"Yet to publicly announce a fixed opening schedule, but already including breakfast specials on the menu, the 2,095-square-foot Taqueria El Buen Pastor sits inside the shuttered former Baja Fresh on the southwest side of the Mall Ring Circle, right at the intersection of Stephanie Street and Sunset Road. The counter-service space offers plenty of seats inside and features a self serve area for condiments and salsas. On the menu, $9 burritos, hurrache or tortas, $5.50 sopes, $13 chicken flautas with rice and beans, and the always popular $11.50 asada fries or nachos. Tacos include lengua, cabeza, chorizo, pollo, asada and tripa choices, priced between $2.50 and $3 each. For breakfast, a trio of $10.50 selections, including huevos rancheros, created with “eggs over hard in tomato sauce, rice, beans and 4 fresh, handmade tortillas.”" - Bradley Martin

Yelp
Visiting Las Vegas and decided to leave the strip in search of street tacos/mexican food! We came across this location on yelp and we were not disappointed! Service and food were exceptional. My husband and I ordered the taco special for $14 so worth the price. Definitely recommend visiting tacos & miches

Trang Q.

Yelp
I used to come here during happy hour for $1 tacos and you can't beat that. I would usually get one of each and it would filled you up. The services was quick and the ambiance is simple. I would come back

Robert F.

Yelp
Stopped in for the great Happy Hour! $1.50 street tacos. They offer four different choices (chicken, chorizo, carnitas and abodita). We ordered an assortment so we could try them all. First off they fill up these little tortillas with lots of meat, they definitely don't skimp because it's happy hour. We enjoyed all of the tacos as the flavors were good and the seasoning spot on. A few cons, they could have been a little hotter (temperature not spice) and the carnitas were a little dry. My favorite was definitely the horchata. Can't beat that happy hour special!

Yelp
If your French and you think you'll find a round loaf of sourdough bread, that's not the Mexican definition of Miche'. From my time in L.A. I learned it's a truncated form of micheladas, which are fantastic at this location. The perfect drink to go with a great taco. IMHO. the best thing to order is the Ramen Birria with two tacos. PRO TIP: Dipping is allowed and sensational. Try it! They also have very large tortas and their meat can't be beat. I notice large portions of just about every dish. Nice. The happy hour is also a highlight. $1.50 tacos, $3 beers. That runs from 3-6 p.m. Chicken fingers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs might be on the menu, but be serious. If you have to, go with the cheeseburger. It looked like a widow maker in size. I saw a couple folks not even finishing these monsters. Biggest reason to come in is the people. Not just the servers, but the crowd. A good time atmosphere with great all around food! 05/24

Yelp
I love the food here! I have yet to have something I didn't like. And the mango michelada is so good!

Noel C.

Yelp
3 tacos 1 carnita and 2 adobada beans and rice was delicious. One thing I love bout this spot is the grilled jalapeños and onions.

Veronica H.

Yelp
Went for happy hour and it was a great deal. Tacos are tasty and miches were delish! Service was also great.

Melanie A.

Yelp
After running errands, I was craving tacos.. Tacos de Asada hit the spot! The chef in the back was quick, food was hot n fresh. I'll be coming back again!

Dan S.

Yelp
While in the area for some shopping, we decided to go to try Tacos & Miches. It is located in the Galleria Mall ring circle off of Sunset and Stephanie. It has a similar feel to most of the other Mexican good restaurants in the area with a large board with photos to help with orders. Food With so many options, it is tough to choose. I decided to go with the carne asada nachos and my wife the beef and cheese burrito. The nachos looked pretty, but after only two bites, I realized there was no cheese. That's a big important part of nachos I think. They eventually brought me a cup of cheese and I finished up as many as I could. They were good, but a little disappointing with the presentation. I was disappointed there was not a salsa bar as well. 3/5 Service The service was nothing stellar. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. They did not check on us throughout and we had to track them down to let them know about the cheese. 2/5 Ambiance As I mentioned, the restaurant had your standard Mexican restaurant feel. The restaurant was pretty clean, which is always a plus. 3.5/5 There are many options to choose from if you are looking for Mexican food. The food itself was rather tasty, but the experience wasn't anything noteworthy. It's worth trying, but not going out of your way for.

Yelp
Chicken enchiladas had old chicken meat so they loaded the enchiladas yuk! So I dump it, El pastor tacos were good.

Jose P.

Yelp
This review is for a Sat during lunch. Arrived around 12:30pm and place was empty, only 2 couples sitting down. The menu was good, a lot selections, everything looked good so we're definitely coming back try other stuff. We ordered Ramen Birria with 2 carne tacos and it was fantastic. Meat was tender, very authentic. Also ordered two different Micheladas and those were also fantastic! Not sure how this place is during a busy time but for a slow Sat lunch time it deserves 4 stars for food and customer service.

Dawn O.

Yelp
Very expensive! It was ok food but I probably wouldn't go back. There are other places better and with a Margarita!!

Ann N.

Yelp
First time here. Got inside and no one. I wasn't sure if we should stay for dinner and sooo glad we did. Although I wished we were here for HH (We will be back for HH), for a family of 3, we were so full with all that we ordered and it was $56 TOTAL! Their horchata drinks were huge! Michaladas are a must. Adobada tacos, good. Ask for more lime and it'll be perfect. Fish taco, great! Shrimp taco, amazing! Birria tacos, pricey but almost worth it. Clean location. We got a table away from the speakers so we can hear each other. Service was great. The lady who took our order checked on us a few times.

David G.

Yelp
This place has all the authenticity. And the food surprised us, it was so good. I had the enchiladas, and the sauce was superb, and the portions, very generous, even if we had to eat it with plastic forks. My wife had the flautas, and they were good too.

Alexis M.

Yelp
Came here on a whim; you would honestly miss it since it's kinda tucked away in one of the shopping centers around Galleria Mall. However, that's what makes this place a hidden gem. The tacos are to die for. We usually get the adobada tacos without pineapple--this is our favorite. I also previously tried the burria tacos and the burria ramen which were both delicious; the ramen wasn't personally my thing but still very good. My boyfriend and I are now regulars, and their lunch special is a great value for what you get (3 tacos, rice, and refried beans with cotija cheese and 2 chips). I must say, their rice and beans are perfect--such a simple staple that many Mexican places I've tried around the valley just can't seem to get right. The staff are friendly, and the service is fast. If you're looking for something fancy though, this is not your place. Very casual, but honestly I'm not into "fancy tacos" anyways. Highly recommend checking this place out :)

Robert G.

Yelp
I'd give this place a 4.5 but am rounding up due to some of the confused lower ratings. This is definitely a more authentic street taco joint in that they are small double stacked corn tortillas with meat, cilantro, onions, and Chile. I had 3 different tacos (pastor/adobada, carne asada, chorizo) and a carne asada muleta. All were good and not bad for the price. some folks seem upset as they aren't used to street tacos since they don't have lettuce or sour cream. Sorry It ain't taco bell! Both red and green Chile are pretty good. Their horchata wasn't my favorite as they definitely used condensed milk which is a way to thicken and sweeten it up. I ended up dumping about half out and adding water but the food itself was good, especially for being in that part of town.

Manuel B.

Yelp
Food: the tacos were delicious! Very hard to find good quality taco shop in Vegas. Usually it's the food trucks that offer better authentic tacos but this place nailed it. The Michelada's were amazing definitely give them a try. Service was very quick, not long after we ordered we got our food. Not sure what people expect, it's a taco shop not Lindo Michoacán, don't let the other reviews saying service isn't good deter you.

Jazmine B.

Yelp
If I stand there for 5 straight minutes looking at the menu and you don't say a word to me, I'm walking away. A "hello" or "be right with you" is not that hard. I have no idea if you're even open or closing up or what's going on when you just completely ignore me standing there and no one else is in line.

Micah L.

Yelp
OK I thought I reviewed this place before but may be not. anyways, I've been going to the joint for quite a while. The service is always really nice and there's quite a few spots to sit. Where this place really shines is the happy hour deals. With everything going astronomical pricewise if you stop by here from 3 to 6 from Monday through Friday you can get tacos for $1.25 apiece which is awesome now they decided to sweeten the deal. By adding a VIP program. When you sign up, you get a free can of soda. Also, they will text you about certain days where you get a deal Wednesday I was able to get 15% off of anything on the menu and decided to try try the carne asada nachos which are awesome. Check the picture they do not slouch on the portions. So if you are up and around the area and craving some tacos on the cheap stop on by.

Amber B.

Yelp
Came here and ordered the shrimp tacos. They didn't clean any of the shrimp so they still had the poop vein on them. They fully refunded us though.

Michael P.

Yelp
The wife and I stopped in for lunch. I ordered the Queso Birria tacos and Birria ramen with the cucumber aqua fresca to drink. She had the carne asada nachos. The service was pleasant. The tacos were some of the best Birria tacos I've ever had. They were filed with lots of delicious, tender meat. The Birria ramen was delicious too. The nachos, holy smokes so good! They grill the meat over mesquite wood and they were amazing! The only thing that wasn't good was the cucumber aqua fresca, it was super sweet and had a weird flavor. We will be back for sure!

Caroline I.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered the three taco plate with refried beans/rice for lunch. The lunch comes with flavored water, so we chose watermelon-which is very good/refreshing and beef for our tacos. The employees are very friendly and welcoming. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The meat wasn't overly spicy. It was tender and juicy. It had cilantro and onions-perfect. I recommend trying this authentic Mexican restaurant, it is so good. It's in a building facing Galleria Mall. There is parking next to the building. We will return because this place is a gem!

Amanda B.

Yelp
I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the value. They have a $9.99 lunch special with 3 tacos, beans, rice, and a drink! I stopped by one day looking for something for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and a great portion for the price. I stopped by last week and I'm still thinking about it today. I'll be back!

Sasha A.

Yelp
I've now been to this location twice. All in all, it's not bad. Looking at it from the exterior, it doesn't look like "fast food" but it is. The interior is not much different than a Roberto's. Nothing fancy. The first time I went there, I missed Happy Hour by 15 minutes. A lot of people were surprised that they didn't honor it. However, rules can't be changed just for one person, so I understand. I went back today for Happy Hour and ordered the tacos. Pretty good value for $1.00. The food had been above average both times. It was made to order, tasted good, nice portions, fresh ingredients, and made pretty quickly. Both times the service was not the best, but not the worst. Unless I go in for the $1.00 tacos, I probably won't be back, I like the place in the mall food court better. The reason I give them 4 Stars is because they charge a $1.00 service fee. I'm assuming because I used a debit card. The tables were not clean as well.

Darlene B.

Yelp
Food was not right and didn't taste good! Waitress didn't understand English for our order and the mistakes we brought to her attention. Owner wanted my phone number to call me and she never did. The food is not good here. I even tried contacting her at this restaurant and she still never returned my call

Crystal V.

Yelp
I had been before and food was good but the second time around boy was that a mistake. We ordered food to go and first it was really busy and the wait was pretty long but i thought worth it from the food and quality i got the first time around. Well we got home unpacked everything got settled in to eat our food and opening up my container I had ordered a quesadilla with birria and first look i notice a little hair sticking out and eww but i was hungry so aww man well i tried to just put that piece to the side and still enjoy the rest well what a HUGE mistake i took a bite of my next piece and a hair in it too!!! To say i was disgusted and not even hungry anymore. For the price and the wait and the hair i think I'll pass on another time and take my business else where .

Kristalina S.

Yelp
Love it! Shocked to see the overall rating. As a Latina that grew up eating authentic Mexican food I give this spot 5 stars for quality and taste! The service was awesome, everyone was super friendly. It's clean inside and offers a quick bite that hits the spot. We will be back!

Michael T.

Yelp
The location right next to the mall is perfect. The food quality for the price is awesome. Definitely recommend the Tortas because they're so flavorful and they give a good amount of meat as well.

David R.

Yelp
Michi Roman was good roman noodles wasn't homemade they tryed charge wife $60 at first for two Roman's and two sodas until we corrected the price roman wasn't bad it was good but the noodles wasn't fresh it probably could been top roman noodles inside Birria Ramen sodas where on the pricey side a bit for can idk about anything else there we didn't try

Selene G.

Yelp
This place blows.. we walked in at 7:30pm for a first visit. Husband ordered a torta & adobado taco and I ordered the 3 taco special. The description for the taco special says it comes with fruit water the lady says they don't have anymore.. okay whatever. Get our food, carne asada tacos were good and the carnitas was good. Nothing special from either just normal tacos. My husband gets his adobada comes out no pineapple even though the description says it comes with it. The torta was very plain, no mayo or sour cream (like they're supposed to) and just no flavor. So no fruit water like described, taco didn't come as described on them and the torta no flavor. The place was also overpriced for what it was and not to mention the girl just staring at us as she asked to sign and asking to leave a tip. Just not a good experience and the food was not impressive. Way better places to go in Henderson. Don't stop in.

Brenda S.

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best, the service was okay. The location is clean, but The food didn't taste like authentic Mexican food, the sauce for my burrito was extremely sour. The lime definitely overpowered the whole taste. My partner got Al pastor tacos & shrimp, The shrimp taco was overly stuffed with guacamole & the pastor portion wasn't worth the price. Everything was brought out in plastic plates/ plastic cups/ plastic utensils. We ordered 2 micheladas but they were extremely flat & the plastic cup didn't help.

Penny G.

Yelp
The Tortas are AMAZING I found the place while visiting NVFCU and I was hungry and this place didn't disappoint

Jamie C.

Yelp
Not a good experience for me . The first time I went the hours were marked wrong and they were closed after I drove all the way over there. The 2nd time I went I really wanted shrimp tacos they were out of shrimp so I ordered 2 fish tacos instead and 2 carnitas tacos Togo . They only gave me 1 Carnitas taco even tho I paid for 2 and the fish tacos were not good :/ Also they charged an SCV fee of $1 on my transaction even after I tipped on the card . I paid $18.26 for 3 tacos ... that's crazy. I give up on coming here unfortunately. There are plenty of tacos places so I'll find another one

Miesha C.

Yelp
This place has the best tacos in Las Vegas and omg their Miches are soooooo good we took some cups w/the mix to go to have them at home. And the service is so amazing !

Erin S.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place since it's been opened. Came in today to get some tacos and their was 5 dead cockroaches on the floor where we were sitting(no one bothered to sweep them up or anything )It was so disappointing, this was one of my favorite spots in Henderson .

W S.

Yelp
It was our first time here and we ordered the carne Asada plate and tacos de asada. The food was really good the meat was juicy the refried beans were tasty and the rice was perfect. The workers were friendly and even came to our table to make sure everything was good. The restaurant was clean and tables were spotless. The only draw back I can tell is the soda is sold by the can and not fountain drinks. They do have a number of alcohol drinks and some other drinks sold from a glass container I think it was horchata and another reddish purple drink . This place is definitely going on my must return list

Shaneil M.

Yelp
I totally fell for their sudden onslaught of internet advertising, and I don't regret it. The Barria ramen was delicious: lightly spicy, loaded with meat, and piping hot! The mini Barria tacos were also delicious, but please note that when they say "mini" they aren't kidding. The carne asada nachos were a whole other story. It's like they weren't even from the same restaurant. The carne asada was dry, under-seasoned, and overcooked-yet-cool to the touch. It was so disappointing after the Barria. The miche was spot on for flavor. You will need a napkin to pick up the cup, as they slop the bright red seasoning all over the outside of the cup, but it's worth the risk of a little mess! The service was so-so, but what I expect from walk up ordering.

Frances R.

Yelp
Food is so good here. Staff is friendly and attentive. Music is always on point. Very spacious, they have a full bar.

Angela M.

Yelp
We placed a to-go order for our office and I went to pick it up. The food was delicious and the staff provided fast service! It looked nice when I got there and it wasn't too busy around 11:30 AM.

Jaime S.

Yelp
The cashier had a bad attitude the entire interaction. She gave me attitude for asking for another small hot sauce and threw a bag at me when and proceeded to change the channel on the t.v Small portions for for $32.30. Im sure due to her being mad.

James D.

Yelp
My wife and I had a good meal. I had a hot dog and watermelon drink. My wife had tacos and hac drink.

Chelsea T.

Yelp
Amazing customer service! the Food was hot & great! The Ambiance of this little restaurant is cute and a great spot for some food and drinks after work or school thank you!

Esmeralda M.

Yelp
This place was recommend by one of my friends. And I was not disappointed. My husband and I had some quesa birria tacos with consomé absolutely delicious:) my son had carné asada sopes so good! Mariana was our cashier/server she was very friendly. We really enjoyed our experience. Thank you Mariana!!!

Ashley D.

Yelp
Service was great here! Very attentive this business has serious potential the food could be a little better but something that can be fixed if the owner is attentive to this location it can grow to be as successful as others or even better. So overall make the food with a bit more love add flavor and a little social media marketing n this place can be the new spot.

Chelsea S.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was fast. You order at counter and they bring food to your table. Prices were pretty high. Spent $70 for 3 of us which we thought was outrageous. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Louie S.

Yelp
Social distancing markers and signs posted. Masks required to enter. Talk about yum! This place has quite a menu and everything is delicious! For our first time visit, we were definitely well taken care of. An employee that was outside opened the door for us and we were greeted by Marianna who took our order at the cash register. They have various specials that are day specific, so be on the lookout for them. That said, we ordered the red chilaquiles, carnitas plate, rice and beans, and chicken fingers with fries for our little ones. We washed it down with bottled water, horchata, and Jamaica. The drinks alone were worth the visit, but the food, just hit the spot, it was not typical subtle Mexican food, but Mexican food with a bang! Green and Red Chile were brought out to the table along with our made to order food. What I really liked was that our children's food was brought out first. Fries were crispy and chicken tenders had the right flavor. Now call me "crazy!", but I asked my wife for a scoop of carnitas and they melded really well with my chilaquiles. This is definitely a spot for us to eat really good Mexican food and will stop by when we are in the area. Give them a chance, your mouth will thank you for it!

Toya L.

Yelp
Okay this place is a complete rip off! $7 for one quesa birria taco! That's no sides just the taco. All of the other prices are outrageous as well. $5 for a drink??!! Then she refused to give us water. Yikes. This is a first! Say what?? It's Mexican food not a steakhouse. Don't waste your time. Save your money.

Nurse C.

Yelp
Listen to me clearly. If you want BOMB birria and tacos you NEED to go here. Friendly and quick and the food is BOMB ASF. Stop playing with these stars and go try it for yourself. Thank me later

Peter C.

Yelp
I personally only order the Birria tacos with consomé and the Birria ramen and taco combo. But the carne asade fries are good too. The comsome can be hit or miss sometimes as far as flavor but normally is goes really well with the Birria tacos. Just FYI the Birria tacos that come with the Birria ramen combo is smaller than a regular order of just Birria tacos. The Michelada was definitely different to what I'm accustomed to drinking. To me it tasted like a spicy Bloody Mary cocktail.
