itself is even a bit spicy, like a 3/10 on a spice scale. Bottom Line/TLDR: great for buffet style tacos.

Amazing tacos and staff. Everyone is so welcoming and explains everything so you get the most out of your visit. Get this.... $15.00 taco bar. You pick out the number of tacos and the protein and then you go pick out all your favorite toppings. Can't rave about this place enough. If you are in the sac area , you have to stop in and get the best tacos around. Elena was our server. She was great. Friendly and able to explain the process to a group of stoned patrons:). Someone else in our group got a blackberry Moscow mule. Said it was amazing. We will be back for Quesabirria Thursdays.

First time here - came highly recommended & it didn't disappoint. It was Taco Tuesday so you could do all you can eat tacos for $15 which was a steal of a deal & worth it for my friends. There was a great beer and cider list to choose from & the corn tortillas were amazing. It was a bonus to have live music of a man playing a guitar and singing. I will definitely be back here again!

I met up with a group of friends tonight for AYCE Tacos. That's is a fantastic a fantastic deal. The waiting was over an hour to waiting for a table for our group since we couldn't make reservations in advance. The inside of the restaurant is nothing special. The cooking station is in the middle of the restaurant and you can see the chefs cooking. It too quite a while for our waitress to show up but I guess since she's getting a 18% gratuity I guess we would be put on the back burner. However, the owners son stepped and took care of everything for us. Brought us our wristbands and water. He is so friendly and extremely helpful. I definitely appreciate that. The tacos were absolutely delicious. They have carnitas, grilled chicken and shredded beef. They also have 1 vegan options and it was delicious, but I cannot remember the name. I will be back and I highly recommend 5 tacos and Beer. I am going to come back and check out their brunch.

Prices are a steal at $15 for Taco Tuesday AYCE, but they need practice on handling large crowds with a little more organization. This place is popping, taking over the old Hot Italian space. I was really excited to try this place but it's a hot mess right now. Arriving at 5:30pm on Tuesday, I asked the reception if there's happy hour and she said yes, until 9am. Imagine my excitement! Only to be bummed out when the bartender said no HH, yet she later gave us a little menu showing drink specials: $5 beers and Micheladas. Ok? We noticed 18% is automatically added to your drinks for Taco Tuesday. Now, the fiasco of getting a seat.. the front desk took our names down but then told us we could grab any table that became available. When we saw some bar tables available and headed that way, another waiter said it was taken and you had to be on the list. We said we were on the list, but he told us no. So which is it? We finally got seated and were ready to hit the taco bar. By now it's been almost an hour wait. But no! You need a wristband first! So we sat around another 10 mins waiting for someone to come and give us wristbands. PROS: Handmade tortillas: Made fresh several feet away from you. The servers also THROW AWAY tortillas not up to their standards instead of giving them to you. Much respect on the quality assurance! Meat Choices: Chicken, Carnitas, and Pastor. The meats were tender, well seasoned, and had a homey stewed flavor. I never get chicken tacos anywhere, but was surprised I liked this one so much. The meats were all juicy and satisfying. Vegetarian Choice: Only one choice, calabacitas (zucchini & squash) and was not good. It was too wet and a bunch of things thrown together, but with no flavor. Variety: Taco Tuesday is literally Taco .. Tuesday. That's all you get. Toppings are your typically street taco toppings - cilantro, onions, sliced beets, salsa roja o verde, and grilled onions & peppers. The beans looked like muddy water; so much juice. There was some cantaloupe soupy looking mess that I also didn't touch. And that's all folks! I found out you can order off a menu also but it's not included I the AYCE. Chips was one of them. I mean really? Also, no pico de gallo. Again..really? Tacos Assembled: OK WTF happened. The tortilla was freshly handmade, meats cooked with love, salsas with a nice kick, but put altogether, it was SO greasy! Where'd all that oil come from?! My plate was soaked with grease. Overall, I enjoyed the tacos, the meats had good flavor and tortillas were fluffy and fresh. However, after one plate, all that grease had me yearning for something refreshing to cleanse my palette. All those palomas just weren't enough! I'd probably come back but might opt for ordering off menu instead of the AYCE.

Ok so I have mixed feelings about this place. First off, it is pretty cute on the inside and they have a nice outdoor seating area too. Which will be great during the spring time. I came and got their chips and guac, Al pastor taco, and carne asada taco, and two beers. The chips and guac was $12 and each taco was $6. The hazys and IPAs were all ranging from $8-$9.50. The carne asada I thought was kind of dry but the al pastor was fine. The guac was also fine but nothing to rave home about. Because of the pricing my first thought was that it was somewhat expensive for the quality. After talking to server, they offer an all you can eat option ever Tuesday which runs for $15/person. I think that's a GREAT deal and I would recommend coming during that deal since everything else seems kinda steep. When I was leaving they did give me a free churro which was nice. Overall, this place is cute and I can see myself coming here to watch a kings game since they have a large selection of beers but I was surprised at the pricing.

Not the best first impression and here is where the ball was dropped, oh heck... here is where it was slammed on the floor. Long story short: My husband and I + Baby C, were seated as soon as we walked in because surprisingly, it was really slow with maybe 2 other tables with patrons and a few people sitting at the bar. We sat around waiting for someone to help us. After 15 minutes we got up and started walking out. As we walked out, the hostess who sat us had the audacity to thank us for coming in. I looked at her and said, "we're leaving because no one came to help us." I can't make this up, it was quite comedic really. I do hope that the service gets better because per other reviews, the service can use some more training and developing. Good luck 5 Tacos & Beer.

Okay, I really want to love this place. First impression, location is great, inside was hip- vibe is good. But the food needs work. I want to be honest and give this place a chance and did not look at the reviews before coming in here. I ordered the fish tacos, birria, steak and Carnitas. Got guac and chips too. Let's start with Guac, it lacked flavor. I felt like it was missing salt or lime or both. Then the fish tacos - can tell it was coming before hitting the table. You can smell it, not in a good way. Birria was tastier than the other tacos. Service was fine, no complaints there. Food was definitely disappointing for five dollars to six dollars per taco. I would expect something more delicious for a place like this. You will definitely feel "I couldve gotten tacos at *insert local taqueria here". Good to take photos with tho.

3.5 stars.... Defff. Walnut Creek location is a solid 5. Sac... it needs work! A lot of work! Pros- huge huge restaurant! The place is so big! One of the managers gave me the WiFi because my friend and I were planning a trip on our laptops. He was very nice. Cons- the food is just nothing special.... I got a chicken taco that was cold and lacked flavor. We never got our water re filled. We never got asked if we wanted another drink! My gf had wine and I had an agua Fresca. This might seem minor but I drink a lot of water and to not even get asked if I wanted a refill on my water was frustrating! To be a staple in sac they are going to have to improve- the food- and training with staff! We had to even ask about our drinks because our food came out before them! The timing of our food was also bad! Nothing came out together. I live really close so chances I come back are high.. but.... Trust me this location is nothing to ride home about!

The tacos were great. Some were better than others. My personal ranking was 1. Carne asada 2. Quesabirria 3. Pork al pastor 4. Chicken molé The service was a little spotty at first. Granted,, the place gets packed and is very loud with people talking and having a good time. Reservations are definitely recommended! We were seated just before 6:30pm and were not attended to until 5 or 6 minutes later. Our drink order was taken and then our food order. However, the food came out first and we were not disappointed. We also had to ask twice for the chips and guacamole that we ordered. The chips and guac finally made it to the table after we were done eating. Overall, I thought the server did a really good job handling the business of the restaurant. He was calm, personable, polite, helpful and respectful. The ambiance was great. I liked the vibe and the decor. The food was IT for us. Tacos were good, we had beef cheek tacos, cod tacos and asada tacos. They were all 10/10 and I'd come back for the tacos. The beer was cold and we ordered chips and salsa which was a very small order and you get one refill before they charged you again. Service: 2/10. I expected so much more but it lacked big time. Food came out fast when we asked to hold food. We got 1 napkin each and had to ask for additional near the end of eating. They ran out of soda(not cold bottles) waited 20 minutes for them to tell us. No water, no salt/pepper had to ask. The waiter was cool but seemed he was at the mercy of the kitchen. Host was nice as well. I may come back to see if the service changes or maybe order to go tacos.

Finally a business to fill the void left by Hot Italia! 5TAB is a nice space with 2 dining sections and a nice bar. There are many different promotions so check their site to stay in the know. We made reservations for weekend brunch. For $25 pp you get a large selection of hot foods, omelette station, soup, fruits and drinks. All I can say is wow! I was impressed by the selection and quality of the food. We will definitely be returning.

All you can eat Thursday-Came on a bad night maybe, first of all, who knows how long the restrooms were all sitting there flooded with nastiness, no warning signs at all, literally al the rooms were backed up. Didn't seem much of an urgency to block the restrooms off to handle that but had people all walking in and out of the area talking about it, including myself. Food-option, deep fried shrimp and fish. Small bits, fish fried had no seasoning including the dish with sauce fish (forget the name) but it was lacking seasoning, or they didn't put any at all, for the portion fried shrimp and/or fish, they will give you two pieces per tortilla which is a double stacked tortilla. If you ask for no tortilla just protein, dude with Chef jacket serving it would only just give you one or two pieces as well lol. I couldn't believe it. He said he gives based on taco size (so keep walking back up). I bit into a few pieces of the deep fried fish and it had some flour doughy parts still inside and was white and they would just give you the batter crumbles too. Super battered on those options btw. The spicy shrimp was so bland too, idk what was up like they threw frozen shrimp in a premade sauce to cook or something, The salsa option was the best part of our experience, not to exaggerate. Hated that I saw the chef jacket guy touching everything then going to refill a new batch of the cabbage salsa then scrapped the jug with his bare hand. So I stopped with that sauce after. But I'm gonna pretend like he washed his hands. The tortilla itself was good. The serving on the portion is super inconvenient to me, so of course there's going to be a constant line. service-very personable and nice but hardly seen her, no water refill, had to ask the bust. we ordered chips and guac that took about 20 ish mins to get lol. 10 bucks for a small portion, looked like a tiny scoop of ice scream. They apologized and said kitchen was short staffed.. OVERALL, the restaurant had a nice vibe and very spacious, two room. Maybe the non ayce option food is cooked better, who knows. But for 20 dollars ayce , it didn't hurt too much from this bad experience. Might just go back for drinks but not recommended for tacos. Best to go to other taquerias around there instead.

We went in to check out the all you can eat breakfast. I recommend a reservation, otherwise you'll be waiting a while for a seat. $25 for a breakfast buffet is a great deal. The food was fresh and yummy, and the tortillas are made on the spot! We added bottomless mimosas, but we agreed that they were very oj heavy. We finished up with a homemade churro...so good. Service was adequate given how busy they were. Next time, I'm heading in for Taco Tuesday.

Truthfully 3.5/5. Man this one is tough. There's alot of things going well for 5 tacos but there's also a lot of room for improvement. Pros: tacos are reasonably priced for a dinner restaurant, they make their tortillas fresh, taco Tuesday deals are good, the protein portion on the tacos are generous, the service was great, the atmosphere is cool and the beer selection is solid. Cons: The food is just not that good. It's not bad at all and maybe it's because I'm a snob for tacos, but I feel like all of them were slightly above or just average. Besides the pork I feel like most of the tacos just lacked flavor. The carne asada was tough the fish was bland, the octopus was drowning in sauce. Overall I probably won't be back soon unless it's a Tuesday.

5 tacos and beer has only been open for a week or so now. I brought my friends here that were visiting from out of town. The drinks were okay. The shrimp tacos were the best thing we had today. The carne asada was good but lacked some flavor. I was told the birria tacos were good and I tasted the meat and it had great flavor. The service was fine I think they are still figuring things out. There was a brunch buffet going on but we didn't do the buffet. The restaurant was clean and busy so I hope it stays successful and I'll be back to try it again. Oh the Elote was good but just know if you want chips, salsa or beans and rice it's all a separate charge. Try it out!!

Food amazing. Service was top. Ambiance was a vibe. Sunday brunch for besties bday. Food was so amazing, fresh & flavorful. The arroz verde is *chefs kiss*. Michelada was yummy. Don't sleep on this place, please. Sac needs them around for a long time.

Nothin special nothing bad to really say either. Service was good at the bar not sure how it is at the tables. Drink options were good. They had live music too. $46 for AYCE and two drinks. Carnitas were good, barbacoa was ok or maybe i'm a salty gal it was lacking flavor. Chicken was good too. Salsa wasn't spicy but i get why. Beans were undercooked kind of hard.

We've made the brunch buffet twice. It's delicious. The various pots of stewed meats are very tender and distinct flavors. The array of salad bar and sides are fresh. The cafe de Olla is just the right amount of sweet. And you can order fresh tortillas and eggs. Very impressed!

TACO TUESDAYS!!!!! Deal of the City: All you can eat Taco Tuesday for $15. And they're delicious! Service is fast, staff is friendly and there's live music starting around 18:00.

I have ate here twice and both times were BOMB! Same server both times she's so nice and attentive. The tacos are so good! drinks are as well! afterwards you get free churros which is a nice touch!

We came here on their Taco Tuesday night and really enjoyed it! It's worth it if you get at least two plates of tacos. I enjoyed the carne asada and the beef but the beef tongue was not very good and too chewy. Unfortunately I didn't get the picture of the table set up but it was beautifully laid out for your toppings and salsa. Server was nice and got us out wrist bands for the taco buffet, and our drinks quickly. Overall I'd comeback for taco Tuesday, otherwise I do feel the menu is over priced as i had to pay $11 for chips and guac and there is like 12 chips per order and you have to pay for chip refill... the tacos are usually $5 a piece when you don't come for the buffet. The inside was really nice and had lots of seating inside so you could sit at the bar, low top tables, lounge type seating, and high top seating. There is also the small outdoor patio with nice ambiance but not for a hot Sacramento summer.

The decor inside was very nice. The service started out very strong. The server was very attentive and patient since I was waiting for the person I was meeting with to arrive. I got the candlelight and rose. I thought it was okay a little watered down for my liking. For tacos, I tried their grilled octopus, pork belly, and carne asada. The grilled octopus and carne asada were very disappointing. There wasn't much flavor coming from both proteins. I thought the pork belly was excellent in terms of flavor and texture. I wished they provided more salsa with their chips considering the portion of chips they give.

Went for the AYCE brunch today. Surprised by the selection of mole they had which was surprisingly good. Didn't see any tacos at the buffet but they had mole, fajitas, chilaquiles, coffee, pozoles, menudo, omelet station, fresh tortillas, and for dessert pineapples and cantaloupe. The tripe from the menudo smelled like they didn't clean the tripe good enough which you can smell it before you ate it. Pozole was decent. Service was horrible, server never came by to take drink order or offered water. Had to flag someone down to get water. When it came to pay, waiter never came back with our receipts. Would not recommend as they have poor customer service and they charge an automatic 18% gratuity. Food was worth $15 and not $25. Would not recommend the AYCE brunch.

Delicious and impressive menu at 5 Tacos & Beer!!! Great prices, excellent customer service, and Ambiance. Definitely one we will come back to and experience the Brunch options.

5 Tacos and Beer: Midtown Hype, East & South Sac Still Reign Supreme... $15 for unlimited tacos sounds like a dream, but 5 Tacos and Beer didn't quite live up to the buzz. Yes, the flavors were fine, and the price is unbeatable--but if you've had tacos at 323 Tacos or Los Perrones, you'll quickly realize those spots are on a whole different level. The biggest highlight here was Daniel at the protein station--attentive, friendly, and the only one who didn't flinch when I asked for heated tortillas without all the oil (a lifesaver, considering the standard ones were oily and cooled too fast). The meats and fried onions also lacked the heat and punch you'd expect. That's where things fell flat. The space is cute, but way too loud to enjoy a conversation, and the line for each taco round tested my patience. Still, shoutout to the hardworking staff pulling double duty with no bussers in sight--they checked on us often and kept things moving. The lager? Super tasty. The reservation experience? A total fail. I called multiple times to book a table and was hung up on four times. No explanation, no callback, and no reply on Instagram either. Bottom line: It's a fun one-time experience for the price, but when it comes to flavor, value, and service, I'll stick to the taco legends in East and South Sac.

Heard of this place and been wanting to go to try it. We went on a Sunday for Brunch. We felt the service could have attended us a bit better. It was so hot in the main dinning room where they sat us. It was going to be a scorcher that day too. But it was very uncomfortably hot for a restaurant. Food was just okay. Nothing special. Before we left I went to the restroom in the side dinning room and the AC was great on that side. So not sure what was going on. They have huge celling fans that they had off above our table. I would like to return on Taco Tuesday to see if it's any better.

Taco & Beer was a blast! AYCE tacos were tasty, and the live band made it a fun date night. Great vibes, good drinks, solid 4/5 on food. Definitely worth checking out for a lively evening!

My first visit, they literally ran out of food during all-you-can-eat. That should've been the end of it, but apparently I love chaos because I came back for my birthday brunch. The food came out cold as hell, half the dishes showed up missing the sauces they're supposed to have, and the rice was so aggressively salty it felt personal. The "bottomless" mimosas started fine, then magically turned into straight orange juice with a trace of champagne trauma. I talked to a manager twice, and both times I got the same copy-and-paste "sorry, we'll fix it" energy -- no real effort, no urgency, just the bare minimum. This place stays trash. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? Yeah, that's on me.

I love going out to restaurants for great food and experiences, but unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. My siblings and I decided to try this place since it was new, and we're big fans of beer and tacos. When we walked in, we were welcomed, and the place was definitely busy--but it was a Saturday at 6 PM, which is peak time at any restaurant. We waited a bit, but that was fine since it gave us time to check out the beer selection. Our server was nice and took a moment to explain the menu since it was our first time there. We ordered drinks first, but it took a while for them to arrive. Even then, only some of the drinks came out, so we had to wait until everyone at the table had theirs before we could cheers. When we mentioned to the guy who brought them that we were missing a drink, he just said, "Tell your server." That's not hospitality. He didn't even check the ticket, the paper was crumpled in his hand. That kind of attitude is unacceptable in any restaurant. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The only good thing we had was the taquitos--everything else was disappointing. The tacos lacked seasoning, the salsa had no flavor, and they barely had any sauce. At the very least, they should come with a flight of different sauces. The biggest letdown was the beef cheek taco, which was hands down the worst I've ever had, and I've had it at plenty of places before. Even our server acknowledged the bad experience we had. She mentioned that the owners were making her do side work during the rush instead of letting her focus on her tables. She even admitted that the owners don't really know what they're doing--and honestly, it showed throughout our visit. I heard the owners are new to the restaurant business, so here's my advice: 1.Train your staff better. Every table should be treated by all servers equally. And no staff member should brush off a guest's request like it is not their problem. If a drink is missing, any team member should step up and fix the issue. 2.Improve teamwork among servers. Side work should wait until the rush dies down, and a food runner should be helping the servers. If all the servers worked together by running food for any table instead of just their own, service would be much smoother. 3.Enhance the flavors. Tacos need seasoning, salsa should have more depth, and sauce shouldn't be an afterthought. A simple fix would be offering a variety of sauces on the side. This place has potential because the concept is great, but with poor service, untrained staff, and underwhelming food, I won't be coming back.

Came here on a Thursday evening for dinner with a colleague. It's a casual spot with a very chill atmosphere so we were seated right away. We started with some guac and chips and mixed seafood ceviche as appetizers. Both were good. Tried the guide verde, al pastor, and octopus tacos. Octopus was tender with an interesting flavor. My favorite was probably the Al pastor taco. Also got a horchata for a drink though it tasted grainier than I expected. If you're craving good Mexican food at a great price, I would recommend trying this spot!

First time here and I'm a fan! 12 of us met up here @5 T&B for our friend's birthday party. We did wait almost an hour for our table but that was OK since most of us had a seat at the bar while waiting. I had a refreshing Paloma while waiting. I loved the Chamoy on the rim! The live band playing gave the place a great vibe and atmosphere. This place is relatively new and from the looks of it, it's the place to be on Taco Tuesday! When we got to our table, we got wristbands for the AYCE Tacos and were able to make separate checks from our friendly server. It was an extremely busy night so we overlooked a lot of the hiccups. I had almost eaten seven tacos. I got the Al Pastor, Pollo, Birria, Carne Asada, and vegetarian. The Al Pastor had chunks of ligament in mine, I picked it out and didn't care to try it although some people may enjoy it. The taco bar had lots of condiments to top our tacos along with fresh fruit and beans. The AYCE Taco bar was great and the line moved rather quickly. I think the next time I visit, I want to come back for the weekend brunch. Pozole and Chilaquile is calling my name to come back.!.!

Was really excited to try this place with my family. Walked in today just before 4pm. The entire place was pretty empty, with maybe 2 other tables with customers. We got promptly seated with our menus. 5 minutes goes by... workers are just walking by us... Some workers made eye contact with us but didn't even acknowledge us. The workers seemed to be socializing versus helping their customers. 10 minutes goes by... still no help. There was another gentleman employee that was talking to the 2 ladies making tortillas. He made eye contact multiple times but didn't help us. We saw 3 hostesses at the front desk talking but no one came to help us after we were seated. Mind you, they are NOT busy with other customers. It's ashamed no one helped us.. my family and I got up and left. Here's the best part, as we were walking out...the girl who literally just sat us down 10 minutes ago, thanked us for coming is and wished us to have a good day... seriously?! My wife politely said, we are leaving since no one came to greet us or take our order, and we have been sitting there for 15 minutes. The hostess had the funniest dumbfounded look in her face but didn't even say sorry. Too bad, so sad... not sure if we'll come back for a second visit.

THURSDAY BUFFET HORRIBLE! The food doesn't taste as good as the images they promote online and around the restaurant food didn't have no flavor. I will say the service workers are really nice and respectful, I love the interior design they have too. So with that said 1 star on the food and 5 stars for the employees.
