540 Social - Blacksburg

Tried to asked politely for a staff member to move a plush from the back wall of one of the law machine games and she was rude and even disregarded how said I spent $10 trying to pull the plush from the back wall but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to do it because the crane simply cannot reach back there. At every other arcade I have been to, staff are always helpful when moving a plush that’s impossible to get into winnable spot. The plush doesn’t even cost that much, $2.50, and I already spent way more trying to get and I’m willing to even pay like triple to just buy from them. But nooooo

Food is good. One of the few places in town to play pinball. Kind of pricey at $1.50 per play but Thursdays it's only $0.50. They definitely cater more to the evening crowd. Tried getting lunch at noon and got a "sorry, the kitchen is closed"... at noon downtown? Staff have been hit/miss, but usually helpful.

This is pretty cool place to go. The food was great, the arcade games weren’t expensive. I really liked the axe throwing and all the games they had for it. The staff was really kind and helpful. Especially that one blonde girl, I think her name’s Becca, Becky, Beck. She was really helpful and polite.

Visiting Blacksburg, the place was recommended by a friend. It is a great spot to hang with some free options too like ping pong and pool! Becca had amazing customer service! Would come back!

I had so much fun with my fam at 540 Social today! We love the arcade games and enjoyed all of the fun drink options at the bar. Food was solid too! Catherine was our bartender and was attentive and so nice, she even took the time to learn our names. This is definitely my new favorite spot!

This is such a cool place!! Axe throwing, fun games, and great staff!! Nothing more satisfying that chucking axes and throwing stars at a wall. Becca taught well.

I loved axe throwing!!! Becca was great - helped my group out and made sure we knew what we were doing lol, i’ll definitely be headed back there!!

An evening well spent at 540 Social, axe throwing was the highlight of the night. Employees were great, Becca was super helpful and made sure we had the best time we could have!
