500 Lakewood Ctr Mall

My grandson and I love the Lakewood Center Mall. Every time we go there we see less and less people. So go there, so they can stay in business. It has most everything you could want. The place is kept so so clean and it is safe. You don't need to worry about parking or your safety here. You will feel calm and comfortable. Parking is easy in their huge lot. They have a great selection of stores. They have a Costco, a Target and other mall type stores that are really nice. The service is always kind and friendly. The prices at the mall stores are reasonable. They also have a Kid's Footlocker and soon will have an adult one. We love their food court. There are many places to sit, again it is so clean, and they have a good selection. They also have store front eateries that are super. You can get Korean, Japanese, pizza, burgers, you name it. Now, all these places are cheap eats or moderately priced. They also have an El Torito right when you enter and it is really good. They are decorated now for Christmas and it is cute. They have Santa. Go there. And they have a beautiful carousel. Get on it. It is never crowded.

If it weren't for the Yelp perk at Cookie Plug, I would have never known this mall existed! I've driven through this area many times, and I may have been driving too fast or just never paid attention, but when the destination was deliberate, my initial thought was, "There's a mall here?!" I came through mid-day, mid-week so it was only natural it was sorta empty. But that gave me the chance to take a good look around. The entire place was clean. They still have a good selection of stores (departments ones included naming Target and Macy's) not like some malls who lease their stalls to just whoever regardless of the not-so-impressive products they sell... they even have areas for kids and a decent food court. Parking is a breeze. Huge open lot. Not an issue. I wish I had a little bit more time to explore, but I sure intend to come back first opp. I read somewhere they glam the place up during holidays. Might just check those out.

This is a nice cool mall with several economical stores. Variety of shopping from food to clothing and shoes. The service is great which makes it a plus to shop at this mall. Plenty of unlimited parking. The food court is just ok. They need more good selections. Bank of America and Burlington Coat Factory are in the same lot as the mall. Macy's and Jcpenny are their main department stores. They have Q, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Finish Line, etc. The mall is pretty decent size so make sure you bring your waking shoes. Note: You can enter Costco and Target from inside the mall which is amazing. They have nice restaurants also located inside the mall like California Pizza Kitchen, etc.

03/02/2024 Lakewood Run ‍ hosted by LA County Sheriff's Department where the route starts here on the Northside. I'm helping a table for OneLegacy DonateLife as runners arrive. We give away little items and answer questions. Others like Cal State Long Beach next to us and a cookie company selling cookies. Those samples were good. It did rain on and off but what a treat to watch the formation of each unit getting ready for their run. I have been to this center for Costco, there was a table for them too. The Friends Experience is here too. I think it was a fun morning as everyone is very nice. I tried to say hello to everyone around us.

My husband and I love this mall. It's fun to just see all the stores and I must admit I really can let my eyes get the better of me lol! My favorite stores being Q Luv, Cookie Plug, Victoria's Secret and Macys at the moment. I love makeup and girly stuff! They have a really fun arcade area on the second level. You night miss it if you don't know it exists. It also has bowling and karaoke which I may have to try sometime! I love the convenience at the food mart area. The popcorn and the pizza are both so so enticing but I can only have certain foods. Sometimes I give in. I am lactose intolerant, and I have a very sensitive stomach which is no fun for me! I love sweets though which is why I love the Cinnabon mmmm. So so yummy! There is a place for everyone! Sometimes it is bust and sometimes it isn't as crowded! I would love to be able to use my rollator but I'm nervous I will get run over sometimes so I just have my husband wheel me! It's safer for me as my legs are still growing the muscle back from my acl surgery I had! But over all, I love being here and cruising around! It's fun to shop here and they are always building new things! Stop in and see for yourself why this is one of my favorite spots!

What a surprise to explore this mall, it is huge located right next to Costco, while my local malls are emptying out each day, this one somehow getting super busy with a lot of food traffic, and also so many stores still remained opened here, most of the restaurants in the food court still in good businesses, even saw a Sbarro here, something you don't see every day :) overall a cool place to hang out

Came to this mall for an event over the weekend. Parking was easy to find as there's parking all over the mall. I hadn't been here in years, I grew up going this mall as a kid. Hate to say this but this mall feels ghetto and I felt like it has declined over the years. A lot of the stores have closed down like GAP, American Eagle, PacSun, etc. and has been replaced my shops I never even heard of and missing major brand name stores. Not only that but I felt pretty unsafe, it's less family friendly and attracts a different type of crowd. I guess the upside is the Round1 arcade and H&M. Personally I would prefer going to Cerritos Mall or Del Amo for a better shopping experience. But I'm still glad this mall is still going and busy.

I came for 3 items and bought 10. Impulse shopping is so much fun!!! Salads, 2 shirts, Almond Roca candy, 500 piece jigsaw puzzle of the inside of a Costco store, and gift cards were the extra purchases. I also bought apple pie, sweet potatoes , and Hawaiian rolls for Thanksgiving, which is in 2 days.

My first time here at Lakewood Center mall. Major store front are Macy, Jc penny , Target, H&M , Costco. Plenty of parking spaces available. ( Costco is not connected to the mall it's adjacent with in walking distance outside the mall) Reasons for my visit were to try the open food stall vendors " Lakewood Family Market ". that's located on the corner of Candlewood St / Lakewood Blvd. adjacent to El Torito Restaurant and on the back side parking lot of Target . At this location Lakewood Family Market is here on Saturdays. I've been following Khin Khao a Cambodian/ Thai / Lao food vendor for sometime and was excited to know they were here today. Khin Khao serves authentic Thai, Lao and Cambodian food . At this market we were able to try their papaya salad with dried shrimps , fermented crabs . Wow! So delicious. My kids enjoyed their beef and chicken skewers, beef were tender full of authentic cambodian flavors of kreung ( lemongrass paste ) chicken skewers were equally delicious. Wish they had more of their mango sticky rice available. Sweet mango and warm coconut milk with sticky rice . Like an orgasm explosion in my mouth lol !!! ( took it home to heat in the microwave a little to warm the rice / coconut milk )

3/6/22 More like 3.5 only because it's a smaller scale mall with Macy's & JC Penney as its major department store offerings. Spent most of my youth hanging out at the Glendale Gslleria, days of yore & now i can honestly say "I loathe the mall" (in my best Valley girl accent lol) If you grew up in the 80's, you'd 'toadally' ' understand! Was accompanying my auntie to walk these halls after dining at Panera towards JC Penney. Otherwise the only time I'd make my way towards or near the mall is if I were needing to shop at Target or Bed Bath & Beyond. It's looking less filled on an early Sunday at about 11:30 am. Some stalls are unoccupied & empty. Plenty of kiosks are scattered about for little plush toys or jewelry & even cell phone accessories. There's Macys, Forever 21, of course JC Penney, H&M, Victoria Secret, all the usual suspects. It's one of the smaller malls, unlike Cerritos mall where more of the bigger department stores dwell. There are other places to eat like CPK & Genghis Khan, Hotdog on a Stick & Wetzels Pretzels. Costco is nearby and it has its own outdoor eating area (pizza, hotdogs, salads). Maybe because it was too early on a Sunday morning or it's off season (no major holiday like Christmas) but it was not packed at all. We didn't have to fight for parking & we had plenty of social distancing space around us. If you don't like crowds & want to shop at the stores listed on their directory, this mall is for you. Meanwhile, I'm still on the lookout for straight leg joggers for my husband. Neither of us care for tapered legs for pants. Not looking to see bell bottoms from the 70's but just plain straight legs!

We Just recently went to this mall, and it is huge. It has both indoor shopping, then numerous stores surrounding the 'center' such as Costco, Best Buy, and lots of restaurants like Red Robin, Applebee's, Luna Grill, etc. The layout of the indoor mall is pretty straight and long, and then they have a main extension. Most of the shops are the typical shops found in most malls, but not super high-end places, but that's okay. The food court was very average however, but they have so many restaurants outdoors it's not a problem. There is just about everything you need and the main two department stores are Macy's and JCPenny's. We were exhausted after checking out all the shops and then the surrounding stores as well. But this is a very good mall and has everything you might need. I recommend shopping here. I believe almost every single store was open, which is a great sign.

This place as been here for ever and I have no idea how I have never written a review about it. This is we're I would skip school when I was a kid shhh don't tell. Not only the mall with the spincers and hot topics the pacific sun oh my and don't get me started on the food court back in the day. Just walking around checking everything out talking with friends and going to the movies yes please. I'm glad to see they still thrive but some of the remodeling over the years has thrown me for a loop. The spent like almost two years building a food court they closed down after only a couple years and mad it a Round One I guess. So I'm just glad to see this place still a staple in the city as all my childhood memories.

This is mostly for a specific kiosk inside the mall. Didn't even get the name because the mature woman working it was so rude. I went in to ask a question on the sports jerseys she was selling and she was on her phone. I said "excuse me" three times & on the third time she snapped and replied "YES". She looked so upset and annoyed that I was interrupting her texting that I just said "Jesus. Nevermind." & I walked away. I was honestly flabbergasted that she had such a nasty attitude. How are you going to have a kiosk at a mall and be so incredibly rude? I don't know why she'd be selling at a mall because with that kind of attitude she seems more suited for the swapmeet. It honestly makes me reluctant to return to this mall at all if these are the kind of vendors they accept. Anyway, don't bother the kiosk with the lady on her phone selling sports jerseys unless you want your morning immediately ruined.

Yeah lots of people like to talk shit about this mall, But i have always liked it. 2 of my Cousins stay at the mall. Think my cousin Britanny used to work here with a girl i was going out with once. Anyways this mall is not so bad. We were here during the holidays just muckering around shopping. Macys , Target, Jc Pennysm and Starbucks. Shop at some of the popular places. Nice to see families still shopping here after covid. More new stores opened up. Like the Cerritos Mall, A bunch of stores were closed down for remodelment. Always a pleasure visiting here.

This is a great mall, a lot family many stores to choose from. Different food places you can eat and it has a little game room.

I've always love this mall since I was a kid! This mall is so big and it has a lot of stores to shop at, especially video game stores, and that's why it's always been part of my life! I will admit that the only one flaw it has is that sometimes there can be some massive brawls between some individuals, including black people (not trying to be racist since I'm not against black people as I have a lot of respect to every type of race and as long as they're courteous and well-behaved), which is why I would LOVE for this mall to enforce security guards and metal detectors in order to prevent any violence and shootings from ever occurring as well as making sure weapons don't get permitted, even put up signs that weapons and soliciting are not allowed at the mall and also prevent any crazy, ridiculous stuff like fist fights and massive brawls from occurring by prohibiting all that type of stuff as well. That's what I would LOVE for this mall for the better. Other than that, I LOVE this mall so very much, it's been part of my whole life ever since I was a kid, and I give it 5 stars and a 10 out of 10!

Bought a Cuban link chain 260$ , said it wouldn't tarnish , 8 months later tarnished and smells like dirty Pennies . Went back and said they couldn't do anything cuz I didn't have a receipt ..

We have been calling this the ghetto mall for the last 25 years and it is just getting worse and worse. I live 5 min away and drive to a target 10 miles away and go to the Cerritos mall or even downy. Took a chance and went to this mall last week and was attacked in the parking lot by a crazy guy while mall security watch from the golf cart. Not only this, but they do have good store but only 1 or 2 people can fit in them at a time. Don't even bother if you have kids. Strollers don't fit anywhere. It's always hot inside, most people go to the mall on a hot day to cool down. Mall management is a joke, they seem to always be in a meeting and the security manager Jose likes to hire 20 year old girls that like driving golf carts instead of actually helping anyone in need.

Great mall, I find the best deals here! Parking can be a little tough especially for anyone that has a difficult time walking a lot. All in all one if my favorite malls.

Does anyone know what the name of the store was in the Lakewood Mall in Lakewood, Calif. they carried lots of Rattan, Wicker stuff it was a pretty big store? It was there where Circuit City was. if you know please let me know. Thank You

Why are the public restrooms at the mall not open? The city planning commission should have had some regulation when it comes to square footage and available restrooms/parking, but with COVID, there was a temporary change. Having to go upstairs and through a blaring arcade is not appropriate.

It has a few anchors but def need more stores and restaurants... sad to see vacancies.

This mall is decent, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite. Still, I'm not complaining. There are many stores from Ulta to Target! There's even bowling and a food court. All of the stores seemed to be open, which is a good sign. There are more eateries on the outer part of the mall as well as Costco. I really like the book off and the mystic stores! I wish the mall was a bit bigger, but it's still great for a walk and errands. You can also go to the dollar tree and forever 21 here, too! It's worth checking out if you're in the area!

I like this mall because it's not so big. And im not a mall person. Took my nephew here just to walk around and with a lot of shoe stores he was happy

Wacky mall, I've been to better malls w a lot more stores. And let's not talk about the damn teens that are being obnoxious for no reason.

Writing this review in gratitude to Officer Stephanie at the security office. My son lost his squirtle hat and we found a homeless lady wearing it. She had us come by to the security office and gave my son a squirtle plush toy. That's a genuine act of kindness. I wish her good karma. THANK YOU.

I've been working at one of the stores in this mall for 2.5 years and it's at an all time low. No one shops here because of how ghetto it's become. Over the past month multiple stores keep closing because they can't get business. Security absolutely sucks too. When Jaime was the head of security he was amazing and did everything he could for us. I couldn't tell you who's in charge now but at this point I don't think anyone is. They care more about our windows being dirty or us closing 10 minutes early than they do theft. We've had people steal from us and they always tell us to call security but they never do anything. I call them and give all the info they need in like 30 seconds and they're like "uhhh ok got it" but then instead of them coming to us and taking a report like they used to, I have to call them back just for them to tell me they couldn't do anything. Then when I complain they say "well we're all busy and are also getting calls from other different shops", which btw is 100% bullshit cause I see the same "security guards" walking on the Costco side going into stores to talk to girls or their friends or whatever instead of actually doing their job (ESPECIALLY the fat white one that keeps trying to grow a "Mustache/beard" but can't LMAOOO. when asked for his name he says "Ramirez" which I thought was funny) Whoever runs security doesn't know this because (here's a secret for you that I'm gonna put in all caps for everyone to read and maybe they'll finally do something about it) THE CAMERA BY COTTON ON FACING TOWARDS COSTCO DOES NOT WORK. They know this and from my understanding have failed to anything about it, why I have no clue. There used to be a jewelry kiosk near hot topic and they got broken into one morning but didn't know what the guy looked like so they asked people near by. Since then that jewelry place has moved to a different side of the mall. He probably found out that THE CAMERA FACING TOWARDS COSTCO DOES NOT WORK so he moved his kiosk. All this to say, the mall is a dump, stores pop up and only last a few months before leaving due to theft or no business, security is pointless cause all they do is try to hit on girls, theft is probably at an all time high because people are realizing workers can't do anything and neither will security. It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if this mall were to ever shut down. This place is a mess and no one is doing anything about it

I love to shop at Lakewood Center, there's a ample parking lot plenty of parking. There's a variety of stores also there's some yummy food inside the mall and there's other restaurants that are close proximity. I will definitely return very soon .....

Place has lost its way of being a good mall. I feel there a swapmeet not a mall All these nice please but the mall is a mess. Trash everywhere. Need to have better house keeping. Place not how it use to be. Looks like a trash dump. House keeping poor.

The overall mall is good. Some of stores need to be updated. The bummer is that half the stores have dressing rooms open and the other doesn't. Why can't things be consistent. I understand stores have their own rules but this is just annoying. I had to walk out of several stores because I couldn't try anything on. Otherwise, mall is nice and clean.

I'm bias towards this mall, in the late 90's I was a mall rat, the queen mall rat to be specific and this was my kingdom lol. So of course I love the place, full of memories and mischievousness haha!!! What I love is that a few of the stores I used to shop at still in the same place. The biggest department store here is Macy's, there is also a target, Ulta, Costco, to name a few. The food court selection is great, there are also some good restaurants. Kid friendly

It's pretty bad. It's very sad. I grew up hanging out here with my friends. I even had my first job here at Yogurt Palace! That closed long ago. The mall should of too. You know a mall is ghetto when there is a sign in the entrance about gang attire. The next clue is when you have never heard of the majority of the shops. I still go to Costco. Which was a later addition. I wish they would tear it down and make it like Lb exchange.

2 stars for the mall itself, but I'm pumping it up to 3 for having a Book Off store here, which I can spend 2-3 hours in alone. I haven't been to this mall since I was a child the 80s, so in a good 30 years. I don't remember what it looked like. It's pretty small, but better than I thought it would be regarding store variety and pleasantly spacious. The mall is in a big "T" shape and has a nice bowling alley with an arcade and pool tables upstairs, which is the only thing on the 2nd floor, so it's not a 2-story mall. It's got more stores than the Village at Orange AND Manhattan Village in Manhattan Beach. Regarding the food court, there's a nice, little variety plus it has some snack places in the middle and at the other end of the mall. I'd come here again maybe once in a blue moon, but only really because of the Book Off store.

Mall finally open!! My plan for tonight was to get out the house and get a beauty face sheet mask at Target just to kill my boredom. To my surprise I blinked a few time looking out the Target entrance to the mall to make sure its open. Ok so I walked forward to the mall....omg....I'm in the mall lolz. Feel so good to walk inside the mall. Some stores and displays are still closed but hey, I'm finally walking inside.

Screw all the low reviews.. been coming here my whole life and frequently in high school (years and years back). Who doesn't want to eat at a food court, go shopping, then bowl upstairs? Great mall, underrated.

Although malls are dying, some manage to still keep up like the one in Cerritos and Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. This is not one of those malls... I tried to find a last-minute dress for Vegas and the options were non-existent. I thought if anything, Macy's might have a decent selection, nope. Total waste of time. At least I got some steps on my Fitbit lol.

This mall is ghetto. It's nothing more than an indoor swap meet. It wasn't always so bad but in the last few years that area has really went downhill and fast.

Security guards need better training. They asked for service dog papers which is against Ada law as they don't exist. Need to do better for their disabled guests.

The store owner is extremely rude no customer service and plus all the stuff in there are over price. Don't ever give them a business with the rude owner.

This review is mainly for the Smoothie place & ice cream place across Hollister. Your workers have zero training in customer service. They stand around talking while people are in line waiting for them. I just witnessed an order guy maybe around 60s waiting for one of the 2 girls to take his order and they just kept chatting. He eventually just gave up and walked away. And the girls just continued talking and being on their phones. Who ever is in charge needs to re-train these girls. It's so sad how customer service seems to no longer be any companies priority anymore.

Refreshed shoe cleaner is a terrible business place the kids working there are always high or under some type of influence and there is never a manager there to help out nor do they have a good contact number. Already filed a complaint with the security and apparently I'm not the only one.

This mall is your typical American mall. It also happens to be the closest mall to me since I live in Long Beach. It has all your staple mall stores and a food court. Plenty of parking all around and 5 major anchor stores: Costco, Forever 21, Target, Macy's and JCPenney. There's also a Home Depot and Best Buy in the area, though not directly attached to the mall. I like that this mall has a lot of restaurants surrounding it. It's a great place to get a group of friends together to get a bite to eat. Overall, this mall is...alright. It gets the job done for your shopping needs.

Lakewood Center is a sad, sad place. It's so dull with many stores closing down. The mall smells worn down and they have a weird sign outside before you enter that warns people that there are chemicals in the air that can cause cancer. Thanks for the sign but why not so something about it? You can tell the management doesn't care about its tenants or the way the mall looks from the inside. They probably give themselves high raises while everyone else suffers. I've talked to tenants myself and they seem pretty unhappy on how the management takes care of things. I just think this mall won't last very long, I'm waiting for it to become a town center instead like Downey Promenade. Don't even get me started with parking... you can't even see any arrows or parking lines so everyone just parks everywhere. Also, there's Costco carts everywhere! It's annoying! Get your **** together Macerich lol Also, I've stopped by Book Off a couple times and I've seen the broken service door for like 2 months now. They clearly don't like spending money to fix the mall.

This mall used to be the hangout spot back in the day when I was in high school. Almost every Friday, my friends and I would come here to hangout. Whether it was hanging out at the food courts or taking those OG studio photos just for fun, it was our home away from home. Almost a decade later (wow I feel so old) this place def has run it's course. I feel like there aren't many trendy shops here. There are a lot of random stores that that carry unbranded names and they don't usually last for more than 2 years or so. Also, their food court is no longer upstairs but rather downstairs and there aren't that many food options. The only time I come here is either to go bowling at Round 1 or to go bowling lol. I'd say Cerritos Mall is better which is a few miles away.

Today could be the last time I visit Lakewood center. My parents and I were sitting outside today at Panera, eating our lunch and chatting with a neighbor. Out of nowhere, an obviously mentally ill man rides up on his bike and starts yelling at us, mainly my dad, only about a foot away. My dad is in his eighties and this guy was screaming at him random angry things and calling him names. Almost gave my dad a heart attack. I was pretty sure if we didn't step back, he was going to hurt one of us. I looked for help, but no one was around us to see, except a homeless guy sitting at a table next to us, watching like it was a tv show. The friend we were speaking with went inside to tell the Panera manager. But by that time, he was gone. Please please beef up security at this place. This is not the first scary situation I've encountered at this mall, but I hope it'll be my last.
