Yelp
Had been to their original location which was very tiny with a few tables. This is larger, although not huge, but is more roomy and comfortable with the several booths on each side of the room. The menu is really huge with plenty of options for anyone. We ordered 7 rolls and they were all very good, especially for the price - around $12 each. They were all large and quickly prepared. The fish was fresh, but not always the same cut you get at much more expensive places (as expected), but for the price unbeatable. Service was great and attentive. And unlike many places, they brought all the rolls together. Will definately return. One of the true bargains in San Diego.

Yelp
While I appreciate the newer and larger location, the original spot is still an all time fave. The service is great & the menu is mostly the same. The food still tastes great, pricing is slightly higher at this location.

Yelp
Second location of an established Linda Vista sushi spot, and a nice addition to this part of the neighborhood. We just wanted a small snack on the way home and decided to try it out. They have a pretty good looking happy hour menu. My fiancé and I ordered hand rolls off it. Both were very tasty and the fish seemed high-quality and fresh. I did think they skimped a little bit on the salmon on that hand roll, but the spicy tuna one was packed. We also ordered the Linda Vista roll and it was BOMB. Most of the other rolls had imitation crab on them and that's why I initially chose this one, but I thought it was lovely and the little bit of lemon zest on top of it the perfect amount of tang. We also thought their green tea was really good. Our server was super friendly and attentive. I appreciated that she paid attention to us, but did not overwhelm us or hover. The menu is really extensive, a lot of other Japanese dishes besides just sushi dishes. Sometimes that can be concerning because how can any place make that many things well.... But what we tried was quite good, so I'm willing to return with an open mind! I thought that the rice bowls and the noodle dishes looked really interesting and seemed to be competitively priced. The interior of this restaurant looked completely different than it did before. They did a good job with the remodel. There's also a sushi bar to sit at if you've got a smaller party and it's busy because the booths are all quite large.

Yelp
So excited there's a new sushi place in our neighborhood!!!! Came here with my daughters and ordered the Garlic shishito peppers, two salmon hand rolls, a Rainbow Protein Roll, a baked Salmon Roll and a Shrimp Yakitori. EVERYTHING was great! The service, the food, the price! We will definitely be coming back here! The menu is huge. So much to choose from. Can't wait to try all they have to offer. Looks like they have a really good happy hour. To be continued!

Yelp
We've been going to their original location for years and really love it. While this new location is a lot bigger and newer in comparison, it just isn't as good. Food took a long time to come out, service can use some work, and parking is somehow even worse. Linda Vista Roll: 4/5 Slightly on the dry side compared to their other location Chirashi bowl: 3/5 Very average bowl of fish, about the same quality as what you would find at Japanese supermarkets. The fried shrimp head was good. Curry rice with shrimp: 2/5 The curry was extremely extremely salty, the soy sauce flavor was overwhelming the curry spices. Shrimp was fried nicely.

Yelp
Been a fan of the original location off of Ulric in Linda Vista. Noticed they were opening the new location in Morena and decided go in for the grand opening. The food at the new location tasted the same as the original location. Love the curry and sashimi. The matcha tiramisu is definitely great for all the matcha lovers. Got an Oolong highball and it tasted amazing for a cheap price. No idea what's in it but not complaining. We did have some issues with orders not arriving and them not having a dessert. Probably just typical opening day nerves. Staff was nice about working with us through the issues. The location is pretty different from the original one. Way more space and a larger drink menu. Love how they still have the tiny figures of Japanese food and drinks. Parking will be rough in this area too.

Yelp
It's located in a shopping strip that has parking but it can be a little tight. Prices were affordable. Service was attentive and quick. Food were subpar, though. The menu seemed promising but the taste didn't deliver well for us. We had the following: * raw oysters topped with tobiko and ponzu - good but had a fishy after taste * U.S. wagyu&uni nigiri - Yes, I know it's not A5 wagyu but it was the worse type of beef used. It looked and tasted like the beef that would be used for yakiniku. And the uni looked like one piece split in half for the order. The uni was also of low quality. * ama-ebi nigiri with deep fried heads - not as sweet of a taste * Yorimichi roll - good and presented nicely * salmon roll - basic but thicker cut of salmon would be nice (looks ok in my picture but definitely not as full looking in person) * chirashi bowl - A variety of sashimi on a bed of sushi rice. I wish it was Hokkaido scallops instead of baby scallops that's usually served in poke bowls or fried rice. Unfortunately, as I was about to finish and picked up the shrimp head, there was a piece of hair that was fried with it. Gross but it was at the end of my meal. I chose not to bring it to their attention, per my guest's request. Management, if you're reading this review, I hope you review the kitchen staff's proper hair safety rules with your team to prevent another mishap with another order.

Yelp
Thrilled to see a second location open with more seating, makes dining in much more comfortable. I ordered the Mackerel Carpaccio, Sashimi Carpaccio, Garlic Shishito Peppers, Surf & Skate Roll, and the Wagyu Beef Yakitori entrée. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared, with the exception of the Wagyu skewers, which were unfortunately overcooked and a bit chewy. Still, the quality and presentation across the board were impressive, and prices remain reasonable. Service is always top-notch. This has officially become my go-to spot for sushi.

Yelp
I was super excited to see a second location open up! I took a friend here since she was really hoping to have some rolls and I remembered trying their original location some time ago. The service was really great and we were helped really quickly. We really enjoyed our rolls but the nigiri was a miss for us. However, for the price point, we agreed we'd be back to try some rolls in the future!

Yelp
They opened up a new spot! This location is a lot bigger than their 1st location. Quality of food is still the same consistency. I got the creamy salmon udon, which although yummy, the one thing is that the salmon was a little dry. Everything else about the dish was delish tho! I also got two sushi rolls of course. We got the crush orange and the rainbow protein. I wish the crush orange had lemon slices, as I wasn't really able to taste the lemon juice on the roll, but still good nonetheless as I live for salmon sushi. Rainbow protein roll was so good! I loved that it had no rice in it and had a variety of fish. The sauce it came with paired nicely as well.

Yelp
New spot in town, second time coming and food has been consistent, tasty, and lots of variety! Healthy portions with great pricing! Would definitely come back and recommend. Linda vista roll is our favorite! Hand rolls also have good amount of fish. Quality of fish past our expectations. Hot food/rice bowls were really good, looking forward to trying other menu items. Surprised! Friendly service, attentive, and big seating booths. 5 stars for me!

Yelp
Absolutely love Sushi Yorimichi! Their new location is such a gem, identical to their OG location with a lot more space. The food and prices are so great. Definitely one of my favorite sushi spots that don't break the bank. They went above and beyond with my birthday dinner, they easily accommodated my party of 11, had our table ready when we arrived, and without even requesting it, they decorated our table with such cute birthday decor. These are the little details that set apart a good restaurant from a great one. The employees, the attention to detail, the preparation. We arrived so hungry and the food came out quick, I was not able to snap any food pictures but everyone in my party loved the sushi, yakitori, teriyaki chicken, ramen, and appetizers. Even the picky ones made a dent! The complementary birthday dessert was literally the icing on top of the cake. Thank you Sushi Yorimichi! You've gained some loyal customers out of us!

Yelp
So excited to have a new sushi spot in the neighborhood! This location is way more spacious than their sister restaurant up the road. The yakisoba was delicious and not overly saucy how some are. I loved the seaward salad, gyoza and crunchy roll! Everything was fresh and delicious! Service was friendly and great and our family has already been back since our first visit. Great vibe and great food! I would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Been going to the original location for years and this one is just as good, but bigger and closer to our house! Double win! とても美味しい日本料理

Yelp
This place is great! I never visited the original location and I don't often go to sushi restaurants or izakayas but this surpassed my expectations. The pricing is affordable and reasonable for the quality you get. I enjoyed all the sushi rolls and bowls we've ordered. The carbonara udon from here was good too. The chicken kaarage is not my favorite but not bad. Atmosphere and service is great! Hikaru Utada playing over the speakers and anime on the TV? Big thumbs up from me!

Yelp
We love going to their first location so we were really excited to try Sushi Yorimichi 2! It's bigger with several large booths and more tables. The menu is very similar and everything was delicious! My mom who hasn't been to either location even commented how the food prices are very reasonable The service was excellent and staff welcoming! Omedetou Sushi Yorimichi 2 on your Grand Opening!!

Yelp
Service was great, loved the spacious and trendy style of the inside decor. There was a wide variety of food and drink options! Everything we ordered was fresh and reasonably priced. Plenty of parking available which is a huge plus for San Diego. Our new favorite sushi spot!

Yelp
The place is dirty. Food not good for a Japanese restaurant. Dilapidated building inside and out.

Yelp
It is a great sister location to the original in Linda Vista. It has the exact same menu as the original but with expanded drinks. There are many spacious table and a lot of decorations that remind me of Japan. I ordered the deluxe bento box which came with miso salmon, tempura, potato sausage, sashimi, and miso soup. Food was excellent and well worth the price. They also have authentic Gacha Gacha from Japan which is really cool!

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed Sushi Yorimichi, and I am glad they were able to open this second location. The food was absolutely phenomenal and the service was a delight. They have an extremely diverse variety of options with some being really well priced and some higher end options, but all very tasty nonetheless. The oysters, while quite pricy, were absolutely mind blowing. The choose your own main was very well priced with good portions. I wish I could have tried everything else, and I will definitely be back to try it all. The restaurant is very comfortable and very well decorated with charming little decorations and Easter eggs everywhere you look. It also has a small bar seating area as well as booths for you to choose what is comfortable for you. 10/10 would definitely recommend this restaurant for many occasions. My compliments to the chefs and the staff, thank you for this wonderful experience!!

Yelp
Prices may be cheapers than the other places but the quality is not acceptable. Pay $1 more a roll and get a proper meal in Convoy area. Service is just so so and the place is way over-decorated in my opinion.

Chris S.

Yelp
The original is my favorite sushi spot & this one does not disappoint. Best sushi in San Diego!!

Gabriela P.

Yelp
I went on their 3rd day of the grand opening! I am a big fan of Yorimichi 1 so I am very happy for them that they are opening their second location. Menus are same as the original location, but this one has many more alcohol options which is a plus. And inside is much roomier than the original location so I will bring my family and friends next time. Food was delicious and the service was great, just as the original location. They have capsule toys machine and looked like it's straight from Japan! All the detailed decorations were very pretty. I'm so glad now they have two locations in Linda vista/USD area!

Yelp
This is a sister restaurant to the original Sushi Yorimichi that's on the corner of Linda Vista and Ulrich just a few blocks north. The food may be the same, but the restaurant is completely different. It's not large, but compared to the original it's huge. Which is to say, the original is tiny. It also has a completely different vibe. Here the walls are attractively decorated with tasteful Japanese posters; there are mainly booths (just a couple of two-tops); the lighting is relaxing; and they play soothing, soft music. It's also air conditioned. Some of the booths seat six; others are unusually deep and will easily fit 8 or possibly even 10. Plus there's a long table for a really large group, and a small sushi bar. I only had yakisoba when I went to this newly opened spot, but it was as good as I remember from when I've had it at the Ulrich location --and it was excellent there. I asked for some chili oil as an enhancement, and the server brought just the right amount in an attractive little bowl. I also enjoyed having draft Sapporo Premium to accompany the yakisoba, and it was only $6.50. I was able to sit at one of the two-tops, so I didn't get lost in one of those big booths or have to be seated at the sushi bar. Service was quite good and lacked the disorganization that some restaurants have when they first open. This is a really nice addition to the restaurant lineup in Linda Vista, and I hope they do well. Be cautious about when you go, as they close from 2:30 to 4:30 every day. And parking can be difficult anywhere in this strip mall.

Yelp
Food was great if you dont mind your server spending all her time sitting down chatting it up with her friends while the hard working Latina girl did all the work. Can you say nepotism because who else would stand the unprofessionalism from one of your employees if it wasn't a family member? Otherwise food was good. We had the sashimi carpaccio, spicy scallop hand roll, Uni and Ikura hand roll, salmon hand roll, birria ramen, and matcha creme brulee.

Robert R.

Yelp
The food was delicious!!! We had the gyoza, a crunchy roll, the fried rice and yakisoba. I also had an Orion draft beer. Everything was made perfectly and tasted just like the other location. We will definitely come back. Service was good. We are glad this spot is larger inside and the ambiance was nice. We will come back.
