50’s Diner Hervey Bay

Make some extra holes in your belt. The diner rocks and provides the absolute happiest food comas consistently. Bar none. Loaded pulled pork sweet potato fries. Lunch of champions. The staff are really friendly and welcoming too. Love this place. Make sure you get a pic with Elvis and either a coffee or shake to go at the very least, never disappoints.

Go for their lunch menu which starts at 1030am — Their Wonderful World Beef Brisket Burger is AMAZING. Melt in your mouth brisket and the most savoury juicy bite is worth every penny spent. The portion can easily feed 2pax, I shared this and a milkshake with my husband. The milkshake is not bad, a literal milkshake (not smoothie consistency), which is good!

I’m from Sydney and went for lunch here with my family. It has a great atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and polite, especially the young man that took our order as it was large and he kept up with us. He read back through the order to make sure he had it correct. The meals are fantastic in both taste and size! I struggled to get through it all! Didn’t have to wait long for our meals. There is even Elvis sitting out the front on a bench for photos if you wish.

4.7 stars?????? This was the worst burger I have had in a long time. I paid 18$ for a horrible burger. Nothing was good. The steak was horrible, even a maccas steak would have been better. The onions were raw, sauce was gross, and bread not good at all. Honestly go to Maccas it’s tastier. I don’t understand the other reviews « good food »… Another thing. We waited 30 minutes for the food. Place looks nice

This café has a unique and thoughtfully designed atmosphere — you can tell the owner put a lot of heart into it. The service was lovely and welcoming, which really added to the experience. The environment is relaxing and special, definitely worth a visit for the vibe and coffee. That said, the cleanliness was just okay, and the food was fairly average in taste. Still, overall a nice place to spend time.

The hotdog sandwiches are amazing. You get to build your own but the flavours really blend well together. Must try when in Hervey bay. The sweet potato chips are also crispy and not oily, perfectly seasoned. We also had mango smoothie and strawberry milkshake which are okay. Service is great although we did notice the tables were kinda sticky and menus were wet when we sat down.

Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere. The bacon and egg roll was to die for. This place is always full so get in early they do breakfast and lunch. Just across the road from the beach street parking and wheelchair accessible. Great value for money. Well done Kelly

All I can say is WOW! From the perfect theme to the minor touches like trivia and facts on the table, this place is unreal. We went to the diner for breakfast and it did not disappoint. I got the maple bacon pancakes and my partner got the waffles. The serving sizes were huge and decently priced, I’d recommend only 1 waffle per person. Unfortunately I’m not local but when I return to Hervey Bay I’ll be sure to drop in again.
