I am returning a pants and the website says it’s easy return and it turned out that it is NOT! I’ve been waiting for 23 minutes now, the guy on the cashier he says he’s new and he have to call “ the lady” who knows. What a BS! Why would you hire a person who doesn’t know how to process returns. Now I’m still waiting! Today is Sunday 8/17

Good shop, a wide range of clothes, employee was obliging and quick-witted, thanks a lot. There was an amazing collection of chevrons, but I was a bit upset because they weren’t for sale. I was there on 28 December 2024.

I just bought knife and it is so cool. This knife was very light and sharpened. Love the atmosphere in this place. And ofc cashier is very polite and have excellent knowledge in each things or equipment. Thanks!

All the staff were so nice and offered their assistance. Store was neat and I was able to find everything I needed. The young man who assisted me offered to look for sizes in the back if I didn’t find it on the floor and did so. Will definitely return to this store.

For all tactical apparel and toys make sure to check this place. They have a excellent selection of pants, both nylon and denim. Tshits, polos, and button downs. They also have tactical shoes and boots. The staff is super friendly and helpful!!! The store is really clean and organized!!!!

I’ve spent a lot of time and money buying, trying, and tearing up gear. 5.11 is the only place I will drop $$ knowing the gear is tough as nails. I bought the S.O.M.S. 3.0 for Camera gear and needed to swap it out for a different color. Will and Patrick at the Fairax store took care of my exchange with no issue. Thanks dudes—see yall next time.

Ordered a backpack online but because there were a couple factors that left me wondering if it would be cancelled, I decided to call the store and see if they had one in stock and would honor the price I paid for it days ago. Tara was able to find the bag in a different color which I was fine with to place it on hold for me and honor the price I paid online after showing the receipt. She also pointed out that there were patches that would be included with my purchase (I added a pouch and pants) which was a nice surprise! All in all, great experience from over the phone to checkout. Will definitely come back due to service alone.

Terrible service! She was too busy on her phone to even greet us when we came in, but she looked up to greet everyone else that entered in the store after us.

Very friendly staff. Upon walking in your greeted and asked if you need help. The store was fully stocked and very clean. This location has a bigger clearance section than the other locations. But the XL+ clearance items are usually sold out. They have sanitizer and the employees were wearing masks properly. Which is a plus during C-19. Also the store had good ventilation and the AC was on which is another plus. The cashier and manager were both very friendly, Highly professional & social. The general crowd is middle class really. Mainly Police, Fire & Military customers. The noise level was normal for a retail store. Mainly adults shopping. No kids really. It's located inside a shopping center so parking is not really a issue. I was asked to pay via Credit Card. So unsure if they aren't taking cash permanently or it was just temporary for that day. I would call before going. Overall A++, Just wish they had more XL+ clearance items. Love 5.11

Nice store! Great products! Some sale items were cheaper than Amazon or other online prices! Free cup of Black Rifle Company Coffee! The staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of gear and clothes to choose from.

Found out today there is a massive sale starting on the 23rd of this month. This is a company store sale. I also wrote another review on here that seems to have vanished. The combat boots I took a picture of are the type of shoe I will need for my job. The are light weight and strong from what I have seen. The staff members I spoke with are cool and down to earth. I look forward to coming back here to get those boots in two weeks time.

Don't judge. Depending upon your profession ... 5.11 is a fact of life. Stopped-in to pick up some pants. Every man hates shopping for pants. Free cup (or 3?) of Black Rifle Coffee Company... A couple reviews I see here are asinine. 90% of the 5.11 customer base is LE, Mil, and some flavor of public service... They'd be instantly offering a mark-down to MOST customers. That makes no sense to me. That'd be like REI offering out-doorsy people a discount. Derp. These kinds of clothing and accessories are professional necessities. I am happy to have more places to purchase them these days. I'm wear-testing a pair of tactical skinny jeans as I type!! Good stuff. Great prices. Thanks 5.11!

How can I just give no stars. For example my husband loves the brand and spends hundreds per year in different stuff from 5.11 Yesterday we went to buy some sale items and it was great. But I spotted a tank top with an orange sticker for $15 and I say ok let me buy that as a separate transaction. My husband bought like 60, I bought like 100, and when I decided to pay separately for the 15 tank top the cashier told me she can do more transactions for me . Strike 1. Then she said oh this item is not on sale, but I thought hello this has an orange sticker placed by your employees showing the price f 15. So the item was full price $42. Strike 2. I said well the whole rack was with those prices ranging between 12, 15, or 20. Because it was 70% off. She went and look at the whole sales rack and evidently found all tank tops on sale there. Then she comes and said only can give you 10% off and that particular style was not. Strike 3 I told her can i talk to your manager, she said no we don't have one. The 2 cashiers are the managers. Strike 4 I told her this is the first time in a store they marked their items with sales prices and on top of that orange sticker showing a number and they don't grant their price. That's wrong misleading false advertising and if they make a mistake well they don't grant one time to customer and fix the price for the rest of the rack. They lost me as a customer and I am converting my husband to stop buying there.

I've heard great things about 5.11 and how helpful the staff was unfortunately, I didn't have that experience at all. There were two employees, one who briefly spoke to the available pants and the other was on the phone the entire time. If you're in need to 5.11 clothing, I highly recommend going to another location.

I must say that customer service wins over the product being sold and this was very clear for the 5.11 location in Fair Lakes. I am a long time 5.11 brand supporter and I was so excited when I learned that there was a new 5.11 store near my office. Unfortunately during my initial visit, I was able to walk around the entire store without a single employee asking if I needed any assistance. The store was hardly full and the majority of the employees were huddled at the register, chit chatting amongst themselves. Because I really like the 5.11 Brand, I returned to that location recently with my girlfriend, to show her some of the items I liked. Again as we entered and walked around the store, not a single employee engaged us. I will continue to purchase 5.11's but only via online. Poor customer service.

Was very disappointed that they refused cash. As a vet a would have hoped for better from them.

5.11 Brand is excellent quality! 5.11 retail stores follow their quality mark of excellence. I own a lot of 5.11 clothing. This is the first 5.11 retail store I have visited, what a pleasant and professional experience. The store itself was very clean and extremely well organized. The store employees were very helpful and knowledgeable, they had useful opinions and practical experience with the products. I will definitely be back to visit this store often, to fill my 5.11 needs.

Let me start off by saying my husband loves this store, the employees not so much. First time in the store my husband was looking for boots we were waiting patiently for some help, no one came. Turns out the clerk was right besides us talking with his "buddy". Ok fine we found what we were looking for by ourselves. Husband says I really like these knives. I say perfect I'll come back for Christmas. I walk in look at knives, gentleman walks up and says "Can I help you?" When I start to ask about the knives he says those are "expensive as hell". I know I looked like a mess but what kind of sales tactic is that? Did I not look like I can afford that? I want to say I heard him say he's the store manager. Turns out he's the same guy who was too busy talking to help the first time I came in. Oh and I bought my husband the dirk just not from there. The manager could use a refresher on humility and kindness and perhaps some classes in sales etiquette. Again great store love the product support the product dislike the service.

Store was well organized and I was offered help by an employee. However, when I asked if they had a military discount, I was told "not in their stores." I find it hard to believe that I can get a military discount from stores like Under Armour, but 5.11 Tactical doesn't offer one. I think they need to consider changing their marketing plan.

I'm a newbie with a recurve bow, went in yesterday to learn about compound bows. Faron could not have been more helpful. They were busy (it was Saturday) but I just got in the queue and he outfitted a Mathews bow for me to try out. He was patient and very helpful. The bows are pricey - although Hoffman's price is good - so I didn't impulse buy. I put it on my Christmas list instead. But if you're going to buy, buy here. I will.

Hooray, a 5.11 store nearby! It looks like they opened within days, and the selection of tactical clothing and gear is increasing as they go along. Great customer service here, and ample parking in the shared lot.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful sales team. If you need the best fitting clothing and gear, go no where else. Quality products and proven solutions to modern conceal carry clothing.
