Such a cute little space and very friendly service! Came in and tried the Trick and Treat drinks they have for spooky season and they were both so good!! I can’t decide which one I like best lol definitely will be coming here a lot more

LOVE this coffee shop. Never have had a bad coffee here. You can tell the people that work here really care about making good coffee. The bananas fosters latte here is probably me and my boyfriend’s favorite coffee we’ve ever had- we wish it was a year round special!!

517 roasts damn good coffee. We had the pleasure of doing a coffee roasting class with the owner James a while back and he patiently walked my husband and I through the entire process. It was so cool to see and his attention to detail means every bag you pickup is quality! The lattes and espresso based drinks are always great! If I had to choose a favorite on the regular menu it'd be the Carmel latte (to-go) and a cortado if I'm drinking it there. Our new favorite family tradition is bringing some books and reading there on a Sunday morning so we've been enjoying the seasonal flight, I love that they always have interesting rotational drinks! TLDR; go order a coffee!

Beautiful small coffee shop. I love the idea and practice of sustainably resourced coffee that positively affects the communities involved. I bought a bag here and a cup of their Guatemalan kind. It was flawless and delicious. At the price you pay it's well worth it than some peppermint drizzle vente grande sugar snap latte. I will revisit to get more coffee and they have a subscription that I will take part in too so I can get real coffee. Love it, inclusive, you won't be disappointed, grab a cup, grab a bag, enjoy.

I tried all the other third wave roasters in Lansing and this place was by far the best. Very legit. Great cortado.

I first tried 517 a couple of years ago when I was trying to find a place to get a pourover. It's become on of my favorite local business - not just favorite coffee place. I know they get lots of visitors getting their coffee drinks, but I love that they have multiple options for a pure pourover. There's always an interesting roast to enjoy, and the baristas are happy to share their knowledge and love of coffee. I usually only get in once a week, but that makes it special.

Try the Spicy Mocha ! Their grilled cheese sandwich and specialty Toast are tasty ! They also sell cinnamon rolls, cookies, brownies, all very tasty ! They also have 'Mug club ' and loyalty programs that earn generous rewards Definitely a win for coffee enthusiasts.

Extremely friendly staff and DELICIOUS coffee. My partner loves the different coffee bean bag flavors/origins available for purchase. He learned that he loved the undertones of fermented coffee beans and is excited to be able to support local while still enjoying ~fancy~ coffee at home. Black coffee or frou-frou coffee, you won't be disappointed!
