I had such a great experience at 5th Street Patio Cafe in Frisco! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I ordered the cajun crawfish scramble , and pasto sandwich. it was cooked perfectly and served hot. What really made this place stand out, though, was the amazing service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and the outdoor patio is perfect for a sunny day. If you’re looking for a local spot with great food and even better service, this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
An excellently local, multi-cultural establishment that takes popular American food like chicken tenders and potato wedges to a sophisticated level. There was a bit of a wait to get to the counter, but that’s not the cafe’s fault (*double-take*), and was part of the experience as it gave me plenty of time to look over the menu, which had many items on it and was displayed all over the walls next to the counter. It was hard to pick just a few things! I ordered the chicken and waffles, fish taco platter, and sparkling blue lemonade. While I was waiting for my order (which didn’t take that long), I explored the dining floor a little bit, and saw some bits of positivity like a plaque that said, “Simply blessed,” and another that said, “Happiness is a choice made in advance.” I just love that. They also have a system where if you request a water cup, they give you a clear, plastic cup, but if you order a fountain drink (which included a bunch of authentic Mexican sodas!), they give you a red cup. Clever! The food itself was incredible, easily the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. On the table, there are squeeze bottles of maple syrup, which I added to both the waffle and the chicken, and it took the chicken especially to the next level. I didn’t feel like a kid ordering chicken tenders from a fast food place or an overpriced concession stand, it felt respectful and sophisticated. And it tasted amazing! I went out of my way to compliment the chefs, and they were overjoyed. The fish tacos were great, too. From what I know, the fish in fish tacos are supposed to be kept plain (which it was), as not to overpower the rest of the taco. With the platter came a couple different salsas, and adding them to the tacos made them taste incredible. I don’t recommend eating one of those tacos without salsa because then, most of what you’re gonna be tasting is the corn tortilla. The platter came with some potato wedges too, and they were the best potato wedges I’ve ever had. They were incredibly soft and even flavorful without dipping them in the salsa! The sparkling blue lemonade was utterly unique. I didn’t get a photo of it, but it looked like a work of art, despite being served in a disposable plastic cup. They must have carbonated it somehow because yes! It was indeed sparkling, and very tangy and refreshing. I’m amazed by my experience here. Would definitely love to come back again and bring my friends.

Google
Love Supporting local, I also don’t mind the self serve but there was some coffee that was out. The waffles were way too dry I’d have to soak it in syrup to be able to eat it, on the other hand My husband did enjoy his meal. Very convenient for a quick in and out bite.

Google
Great quality food! Food tastes great and fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing! Definitely a hidden gem and will be visiting pretty soon.

Google
I had the burrito and the chorizo scramble pasta — both were incredibly delicious and full of flavor. It’s the kind of food you keep thinking about long after the meal. The owner was so kind and welcoming, and the staff were bright, friendly, and attentive. Such a warm and positive atmosphere! Highly recommend this place if you’re in Frisco.

Google
Best breakfast burrito in town!! The combo plate to choose from pancakes, French toast or waffle hits the spot too. Be sure to grab the orange juice too. Owner is super sweet and it feels cozy inside the cinnamon roll is also a bonus!

Google
It was a surprisingly awesome find!! Not that we were expecting it to be bad but we got quality food which wasn't as expensive and so tasty!!! The place is very warm and rustic too.. AMAZING food!! A must go for a hearty brunch!

Yelp
I've been here a few times, and the service, food, and overall experience have been consistently good. I'll continue to support 5th Street Patio Cafe.

Yelp
Treated myself to a favorite spot for breakfast after having some fasting bloodwork. Why am I always so hungry in the morning when they tell me I can't eat? Anyways, this place never disappoints. Cute spot tucked away near downtown Frisco, and staff is always friendly. Blueberry pancakes (so fluffy) and crispy bacon for me! Only thing I don't care for are the fountain drinks - I'm a Diet Coke snob. Plenty of other drink options available.

Yelp
Such a cute cafe on 5th street! This was recommend to me by the hotel staff during my visit to Dallas. The cafe is open seating and does not have a reservation system. When walking in, you'll order your food first, grab your drinks and the servers will being the good to your table. Our food didn't take long at all to arrive after ordering. The egg whites were lightly cooked when I asked for them to be fried well done. The chicken was overcooked but still edible. Pancakes and waffle was very good. My curse grits were ok, I would've preferred the cheese be melted and the grits to be cooked a little more, they were thick. Overall very cute cafe to visit for quick eating! I'll be back to try again when visiting Dallas.

Yelp
I read a one star before we walked in because I don't believe one star reviews. I should've believed it. Business model is diner/hangover comfort food (hardy/greasy/large) not a place for coffee, they will set the food in front of you but you will have to find everything else (silverware, napkins, ect) around the restaurant.

Yelp
I found this little spot while looking for good chilaquiles! And I found them! I loved the green salsa , very flavorful, also the portion was very generous, it comes with sour cream, cheese, avocado and I chose chicken to top it off (obviously eggs)!!! I would definitely come back to try something else next time!

Yelp
Nice, cozy place. The food is good. Customer service is good. The first time here didn't know you order and pay first. So be ready, you first trimmers. If I knew, I would have looked at the menu or Yelp pictures a bit long. Had people behind us in line, not a fan of wasting anyone's time. Good first visit. Plan to have many more. If you work from home you can bring your computer. We got here between 9am and 9:30am. No one rushing you out. Maybe you can get a little work done while having breakfast. This place is dog friendly. They have a patio for them. It was a bit cold, of course, during winter months but great during spring and summer months. Hope you enjoy

Yelp
Cute restaurant, a home remade into a restaurant. It has been here forever, and can do with some repainting, redoing the floors just to bring back the beauty. It's a seat yourself, order at the counter restaurant. Food was ready quickly, and brought to the table. I ordered shrimp and grits, it was very oily but the taste was good. Garlic bread was awesome. It's been years since my first visit, if you want cute scenery and a good meal, check it out

Yelp
Wonderful neighborhood counter order cafe! The restaurant at looks like it was a Victorian home converted to a restaurant. There's plenty of seating, prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious! I ordered the French Toast Platter: it came with 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, breakfast potatoes, and 4 pieces of french toasts with fresh cut fruit Parking is right behind the building, and there's plenty of it!

Yelp
I came for breakfast with my family. Brought a latte that tasted like water snd whipped cream and breakfast that tasted microwaved. Also the hallway stenches of the bathrooms. Really don't know how people enjoy eating here sorry

Yelp
Fifth Street patio Café is a quaint place to eat in downtown Frisco. With hippie ambience and its wide variety on the menu, I definitely think this is a place to not miss. The prices are a little above the average. A BLT will cost you 9.99, but they do have daily specials and I have not come across one entrée that is bad. The breakfast is also really good. My favorite is the big taco salad and a cup of creamy jalapeño soup.

Yelp
Such a cute and fun spot in downtown frisco! This place is patio dog friendly! The food was great! They have breakfast and lunch items. The fish basket was very good, and so was the shrimp carbonara. Pay attention to their operation hours, they do close early in the day.
google avatar

Yelp
Very delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed this burrito. Flavors are good. I like the jalapeño sauce that comes with it, could be more spicy though. Will be ordering again

Yelp
Very cute restaurant for ladies who lunch! We were very pleased with our sandwich choices and loved the ambiance and for noshing & chatting.

Yelp
First time here in a long time. We splurged and ordered a few of our favorites: the chocolate chip pancakes and the bananas foster French toast. They weren't busy, but it seemed to take longer than expected to get our food. My French toast could've used a little more banana, but the flavor was amazing. My wife's pancakes looked and tasted great. Apparently, a pancake on the bottom got folded over and didn't meet the owner's quality standard, so she brought my wife an extra pancake to go. My daughter was the very happy beneficiary.

Yelp
I arrived at the right time. There were many open spots in their small parking lot shared with several other businesses. When I entered, a customer had just finished ordering. I quickly browsed the menu on the wall and ordered the Captain Crunch French Toast. After grabbing the utensils and coffee, I decided to eat on the patio. The coffee was slightly bitter but still drinkable. After I saw the bottom of the cup did my order arrive. Because it was slightly pre-sweetened, I assumed no additional syrup came with it. Later, I noticed nearby tables pouring syrup from unmarked bottles. I did notice these unmarked bottles next to marked bottles of mustard and ketchup. I just did not know what was the brown goop inside them. As I said, the Captain Crunch French Toast was slightly pre-sweetened with syrup which prevented it from being too dry. The three slices of toast and the several pieces of blueberries and strawberries was enough to satisfy my hunger. I had some amusement picking up the individual pieces of cereal with my fork. Although I was eyeing the andouille sausage, any additional food would have been excessive. By the time I left, the restaurant was starting to get packed. All the patio tables were occupied; the lot was getting full; and the line to order had reached the door.

Yelp
Cute, casual little breakfast/lunch place in Frisco. We got the breakfast tacos and Italian sandwich with the tomato basil soup. I will say the soup wasn't the best I've had but the sandwich was good. They have clean restrooms and the staff is super friendly.

David S.

Yelp
Good food and a cozy atmosphere. The perfect brunch spot. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area
google avatar

Clarice C.

Yelp
My husband and kids loved their food, I wasn't thrilled about mine so I give 3 out of 5 stars. I ordered the chicken and Waffles. For me there seemed to be an after taste when eating the chicken. I would like to return and try something different. My husband ordered the Brisket Hash, my children ordered the kids Shrimp basket, one with a side salad and the other with fries. Everyone loved their entrees except me.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Good food... small, local restaurant that has good food. It's located in downtown Frisco of the main road. We placed our order and found a table. I loved my French toast.. very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food (not pictured - kids grilled cheese).
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came here for the dog friendly patio, unfortunately, that's maybe only one of 3 perks for this restaurant. The food was presented very well, but lacked in flavor and actual temperature. My cheese in my cheese grits weren't even melted! The chilaquiles lacked spice and the corned beef just didn't do it for me. I liked how it was cut from an actual beef brisket instead of the kind from a can,so that was a plus. Another plus is the big protion size. The coffee dispensers had a lot of roast flavors, but they make me feel like I am in a hotel getting complimentary continental coffee before I head out of the door. The waitresses don't wear their masks properly. The only one that was was just there to buz tables and not really help.

Yelp
This place is super cute and the portions are huge! Everything I've ever ordered, was delicious, and I was more than I could eat. All the employees are really friendly, even though they are beyond busy. Definitely recommend!!
google avatar

Yelp
I love love love this find in downtown Frisco! It's super cute inside and the food is really great. The Pancakes are all huge so beware if you're a lightweight ;) Overall good service & atmosphere although usually pretty crowded during peak hours.

Yelp
Do not sit on patio on a hot day! The fans do not work and the flies are relentless. I had the chorizo scramble. It was okay. The prices are good and it is a self serve restaurant.
google avatar

Tammy R.

Yelp
The food was amazing, large portions and reasonably priced. The banana fosters French toast comes with three thick slices and just the right amount of sweetness! The service was really quick and super friendly! The ambiance was cute and relaxing. We visited from out of town but it will be on our list to visit again.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is amazing and the service is great The ambience is so cool I would recommend to come back
google avatar

Yelp
Ugh - this place used to be so good. With the ownership change, it has relaxed a lot of the food standards. The menu remains unchanged, what has gone downhill is the execution. For example, simple pancakes have a harder crust on them so they aren't fluffy. Corned beef hash is merely slices of corned beef with one fried egg on top. The best thing about my breakfast in fact was the jalapeño gravy on the breakfast burrito. For the calories and money, Original Pancake House wins hands down. Service was very prompt and everyone was nice - but this place is literally a shell of its former self. A firm no for me
google avatar

Yelp
This is an amazing family own breakfast/lunch place, they have a varied menu, including a kids one. It's self service, you order at the counter and they bring you the food to the table. Very nice customer service, and prices. We had 3 adult breakfast and a kids, and spend ~$55. They have indoors and outdoors seating, it's on the smaller size so it gets pack easily. It's very family friendly (I would say that's the typical crowd, based on what I saw). They open only until 3pm.
google avatar

Brittney M.

Yelp
Did not enjoy this at all. Nothing was as requested. The eggs were overcooked. The potatoes tasted old. I ate a couple of bites, paid and left.

Andrea E.

Yelp
Have gone twice and love the people and the food is wonderful. Can't wait to go back and try more. The brownies are the bomb.

Yelp
Chilaquiles - tortilla chips tossed in their signature salsa verde with chicken, queso fresco, avocado, crema and 2 eggs. Captain crunch French Toast Chicken and waffles - Belgium waffle, strawberries, blueberries, whipped cream, powdered sugar, and 3 crispy chicken tenders Grilled Chicken Salad - romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese, and avocado Tabasco Chicken Sandwich - Tabasco onion, lettuce, tomato, avocado, grilled chicken, and cheddar cheese 5th Street Ruben - corned beef, remoulade slaw, Swiss cheese and toasted rye bread Grilled Chicken Wrap - provolone and American cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, avocado, and grilled chicken wrapped in a flour tortilla These guys know good food and killer presentation. Both chefs have experience in corporate and fine dining and they're bringing down the house, rather patio in Frisco. My favorites were the French toast. The bread is thick and slightly sweet like brioche. The roll the crust in the cereal crumbles and it adds the best texture! Also the chilaquiles. The house made salsa verde is uncharted. The tomatillos are fresh and each bite a little tangy with a mellow kick. Even hours later I couldn't stop digging out salsa verde loaded chips!

Yelp
We went to 5th street for breakfast after being away for a year or so trying all the other breakfast/brunch places that have opened in Frisco and what a disappointment. The menu that used to be unique now reflects only standard breakfast foods. Unfortunately it doesn't even taste good. Mediocre at best. The sausage, both pork and turkey, looked like it had been cooked in a microwave. No crispy edges at all. The breakfast potatoes were dried out and cold. The toast had been slathered with some sort of grease, definitely not butter. The Mimosa was mostly orange juice and served in a plastic cup. Needless to say we will not be returning to the place that was once our favorite in Frisco. So sad

Diana E.

Yelp
We had a late breakfast here while in town before my daughter had to go to her dance intensive. It was quiet, staff was friendly and food was good. I love finding little cafes like this to try! Super cute place inside and out.

David E.

Yelp
Don't forget the French dip. This location has one of the better ones and a great value. Wife had a wrap after a long day we both cleared our plates.

Yelp
I really loved visiting this place. It reminded me of a bed and breakfast in Gruene,TX. Very homey feeling and friendly staff, but pretty busy! I went to an early lunch at this place and had an omelet. No bad but not great! I had no idea where the coffee bar was....no one instructed me to it until after my meal when I ordered the coffee to go. I guess I am just not that observant sometimes. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating. There is also outdoor seating. The menu is up on the wall when you come in or you can get a paper menu. There is a small bar to wait at when you order to go. Lots of sweets to choose from too. Parking on the street and a small parking lot attached to the Café.

Yelp
We were looking for a brunch spot for last minute Easter Sunday eating. We arrived 40 minutes to close and were pleasantly surprised we missed the breakfast / brunch rush. It is a very cute restaurant that provided counter service ordering and self seating. The kids got Belgian Waffles with bacon & cheese omelets. My daughter received a huge kids pancake plate, plenty left over for a 3 year old to eat on all day. Once we were done, the restaurant was pretty much closing, but the manager was super nice and allowed me to order food for us to take to go! So glad we found this place and I look forward to visiting again soon! Big food portions and plenty of menu options.

Yelp
Wow!!!! Breakfast is such an important meal. Even more important is when you find a place that isn't a chain and makes a homemade breakfast that doesn't break the bank. I found that while I was in Frisco. Looking for a quick breakfast before a meeting and found some great Yelp reviews in this restaurant. I was the first one in when they opened the doors at 7am. What a friendly group of employees. It was clean, greeted me right away and even more impressed by the hand written menu. I opted for the Cajun crawfish scramble and a cup of coffee. All this for under $10. Grabbed my cup of coffee and they have some great tasting Java. Hey delivered my breakfast in under 10 minutes and it looked amazing. Then I took the first bite. The eggs were not burned and scrambled nicely. Big chunks of sausage and crawfish. The combination melted in my mouth. Then I started on the grilled breakfast potatoes. They were crispy and had a remarkable flavor. Bottom line is I'll come back here again. Great price. Great customer service. Remarkable food! Thanks for a very nice experience!

Yelp
The food was amazing! We had the green salsa enchiladas, chilaquiles & French toast. The green salsa on both was so yummy! Not too spicy. The French toast was one of the best I've had, I was so full from the food but still had to enjoy it. definitely on of our too brunch/ breakfast spots. Chef Christian is really amazing!

Yelp
We've been coming here for years, well before the change in ownership. I've been here twice in the last month and I'm sure the amount of food gets smaller and smaller. They up charge for so maybe things. For example, instead of a grilled Tabasco chicken sandwich, if you asked for fried chicken, they charge an extra $2! The shrimp in the po boy keeps getting smaller, as does the bread. The Tabasco chicken sandwich we had today was also noticeably smaller. Their new $7.50 croffle.... A croffle the size of a young child's palm. Super disappointing! I branched out and tried the California club sandwich. No resemblance to a club sandwich. More like a bacon, cheese and turkey melt on the same little bread they use for the po boy. Everything is going downhill. After coming for almost a decade, today was our last day.
google avatar

Audrey W.

Yelp
Yummy, simple breakfast dishes. I usually get a skillet dish. On nice days it's wonderful to sit on the patio outside.
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
Food was just OK. It's a counter order place, and the dining room was cold because it's small and the doors keep opening and closing. They didn't get my order right, even though it was a simple request. The toast was barely toasted, and all the coffee and utensils and napkins are self serve, even though they asked for a tip on the receipt. I thought that was pretty cheesy. I'd try somewhere else first.
google avatar

Elisha F.

Yelp
The staff could use some help with time management and customer service. The wait is too long, and the food is very salty. We're not returning.
google avatar

Meg P.

Yelp
Service was so bad. Waited over an hour for food. They brought food out at different times for brunch on a Saturday.
google avatar

S L.

Yelp
Food: 3 stars. It's alright. The scrambled eggs tasted incredibly strange. The French toast wasn't bad. The French dip was interesting. They use like an egg based type bread that didn't quite pair well with the meat. Service: 5 stars. The customer service is top notch though! They're very accommodating to special requests. Very friendly folks who work hard so I really didn't want to give them 3 stars.

derek l.

Yelp
This place is great! Cool on the inside and amazing breakfast. I randomly showed up driving past.
google avatar

Marcellous C.

Yelp
They get pretty busy but handle the crowd well. The food is the bomb, no questions about it. If you're looking for a low key spot to grab some breakfast, this is it. Again, very low pressure, informal vibes.
google avatar

Ivis A.

Yelp
I got the chilaquiles. I give it a 3 because the tortilla chips were reheated in old oil and the taste was evident of that and the chicken wasn't fully cooked. The egg and avocado were good but that's it. The salsa missed taste. The huevos rancheros on the other hand were fresh and the salsa was delicious. Service was fast. Not friendly. The atmosphere was chill and good.

Sylvia G.

Yelp
Hadn't been here in years but today it was evident there are new owners. Food was horrible nothing was good. If I could give a zero rating I would. Disappointed that the owner did not care to acknowledge my opinion and made excuses. So many other choices in Frisco so please do yourself a favor don't go here.
google avatar

Cynthi M.

Yelp
All food is very delicious and the place it's nice The service is very fast and friendly

Jillian R.

Yelp
I get that it was delivered, so I expect a little less as far as the cook/quality, but this was inedible. The items ordered were corned beef hash and the French toast platter. The French toast was ok, however I couldn't even eat the corned beef hash. It was like lunch meat, burnt potatoes, and an egg that was supposed to be poached? Either way, it was acrid, rubbery, and under seasoned. We used to go here all the time, this was an attempt to try to reconnect. Never again. I can't believe they even sent this out for delivery!!
