Where to find the best birria at Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas - Eater Vegas

"Just steps from Wynn Las Vegas, 664 TJ Birrieria specializes in Tijuana-style beef birria served in tacos, the quesabirria with cheese, toasted tortillas, bowls, and tostadas, and they come with a side serving of consomé birria. The restaurant named itself after the area code for Tijuana." - Susan Stapleton

Food really hit the spot for my first night after a travel day. Great flavor, price, and service Ordered after a few people that only spoke Spanish. The person running the shop was able to easily communicate with them in Spanish. I only speak English and he was still able to communicate with me. Highly recommended!

Above average quesabirria taco and on the strip no less. Taco was $6, but the birria was piled on pretty good. Onions and cilantro were both fresh. Didn't order consome, but it didn't need it. It's a hole in the wall joint, but it's fine except for the music that could be slightly less loud.

Their quesabirria is really tasty—tender meat, full of flavour, and super juicy. The tortilla doesn’t get soggy, and the broth’s yummy. It’s just a short walk off the Strip, and the prices aren’t unhinged like most places in the area. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Pretty disappointed overall. I saw a tik tok talking about this place etc and wanted to come try. I should have known the taco place by the strip was gonna be a tourist trap. Prices were higher than usual by a good bit and even had to pay extra for the cup of consome. Speaking of, the consome was watery and lacking flavor and that transferred over to the tortillas it was toasted with. Bland and I'm amazed I had to pay to get add the flavor out of it. The location is small, music was really loud and it was hard to hear the lady taking my order. I would have probably been ok regardless but each birria is 6.50! There's plenty of places off strip that charge 5 or less per, and include the consome. I got 2 birria tacos, the cup of consome and a jarritos and it was 23 and change. There's better food for the money in Vegas, I'd skip it if you have a way to get around.

The service was friendly and helpful. The environment looks pretty typical. The food has some flavor. My wife ordered a birria quesadilla, but we were not a big fan of the tortilla, breaking apart easily, it was not crispy, and the meat was a bit dry. We are used to birria being more tender and having some fat, and the quesadilla being crunchy and crispy, but unfortunately, this was not the case here. The food was good but personally not exactly our favorite. The flavor itself is pretty good, we just wish the tortilla was more crispy and the birria has some fat :)

What a great find!! To be honest we were going to a different taco spot but the line was out of control. As we were walking back to our car we saw this little spot and decided to try it and man I’m glad we did!! Best birria tacos we have ever had and reasonably priced!! Would definitely recommend!

I had two Tacos Birria style with a half-bowl of Red Menudo. The tacos were tasty and the soup was warm and heart on a cool rainy day Located in a rather depressing and dirty strip mall but it's worth the trip just north of the Wynn hotel and across the street from Resorts World.
