505 State

I toured 505 State while searching for a new apartment in the area, and while I liked the building’s design, I felt it offered fewer amenities than other nearby buildings. The gym was great, but the coworking space felt limited, and the plant room felt like a missed opportunity for a more usable resident space.

I recently moved into 505 State and found the leasing and move-in team to be exceptional. Alexa and Kate did a great job helping me through the leasing process, going out of their way to address my questions and being incredibly responsive throughout the process. Everything went through flawlessly and I am enjoying all that this building has to offer. Thank you Alexa Hinton and Kate Pessin.

Front desk and management have always been very friendly, caring and responsive! Especially Robert and Rey :) Amenities are amazing (will miss the plant room so much) and building is well maintained with great events and building app (shout out to bldg manager Kerry). After moving out to a new building I really miss how positive and warm this building has been. Only issue I’ve had is my apartment was on a lower floor and faces the main road- lot of noise from sirens, loud music from street fairs etc. Can also feel subway sometimes under the building. Choose higher floor if possible

All the staffs are super friendly BUT!!!! If you’re considering signing a lease here, read the break-lease / early termination clause VERY carefully. When you sign, they basically reserve the right to charge early termination fees “based on their own assessment,” and in practice it can be extremely costly. In my case, the only options I was given were: 1. Pay a break-lease fee equal to 3 months of rent — which is about $12,000, or 2. Find someone to take over the lease — BUT the new tenant would not receive any of the original concessions (such as free months / rent promotions). That means even if you try to do the “responsible” option and find a lease assignee, the offer becomes much less attractive to potential renters. Honestly, it feels like the policy is designed to discourage lease takeover and push tenants toward paying the termination fee. If you’re not 100% sure you can stay for the full lease term, I strongly recommend not renting here.

I recently moved out of 505 and I just want to say how much I appreciated living there. The front desk staff was always incredibly friendly and helpful—they truly made it feel like home. The maintenance team was just as great: quick to respond, professional, and always made sure the amenities were well-maintained and running smoothly. Also, big kudos to the management team. They were communicative, respectful, and genuinely seemed to care about the residents’ experience. Overall, a well-run building with a great team behind it. Highly recommend!

Really great staff (can't thank them enough), apartments and some really good amenity spaces - theatre room, 2 lounges, small pool during the summer, spacious gym, office spaces and an amazing green room. The reservation for these spaces are pricey though.

I've been living in the building since October 2024 and loving it! It's a beautiful building with inspiring amenity spaces. The gym is fully-loaded and looks better than most Equinox locations, which don't come with a peaceful garden room landscaped to perfection and a chic co-working space. Don't forget BBQ'ing on the 42nd floor cabanas with stunning views of the bay and city. Building staff is great, helpful, and always available. Maybe most importantly, it feels like a community — everyone I've met is super friendly.
