Best Rooftop Bars and Restaurants in San Francisco | Eater SF

"One of the city’s biggest rooftop spaces means plenty of room to gather for cocktails and occasional live music. The greenery scattered throughout gives it a lush vibe, though it’s in the midst of the Tenderloin, surrounded by hotels and apartment buildings." - Lauren Saria

The Burger Heatmap: 15 Burgers to Eat Right Now | Eater SF

"One of SF’s best known drag queens, Juanita MORE!, is now the chef at Jones, and a signature item on her menu is the MORE!burger. It’s a 1/2 pound of beef with chile relleño from her aunt Hope’s recipe — and it looks very serious." - Stefanie Tuder

I viewed this property located at 50 Jones, for a dear relative. Over-all the building seemed well maintained. My relative wanted to upgrade, from a studio to a one bedroom unit. Ironically, the studio, is equipped with a bathtub, and the one bedroom is equipped with a shower. We both, felt this was somewhat peculiar, especially since, it usually the other way around. Unfortunately, this is an objection, we cannot overcome. Therefore, we'll have to continue searching. I would like to compliment Liz, for her professionalism and patience, for allowing me to view several units. She happens to be very friendly indeed!

I’ve been staying here since 2023 of Oct. The staff and neighbors are welcoming and caring. Though there was shifts in management over the years I would say there was a huge improvement in terms of security. The gym on the other hand could use some improvements. Some equipment is either missing or damaged for use. 50 Jones, despite being located in the Tenderloin still proves to be a convenient location. For someone who relies on public transportation, the bus and train routes are easily accessible.

I don't recommend moving here. Many residents are dog owners who allow their pets to urinate and defecate throughout the building. The smell of dog waste is constant — in the elevators, rooftop, hallways, parking garage, and entrances. It's not uncommon to find dog feces inside the elevator. Management should install cameras and take action against these irresponsible residents, but they don't seem to care, as the problem continues. While some employees do their best to clean, it's ultimately management's responsibility to enforce rules and start issuing fines or evictions.

Happy about new management. Generally happy about the building. Things Id like to see. Allow market street entrance again. Staff one of the 2 guards there? Maintain the fire pits on the roof and patios. More attention to the parking garage. Cars that take up two spaces Cars that are not supposed to be in there. People using the roof as a dog run and leaving poo and pee around.

The staff is awesome (Jaime, Robert, & Marlon have been accommodating for all my concerns). Ive only been here a week; so far I am loving my view and my apartment and community: Nothing what I didn’t expect that “everything in California” comes at a price… parking, parcel handling, have extra fees from rent. The dog jog is under construction and smells like I’m going to catch something but it’s nice to have versus going on the street with my dog amidst all of the drug dealing and chaos outside the building. I have heard this is Mid Market, Union Square, & Lower Nob Hill but all of the reviews say it’s safe. The 12th floor terrace is magical and the Wi-Fi cafe is a nice spot when working remotely. I have tried the gym and thankful for the discounted fees of EV charging. So far neighbors have been friendly and no issues. Update: Listing for Neighborhood is actually misinformation & I was horrified to learn I live in Tenderloin amidst all the drug dealers, mental health, & homelessness right outside the door. The building has gone through some ups and downs but I still like the community and when my neighbors are being considerate and clean up after themselves and their pets, things are nicer. New management is making changes for the better. Cleaning crew are constantly busy and appreciated!!!

EDIT: Updating my review to say that the new property owners made things right and returned my deposit. I hope they can turn this building around, because it has such great potential. Thank you Sares Regis for doing the right thing. The first 6 months living here in 2023 were fine. Then, I started noticing slow changes to the building — deteriorating amenities, lack of security, sanitary issues, unruly neighbors. I don’t know what caused the switch, but the last year of my lease was absolutely awful. Management is hard to contact, unhelpful, and unresponsive. “Security” is not security at all, just a glorified front desk person who does not enforce any kind of guest or visitor policies for non-residents. There were multiple times when I saw homeless people sleeping in the lobby, and my neighbors saw them in the hallways. People sell drugs out of the building, which creates a dangerous situation for neighbors. No one respects or cares for the amenities, and management does not maintain them. There are multiple large fires a year because management allows people to charge electric bikes and scooters in their apartments. The water damage from the fires is extensive and has impacted many units. I moved out a month ago and management is refusing to answer my demands for moving out guidelines and deposit return. Stay away from this building at all costs. You will regret moving here.

I've been a resident since November 2021. My sister and I like living at 50 Jones, but conditions here have declined every year. The outside is a challenge to keep clean.(especially Golden Gate Ave.) The change in management was needed, but one of the people helping with the transition has been rude to my sister on several instances. The problem with that is that I have not experienced this rudeness with this same employee. I hope the change in management improves because I will not put up with the lack of care and consideration that has been 50 Jones lately. Renewal of my lease is based on the next 6 months. I am not speaking for my sister.

Packages are frequently stolen, and management is indifferent. Even when you provide a photo showing the package was delivered and left in the lobby, they simply say they don't know and suggest contacting the seller instead.
