Moon Rabbit - Review - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"A $250 take-home dinner that serves 3-4. Moon Rabbit may have closed earlier this year, but the restaurant’s legacy lives on. This Thanksgiving, Kevin Tien and his team have a package that includes gochujang mac and cheese, miso mashed potatoes, and five-spice roasted turkey. Make sure to place your order by noon on Friday, November 17th. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Yelp
Stopped by to have a drink with a friend. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Also, the venue itself is beautiful. I ordered a French 75 and it was delicious!

Yelp
One of the only places in DC that I would say is a destination for a drink. They specialize in clarified cocktails, and the clarification process produces an uncommon and excellent taste. The rosita and tamarindo specifically have a certain richness to them that provides a balance to the taste of the drink that you won't find anywhere else. Watching the bartenders put the work and creativity into these drinks is a show to enjoy as well. If this place was in a busier area then there would be a line out the door

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this bar ever since it opened. We came on a Saturday around 9:45/10pm (it closes at 11) and it was very lively! The bar itself is small so it may be hard to get the bartender's attention but when you do, they are very efficient and helpful. There's plenty of seating in the Bryant Street Market food hall, so you can take your drinks away from this boisterous end of the market if you want to have a quiet conversation. We only tried 2 drinks, the mezcal and regular tequila margaritas, on this visit. The menu looks intriguing and I'd want to come back to try a few of their more complex cocktails. The food bites looked good when others ordered them, but they did seem small so you might want to order more if you're hungry or check out other places in the market. They have a happy hour as well, so I'll have to make a return visit to check that out!

Yelp
The folks that work here are the best! Not only do they make some amazing cocktails, but their energy, personalities, warmth and hospitality are truly top notch. Additionally their Penicillin (my fave cocktail) is one of the best I've ever had! If you haven't had a chance to check Alegria out yet in their first year in business, be sure to make it a priority in the new year!

Yelp
To Gatekeep or Not... Rating: Alegria is an absolute hidden gem. Each visit has left me thoroughly impressed. First and foremost, their cocktail program is nothing short of amazing. They truly know their craft. And I've been impressed by the innovative concoctions. The service here is top-tier. The bartenders & staff are attentive, friendly, and they go the extra mile to make sure you have a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is engaging and fun, creating a lively and enjoyable ambiance. Think: great music, bubbles, Polaroids and good vibes! Alegria has become a go-to spot for me, and I can't get enough of it! If you're in search of great cocktails and exceptional service, don't miss out on Alegria. I've tried at least 5 of their cocktails so far, and LOVE the Espresso Martini the most. Of course, this is probably because I'm a mezcal girlie.

Yelp
This is a loud, fun Latin flair place that is great to get ready to go out. Their cocktails are outstanding, well balanced, and flavorful. The Latin food is on point. The empanada are crispy with full flavor stuffing with just the right spice level. The croquettes are perfectly fried with the gooey center you expect. I live this place.

Yelp
I met a friend for drinks at Alegria a few weeks ago. We started off with frozen margaritas and piña coladas; however, our margaritas were too tart and the piña coladas were too sweet. Undeterred, my friend and I ordered two alternate drinks from the cocktail menu that the bartender assured us were not as sweet. I had the Alegria Manhattan, which was made with mezcal wash mole, Averna amaro, cocchi americano, and blended bitters. This was the murkiest Manhattan I've ever had and it had no kick! My friend ordered a drink with mezcal that she was pleased with. I did not like that all the drinks we ordered were pre-made. This may have saved the bartenders some time; however, it resulted in a suboptimal cocktail experience. The food menu was limited, so my friend and I decided to go somewhere else to eat once we closed our tab.

Yelp
Alegria is Bryant Street Market's bar from the family behind Taqueria Habanero, which has a stand in the food hall very close to Alegria. My friend and I went on a Wednesday evening around 8 p.m. for drinks. Here's our experience. 1) Drinks: There are 15 cocktails, all $15. They have classics and a handful of their own concoctions. My friend ordered the "Last Word." He enjoyed the taste, but it wasn't chilled to standard. My "Dona Margarita" came with egg white foam on top and was delicious and refreshing. They also have beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options. If you want food, they sell small bites like guacamole and chips and croquettes. 2) Service: Even though they were busy and seemed frantic, they were polite. We didn't have to wait that long for our drinks. 3) Space: They have a small bar and a few tables nearby. It's inside a food hall so there are plenty of spaces to sit further away from the bar. 4) Neighborhood: It's in a new development with lots of restaurants, bars, and a cinema. There's a large parking lot for free near the Alamo Drafthouse.

Yelp
The service is excellent. The staff are amazing. They're engaging, funny, and personable and they make the best friends. The "Romero and Julietta" cocktail is my favorite! The bar is fun and they play good music. Algeria is a vibe!

Yelp
I wanted to like it because it's a cool spot inside a food hall with really interesting drink options but a few things made me reconsider any future visits. For starters, there's an automatic service charge. Another thing, the server handling the drinks and the money was doing it all without gloves or tongs. I'm sure this happens everywhere but something about seeing him less than 2 feet away from us picking up the garnishing with his bare hands just felt wrong. I want to like it but I feel like there's better places out there.

Yelp
True craft cocktails! I loved the energy of this bar. The music was loud & the bartenders were nice and very entertaining. All of the drinks are the same price which is a good deal. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
A small bar with maybe less than 20 seats in the food hall on Bryant St. Excellent and attentive service. I ordered the passionfruit mojito and it was so refreshing and not too sweet. I could've easily downed another 5 of these. I will definitely be back because they're right next to the Alamo Drafthouse.

Yelp
Top notch bar experience. Fabulous drinks and excellent service. Will, Jose, and Wilfredo are fantastic. Very diverse menu of craft cocktails and they even have food. The GUAC and chips and Ceviche are amazing. Super fresh. The bar is located at the end in the Bryant Street Food Hall. Open windows and very airy.

Yelp
I just moved to the neighborhood and this has become my neighborhood spot! Jose is incredible and he makes a mean cocktail... and the chicken sandwich is to die for. I always get the sangria, and I don't even make it thru the second one; that's how strong/good they are . I made it to the wall of fame, for being a frequent flyer... not sure if to be excited about this though .

Yelp
The drinks and vibe were amazing. I like the layout of the bar. It's a missed some good eateries perfect situation

Yelp
I love cocktails. I wish I could claim to have some kind of problem. But the flavor, the intensity, the creativity are what get me. Alegria NAILS this, regardless of taste. If you are an (anything) enthusiast, please hang here.

Yelp
My first time in this area for an event!! The outside is colorful but the inside is superrr cuteeee... and very welcoming colors as well!!!... the service in each food hall was grreeaaat everyone's customer service skills were great and the service they provided.. I walked around the food hall and to the end there's Alegria!! The Bar!!!.. it's bright it's colorful you get like a tropical or island vibe. I absolutely loooove the yellow decor with the green very inviting. My homegirl and I sat there while our food was being made!, Jose was a wonderful bartender!!! He was welcoming, patient as I was indecisive about which drink flavor I wanted. So I ended up with a #3 Prickly Pear and my Homegirl got a something . And I must saaaay you can taste the Alcohol !!! And they are some pretty ass drinks!! Jose did his thang!! And he also takes pride in his craft on the detailed presentation of each drink simply Flawless!!! ... I was told by one of the Chefs that no matter who's behind the bar they take their drink making game seriously and you can definitely tell !!... both drinks were Extreeeeeemly good!! I'd definitely recommend it and return!! Thank you Jose for the Excellent Customer Service

Yelp
It's cool that this place exists. It's in the food hall next to Alamo and across from metro bar. The atmosphere of the hall is certainly nice and done up in that ubqitious cookie-cutter urban slick style. The drinks themselves are alright - very much on the sweeter side so you might have to order boba style and say half sugar. The staff are industrious and too busy to be welcoming

Yelp
Went to Alegria and took Bobby for his special day. The banana clarified punch was something unique and retained the essence of the flavors. The drinks and the scenery outside the window made for a great fall night. It reminded me of that one time me and the guys burned Megalomart ad papers in the alley, it looked so beautiful until Hank had to get the fire extinguisher to stop it from burning Kahn's fence. Well I guess back to Arlen...

Yelp
Never again!!! Went there on Tuesday at 8:30 and was told it was "last call" and they were only serving shots and beer. We got a shot of dewars and a shot of tequila....with the mandatory 20% service charge, the bill was $39.00!!! That's totally unacceptable for 2 minuscule shots and an 8:30 last call!!!

Yelp
Stingy pours of unremarkable beer, plus they insisted two strangers (who had left) were with my party.

Yelp
Alegria is a gem! The drinks are some of the best cocktails you will have with a story to tell. The entire team is amazing and gives so much love to their menu and guests. At the moment, I am loving the assortment of mescal at the bar and dona margarita with passion fruit foam on the top! This place is located inside Bryant Street Market! You will not be dissapointed!

Yelp
There is a 20% surcharge (not a tip) on top of $16 drinks in a setting with little ambiance (food hall). This means if you tip you are paying ~$22 for one cocktail if you tip 20%. Not worth it compared to any other bar, brewery, or beer garden. The drinks seem tequila heavy which is different.

Yelp
I didn't have any food but I'm going to put it five stars anyway because I already know it's bussin' Let me tell you though the drink was I can't remember the name but it's the one that "tastes like your childhood juice box" (yes that's in the menu) it's sooooo good! Upon coming in I was greeted by Karina she was so dope and suggested the drink for me, Jose had it in my hand 2 minutes later I couldn't have asked for more felt like a regular already 10/10. The space overall is so cool and I would deff recommend for sure!!!
