Tampa Book and Sip Club hosted our monthly book club here and it was fantastic!! The cocktails were creative and delicious, and the vibe was cozy yet elevate. Exactly what we wanted for a fun, Hollywood themed night. The vibe was perfect!!!

Love this bar! Amazing bourbon selection and such well crafted cocktails! The happy hour specials are awesome and the atmosphere is welcoming yet sophisticated. The bartenders are friendly and the decor is classy. Great place to watch a football game at the bar or celebrate a special event with friends. The vibe is so fun and I look forward to coming back here again really soon!

Absolutely love 511! I came last night with my book club, and once again, it did not disappoint. The vibes were spot-on—great music, cozy yet energetic atmosphere, and the drinks were fantastic as always. Special shoutout to Reed, who is truly the most amazing and accommodating host. He made sure everything ran smoothly for our group and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His energy and hospitality always elevate the experience. I also come to 511 regularly outside of book club, and it’s consistently one of my favorite spots in town. Whether it’s a casual night out or a special gathering, this place delivers every time. Can’t recommend it enough!

Oh yes. This is the place. Downtown Tampa is ITCHING for places like 511 where professionals can meet and mingle. On week nights it’s much more slow and friendly, but I love every second of it. Great wine and Marlee is my favorite!

We stopped in after my birthday dinner at Malios a few blocks away and this place did not disappoint! The music and the vibe was on point! It was busy for a Wednesday night and it was great!! Will definitely be back to have another drink!

511 Franklin was part of a golf cart bar crawl that we participated in. This was the first bar and really set the tone for the rest of the bar crawl. We came during happy hour where drinks were 50%. Service at the bar was pretty straight forward but lacked warmth or a feeling welcomed. The espresso martini I had was delicious and strong. Would I come back? Maybe but maybe at a table as opposed to the bar.

Drinks are trash and overpriced. Asked for a 1942 Lemon drop, taste like watered down lemonade. Stay away from their drinks

We popped in before our dinner reservation across the street and it was happy hour. The happy hour deals were great because the drinks were half off. Full price cocktails are expensive, though. The drinks were good and it's really cool inside with the decor and vibe of the building.

Walking around to find a place to have some drinks and to dance a little, we found ourselves at '511 franklin'. The place has a good energy, great music and nice space to have fun. The service was fantastic. Though the place did get a little too overcrowded as the night progressed, we had a blast. Would like to go again.

Used to be the best happy hour in town until they implemented a 20% service charge in April 2025. They take 20% of the before-happy hour price which makes the happy hour not a great deal anymore. Go anywhere else for a better happy hour deal.

We first came to 511 on a Sunday afternoon to watch the pats game. Interior was really cool with fun bar seats and friendly staff. Cocktails were super delicious, I tried the espresso martini (yum) and Moscow mule. Food was average but expected for a bar scene. We tried the Cuban sandwich and pretzel bites. This isn't a place you come to for the food, but it tastes good as you're cheering for a football game or enjoying drinks with friends!

I met people here after work on a weekday- it wasn't super busy which I enjoyed. I heard on the weekends it's a dance club at night, which isn't quite my vibe and I'm not reviewing that. My drink was strong and the food was tasty! The nachos were wide so toppings could get to most of the chips and the charcuterie was delish.

Well it looks like after going a second time that they don't really want to offer the food much. It's to bad because the food really is quite good. But if they aren't wanting to push it I'm kind of turned off. I really think if they offered it more and want diners they would increase the profit and client base. It still has a nice look and feel and the staff is very friendly and positive.

Came here on a bar crawl and this spot is so upscale! We sat at the bar and the bartender recommended all the best drinks! Definitely recommend the espresso martini, and we were told this place has happy hour on Sundays! We will definitely be back!

This establishment is outright RACIST and SEXIST, and I strongly urge anyone considering visiting to think twice. My friends and I had a reserved table, yet when our two Mexican friends tried to join us, they were told they needed to purchase two bottles to meet a supposed "minimum." Meanwhile, women faced no such requirement. Let's be clear: this wasn't about money--these men are doctors at Tampa General, more than capable of contributing. This was about targeting and excluding them because of their ethnicity and gender. Despite their willingness to buy drinks and a bottle, it took five attempts just for them to even sit at our booth and then ultimately they still asked them to leave to force them to buy. Frustrated by the mistreatment, they ultimately left. Other tables with mixed gender groups didn't have any minimums at all, making it obvious this policy wasn't applied fairly. Women and men were open freely to enter other booths and no one said anything. Later that night, three white men casually entered our booth after our tab was closed, and no one cared. White men were allowed to stay, contribute NOTHING, and go unchecked, while my Mexican friends who had money and would have contributed were made to feel like they didn't belong. When I addressed this with the GM, "Regina, or "Redina" her response was dismissive and insulting. She claimed it was my job to notify her staff about the uninvited men, despite their prior micromanagement of my mexican friends. When I asked whether my friends would have been treated differently if they identified as female, she and her VIP table partner actually laughed on my face. Their mockery was disgusting, especially given that I have family in the LGBTQ+ community. This place has no integrity or respect for people of color or marginalized groups. Their actions are discriminatory, hypocritical, and shameless. If you value decency and equality, STAY FAR AWAR from this establishment. They don't deserve your support.

Beautiful new bar located downtown Tampa. As of this review, it has been open for a couple of months. The decor is outstanding very classy, they have a huge bar with bottles of liquor adorning the bar. Also have several televisions as well as tables and booths. The staff are all gorgeous. Service was very good and the drinks are delicious. They advertise that it's 23 and up to avoid some of the younger college crowd. Their hours are Monday 3PM-12AM. Tuesday 3PM-12AM, Wednesday 3PM-1AM, Thursday 3PM-2AM, Friday 3PM-3AM, Saturday 12PM-3AM and Sunday 12PM-12AM. They offer snacks and handhelds as well as charcuterie board for food, but I did not eat anything at this visit. They have a great wine list and mostly Florida brewery beer selections. Their craft cocktails are fantastic with creative names like money for nothing and aspire to retire. I had a glass of red wine and my friend had the. Blind Witness: Redemption Rye Whiskey, Averna, Punt E Mes. Definitely a very nice place to go with upscale service and open late.

Be careful. My wife and her friend were drugged by the bartender last night. After only 2 cocktails we almost had to take them to the hospital. Both of them became violently ill minutes apart about 15 minutes after drinking a cocktail they got from the bar by themselves. I had to run off 3 guys who were following and taking turns trying to give girls one of their "extra drinks". It was creepy the way they were targeting girls that looked like they were without dates. NEVER GO HERE

This may be my new favorite Tampa bar! I went to 511 on a Wednesday night but it wasn't too busy. We sat and got the $10 espresso martinis they were apparently canned but tasty. They serve a massive espresso martini that I will be back for. Phillip is the best bartender and so nice. I got the Italian sandwich on Cuban bread and it was a nice treat! I will be coming back it's such a fun space and well run!

Strict dress code at the door. The ambiance is cool and so is the music. The drinks are crazy overpriced but the bartenders are fast. Bottle service available there as well.

Love the ambiance of this new bar located in downtown Tampa. If you are familiar with the Stanton and Bowery restaurant group, this is the first location brought to the Tampa Bay area. They ID for 23+ so be prepared to show your ID at the door. The bar is full service with specialty handcrafted cocktails. Depending on your preference there seems to be a nice selection from bottom to top shelf liquors. I went with the Manhattan and was pleasantly surprised as I'm typically an Old Fashioned girl. This was a little sweeter but with a rye whiskey it was a nice balance. Now let's talk about the food---this is a primarily cold kitchen restaurant so you'll notice they serve light bites and handhelds but don't let this sway you. The chef is definitely doing his thing in the kitchen to create some nice concepts that are enjoyable. The buffalo chicken wrap was fantastic and served hot with a side of the best chips I ever had! They are dusted with a seasoning that really turns this side into the star of the plate. They have been open just a short 9 weeks but I'm already impressed and can't wait to return to check out more menu items.

Not good music if you're trying to dance and are not Caucasian. Terrible vibes. Music choose is terrible.

Heard about this bar from co-workers. I was definitely expecting a much younger crowd, but for a Friday it was jammin. I did find a spot at the bar, drinks were good(definitely coming back for happy hour as it's 50% the entire tab). Food menu is super limited, but heard it was good, just didn't want a sandwich. Fun, new ,upbeat bar in Tampa!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Very over priced and below average. Customer service is atrocious, the food is very mediocre, and the whole venue needs a good cleansing so no one gets sick. Plenty of fine restaurants and bars all around so don't waste your time here.

My experience was horrible here. Kenny touched me so inappropriately while I was in line. Then he didn't let my friends in because of his shorts not having belt loops.::but the 3 people in front of me had ripped jeans and sweat "shorts" on. Horrible experience and I will be making sure Kenny does not have a job there anymore.

Cool, fun bar that's 23+. They have a great happy hour & at $50 huge espresso martini. The charcuterie board is great & the bartenders were helpful when picking a drink. If you go on a weekend night try to get there early because there usually is a line & it gets packed.

Great drinks and food. The ambiance was nice and social. The bartenders are very attentive and ready to roll as soon as you walk in.

Phenomenal atmosphere and space. There is quite literally nothing like it in the vicinity. There's a reason why this establishment is constantly busy. Bar speed is excellent, prices are good and the staff is exceptional. Check it out for yourself.

This place is great for drinks and atmosphere, get there early pacer self wait for the awesome people to arrive. Make sure you eat before you go there, limited menu get the beef sandwich. if you must eat.

In order to attend their events you must make a reservation. The only way to make one is to call a number that no one picks up and the voicemail is not active or submitting a form online where you have to get a confirmation email that never comes line to get in was over 2 hours for a subpar sound system where in line you can hear the music from the Greek restaurant close by instead of the well known artist at 511

I normally do not throw this term lightly but how I was discriminated last night makes me believe I am using the term accurately... this place is racist ... it was very clear the kind a crowd they were welcoming ...despite my friends and I being on a list which was confirmed at the door and we were instructed to do a line ... some one from this establishment proceeded to follow us to the line and then tell us we couldn't get in line at all . Couldn't give us an explanation he just said he is not sure who told us to do a line but we just couldn't be there ... we tried getting answers multiple times and the answer was we just couldn't be there . My money is the same money that the blonde in front of me had. It was clear that we didn't fit the stereotype of woman they were letting in and he specifically came to us to get us out of the line. It's 2023 DO BETTER

Just another Douchebag place with no character. Music is way too loud and the 10 years old playlist is on endless loop. Even Ken and Barbie have more facial expressions and a better attitude than the bartenders and servers at this place.

Great atmosphere with good music. However, after about 10pm the music gets ungodly loud as if they are trying to place music in Amalie Arena. If they made the music to where I can somewhat hear someone talk to me without shouting, this would be the best bar in Tampa.

I had the absolute worst experience here last night and didn't even make it inside. My friends and I were on the VIP list and got in line as directed by the staff because we were on the VIP list, there were plenty of other white people in that line but some asshole that seemed to be staff targeted us (we were the ONLY non white people there) and told us he doesn't know why she told us to stand there that there is no VIP line and being blatantly racist towards us. When clearly there was a VIP line. He was rude as hell, he has no idea who he turned away, and all we were trying to do was spend money and enjoy a night out. I have never experienced something so blatantly racist, disgusting and rude. If all the staff is like this and this is how 511 likes to treat paying customers then I will never support this establishment. This is not a safe place for anyone of any other nationality, hell, they won't even let you in. Don't waste your time or money. Go elsewhere. If I could give this place zero stars I would. OH and just to add- we ended up getting into the Edition instead which is actually ELITE so that goes to tell you it's not like we were rude or dressed incorrectly. They're literally just fucking racist.

i got assaulted by a guy who was friends with a bartender there and the bouncers kicked me out... if you are a girl. dont recommend. you'll get assaulted and they wont care. thought i had to get the police involved. unfortunate situation because the rest of the staff is nice. i was extreme scared for my safety.
