Yelp
Just had a debate with one of my cousins and a friend of mine about who have the best fast food and town, I recommend Super Deluxe.
google avatar

Finn W.

Yelp
Great burger and fry but it smelled like old cheese (not too bad but very noticeable when you first walk in)Deluxe sauce is pretty good as well I recommend that with fries idk about the other sauces didn't try. 4.5/5 would give 5 if not for smell

Yelp
Well after here I no longer worry about searching for the super yuck burger ..what a waste ...door dash recommended this grossnest after not being able to get our original order because the restaurant was closed idk SO IT WAS SUPER YUCK FOR THE WIN!! I THINK MY STOMACH JUST BEAT ME FOR SAYING WIN!!!

Yelp
I enjoy Super Deluxe for what it is. I feel it's definitely a step up from traditional fast food and with prices these days it's not that much more expensive - cheaper in some cases. I like it more (and it's cheaper) than Five Guys. In addition to their burgers and fries, they have good chicken nuggets which are closer in size to boneless chicken wings in my opinion. Their fries are the traditional crinkle cut fries which I appreciate. Their shakes and chicken sandwiches are also good, especially their spicy chicken sandwich.

Yelp
Very disappointed... took 20 minutes in line to get the wrong order. I had it sent back, instead of making me a new burger they attempted to scrape off the stuff I didn't want and gave it back. I HATE lettuce, ruined my lunch. I won't be back...

Christopher E.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible!!!! I ordered 2 8-piece chicken nuggets, a 5-piece chicken nuggets, and a fries. Fries were good and I got burnt gross chicken nuggets with very little meat! Just 1 8-piece seen below! This place used to be good, but the last few times have been a disaster! It kind of feels like the staff from the closed Pearl location was moved here!! I wouldn't be shocked if this location didn't close too! Owners: your staff is ruining this place!!!!

Yelp
Came here (Powell location) last night on their National burger day celebration. Was very appreciative of their participation. I asked a simple question, "are your chicken burgers included in the special?" The response was no, and I then suggested to have the sign designate that. The woman with dreads/braids wearing a mask decided to talk crap about me to her work mates after walking away from the window. Complete trash talking crap about your customers. This is not a way to retain your customers. After a few choice words from my wife, I think the classless employee got the picture that she should keep her criticisms to herself.
google avatar

Dan G.

Yelp
It's better than the other fast food joints. Drive thru is always fast....everything always taste freshly fried versus that cold heat lamp fried taste. The flavored sodas are also spot on!

Yelp
My brother wanted burgers, so he Googled a place nearby, and we popped in. Alot of places don't offer vegan foods or vegetarian, so I was just going to order fries , but to my surprise, they had a vegan burger ! It was yummy, but the fries is what stole the show for me ! ( the bun was too dry , I guess my brother ordered me gluten free bread . Regular bread next time, but it's good they have that as an option for people. My brother says he would definitely come back for a burger and the chicken nuggets, too.

Yelp
Ate here this afternoon, a few hours later my stomach started hurting. I ate here once pre-covid, it was fresh and delicious. Now it's bland and tasteless. The employees are friendly and accommodating.
google avatar

Victoria J.

Yelp
We ordered 2 single burgers. There were only 2 tables occupied, so the place was pretty deserted. Our burgers took 25 minutes...not exactly 'fast food'. We did see delivery people come in to pick up large orders, so maybe that was the problem. The burgers were not good. The meat patty's were VERY thin and cold. There was so much 'sauce' on the buns they turned to mush and fell apart. The ketchup container, in the condiments area was empty. The fries were good. So there is that. Have NO intention of going back.
google avatar

R T.

Yelp
That is one tasty burger. Enjoyed the balance of meat cheese and bread along with the condiments that made this a surprise find in Sherwood. Fries were crisp and held catsup nicely. Will stop in again if I'm in the area craving food not normally on my diet. Interior was bright and clean, counter service speedy quick despite the long line at the drive thru.
google avatar

Yelp
We had two delicious burgers at the drive thru this evening. Buns were warm and soft, cheese was all melty, they were great. One vege burger and one meat. Friendly staff, they even remembered the napkins. Nice job, Superdeluxe!

Yelp
I'm a super fan of super deluxe. Always fast & never too crowded in the drive thru, honestly superb graphic design too--I always feel as though I'm eating at a made-up fast food chain in a movie. Burgers are solid, fries are solid, shakes are solid, and that is hard to find--especially at such a good price. You really can't go wrong with super deluxe. I'm shocked it took me so long to find.

Finn L.

Yelp
I always like to patronize new local restaurants, and the drive-thru line was busy, so I figured i would give Super Deluxe in Sherwood, OR a try. What an utter disappointment! Four of us ordered burgers, and they were all horrible ! They put something on the burgers (looks like maybe a grilled onion relish, or? ) It was a brown goo placed on the top of each burger and it tasted awful! The burgers were small, contained sub-standard servings of lettuce, pickle and condiments, a dinky over cooked burger patty and a crunchy, smashed bun. all four of us ate a few bites and threw the rest of our burgers in the trash. we definitely won't be going back! we would have been much better off going g to mcdonald's.

Yelp
Continuing on my adventure looking for a really good down home burger from a fast food-ish chain, I came here. I was looking forward to it because of where they source the meat and stuff from (supposedly clean), but there was ultimately no wow with my burger or fries. Just run of the mill. Burger was a basic chic, tasty, but again, no wow. Fries were disappointing, like those frozen cafeteria crinkle cut. And the bun was not that great either. Kind of cold, and didn't taste the freshest. The search continues.

Larry N.

Yelp
Super deluxe is one of my favorite fast food joints. I've never been disappointed when I visit. The menu isn't huge but every item is delicious.
google avatar

Anthony C.

Yelp
For a burger joint this isn't half bad, and I hesitated on going here because who hasn't been to a burger place before? They all seem the same except a few have some exceptions to taste and value for what you're getting and the amount of the portion. This burger, which I'm talking about the super deluxe cheeseburger, which is the original tastes similar to a double cheeseburger from McDonald's, but better and bigger because I couldn't pinpoint that familiar taste, but I like it! I highly recommend trying this place out and getting a double because it's always worth it having more meat and cheese, am I right?
google avatar

Timothy D.

Yelp
I ordered a burger and fries . My son told me he tried it a few weeks ago and was not impressed. I though I would grab a bite to take to work. Service was fast in the drive through. I was packaged very well the fries were great the crinkle kind really hearty. The burger was a little off no flavor . It had plenty of condiments but no flavor . I hate to say this but the burger has a potential but losses with no flavor. I herd the chicken nuggets are where it's at. I will try that next time. Would I try the burger again probably not. Smash burger or in and out are my go too .
google avatar

Megan H.

Yelp
Amazing food! Slowest drive through ever and your orders are most likely to get messed up. Sometimes I go through the drive through and someone at the window will look like they haven't showered in a week with their hair out and dirty clothes and that bugs me. But, I love the food so much and prices so I keep coming back. So maybe just be cleaner and take time getting the order correct. Besides that I love you guys!
google avatar

Loren W.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped here for a late night bite after a Saturday out at the movies. I got a veggie burger, he got a classic cheeseburger, and we split an order of fries. My veggie burger was solid with lots of veggies. He liked his cheeseburger and thought it was a good deal as far as fast food goes, although he said the flavor could have been better. The fries were very good quality for fast food - hot, crispy, and crinkle cut! The water didn't have any ice in it, which was kind of weird, but we decided to forgive them and not allow it to effect our rating.
google avatar

Kyle G.

Yelp
Food is to die for there's a few items on that list that are absolutely First Its their Chicken Nuggets with ranch and their burgers have got some kind of 1,000 island dressing and fries! Service is quick and the ambiance is normal and relaxing when I've been but usually ordered from Too-go menu!

Yelp
I am desperately seeking the story I read that compared Super Deluxe to In-N-Out. I drove across Portland to check it out. Perhaps because I am from the land of In-N-Out burgers and have had more than I can count, I can attest that these taste nothing like it. I will admit that their crinkle cut fries are better -- crispy, fried, well seasoned -- but the burgers pale in comparison. They have seasoned their meat for a certain flavor but I cannot tell if that flavor is actually an asset. The pickles have a bitter taste and the bun is nothing to write home about. The cheese was nicely melted and the burger was all wrapped so it was pretty easy to eat in the car, if that is what you're looking for. But at least at the Powell Street location, the whole place looked kinda grungy. Will I go back? No.
google avatar

Benjamin M.

Yelp
I've been to this location many times. I would say it offers the best burger you can get in the area without getting out of your car. The menu is simple. I've only ever ordered their single cheeseburgers, but they do have chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets and veggie/vegan options. The burger is good and tasty with caramelized onions and a rich, garlicky "Deluxe sauce". To me, it is both of these components, along with quality beef, that elevate these burgers over their other fast food brethren. I would say I prefer the burgers here to Burgerville's, which is my runner-up for fast food in Portland. Super Deluxe is a tad cheaper than Burgerville, but with a smaller menu. Another downside is the small number of locations. If you are near their Powell location and in a hurry, try this place over Burger King, etc.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Super deluxe for a very long time and was finally in the neighborhood around lunch time to hit it up. We got a variety of things - double cheeseburger for me (yum!), Single cheeseburger for my daughter (she liked it but regretted not getting the double!), chicken sandwich with extra pickles for my wife (she thought it was fine but no chick-fil-a), and an egg/cheese/bacon/avocado breakfast sandwich for our soon (he really liked it). 3 orders of fries was a ton for the 4 of us, and we thought the fries were pretty standard. And we substituted the fizzy fruit waters instead of the sodas, which were just ok (strawberry was best, marionberry ok, and passion fruit wasn't good). The ambiance felt like a fast food joint...self serve, at a busy intersection, and ample tables inside and out. Service was attentive and quick. We enjoyed it but I don't think I'd feel a strong urge to go back either.

Yelp
Damn! This is what you wish drive-thru food tastes like, so, fast food without the taste of disappointment? Veggie burger was ordered as takeout and arrived with the cheese still gooey. The buns are great (didn't try the GF). My only complaint is that I found their Super Tasty kind of hard to drink. I have been waiting for this thing to turn into a beverage for 20 minutes.
google avatar

Vaughn H.

Yelp
Tasty high quality burgers with grilled onions, cheese, tomato, etc. Diet Coke tasted great.
google avatar

Mercedes C.

Yelp
Yummy food and friendly service! I've went through both the drive thru and sat inside and the service was very friendly. The food tastes fresh and the fries are SO GOOD. I would definitely stop by again if I'm craving a burger and fries. The downside is their burgers are a bit expensive for fast food BUT you're paying for quality.

N S.

Yelp
Food was good but other experiences makes me hesitant to come back. 1. Need to fix OR update their intercom or headset for drive thru. They couldn't hear my husband who already has a loud voice. 2. Asking for tip when you checkout(for what to take my order that you can't hear) 3. Had to ask for receipt but couldn't print me one, told me there was a print receipt option when i check out but I didn't see one only saw an option to tip and a signature for charging my cc. Said he could text it to me. No thank you don't want to have to give my # for a receipt. 4. Didn't give me any napkins (Is it because I didn't tip they didn't give me any napkins). Asking for tip at a fastfood drive thru/restaurant is ridiculous.
google avatar

Aaron J.

Yelp
Okay, this place is my suggestion for you if you want in-and-out burger. It's the best analogue around. With that said, their shakes don't hold up well at all...they need to use more ice cream. I'd give them a 4 and a half for this but I don't want them to be really penalized over that
google avatar

Tessa F.

Yelp
For $32 for a lunch for two, I guess I was expecting better quality. Burgers (double and a veggie) were fine but the tomatoes were mushy and lettuce limp. Fries were greasy and limp. But the shakes were TERRIBLE. I thought they'd be creamy shakes but it was gritty ice milk in a cup lined with syrup. $6.50 for an icy cup of disappointment! Nowhere does it indicate on the menu and website that the shakes were not actually shakes (though I guess they avoid it by naming the drinks SuperTasties). If anyone asks me to go there again, I'll say "thanks but Super No Thanks." Oh, and side note: don't be fooled by some older reviews and photos you may find online. A three-year old article in Portland Monthly showcases beautiful, long cut crispy fries a la In-N-Out and actual MILKshakes on the menu. Seems like the prices have gone up and replaced the fries with freezer crinkle fries and shakes with the drinkable sand beverages that they have now. Yuck.

Yelp
On a lazy Sunday afternoon, we decided that cooking wasn't to be and went searching for local alternatives. Burgers sounded good, Super Deluxe was close by, so they got the nod. Got in line at the drive-through (only currently available option in these plague-infested days), was pleased at the speed that we made it through the line. Ordered two singles, fries and two SuperTastys. Honestly, our impression was just "meh". The burgers were warm on top, cold on the bottom. Nothing really stood out other than their ability to fill a need. The SuperTastys were even more "meh" - not sure what they're trying to achieve with those but $4.50 for a flavored frozen icey drink is just unacceptable. The fries were the star of the show. Hot and crispy on the outside, nicely soft on the inside - just perfect. $22.25 for the meal. I doubt that we'll be rushing back. Oh, how I miss Foster Burger...
google avatar

Jesse C.

Yelp
Reviews about specific moments of poor service or messed up orders are unhelpful. Fact is these burgers and everything slap.
google avatar

Heather H.

Yelp
Spicy chicken sandwich is the pick. The employees are still nice and kind, it makes you want to go there. Plus is the food as great as the chick n sandwich. Fries are nice and crispy too
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
SuperDeluxe is super super slow. After 20 minutes, I actually left the drive through line and just skipped lunch rather than be late to an appointment. Add to that how difficult it is to get in and out of there

Aidan W.

Yelp
Rolled up with 4 cars in front of me on a Tuesday evening. Waited 5 minutes, ordered. Waited 20 more minutes, still had 2 cars ahead of me. Unfortunately I had to leave to get to an appointment so I never got my food, but wouldn't recommend the drive through under any circumstances. Can't imagine what the wait is like on peak days/hours.
google avatar

Tony A.

Yelp
Best. Chicken nuggets. Ever. For a fast food joint that is. Real meat chicken nuggets that are hella juicy. Crinkle fries that always come crispy. Yummy sauces. I get the spicy chicken sandwich and it is tastier than most fast food spicy chicken sandwiches. I usually stick with chicken as the burgers have been just ok. I live close to this place and go here entirely too much. Definitely my go to fast food joint in PDX.

Jean M.

Yelp
I don't like to step in ketchup when I step into your poorly renovated business location. Do better when you charge as much as you do
google avatar

Kaleesa T.

Yelp
Burnt and over priced. DO NOT ORDER FROM DELIVERY SERVICE. Ordered 2 double cheese burgers, 1 single cheese burger, 5 piece chicken nuggets, 1 orange cream shake, 2 iced coffees. Burger patties were burnt hockey pucks. Paid extra for bacon and got no bacon. All you get for $10 is a burnt burger, no fries. Chicken nuggets were burnt dried out pebbles that were also rock hard, also fries are not included with the price tag. Iced coffees were supposed to have sugar and cream but we're more ice than black coffee. Paid extra for whipped cream on the orange milk shake and got no whipped cream. Also milk shake is not worth buying you better for cheaper elsewhere. When I went to report the problem to Uber Eats I was told the restaurant does not do refunds. So I spent $60+ on food I can't eat and wouldn't even feed to my dog.
google avatar

Anne L.

Yelp
Ordered a few burgers to dine in for our first time here. Pretty busy during lunch rush. Took our order and got the last open booth. Burgers came overloaded with caramelized onions. In favor of the Potato buns but the fries were saltier than preferred. There was a slight wait but that was expected. 3 star avg for tricky entrance and exit to this place! There's really only one entrance in order to get to the drive thru without cutting anyone or blocking anyone in the lot. I'll stick with Mcds deals. We Don't plan to return any time soon.
google avatar

Stacie B.

Yelp
I do like the food here but the last few times I've been here the burgers have seemed to get smaller & have pieces of hard gristle in them. I LOATHE being asked at the drive thru window if I'd like to leave a tip after waiting in line for 15 minutes & still not getting a perfectly fresh burger or a correct order. I'm sure they make a decent amt in tips because Portlanders are pretty passive but it's weird & not very comfortable to be asked directly for a tip. I'm more than happy to pay more for a grass fed burger & even eat around some gristle in hopes that the supply will improve sometime soon... but the requesting to be tipped is awkward as hell & my bet is the vast majority of people do it because they feel pressured, not because they had a tipable experience in that long line. We are being asked before we can even see if the order is correct. I'm going to keep trying every month or two in hopes they stop asking for a tip before a service has even been provided (and see if the reactions to a no after a long wait time improve) but I'm losing my love for this place with the drop in quality & the awkward drive thru tipping thing. I love having a grass fed fast food option so I hope this place works out.

Carl R.

Yelp
Let me preface this review by saying I have never written a review on Yelp. Honestly, I don't put much stock in customer reviews, but I couldn't let this go without saying something! They have dining area, but it's not available to the public. WTF? Drive through only? I understand they're trying to cut costs, but that's ridiculous. How many employees do you need to operate a drive through? Evidently, a lot. How about cutting back on staffing? That's a much better cost cutting method. Cut two people and open the freaking dining room! Problem solved!
google avatar

Luis G.

Yelp
I went there with hopes to find the In N Out of POrtland as mentioned by another review. Unfortunately, food was bland and not tasty at all. As much as I tried to enjoy the veggie burger and fries, I just never found the tasty burger that was advertised. From what I can see, place didn't look clean and my fries were a little on the cold side:( I was disappointed to say the least.
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
Decent burger and chicken nuggets for fast food. I got the single deluxe which was a good size for me.
google avatar

Jody J.

Yelp
I really really really want to love this place but for some reason the message is not getting through to upper management. Come on please read your reviews. I've went through the drive-through twice in the last couple weeks and both times the drive through was packed as usual. I get it... It comes with the territory and I don't mind waiting if it's worth it. I thought it was a fluke but the last time it came through the drive-through the guy asked me if I wanted to leave a tip... All sort of stuff went through my head. A tip??? Like for what? I have never been asked for a tip in the drive-through. Let's just not do that. Then tonight I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries and the girl at the window asked me for a tip as well. What is going on? No I don't think it's right for a drive-through window employee to ask you for a tip Especially when you don't even know what's in the bag. And to top it off my fries were halfway full, my chicken sandwich was soooooo salty I couldn't eat it and the bun was burnt. It seems like salt is always an issue here... There isn't consistency, do they not have a recipe or is it just random salting. Please go taste your chicken right now I just left. It's a blood pressure contributor. Most people have tried to reduce their salt intake.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place a lot more. The good, the people working there and the sound system. The bad: I drive by this place all the time but finally decided to give it a try. I was shocked at the price but thought, OK hopefully it passes on to the workers there. The burger was OK, but it had a lot of gristle in it. That was totally a turn off on the food. Fries decent but not amazing for the price. I decided to go a second time to see if it improved so a few days later stopped by again. Got a double and it had gristle again! They need to get better ground beef from who ever is the supplier. I wish that it was better, I would go again, but with the price and quality I will have to pass for now. I feel bad since this is a smaller place and wanted to support it but I am not going to put my money in poor quality food.
google avatar

Sim L.

Yelp
Honestly wonder how this place has survived for the lack of quality/value their food is but I had to give it a try since I've never been here before. Simply put, if In & Out was in Portland, this mediocre burger shop would get steam-rolled in just a few weeks because for the cost of their single patty burger, you could get a #2 combo which is a quality cheeseburger, French fries, & a medium drink. Nothing really stood out w/ their burger & fizzy water drink and that's all I really have to say about their food. Their staff was pretty down to earth though and very accommodating so nothing against them, they were cool. What oddly stuck out was that they had a nice sound system in the joint and they played good music and had the volume up which livened up the place so that was nice!
google avatar

Bruce S.

Yelp
In many reviews this place is compared to In n Out Burger. I guess those folks just have never eaten at an In n Out Burger. My review is 3 stars, 4 for the fries and 2 for the cheeseburger. That cheeseburger. On my tray it looked so sad and not very appetizing. It's a standard size cheeseburger and the bun was toasted. Yet it was stone cold. It had both secret sauce and mustard, plus pickles, tomatoes, some stupid shredded lettuce, and maybe a half a dozen pieces of chopped raw onion. Using shredded lettuce on a burger is always a mistake. I didn't even know it had onions on it until I was 2/3s finished with it. When I tasted it I took it apart and sure as hell there were a few pieces of chopped onion on it. It just looked so marginal sitting there taken apart. I didn't eat anymore of it. I did eat all the fries though. There is more than potato going on there. They are coated or treated with something. They taste pretty good too! Better than In n Out fries. I hope the mystery coating doesn't cause cancer. I just ask for a water to go with the combo and it still was $7.50. That's a dollar more then and In n Out combo and the In n Out comes with a refillable drink. The water came in a plastic cup with a plastic lid. Please stop using all that plastic! A paper cup would be just fine. At least the straw was recyclable paper. This place needs to get real and really quickly because In n Out is coming to Portland next. They are opening in the Salem area this Fall and probably have already purchased land around Portland.

Yelp
I love a good bacon cheeseburger burger, and the Double Deluxe (with bacon) is about the best I've had from a drive through fast food kind of place. It's rally good. Their iced coffee is good, too.

Yelp
This, for me, was like any other overrated place. We see this place often enough and were finally hungry when nearby and decided to try it. This location is just terrible. Such a pain to get in and out. Probably why other businesses have failed here. Service was pleasant enough and fast. Prices far too high for what you get. I was expecting this awesome huge burger and it was just very basic. We didn't opt for fries and although some drinks sounded good we passed on that as well. So just tried the regular single burger and a chicken sandwich. Chicken wasn't any more impressive. My partner did get a spicy chicken sandwich. He really enjoyed that though. Had a good flavor and actually spicy unlike some of the competition. So that was the only thing I'd even day was actually good, but at that price I wouldn't buy it again. Nothing special.
