"Just nine months after chef Sammy Davis debuted his seafood-centric Catch 22 at 5832 Georgia Avenue NW, he’s opted to swap out the eatery out for a first D.C. outpost of his popular Maryland breakfast chain, Milk & Honey Cafe." - Tierney Plumb
"The owners of popular Maryland breakfast chain Milk & Honey Café have quietly started accepting customers at Catch 22, their Southern seafood spot serving fried crab legs and shrimp-topped burgers, with a grand opening scheduled for next month. The new restaurant inside a former Imm Thai location (5832 Georgia Avenue NW) is offering lunch, dinner, and brunch in a nautical-themed dining room with gold accents and plush lounge seating. Catch 22 comes from chef Sammy Davis and co-owner and managing partner Monique Rose Simms, who have Milk & Honey Cafés in College Park and Bowie in addition to Milk & Cheese in Beltsville. They imported their best-selling seafood burger to Catch 22: a beef patty with hickory smoked bacon, Cajun shrimp, white American cheese, and secret sauce. The menu is made up of appetizers, soups, salads, surf and turf, and pastas. Here’s a look at the finalized lineup: To celebrate its official opening on Friday, January 11, the team is throwing a dinner party starting at 6 p.m. Reservations are encouraged." - Tierney Plumb
"Catch 22 is scheduled to open in October. The owners of Maryland’s popular breakfast chain Milk & Honey Café are making their D.C. debut next month with Catch 22, bringing deep fried lobster tail and biscuits to Brightwood. The new space, formerly home to the shuttered Imm Thai space, underwent a renovation over the past few months that included adding velvet chairs, gold accents, and plush lounge seating." - Tierney Plumb
