Visiting from out of town, and they had some decent beers on tap and cans, so thought we'd check it out. Too bad they were closed for an employee meeting at 6 right when we took an Uber. Never a good look for an employee meeting shortly after opening. Cheers.

Great interior and glad there was outdoor seating - we were there on an unseasonably warm day in early March and got to soak up some sun. The beers weren't really for me, but my beer season is summer, so I might just be too early. A lot of interesting stuff, just not my palate. I like that they offer 5oz pours - I thought the smoothie sour was pretty good, but I wouldn't have wanted a whole glass of it.

We go to a lot of breweries, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot!!!! This one is probably the best yet. Of the 8 beers we tried there wasn’t one of them that wasn’t fantastic. Great place! My compliments to the brewer, well done!!

Google
608 Brewing is typically known for its Hazy IPAs. On my last stop they had a Hazy, hazy double, hazy triple, and a hazy quad....so yeah. That said, they also had a brown, a dunkel, imperial stout, pastry stout, Helles, sour, imperial kettle sour, BA imperial sour, Czech, black Pils, and still had an Octoberfest. The DIPA hazy was hoppy, the imperial stout.... fantastic. Brown and dunkel were okay. Atmosphere is good with bar and bench seating. Music is lively and service is friendly. This is a good Brewery with some big beers, careful with that as it is on a busy road. It is an above average brewery and certainly worth a stop.

A great new brewery that is still in it's first year and you wouldn't know it based on their great beers! I love that the brewmaster has created 5 different New England IPAs currently on tap (as of June 2019). I also was told about an orange creamcicle beer that was a top seller not too long ago that is coming back soon due to popular demand. The atmosphere/vibe was great and everything was very new and well kept...nothing was worn down at all. Their shuffleboard table was in great condition, probably the best table I've ever played on! Bathrooms were very clean. Mychal was a great bartender, he was very personable but not overly chatty. Overall it was a great experience! Great beer selection (especially if you like New England IPAs) great service, great games and a great atmosphere! Definitely a brewery worth visiting!

Al and Trixie were great beertenders. Great service. German chocolate cake was a top notch barrel aged beer. 10/10 would recommend. Could have played more Morgan Wallen but wonderful vibe.

Yelp
608 was always our first stop when we visited La Crosse. Their beers were always top notch, especially their IPAs. We were quite disappointed at our recent visit. We've visited nearly 250 breweries, 608 is definitely the highest priced we've seen. $8 for a, what I assume to be a 14 oz glass as they don't refer to them as a pint but a "full pour" of Citranado (one of our favorites). $19 for a four pack is outrageous. As the taproom is large it tends to be loud. This was exasperated by a young boy sitting a large wooden table, by himself, banging on the table with wooden blocks, as the parents seemed proud of his skills, sat at a different table with friends. I doubt that we will return.

Yelp
Excellent beers and solid food options! Ambiance was nice and modern. Service was kind and efficient! A great spot for Lax

Yelp
Everything was nice and clean and tasted good. Service was fine, nice atmosphere.wish the food truck stayed longer. Touch tones was very quiet.

Greg W.

Yelp
The taproom is nice and they've got a good range of styles. The patio is spacious but your only view of a major road and industrial parks. There staff was perfectly nice and answered the questions I had and the place is dog friendly inside and out. Unfortunately 2/4 of the beers I had were very skunky and the other 2 were "ok". The collaboration sour with Lua brewing was the best by far. Also picked up a THC seltzer for the road and that was actually pretty good. Overall don't think we'll be back since there are better options in the area. Definitely not worth a road trip.

Yelp
First of all-- I LOVE SOURS!!! And I'm always looking for the next place to knock my socks off and bite my tongue with that sour taste. 608 has NAILED IT!!! My favorite overall was the OG Hype Mixberry with its smoothie consistency and flavor profile of ALL the berries. To my surprise, the Lagarita was a solid beer. You can really taste the lime and salt without it being overpowering. The Flip Flop Tramp Stamp was another great sour with a creamy tangerine bite. It's not too sour, so if you're looking for one to get started with-- this one's for you!

Rachael E.

Yelp
Shannon was friendly and fun to talk with, great music, not to loud and I enjoyed my sour(Pastry Gose). My husband had Citranado(hazy IPA) was very good as well.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of dark beer but this place made me a Stout fan for sure! I tried a flight and liked 2 of the 4 beers I had. I came here during the week so it was less crowded than I had anticipated. They had a huge screen showing the Packers game, they have a few board games laying around for you to play. Our bartender was very nice and attentive so I have no complaints. My favorite was the maple marshmallow beer & Mr. Dream but I know they rotate their beers!

Brandon W.

Yelp
I was in town for business and stopped in to check 608 out. The beertender was very polite and knowledgeable about the beers on the menu. They had a nice selection across the board from dark beers to easy light beers. Their patio was very nice as well as the inside was very modern and fun. I do wish they offered glass growlers but I understand why they don't. Will stop by again.

Sarah I.

Yelp
Had a really fun time hanging out and try beer flights at 608. We were in town and wanted to try son local beers. Super fun atmosphere, staff was very knowledgeable and nice. They have a great outdoor area to sit and relax. Definitely will go back next time in town.

Yelp
608 Brewing Co is ALWAYS amazing. I have been there many times and the bartenders are very informative and helpful in selecting beers you may like, getting you samples, and overall just very nice. My boyfriend and I love to go there to play shuffle board or a game of cribbage and they have plenty of other games for you to borrow & play also. They have a beautiful outdoor area with large picnic tables to sit at. They normally have different food trucks there on the weekends, which is always nice to be able to support local and get some good food. My most recent visit I tried the Gose Sour and really enjoyed it. I have never found a sour beer there that I didn't like! They typically have many different IPAs and Stouts on tap (which is the only downfall for me since I don't enjoy those, but still always have a great time there!) 608 is dog friendly, too (outside) which makes my heart happy.

Sydney S.

Yelp
Pretty small inside but good vibes and good beer! We came on 4/16 which was the first day they started to allow dogs which was great since we were visiting from out of town. Unfortunately our dog was the first dog at this brewery ever and also only dog all night and since he barked twice within 4 hours they asked us to leave... a little ridiculous to us compared to most dog friendly breweries we've been to (mind you he laid down and minded his business nearly the whole visit).

Jesse G.

Yelp
Great selection of beers at this new LaCrosse brewery. They're open pretty late on Saturdays which is a plus as I usually get to town later in the evening when I travel there.

Nic C.

Yelp
Cool hangout with plenty of seating and games to play. Modern and very clean. The shuffle board is huge and a great addition to the brewery. I tried the "Boom Chokoloka" stout but just want that impressed. However I plan to go back and give their beers another taste. Maybe a flight next time?

Wendy W.

Yelp
Place looks great! I don't much like their beers though. I tried a few 608 brews. I had high hopes for their "I am Brut" IPA which promised to be "heavily hopped". I was sad to discover that "I am Brut" didn't taste like much of anything. Where's the malt? Where are the aggressive hops? Is my tongue broken? For $5 or $6 a pint (expensive by local standards), I expect some flavorful suds. There are a couple of other microbreweries (literally!) within a mile of 608 that in my opinion have tastier beers.

Tuke P.

Yelp
First time at 608 Brewing Co last night and I must say I was very impressed. I had a few flights- and out of the 10 beers I tried, I loved 8 of them! I knew the last two weren't my style, but it's always fun to try new things and they were still very flavorful. Prices were fair and reasonable and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I also loved the inviting atmosphere. Long wood tables and a corner filled with games made me feel right at home. I am so excited to go back and enjoy the beer garden during summer! Snacks are available but no dinner food. Turns out that is not a problem because they let you order in or bring your own food. I ended up leaving with two crowlers, the Palm Reader (Stout) and I am Brut (IPA). Needless to say, I will be going back.

Candy M.

Yelp
Great place to spend an afternoon playing cards and enjoying micro brews! They have card games in the corner to use, even a hand-shuffle board game along one wall. There is no food but snacks are available if you need a little something to munch. Acoustics are harsh, but I can tell the manager is trying to fix that with some acoustic tiles on the ceiling. If they added some with a looser weave material it would absorb more sound making it a more pleasant place to socialize. Music was good, when we could make out the songs we even sang along a bit!

Jeri P.

Yelp
Lacking bartenders on busy Sunday afternoon. The one that was there lacked motivation & personality. Could have a least acknowledge our presents, letting us know he would be with us ASAP

Ross J.

Yelp
This was the wife's favorite brewery she said I have to review this brewery for her! We both had flights at the brewery she got an assortment of ipas and sours her favorite being the candy sour. I ordered a hot chocolate stout and a few other ales and sours. I liked the stout it was good taste but not one to have first it's intense flavor.

Paul D.

Yelp
We came to town for the night and wasn't aware of this brewery until we drove by. We ended up spending about 3 hours here playing cards and trying about half of their beers. If you like darker beers this is a needed stop. Great beer with good atmosphere. Grabbed a couple for the hotel also.

Tara P.

Yelp
One of our favorite breweries! Decided to get lost in LaCrosse and visit this gem! The atmosphere is exactly what you would hope for in a brew house! Servers all had knowledge of beers on tap! We returned the following day to have a few more that we didn't taste the day prior and loaded up in the gift shop! The only drawback is they don't fill growlers... not a huge deal as they offer plenty of cans to take home. Mr Dream and Gnarly we're our favorites! Keep em coming 608!

Greg H.

Yelp
Best beer in La Crosse!! Watching the Badger game on a giant TV drinking a Columbus Mosaic IPA. I'm sampling the whole beer menu & haven't had a dud yet. I highly recommended this place!!!!!

Geoff F.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went last Friday. The beer was really good, and The ladies behind the bar were very friendly. They weren't able to describe the different beers which would have helped us to decide what we wanted, but they let us sample. This is a repeat spot for us, and I hope you also go

Deb D.

Yelp
This brewery has 2 of the best stouts I have ever had. The service is fast and friendly. My suggestion is even when there is a large event, let your paying customers use your restrooms, instead of sending them out to a port-a-john outside. The restrooms were blocked off and reserved for friends of the bartenders and the owner's kids, the inside was not busy, it made the few customers inside making purchases feel unwelcome.

Tori S.

Yelp
I loved the variety of beers at this brewery! Had a flight of stouts/IPAs and found a beer to take home in a crowler. My husband, a Mic Ultra man , was able to get a taste of a soon-to-be-released lager and even he found a beer here to his liking! Great atmosphere. Thanks for a fun experience as we stopped through La Crosse.

Stacey R.

Yelp
Hype Machine Berries is amazing beer!! Katie & Tyler are wonderful bartenders!! Support Local.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Probably the most boring brewery I've been to. An open room with little character, I recommend sitting outside so you at least get some sun. The male worker wearing a handkerchief around his neck was extremely rude the entire time. Friends have told me he's rude every time they've gone in as well. Overall probably wouldn't go back as the beer is alright. If you're into IPA you'd probably enjoy more than I

Kevin J.

Yelp
Not sure what to say about this place. One large open room with a small bar area a few tables for 4 but the majority of the setup is long tables set end to end. The acoustics are really bad inside as it is very difficult to carry on a conversation even right next to you without having to raise your voice. There is a jukebox but that is the only entertainment other than a deck of cards or one shuffleboard table. You will not be going here to watch sports since there are no TVs. There is no food available but I guess they allow you to bring in your own. So you really are there for one reason and that is to buy their beer. A relatively large selection of local-brewed beers to choose from. I am just not sure that is enough of a draw to keep people coming back. I hope they can make it as a new business in town.
