"6th & La Brea, which comes from Tony Yanow’s Artisanal Brewer’s Collective, will open on July 16 at a prime La Brea Avenue space in Mid City. Situated precisely on that aforementioned street corner, here’s a glance at chef Jihee Kim’s menu. After a stint at Rustic Canyon, Kim added pan-roasted salmon, mussels escabeche toast, prime ribeye cut with rapini and furikake, glass noodle bowl and crispy cauliflower, or leek salad with broken silken tofu. But the dumplings, which Kim prepares with mushroom and serves with some lime-inflected soy sauce, should appeal to any kind of diner. The floor-to-ceiling windows makes this brewery brighter than most, and designer Melissa Ritchie created a 8,400 square foot space with a patio, private room, brewing quarters, room filled with community tables, and a small traditional dining area. Award-winning brewer Noah Regnery is at the helm, and put 16 taps on a seven-barrel system with West Coast IPAs, English, German, and Belgian ales. Expect a rotating menu of house brews and guest brews, with taps from five tanks meant for the bar’s tap system, as well as cocktails, and mostly California wines. Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday." - Mona Holmes

"Craft beer comes to La Brea in a big way, thanks to the Artisanal Brewers Collective team behind the new 6th & La Brea. The restaurant and on-site brewery opens next month, but here’s an early peek inside. As the name suggests, 6th & La Brea opens just north of Wilshire Boulevard on La Brea, across the street from the La Brea Bakery flagship and steps from Republique. The corner property is ringed in tall glass, offering exceptional views to the work designer Melissa Ritchie completed inside. Typical for many Los Angeles restaurants now, expect blonde wood inside, along with pops of dark color, white walls, and long communal tables. But there’s still to look at, with multiple TVs for watching sports, and a soon-to-be-active actual brewery in the back. Much like several of ABC’s other projects, this new restaurant and bar will offer the chance for hop heads to enjoy fresh beer made just a few feet away. Food comes from Rustic Canyon alum Jihee Kim, with a focus on Asian-inspired California eats. There will be vegan mushroom dumplings, fried boneless whole chicken served with sweet chili sauce, and betel leaf rolls that can be served vegan thanks to Impossible Meat fillings. As with any proper pub, it’ll serve a burger, plus a full lineup of cocktails, beer, and wine. Overall, expect 8,400 square feet of big, open bar and dining space, with room for 168 inside and another 80 out on the big patio. There’s also going to be a semi-private 25-seat lounge in the back, complete with its own dark stone bar. As for hours, expect daily service from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. most nights, with an extension to midnight Thursday through Saturday, and an opening at 9 a.m. on weekends." - Farley Elliott

Eclectic new brew pub just off the Miracle Mile. Nice fresh beer selections, (their own brewery is soon to be on-line) full bar and a short but very unique food menu. Service is fantastic with friendly and attentive wait staff. (Thank you Drew) Food presentation and preparation are top notch. Space is open with lots of glass and natural lighting. Parking is rough in this area, but they have valet for $7, which is terrific. For our first visit on their first day, we were pleased with our choice.

The food was great, but it came out reeeeaaalllly late. We ordered our food around 2:40pm, and we could finally taste it at 3:30pm. Not just us, but everybody almost got mad bc of the time.. Also I ordered sprite, but it ran out that I got a ginger ale instead which was too ginger...(It was not suppose to be like this flavor..) Even I order coke, it takes FOREVER to get it... I know this place is new and it's very nice mood, but they still have a long way to go.. 요약 : 음식 맛있고 분위기는 좋으나 주문하고서 음식이 개ㅐㅐ느리게 나옴ㅎ 콜라한잔주문해도 20분있다가 준다ㅎ 기다리다 배고파 디질뻔

Seat yourself. Order from the bar. Food was ok. It was really hard to get any help from staff. We ordered from the website to our table. The water is serve yourself. Recommend the Hash Tag on fleek cocktail. Plenty of different beers to choose from. Definitely order from the website there was a line to order from the bar. They have inside and outside seating.

Very slow service. Waited for about 35-40 mins for food then tried to check out and waited for another 20. I got the steak and eggs and the Portions are quite small for a $23 dish. Otherwise food was tasty and great atmosphere!

Came here for the first time this week and sat at the bar. Let me tell you, I was very impressed with costumer service. Every bartender at the bar was super nice. And they were all attentive, friendly and polite. Very hard to find people like this in LA. I really value this. The restaurant is very nice and spacious. Love the vibe. They have some table games you can play. Here's why I gave them four stars. I ordered an appetizer, shrimp ceviche. But there was very little shrimp in it and too much red onion. The flavor was very good but a wish they put a little bit more shrimp in it and not so much onion. I can only eat so many of them. I also ordered just the fried chicken breast no bun. The breaded part was too over done. It tasted burnt. I didn't like it at all. But the chicken breast actually tasted really good. I wish they would decrease the amount of breading a little bit and not over cook it next time. I'll definitely try this place again.

It was my first time trying out this place just a couple days ago and I was amazed with the variety of drinks they have here. The prices also seemed very reasonable especially the $10 flights! I tried the “Moms eggnog” “Trouble in little Oaxaca” and several different beers. I had an arts District vibe to it and they had table games and even a photo booth! Parking might be a hassle usually the best option is to park on La Brea where the meters are at if you’re going later in the night. It was a great spot to spend with friends and I will definitely be coming here again! I also recommend their loaded fries they give you three options of me to choose from.
