The 25 Essential Albuquerque Restaurants

"Aptly named for the city’s beloved area code, this food hall is a bustling destination at the heart of downtown. With about 10 restaurants to choose from, diners can get their fix of ramen from Naruto, pan pizzas from Thicc, and fried chicken sandwiches at Kukri Chicken, along with coffee, dessert, and libations all under one roof. Don’t forget to stop at the in-house package liquor store, Packie’s, for some local beer or spirits to take home." - Justin De La Rosa

Right in the heart of downtown Albuquerque..Very industrial decor with only about five to six food stalls or restaurants to choose from. There's one coffee shop & two bars. Everything is made to order. So we went to Stackers Burger Co & had a smash burger w.Hatch Chilies & tater tots w.queso & Hatch Green Chilies from the burger place & the spring rolls & seaweed salad from the Ramen place. The smash burger patties were crunchy around all the edges. So yes, it was a little bit over fried. But the spring rolls were delicious. However my order of seaweed salad was such a small portion at that price for takeout. Also the cocktails were on the pricey side for its location.. But if you're in the area stop by and check them out.

Google
it's a very good option to dine in downtown, got plenty of different food options. you pick what you want to eat, order, pay, and sit in shared area to eat it. i ordered tacos 🌮 it was ok.

Google
So. I am giving it a 1 star rating cause I went to get lunch today. I asked for no onions and no garlic and they added the onions and garlic to my food. I went back and they did it the 2nd time. I am upset cause they dont understand when I say no onions or garlic I am allergic to both ingredients... so I hope the manager sees this. From kuiri tenders about his employees not following simple easy instructions

Google
Didn’t realize this was a little food court area. We went for smash burgers and realized there were so many options! The service was friendly and everything was clean The smash burgers were a delightful mess, and the egg was nice and runny

Google
A good variety of food and drinks (though the drink menu is a bit limited.) seating can be hard to find if there are more than two people, but overall it’s a nice local vibe. (The tourists are all over at sawmill.) there’s a patio area out on the street side that’s great for people watching, but there are options for indoor seating too. There is an upstairs, but it was closed the day we went. We’ll certainly check it out again. A great option for meeting friends for dinner/drinks if you’re seeing a show at the Kimo.

Google
The fried rice I had was great. I also had an iced tea and a beer while visiting with friends. The atmosphere was easy going and clean. Lots of choices here so I'll be back!

Google
Chicken was great my husband got insane heat and he was dying but enjoyed the meal. I got the sliders in medium heat and were very good. The cashier was very nice as well and told my husband insane was enough heat maybe too much hahaha. 10/10 will come back and recommend.

Google
This is a great place if you are looking for a variety of food all in one place. Lots of places to park nearby and many options to choose from. Friend chicken, burgers, pizza, Asian, sandwiches, coffee and two bars. We travel often for Indian weddings and Fusion weddings so this place for great for us while we were in Santa Fe.

Yelp
If you love fried chicken and fried chicken sandwiches, you'll absolutely love kūKri. The sauces they use and the combination of spices is delectable. I discovered them late last year and am addicted to their sliders. I think all, or most, of their locations are in food halls. I've been to three of them, though this one (inside 505 Central Food Hall) is my favorite. That's not because I can walk here. It's the staff. They seem to be the most attentive, spirited and friendly. They always get my order right. Sure food halls can be noisy, but it's still a fun place to go and you can always chill out in the Humble coffee next door.

Yelp
The concept at 505 Central Food Hall is really neat--definitely a fun spot to check out, especially if you're with a group. There's a solid variety of food stalls to choose from, and the bars were well-stocked with a great vibe. We ordered from three different vendors and everything we had was good. Not the best food I've ever had, but tasty enough to enjoy and worth the visit. It's the kind of place that's more about the experience--casual, lively, and great for groups who all want something different. I'd go back for sure.

Yelp
The pizza is good. The sushi is decent. Would go back to try the hamburgers. The bar makes really good drinks

D B.

Yelp
A lot of shady character entering the dining hall and a lot of vagrants just out side the hall asking for money.

Yelp
Came in on a Monday night 8 o'clock . They close at 9. The beertender is cleaning up, can tell from his face and the face of the old lady sitting they aren't happy to have a customer. Says something like " what ya looking for" a drink ass hole , what did he think. He does everything reluctantly. Weird guy and his old girlfriend. Can tell when someone doesn't have much experience other than that job. Just another shitty Albuquerque beertender

Yelp
It was pricey and the Barria tacos were super small. I'd rather have just 3 big ones instead of 5 little ones. My husband loved his smashed burger though. They want you to tip but don't serve you like a restaurant, weird. I used to bust my ass for tips not make the customer do everything and then ask us to tip. Do better and I'll tip when service is rendered.

Yelp
I had a great smash burger here. Usually, I'm not a fan due to the grease, but these were pretty good. No grease here. The process were a little on the high side. It was about $12 for a small burger. The 2 star demotion was due to hygiene. I was people watching and some of the vendors seemed to be violating some health codes. For example, I observed some getting food and bring it back to eat while the cooks were making food. The food hall was large and had plenty of vendors. Many of the people coming in walked around several times before settling on something. There's bathrooms available and free ice water. As a note, there's a lot of homeless in this area. Some have mental impairments and yell at people walking by. Just keep to yourself and make sure you travel with someone.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Accidentally stumbled upon the food hall when driving thru the area. Unfortunately, there are a significant amount of homeless people walking around the outside area of this part of town. We walked around the building to check out the food options and decided on the smash burgers. Pretty tasty and not that greasy. Other options in the food hall include sushi, pizza, cocktails, and coffee.
google avatar

Beth W.

Yelp
The smash burger is amazing. We went back a second time before leaving Albuquerque. It's not a huge food hall and you might find fancier food at the Sawmill, but this was an authentic urban reuse Cool!
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
Had a great time. Large eating space with several choices of food stalls. There are many different seating areas. Had the veggie nachos and my dining companion had carne asada fries. She got them with red and green chile. The chile was delicious and had a kick. My nachos were very big, freshly made with veggies like squash and corn. I will come back.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
What a fun place to eat. There were several choices. I had sushi and a great cup of coffee afterwards.
google avatar

Annette M.

Yelp
Cute little food hall in downtown ABQ. Nice find within 10 minutes walking distance from the convention center, where everything else in between was littered with empty store fronts and closed restaurants. Many of options to choose from and plenty of seating.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a fun food hall with several options. It's a great spot to bring friends from out of town, have a large group get together, have a quick lunch, or just enjoy a night out. This is a great option if not everyone can agree on what to eat. Parking is a bit tricky, but it's free street parking after 6 pm. Be sure to check out this food hall solo, friends, family - you'll have a great time. Just as a heads up: 1) If you're alone at night, always watch our six. Things tend to get a bit rowdy later in the night with people on central. 2) The food here is expensive. 3) If noise bothers you then a heads up because it does get pretty loud in here. Personally, I prefer Sawmill, but you should definitely check out both and make the better choice for yourself. They also have events like college night, trivia night, and happy hour is 4-7 everyday. Enjoy!

Yelp
What an amazing place. I wish that I'd found it sooner. Unfortunately it was the night that Albuquerque flooded and they closed early but the time that I spent there was completely satisfying and fun! The diversity of flavors gave me all the choices I needed although I really wanted French Dip and they were closed due to a power failure but that's not their fault. I'll be back. Oh, the carnitas at the taco place were bright and exceptionally well crafted. Washed it down with a Mexican Coke. Win win.

Yelp
The best food option in all of Albaqurq Albaquer Albuqer downtown, so it's a great place to hang, especially for tourists waiting for the train to Santa Fe. It's what you'd expect from an urban food hall: a clean, hipsterish, industrial, minimalistic yet loud, food-trucky indoor food court. What sets it apart is that it hosts trivia night, karaoke night, open mic, etc. I would have gotten THICC PIZZA CO's Detroit Style Pizza, but I was short on time. My wife got tater tots from STACKERS BURGER CO. Their signs say "SHAKES" though they don't have shakes, and they have no veggie burger options. She also got a grilled cheese from STACKT SANDWICH, though it was dry, not buttery. I got fries with al pastor from TINO's TACOS, a little too-smothered in green chile. There's also a hot chicken place (KUKRI), ramen (NARUTO), coffee (HUMBLE), brats (PACKIE'S BAR), a microbrewery/cocktail bar (MOONWALK), and a bathroom that requires a code. I had to press 3939 to make a 2.
google avatar

Bill G.

Yelp
Selection of options is ver small. Not setup in best fashion compared to other halls. Drinks were limited.

Yelp
The area is pretty sketchy. The food was ok, had the salad at one of the pizza places. They did not have a full menu at some of the places. It was ok, but not alot of choices. They are very busy, so I didn't feel the place was the best spot to get dinner.
google avatar

Gabrielle V.

Yelp
Great variety of local eats at this well maintained food hall with a good amount of nearby street parking. We came midweek and stumbled on trivia which was fun to listen in on. If we lived in the area this is definitely someplace I could see us frequently. We had great service from the four vendors we tried- Milkshakes from the burger place, a hibiscus tea from Stackt, ramen from Naruto 505 (get the curry ramen!- so much flavor and good brisket) and a chicken sandwich from KūKri- depends in what you're in the mood for. We almost got the pizza- that also looked A plus if you're into Detroit style. Overall, great experience and would recommend.
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
Perfect menu for a hotel restaurant. Food was plentiful and tasty. Service was efficient and attentive.

Yelp
Was okay for the first few minutes until I tried to get a drink. A friend was walking by so I shouted out to see if she wanted a drink. That's when the weird bartender chic turned around with attitude asking me, "please don't yell, I don't like it." Lmao. Well, maybe you're too sensitive to be working in a karaoke bar? Never mind, I'll get my refreshments elsewhere. I should come back when I'm less sensitive? I was calling out to a friend to see if she wanted a drink. Maybe you shouldn't hire sensitive bartenders with attitude problems. No worries, though, I'll be sure never to visit your ridiculous establishment ever again.

James W.

Yelp
Several good choices, all with fast service, reasonable prices and great food! From sushi to burgers, it's all good.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped in the 505 Central Food hall to grab some drinks and decided to try a few of the food vendors. There is a good selection of dining options. Some very reasonably priced and some way over priced. Nice addition to downtown. Definitely stop in and check this place out.
google avatar

Kelly P.

Yelp
This place is worth the stop if you like options and food halls, there was live music on a Tuesday which was cool. Good for kids for food and adults for more adult styled beverages

Yelp
First if you say your open til 9 your establishments need to be open til 9. We came in about 8:15 and only 2 of the restaurants were open. I chose to eat at the chicken place. The girl taking my order definitely needs training. First off there I could barely hear her and had to keep asking her to repeat herself. I'm sure that was annoying to her but I can tell without a doubt it was annoying to me. Next she asked what kind of sauce did I want. Being my first time I don't know what choices I had and when I asked she didn't know what choices there were either. So I asked what the one and only sauce was like that I saw. She said it was their house sauce. I said great what's it taste like? She said she hadn't tried it. The actual meal was ok and the sauce I chose was good but there was no water out for us to drink and the restaurant kept telling us to go get water from there. Overall frustrating experience.

Yelp
cool place, lots of good restaurants to choose from! the staff at both bars are always very friendly

Yelp
I love food courts. It reminds me of going to the mall. This place is great with lots of variety and plenty of seating.
google avatar

Yelp
505 Central Food Hall is a great spot for a casual lunch or a delicious bite before hitting downtown. The atmosphere is very chill and open. All of the food is excellent! Stackers is probably the best burger in town. And service is always impeccable- no matter which business you patron. I've been here on a casual night out and had some excellent people watching. It's easy to find a spot with a few friends that feels intimate and quiet. I like that the layout isn't one open area like a cafeteria but rather spread out around the floor. We've also taken our kids and all had different food then grabbed a coffee at Humble before hitting up the library or zoo. If you haven't been, you're missing out!
google avatar

Crescida J.

Yelp
Coming from a city with several HUGE indoor food halls (and the food truck capital of the world), this food hall was underwhelming. However, based on our walk from the hotel, it was the best option for lunch. They have two bars, a hamburger place, a pizza place, a sushi place, and a ramen place. We had a few drinks and chicken sandwiches from the hamburger restaurant. The restroom is locked with keypad, so ask for the code.

John D.

Yelp
Plenty of food great place to eat great atmosphere plenty need to choose from I give it two thumbs up and a smiley face
google avatar

Yessica B.

Yelp
Walked in and was immediately drenching in sweat. Was the AC even on? The smell of body odor and other things was over bearing and I unfortunately could not fathom an appetite afterward. Basic foods: tacos, burgers, pizza, and ramen. There are 2 vendors who sell alcoholic drinks. Not missing out on much.

Courtney B.

Yelp
I'm disappointed that this place doesn't really seem like they want to be open. From blasting music on the patio in the morning (then being annoyed when you politely ask them to turn it down), to shutting down more than an hour before close, it just has an apathetic vibe. The place feels pretty good in the daytime, but the lights are just way too bright at night & the place is not clean. I don't usually write bad reviews ... I just really want this place to get better! It's a great building!
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
The food hall was just okay. Nothing special. Not very clean and is was outdated and looking old.
google avatar

LeeAnn M.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to come when everyone wants different food or want to grab drinks before eating. There are about 6 different food places to choose from, a bar, and a coffee spot right next door. You can get pizza, burgers, tacos, ramen and more. One of my favorite times to eat here is Friday night for karaoke. It's so fun and even the staff gets in on it. The food places are all individually owned so they might change but we will definitely be back.

James S.

Yelp
Stopped by here for lunch middle of the week. Nothing special. Ended up doing the chicken shack and it was mid. A few bars inside so, might be more lively post work hours.

Mia O.

Yelp
Really great ramen noodles. The ambience was nice not as fancy tin can ally, green jeans and other food halls but still super sweet. The service was amazing. The only downside is at the moment they're doing road construction so we had to park a ways away
google avatar

Trebor N.

Yelp
Tino's Tacos is amazing. Al Pastor tacos were juicy, had a flame grilled crunch and the spicy sauce on the tacos was really tasty - smoky, spicy, flavorful
google avatar

Joop V.

Yelp
This food court is located in the middle of ABQ downtown, so if you are in the area, it's a good place to stop by to grab meals, especially if people in your party cannot decide or agree on what they want to eat. There's some selection there but it's just a bit of everything like a shop for burgers, pizza, seafood, ramen tacos, beer, etc But there are also some things I would love to see there that are not there like desserts or drinks specialized shops or heck Chinese food (since I'm Asian :D!) The food prices were ok. They were not cheap. The place, however, seem to lack patrons/diners, when we stopped by on a weekday evening. It could be that in the evening, the area turns a little bit shady. Lots of homeless/questionble people around..so personally I don't feel as safe as a female. Overall, though for different/varied food selection, I don't mind going there..but it's not like I'm dying to go there again any time soon. I wish the businesses there well to get more foot traffic though..because it seemed, despite its newness, there seemed to be more employees than diners there.

Yelp
I walked here from my hotel recently and liked all the options for food. There were a variety of options for food, plus a bar. They also had TVs on the walls so you could watch the game or whatever else was on. Did not seem to be a lot of napkins around the place but overall had a good dinner from the burger spot. Would like to go back to visit some of the other options.

Anna H.

Yelp
We've visited this food hall a few times on our way through town and it consistently satisfies our crowd of picky eaters. With some gluten intolerant folks, one vegetarian and varying tolerance for spicy foods, it can be hard to check all the boxes. I had the birria tacos at Tinos, yum. My pickiest eater had a gluten free grilled cheese sandwich at Stackt. All were happy with their choices. Service at each kiosk was friendly and fast. We love this food hall and will be back on our next trip through Albuquerque

Yelp
I went to 505 Central for the first time during the March ABQ Art Walk and I was so excited! I ordered from Moonwalk, Tino's Tacos, and Pier None and sadly I wasn't impressed by any of those places. From Pier None, we ordered the Cajun Crawfish Toast and the Tropical Shrimp Ceviche and they were alright. The ceviche had very little shrimp which was disappointing. The Cajun seasoning on the toast was good, but the crawfish tasted very fishy which isn't a flavor I'm used to when eating crawfish. From Tino's Tacos I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and it was just an average quesadilla. Nothing out of this world. But what I was disappointed in was the wait for my food. When it was ready, the cook had given the other worker the wrong order number so after she walked around the food hall calling out the wrong number for several minutes, it just sat out until I asked about it because I had been waiting for about 20 minutes after they said it would be a 7 minute wait. The quesadilla is packed with a bunch of stuff, but after it sat out it got cold and soggy on the bottom. Nothing worse than a soggy tortilla. From Moonwalk we had a spicy jalapeño margarita and another mixed drink the bartender recommended but they tasted watered down. The spicy jalapeño margarita had very little flavor and the pink drink had a light subtle flavor. Some other friends had other types of margaritas (can't remember which types) but they all had similar comments. I will say that the bartenders were super friendly and funny which was really nice! I will definitely go back and try the tacos from Tino's and a different drink from Moonwalk. Maybe my first time to 505 Central was just a one-off experience. Next time I'll try Meateor Burgers! Someone in my group had a burger from there and they liked it. I loved the overall feel and location of the food hall. The setup is nice and I loved the outdoor patio.

Yelp
It was my first time here. Visited on a Saturday afternoon. It's situated in Downtown, Alburquerque. Parking is a little difficult, especially when you're not familiar with the area. Which I was not, but luckily I found a space. Walked around to the front of the venue. Found the sticker wall that they had there and decided to put a sticker on it. When entering the venue, at the doorway, we were greeted by a friendly staff member that went through all the rules of the social distancing. We even had to get our temperatures checked before entering which is totally fine with me. The Food hall offers 9 different local vendors. We decided on a few to try, so that next time we go back we will try the others. I really didn't do too much exploring since we had to social distance. Most of the space inside includes a huge Moon, part of Moonwalk Bev, wall of different sized globes and scripted text, by Humble Coffee. But it looks spacious there and the aroma of the different cuisines, fantastic! I couldn't wait to dig into some grub. Ate a little of everything to taste the different sustenances offered there. We tried the Poke bowl from Pier None, Teriyaki bowl from Wild Rosemary, Tonkatsu ramen from Naruto Ramen and a pizza called, "Yo Adrian!" from Thicc Pizza. All of the entrees were all different and tasty. We enjoyed the ambience and the food. We received good customer service, which is hard to come by these days. We appreciate that there is a place like this to go to and visit during this pandemic. Thank you!

Yelp
It's ooookaaay I was skeptical of this place at first but it was close by near & convenient I like the bar & the guy that was the bar tender. The manager or something he gave me a green & red striped sweater & said that his name was David. This is a good place to go if u know it's hot outside from your home state & you don't know exactly who is following you.
google avatar

Steven S.

Yelp
Love this place fun place to eat in a not too bad part of abq. They have lots and lots of food choices for anyone wanting to try just about any type of food you can think of.

Sonya A.

Yelp
Check this place out, they have a variety of great spots for food and drinks and even coffee early or certain days. I love the Naruto sushi and moonwalk. The pizza was thic and good I tried the supreme.10/10 We will be back.
google avatar

Donna S.

Yelp
Fun, lots of choices and good food. Friendly staff and the atmosphere is eclectic. The local beer was great at the bar!

Robert H.

Yelp
Greek salad was outstanding. Manager was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place for people visiting Albuquerque, due to the different food vendors, providing several different choices for varied preferences.
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
To me a food hall or food court conjures visions of teens hanging out and the accompanying loudness. But this is not your average hangout. With a downtown location it is easily accessible- if you can find parking. As it gets later the available parking gets harder to find, unless you park in a pay to park location. There are a couple of bars, including a micro brewery, eateries include Mexican, burgers, pizza & Italian foods. Also there's Kukri Chicken - been there for some excellent chicken! If you're hungry and downtown you may want to make a stop here.
google avatar

Peter W.

Yelp
Another place that knows what it is, and I appreciate that. Great vibe, open seating, good selection. From other reviews I went with the kukri chicken with queso and fries combo. Coupled with a nice lager I'm really pleased and would recommend. The spicy has some kick. The chicken was nicely done and with some green chilis had good flavor. All by myself :( so didn't try anything else, but people seemed happy around me and the other food looked good. Definitely worth a try if you want a great casual place to hang out.
