Great service, food and beer. Right in the middle of everything. Food we tried: Cheese curds (ordered a 2nd because so good) Seattle dog - nice smoky taste, grilled onions/jalapenos Chicken sandwich- moist chicken with a crunchy outside, little spice level Onion rings - massive Fries - crunchy and soft in middle Recommend a stop to fuel you up.

Slim Goody's is the cleanest sports bar I've ever been to. If you are looking to watch a game with your family, it's your best option in the area. I think that the level of cleanliness actual scares away the local Ballard Bros for fear that it will be too expensive. The set up inside is excellent, with four completely different areas for an ideal viewing experience. They even have TVs that you can watch outdoors, which is critical in Seattle summers. All of this makes it a fantastic place for sports and beer. Anytime I eat at a new bar, I'm going to opt for a club sandwich. It's a meal that is so difficult to mess up, that you can almost guantee it will be a solid option on the menu. As a club sandwich connoisseur, I know that there is always going to be more bread than a standard sandwich - but this thing was a bread onslaught. The ratios were just way off. Either the bread needs to be thinner, or the sandwich needs more meat. It's an easy fix that would take this American classic to the next level, because the sandwich itself was actually solid other than that. I can't take off too many points for a sandwich that still tastes good, and Slim Goody is definitely a welcomed addition to the Ballard Area.

This is a great spot to watch games. They have tons of tvs and play all the big games. There is bar seating, outdoor seating, booth seating, and table seating. They have beer on tap, full bar, wine, and cocktails. The food menu is attached. My only suggestion is more vegetarian options like a veggie burger, veggie dog, or grilled cheese. Staff is friendly and attentive even when very busy.

We originally planned to watch the Super Bowl at another bar but found out they were doing a ticketed event. Walked up the street, saw Slim Goody, and got good vibes from the crowd watching the game on the outdoor patio. Inside, there were multiple areas to watch the game. Despite the place being packed, an employee welcomed us, gave us a menu, and told us to sit wherever! Service was quick, and the crowd had great energy. We got a couple of beers, a Bloody Mary, the smash burger and fries, and wings (the BBQ flavor has a nice kick!). Definitely coming back to watch another game!

Conveniently located on the back of the Ballard Market we stumbled upon this newly opened sports bar. The initial impression was memorable. They have an open patio ststreet side. The patrons were happy and invited us in from across the short bar fence. We walked around and decided absolutely. The vibes seemed immaculate! We walk in and it is seat yourself on a Sunday. It is busy and bustling because football & hockey is back baby! So we were understanding (as one should be) and found a spot righting front of the TV on the patio. We were greeted by patrons and had a one of a kind experience. The establishment is clean! Staff is organized and checks on you regularly. Water is self serve out of a dispenser. Super nice to just get water on our own accord. Drinks: we ordered a yonder cider and peroni on tap. I was pleasantly surprised they have Peroni on tap. It's a high quality european beer. If you have sensitivities to gluten I suggest!!! It's so good and my stomach did not hurt after. The beer is made in Europe and imported here. Appetizer: we got the pickled pickle Appetizer and it was a 10/10. It was the perfect balance of sweetness and tangy. Not too much and not too little. In-between ordering our main dishes, a friendly patrons came up and offered us jello shots! This speaks to the warm and inviting environment. Truly was special and felt a little like a more mature college get together! (We are 28 &30) the jello shots were actually delicious. Not to strong but most definitely did the trick! Meals: we got the smash burger & roast chicken club (on a bed of lettuce instead of bread) SMASH burger: awesome classic burger with homemade pickles Chicken club: good portion , thick cut Great bacon. Delicious. Can't wait to come back! The owner is working on getting gluten free options as they have been apparently highly requested. It's in the works but they are very mindful wanting to provide the best brand - not the easiest route

Great space and a good vibe. We dropped in for Monday Night Football. The service was polite and friendly and we ordered a beer. Lots of monitors which was great but on a night like that, you need to keep on top of your screens so the cable menu doesn't pop up--and stay up. Menu is limited and a lot of it's fried. We had the friend cheese curds an appetizers and the batter was drenched in oil. Same with my burger. I've heard their food is good so it was likely an off night (Monday). Still, the service, space and the vibe made up for it. They have a wall of sports trading cards which is kind of cool and a big outdoor patio with screens. Next time we'll grab a seat at the horseshoe bar.

New sports bar that is a great place to catch a game! Lot of different rooms and two patios where you can sit and watch different games. They have good selections for both food and drinks and staff is friendly.

new sports bar in ballard! we were very excited about this opening up. we stopped by last friday night for a few drinks and to watch the mariners game. great service, great people and some fun drinks! we'll definitely be back again for dinner, drinks and to catch a game.

Great new addition to Ballard! Whether you are looking for a sports bar - it has you covered there!! - or a just a great spot to have a group of friends! Especially appreciate their help to ensure we could watch the BC game!! Oh and the burger was great!!

Great addition nicely laid out and good food. Curds and fish and chips were delicious. Tons of TV's. Awesome wall of baseball cards.

3 children 4 adults .. the place was not busy, everyone seated before us had their food already. We ordered 1 onion ring, 1 cheese curd, 2 of the same burgers, 1 Caesar salad, 1 fish n chip. 15 minutes - 1 burger 1 Caesar salad 15 minutes after that 1 burger and 1 fish n chip comes out 15 minutes later we speak to the server about why our table wasn't served at the same time. We were referred to the manager.. condescendingly she tells us, "they serve as things are ready", "then adds, they are new", finally "they are learning". Table/Order timing is the basic of basic restaurant knowledge, if you can't time an order you shouldn't be in business. BE AWARE* They are an "as ready" (new terminology for terrible service).

We were visiting from Kansas City MO and found this gem in the Old Ballard area. We had a 8 in our group and stopped in to watch the Seahawks game, and ended up staying to watch the Chiefs play as well. We received the best service and never had an empty glass; super attentive staff. Now let me talk about the food... SUPER SUPER YUMMM. Between all of us, we ordered Fish 'n Chips, Fried Chicken Sandwich, the Goody Smash Burger, Onion Rings and the Fried Cheese Curds. Honestly, all of us thought the food was amazing... and I'm the biggest food snob but loved everything. They had a huge alcohol selection but I'm not a beer drinker so I ordered several top shelf vodka's with cranberry juice. If you're looking for a fun place to have good food, this is the place to go to. We'll definitely visit again when we're back in Seattle.

My friends and I spotted this place during opening weekend like a beacon of fun-filled light and we've been regulars since. The service is great, the food is delicious (I'd highly recommend the cheese curds with the hot honey), the rotating cocktails are top notch, and the ambiance is perfect for a game day or a catch up after work. We've been saying for years that Ballard needed a sports bar with an indoor/outdoor feel to accommodate the ever-changing PNW climate, and our dreams came true when Slims rolled onto the block. The owners truly thought of everything putting this place together (see: the bag hooks under the main bar), and the baseball card wall is beyond iconic. If you're going to Ballard and not going to Slims - did you even really go to Ballard?

Love the atmosphere here! This place is perfect for hearing and watching sports. It's also not some dingy dark hole in the wall. It's bright and the staff are wonderful, with a nice sit down area outside that has heaters. Good food, good service, good vibes.

This is a great new sports bar with a lot of TVs and cool layout. We spent Sunday morning watching a few NFL games and will definitely be back. The food was good, my only suggestion would be to expand the brunch menu. For some reason brunch and game day specials weren't being served like the signs said the day we were there, but I'm hopeful that was just because they are new. The brunch menu only has 3 options but I hope they will add a few more options to that so that it's a good hangout spot for the early games!

This is only a review for the morning experience. We ordered a plate of potatoes, onions, egg and sausage. It was about the size of my hand and came with cold unbuttered (with no butter or jam offered) toast. We did ask for butter but since the butter and toast were cold it was too late. The breakfast sandwich was fine but also $12 for a couple steps up from an egg McMuffin. I'd say skip for their breakfast items and just get a drink. Service was also lackluster.

Great food. Great service. Great people. Great everything. A welcome addition to Ballard that I can't wait to go back to again and again. A fernet shot to Tony, for being awesome!

Highly recommend. Good food, quick service, and above average spot for watching TNF when we were there. Will definitely be back.

Fun NEW Sports Bar in Ballard!! Great Food and friendly service!! The bar area is bright and open with a great patio in the front, complete with outdoor overhead heaters for when the weather gets cooler. Plenty of BIG screen TV's for multiple viewing. There's also separate restaurant seating for families, including a big covered patio out back with corn hole and two foosball tables!! Slim Goody is a great addition to this popular neighborhood!! Will definitely be back!

This is a great place to watch sports, have a good burger and meet some amazing people. The staff is outstanding and the service is second to none. If you have a chance you should definitely check this place out!
