"There aren’t many fine dining options in Big Bear, but 572 Social is really all you need. The menu includes plenty of sharable plates, which you can enjoy on the outdoor patio when the weather is right, and mains like charred salmon with caramelized onions and grilled vegetables and seared ahi tuna steak." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"With a modern white interior, exposed wooden beams, and an outdoor bar with a custom fire pit, 572 Social wouldn’t feel out of place in most areas of Los Angeles. The food is good - this is the only place on the mountain we’d confidently recommend ingesting poke. But the overall atmosphere inside is what gets us most excited to eat here. The place is packed on the weekends with everyone listening to live music on the patio and getting a little rowdy in the process." - Brant Cox

This was the first time we had given this restaurant a try after several visits to Big Bear Lake. The food menu is more bar food than a traditional restaurant, consisting primarily of burgers, artisan pizzas, some specialty items and even food for your pet. Meaning, the restaurant is a pet friendly place. We also think it took more time than expected to be waited on and to receive our meals. The food was alright, but the prices were a little pricey, so we probably would not come back here to have lunch or dinner. Instead, this would be more of a place to have a drink, sit back and enjoy the music with friends. And we could not even imagine ordering a pizza here when right next store they have the best pizza in town. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining areas and outside tonight they had live music, which always makes for a more enjoyable evening. With the weather as beautiful as it was, we have no idea why anyone would want to be inside. There is plenty of free parking at the public parking lot behind the restaurant and limited parking along Pine Knot Avenue. As for the staff, we would give them an overall rating of neutral, nothing good or bad to report.

This is always our favorite place to relax when we are in Big Bear. The live music is generally good quality and entertaining, and the food is usually great. I especially recommend the pizzas, they are baked perfectly with crispy crust and soft inside. We liked the idea of the sauteed peppers, but they weren't very flavorful. Fries are perfect. It's not all perfect, so feedback below, but in general we really like it here and they provide great service even though they discourage tipping. The veggie burger wasn't very good, but it could be the variation we got (572 burger). The mojito used a different alcohol or something because we didn't like this version. Note that you order directly by the entrance, and they literally tell you to just skip the tipping screen. I think this is awesome, and it effectively means that this restaurant is 20% cheaper than other high quality restaurants. Highly recommend!

Google
Beautiful day in Big Bear so I was strolling around downtown when I heard some great music and stopped in! Huge outdoor patio with a live band entertaining the patrons. I waited in line, which moved quickly, while checking out the menu. I ordered the poke nachos and a cocktail. I found my way to a spot that was available and had just sat down when my nachos arrived! My drink soon followed. The nachos were stacked with fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and lots of tuna on fresh crispy wonton chips. The jalapenos and sauce brought just enough heat for delicious flavor. The staff was helpful and attentive, bringing out orders and clearing tables as they passed by. The band was lively and engaging the crowd. I met a great local couple while enjoying the ambiance and food. It’s definitely a favorite place of mine!

Google
It is a mixed feeling dining here. We could not find any seats anywhere else and we ended up here. It looks really nice both inside and outside and everyone seems busy. Hybrid service means they are short of hands as everyone else due to various of reasons. We do a lot of things ourselves like waiting in line to order and finding a table ourselves. Then before we sit and get any service, we have to tip right after order is confirmed. Not sure whether this is part of the hybrid service. But it does not make me feel too comfortable as people are behind me and the waiter is waiting for me to finish the transaction. I am not against tipping, but I am against forced tipping as my money does not fall from the sky by itself. I also work hard for it. My food is too dry and we constantly have to grab the persons behind bars to refill our water or get anything else. She does not seem happy or unhappy, just have to stop her from doing whatever she is doing. If hybrid means everyone’s able to help you, that seems also no one is responsible to help. Or I am just wrong? I did not complain the food being over frying and dry. I don’t want to wait for a long time to have the remade and sitting in the high chair and tiny table to wait. I have to say, I might have just been unlucky that day. A lot of places due to labor shortage have significant service quality decline. I prefer to eat at home if I could to avoid the disappointment especially the cost of eating out is getting higher. I hope everyone gets good service. Big Bear Lake is a nice place to visit and to relax overall.

Google
Very friendly and attentive staff! Good food! Good portion too. Awesome outdoor vibe. We got 2 kids meals and they’re good. Cali burger was also delicious. Tamarind Margarita is different and tastes nice :)

Google
I LOVE THIS PLACE! I’ll be very honest upfront, the food is not good. Like at all. No flavor on anything but I guess it’s American food. I love it for the atmosphere and drinks. We have a wee baby so it’s nice to go out, grab a snack and chill by the outdoor fire pit area. We’ve met a lot of fun people and parents here. The live music is awesome although it’s not very diverse from what I’ve seen. I wish they’d get more groups of different genres to come play music. Anyway, it’s fun, loud, and there are places to chill and relax further away from the music where we tend to perch ourselves, and then there’s seating closer to the music as well. Lots of seating and all of the staff have been very kind, helpful, and respectful.

Google
Great big patio area and really good food. They have a huge outdoor patio, which is dog friendly. They also had live music from 2pm on, with 2 different bands playing. They have heat lamps and a large outdoor fire pit for when it gets a little chilly. The service is super fast and everyone was super friendly there, patrons and servers.

Susan Friedman

Google
Enjoyed a cold evening out on the patio with a huge fireplace, delicious Kentucky Apple Mules, pizza, & fried cauliflower bites. Our two dogs loved it as well! Only ONE issue - the 1 man band quit too early. But thanks for a great evening!!

Stefani T.

Yelp
Live music, soccer on the TV screen, and a beautiful outdoor space. We ordered sweet potato waffle fries and wheat beer to kick it and relax. Ordering is easy at the bar kiosk nearest the entrance. We were given a number and our items arrived shortly after where we were sitting. Love the vibe, and bustling atmosphere for a midweek afternoon. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my family. We were greeted right away. We were informed it was open seating and when we were ready to order at the bar and the order would be taken to us. All staff were friendly. We sat outside. Plenty of seating. All the food we ordered was good. No complaints. We ordered the Pineapple Bacon Pizza, Caesar Salad, Shishito Peppers and the Spicy Edamame. They even had live music which was nice.

Phil P.

Yelp
Best damn burger I ever had. Cali Burger was just amazing. Presentation and taste had me feeling awesome. Server was great and price was very reasonable. Get there when they open cause it gets crowded. Highly recommend. Had live Entertainment and terrific atmosphere.

Yelp
It was a warm day in Big Bear Lake and we were walking around enjoying the village. I always carry a water bottle to stay hydrated, especially when at high altitude like Big Bear Lake is. We stopped at this restaurant for dinner and a fun band and ate outdoors, and after we found a table a server said they need to take my water bottle and I can pick it up when I leave. I had a good time eating dinner and listening to music and went to get my water bottle back and the owner scolded me repeatedly that he "would never bring a water bottle to a restaurant that sells drinks", he has "worked in restaurants for 30 years and has never once brought a water bottle", "you never bring a water bottle to a restaurant". He loudly and persistently repeated this at least 5 times, as he located my water bottle and finally returned it to me. Got it...the owner is a jerk and I won't be back. I paid more than $60 for this scolding.

Carolina R.

Yelp
My partner and I went on a Friday evening and it was busy, but thankfully we were able to get a table. There was also live music that night. You order first, get a number then go find an open table. We ordered drinks and the poke nachos. We really enjoyed the drinks, we had a few. The drinks were really good and we loved the poke nachos!!! We definitely liked 572 social kitchen and would come back!

Yelp
This spot we found up in big bear was really really good, service and vibe was something we all enjoyed ! We went with my son and daughter in law the kids , and my son's in-laws . We all felt this way! I had a ahi sandwich so yummy, my wife had a California burger with sweet potatoes fries, we all loved this place! Service and ambience was great

Henry Q.

Yelp
Food was great and the service was excellent Really nice ambiance and live music performances

Jayson R.

Yelp
So... my girlfriend and I rented a cabin walking distance from this place and we had to keep coming back everyday for their poke nachos and mac and cheese. The servers are super nice and friend and they're even pleasant to talk to. 10/10 I'd recommend this place to a friend. Its such a nice place with plenty of heaters and fire places. Its also dog friendly. There are plenty of dog water bowls scattered around the patio so that even the puppers can get some social drinking in haha.

Dani P.

Yelp
Very confusing... Order outside... Get a number... Seat yourself... **But they ask for a tip** Gotta love the restaurants that prompt you for a tip, yet they have done nothing but stand there and input your order in a computer and swing the computer around for you to press a button and swipe your card.... -Food is $$- Food came out pretty quick but we were the only people sitting at a table, there was one man at the bar. Burger was $18 Teri Chick Bowl $18 Two drinks, one alcohol, one raspberry ice tea TOTAL $57!!!!! Food was average, nothing special. The waitress did come by to ask if everything was ok and if we needed anything, that was nice. Again, nothing special. One and done....you're in a tourist town so expect to pay, and not get any special service...save your tip money, they don't do anything special

Yelp
A beautiful place to have lunch or dinner while at the big bear village. Lots of outdoor seating surrounded with a lot of trees including apple trees. Two large fire pits with seating all around makes this place so cozy specially on a cold day. The food here is ok. I ordered the wedge salad and enjoyed it much. But the pizza my husband got was not that great. They have a large menu and would love to try more items next time I'm in town. They serve draft beer, wine and cocktails. A lot of people come for the drinks and to hang out outdoors. A very lovey atmosphere Customer service was good. Attentive and friendly team.

Roselia G.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant and bar at Big Bear Lake Village. The menu is extensive and even offers a chicken entree for dogs. There's so many different areas to sit too. No pets allowed indoors, but there is a huge patio area with lots of seating and heaters. If you only want drinks, a waitress can take your order from anywhere, but if you want to order food, you will need to go inside to the bar register. They also have a self serve water dispenser with cups outside stationed at the outer bar. Definitely a place to hit while in town.

Tawny B.

Yelp
Really love coming here for the patio, live music (during the spring/summer/fall months), and their food is great & fast! Other places in town make you wait to just sit, often for hours. At Social you sit yourself and order when ready. Everything is first come first serve, and they work hard to get everything out as quickly as possible. Its a great place for large parties too. They have lots of large party seating options and its super stress free. Some of their food is underrated too. I highly recommend the mussels, the risotto, fish & chips, and the salmon or ahi dinner plate! Oh and the poke nachos... Yum! The team there is always really friendly. The food is usually super fast, and if you're waiting you usually have music to enjoy and the great patio ambiance. Yep - I really recommend this spot! Tip: go here in the fall and pick apples & pears in their patio! It's free! And a great fall photo opp for the family.

Jes M.

Yelp
I highly recommend sitting in the outside patio and listening to the live band. All the food hit the spot from the sandwiches to the chicken bowl. Great beer options as well. There are some fireplaces for when it gets too cold.

Nathalie H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. It was a good spot to stop with dogs. We had kids (teens)with us too and thought for $18 pizzas they could pair up and share but that is definitely not the case. Be aware that they are definitely individual size pizzas which for the price is def a bummer. Food was good though. We also tried the steamed mussels - yum! And fries. The chairs where we sat were taller than the actual table which was a bit awkward, but overall we had a good time.

R P.

Yelp
The ambiance was amazing, live music and great atmosphere, they had two different bands that played music! Customer service was good, the food was okay, not a lot to choose from. Hamburgers, pizzas, salads and poke. You can order wine, beer or soft drinks like lemonade. You have to go and pay first then they give you a number for your table and they take your your food to your table... love the live music and ambiance! .

Eve T.

Yelp
Went here with my hubby and 2 sons. I had the poke nachos and my hubs had the wedge salad. I also had an Asian beer. This place is not social...they were very uptight. You don't even get your own waiter. The young lady told me if my older son drank my beer they would have to kick us out. Then multiple employees were just standing around watching us. So rude. Not friendly not worth the money we paid. The nachos were ok maybe chop the green onions and don't put the soy sauce all over it. It's a condiment not a sauce. We won't go back.

Franco L.

Yelp
It was about 9 pm on a Saturday night in Big Bear. We were looking for food and kept hearing places were closing or only doing take out orders. Then we came across the 572. The live music attracted us inward along with the laid back atmosphere. The fire pits were going and the outside bar was open. The bartender was a little rude initially by telling us if you're going to sit there you gotta stay there, as we started to sit down. Who knows what happened earlier. But the rest was great. We ordered a pizza that I would say is one of, if not the best in big bear. With the addition of some crispy calamari and tasty onion rings, the food here was really good. Once again the bartender...I asked for a beer on tap list and the she pointed at the taps and said there they are. They appear to have a good selection but the names are small and hard to see. Ok maybe she was having a bad day. Overall it's a great place. Great food, great atmosphere, food comes out quick from the kitchen, good music...I will be back. Minus one star for the bartender who may have been having a bad day.

Jer C.

Yelp
Amazing customer service. Great drink selections. And they're accommodating to Gluten Free customers. My wife and 2 boys are GF and they happily made substitutions for us. It doesn't always work out for my family with that, so that was extremely appreciated. P.s. we got the seared ahi sandwich and it was amazing wish I could've taken a picture before but it was so bomb

Aryanna R.

Yelp
Everything about this place is incredible, from the food to the service to the ambiance and music selection We came in around 9:30 on a Saturday night after some night tubing and were immediately greeted by several employees who let us know the procedure to order and also informed us (kindly) the restaurant closed at 10 so we needed to be sure to get our orders in soon. We sat outside by the fire pit and our food was brought out to us within 15 minutes! The fresh pizza and quality drinks put this place high up on our list of places to frequent. Thank you to the great staff for the service provided, everybody was so great!

Patrick R.

Yelp
We stopped in for drinks and was so pleasantly surprised with the service of Heather and Kelsey. You want to talk about not judging a book by its cover these two are the most fun informative about the town food drinks. All this was fun because of them.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Food is good, decent but the drinks look like lemonade when it's supposed to be a cocktail. The vibes are very fun though. You got all types of people here, young , old, older and families. The reason why is because they usually have a live band or person playing songs and it's nice and relaxing I love it. They are smart about the bill though. You have to line up at the front of the bar, preorder-prepay then they will have someone find your number and table and bring your orders to you. It's very easy to go in and out through the back so that's good they do that.

Sarah C.

Yelp
Great find in the Village! Loved the outdoor seating for humans and 4-legged family members. We were pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of the food, yum!

Jay D.

Yelp
This is starting to become one of my favorite spots up in Big Bear. The live music, good vibes, friendly employees and good food makes this place a must for every visit up here. The pineapple bacon pizza is good. Thanks again!

Sofia D.

Yelp
If I could give them 0 stars I would! The owner was extremely rude and kicked us out because our dogs. If the establishment is "pet friendly" then be pet friendly! Service animals are accepted everywhere and its the law! If you want be yelled at and treat you like crap while you're eating your food, I invite you to go to this place!!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
So good. They were able to custom make my pizza with cheese on half of it. As a lactose intolerant person I'm so grateful and thankful to be able to enjoy such yummy pizza. Stopped by while on a day visit. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather and live music. Service was good, place was busy, all good and drinks were excellent. Enjoyed sweet potato tater tots, pizza, sandwich, chicken wings. Sangria, sparkling wine, and soft drinks.

Jane W.

Yelp
It was a beautiful day to eat outdoors. This place was inviting us with the awesome live music playing. We almost didn't come because of the low star rating. I don't know what happened in the past, but this place is great! Parking around the village was plentiful for a Saturday, and the place didn't get crowded until about 1pm. Service was friendly, we were promptly greeted and given menus. You find your own seating and come up to the bar when you're ready to order. They bring the food to your table, but they also come often to check on you. I'm glad that it's not the kind of place where you get your food and get ignored. They are pet friendly, and plenty of people had their pups with them to eat. It really was enjoyable. The food was good, the portions were right. The ingredients were fresh and of good quality. I'm glad it wasn't the usual boxed Mac and cheese that the kids got. Bonus points for having ranch and Tapatio! Would definitely come here again.

Kevin A.

Yelp
Find a place to sit , place your order at the bar and you're sorted. Quickest service I've ever had, the food came out literally 5 mins after we placed the order. The 572 fire burger was delicious and the messiest burger ever as it is overflowing with the delicious sauce The cauliflower bites were OK and the Hot spiked cider warms you up after a long day of snowboarding!

Vivian L.

Yelp
We came here twice on our trip to Big Bear. The food is really good and the drinks too! Live music is always fun and the service was great! Love the outdoor seating.

Susie K.

Yelp
Came here for dinner while staying in Big Bear. Outdoor patio was dog friendly. Servers were super nice and attentive. We got an ahi tuna sandwich, chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, wings, and kids chicken tender meal. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Would go back again.

Lindsay W.

Yelp
This is a great place to relax outside while hanging by a fire and experiencing the snow. The staff are kind and have great beer and appetizer recommendations. We highly enjoyed the fries, poke nachos, and fried cauliflower. I'm a sauce person so each had its own sauce and yum! The fire pits were great to keep warm and people watch. Parking is easy on the main drag or in back and prices are reasonable.

Jim B.

Yelp
Happy to see that the downtown area has lots of food options (for a while it was slim pickins in the area) and the lake is looking better than I've ever seen it. 572 is casual dining with mostly outdoor seating, which is perfect for a Fall afternoon. Love music, fresh area, good people watching and tasty food. The menu is simple - mostly burgers - and well executed. Parking is tricky on the Main Street, but there are several free lots off the center of town. Have lunch and then walk down to the marina and relax by the water (bring a beach chair)

Ai H.

Yelp
Parking: free street parking around the area. It is limited so I'd suggest to come earlier than dinner/lunch time so you can get a spot Seating: there is no host and you're free to sit wherever you like. There are plenty of inside seatings for small and large parties. A few tables outside in front of the restaurant as well Staff: very helpful and nice people! Food: my party and I ordered the clam chowder, ahi tuna salad, teriyaki chicken burger, and steamed muscles. I would ordered the steamed muscle again as that was my favorite since it was packed with flavor and came with a delicious garlic bread. The teriyaki chicken burger and ahi tuna salad tasted okay. Nothing special. The same goes for the clam chowder. Note: upon entering, there is a menu where you can decide what to order. Once you have done so, head to the room to the left where there is a bartender and you'll see the cashier who will take your order.

Josue A.

Yelp
Really bad service, food is not so good, over price, and the waitress has a bad attitude

Michelle N.

Yelp
Upon reading the reviews, I'm surprised I had a different experience. Maybe it was the food and being at the place when it was less crowded, but I was definitely satisfied. It's a self-seating service where you order at the bar and they'll bring your food out to your number. I ordered the Classic Cheeseburger and the 572 Hot Wings. The burger was a bit plain and could use a bit more flavor, but the pickle made up for it. Nothing was too special with the fries except that they were pretty crispy. The hot wings were the winner of the night because of how crispy and tasty they were. I did say I wanted ranch as my choice of sauce and two other containers were brought out (bleu cheese and their 572 spicy sauce I'm assuming). I was super excited about the celery, but they came super skinny and lacked any crunch T-T I would give this place a try on a less busy day for possibly a better outcome than the other reviews experienced, but there are also other delicious spots along the block to try out!

Brandi R.

Yelp
Always a favorite spot to visit in Big Bear. Relaxing vibes, super friendly staff, and live music. Food is very good, and the drinks are delicious and strong. A great place to meet others on vacation, and locals.

Lora H.

Yelp
The locals told us to go to Saucy Mamas...and of course, that place was packed! So we walked up and down the street and and there were a few options. And 572 Social looked nice from the outside and appealing of course because tables were open since they were not open just yet! So we opted to try it. It's one of those places where you order your food at the bar and seat yourself. Ok. So that was fine. And the food came and it was ok. I had the fish and sticks. My bf had the wings. And we also got the blistered shishito peppers - hi salt bombs! But they were tasty. Everything was good. Was it great? Eh. I asked the guy to put the heater on and he was irritated...uh dude, it was 35 degrees outside. Some of us are NOT local. Anywho...

Kelsey P.

Yelp
I come here for lunch every time I come to Big Bear post hike, pre camping. Relaxing atmosphere, quick/easy service, lots of beer on tap, doggo friendly, live music - perfect afternoon!!! Thank you!

Karen B.

Yelp
Live music cold beer spicy wings Great spot Excellent service Highly recommend for visitors

Breanna L.

Yelp
This spot was a 5 minute walk from my Airbnb, and it did not disappoint. My friend and I walked up to the bar to place our order, ate outside next to the fire pit, and vibed to great music. Service was friendly and speedy. And, good grief, this was the juiciest, tastiest burger I've ever had the pleasure of eating. I got the Classic Cheeseburger and my friend got the 572 Fire Burger. Both were cooked to a perfect medium rare and had great flavor. Definitely will be back the next time I'm in Big Bear!

EveLyn T.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place and so did my kids Live music good drinks and delicious food We will definitely be back

Kaley M.

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere and energy, pet friendly, service was good as well, a little pricey but to be expected for the area.

Donna Q.

Yelp
Came here Sunday for lunch with a family of 16 people. Big, nice patio that accommodated all of us. Fast, friendly service, food was very good, and the ambiance was perfect with a live bands, firepits, and umbrellas for shade. Perfect outdoor meal.

Valeria C.

Yelp
The food was delicious, large portions. Service was quick and friendly. Nice relaxed feel with live entertainment.

Vianka A.

Yelp
Love this place so much that I came back twice! In the heart of the village there was live music, full bar, great food... friendly staff Enjoyed ourselves at the mini bar top outside ordered our drinks and food there (you will be asked to order at the front podium by the bar and then find a table when you're done) I ordered a cali squeeze and my bf ordered the moonshine lemonade, he had two! So must've been delicious and refreshing The one thing that had me come back again was the STEAMED MUSSELS... 10/10 The flavor reminded me of Tom kha Thai soup. We had fish chips, calamari and fries Fish and chips weren't over breaded but there was a little bit of sogginess on the bottom were they are rested upon serving. Calamari sticks had a good taste Everything was so flavorful would definitely recommend The live music just gives off the right vibes! Can't wait to return again

Mj O.

Yelp
I took my family here on Father's Day weekend. Such a pleasant vibe. Food was great! Service was amazing! Would come back here everytime I am in Big Bear.

Victoria P.

Yelp
My family and I found this place whilst searching online for a sit-down spot to eat at on our yearly trip to Big Bear. It seemed promising due to the positive reviews and menus we found.. Food- it was tasty; good portions, quality control, etc. although, a bit on the pricey side. Drinks- I had a 'spiked peach tea' and it was pretty good! Ambiance- This unfortunately dictates the 3 star review; it was extremely loud, I mean almost obnoxiously loud...guess I should've done a tad more research before going here with my family since this place has more of a bar-like atmosphere opposed to a restaurant. The folks sitting in-front and behind our booth were obviously "a bit" intoxicated, they continuously stood up and got out of their seats to walk over and converse with one another, very loudly. This seemed like a pretty normal occurrence though since our server hardly paid it any mind. I personally wouldn't recommend this spot if you're looking for a sit-down experience or have younger people/children in your group...But if you're in Big Bear and in a rush and want some drinks, this place is for you.

Yelp
Food: 572 Fire Burger was on FIRE!!! Grilled Portabella Sandwich was good if you want a veggie burger alternative; Fish & Chips are a good, safe choice Service: grab an outdoor table, order at the outdoor bar and enjoy the outdoor entertainment, while you wait Design: interiors was updated/modern, but everyone was outside enjoying the weather and live entertainment Overall: good place to go for American pub food with live entertainment
