Could not recommend this place enough. Delicious food, huge portions, incredible service and a great atmosphere. Decently priced and will 100% go back when in Lisbon again!!

Warm, welcoming, cozy environment. The staff were incredibly helpful in translating the menu to English for us, ensuring we understood each dish’s preparation. The service was excellent. A few different staff members checked on us. They were truly friendly and courteous. The meals were the best we’d had in Lisbon. Flavorful, big portions — we would have taken away the leftovers if we’d had a fridge in our hotel room. For the price and quality, you can’t beat this lovely place. A wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

This was by far the best meal I had in Lisboa. The staff were so friendly and welcoming - we both practiced our English and Portuguese :) the octopus rice was incredible. Excellent price/portion/quality ratio. And very local. Muito obrigada to the team at 50 Maravilhas !!

My only complaint is that they are closed on weekends, because I wanted to go back immediately. My friend and I had an absolute feast in their lovely, well appointed restaurant with a friendly staff that spoke a little English. We had traditional Portuguese dishes that impressed our local friends and the whole environment was relaxed and welcoming. I'll definitely return on my next trip.

This was a nice restaurant my friends took me to for dinner. The fish was well made and there was a large pot of black stew which was really good! I can't remember the name of it because they ordered it for the table.

We visited 50 Maravilhas last night on our daughter's recommendation. She said it was a neighborhood restaurant and based on the way the proprietor greeted his guests, I'm sure that is true. The restaurant was filled with local families holding reservations. The owner said he was fully booked at 9, but if we could eat in 1.25 hrs he could seat us. Yeah! We had bread with spreads, olives and cheese to start with a lovely vinho mindho 2021. We ordered grilled sea bass - whole fish salted and grilled perfectly. Accompanied with a fresh lettuce tomato and shaved onion salad dressed with local olive oil and light wine vinegar -- simple perfection. We also ordered a full Portuguese chicken rice with red wine sauce. Fantastic flavor! The portion size was immense so choose the half order for one. The staff were highly attentive and friendly.
