Awesome Spam musubi, good selection of coffee, always clean, and always great service. I was lucky enough to discover this 7-11 on an early morning drive to hike the Makapu'u Lighthouse. After that first time, it has become a tradition before every Makapu'u hike and for good reason.
If you need gas, you can fill up for what isn't any more overpriced gas than pretty much anywhere else and you can swing in for a good selection of snacks and drinks for the typically low 7-11 prices.
Personally, I go straight for the musubi. They've got a selection including Katsu, Teriyaki, and Deluxe (including egg) and I've had them all and thoroughly enjoyed every single one. They're always hot and fresh and they're about a buck fifty on average and totally worth it.
Good selection of coffee, plenty of 10% Kona roast options to refill your mug. They've got a few different brands aside from 7-11 and even though I've been by during some pretty busy moments, they've been on top of refilling all the carafes.
If you're looking for other drinks or snacks, this is also a good place because they're usually running specials on bottled water, juice, Gator/Power Ade, etc. I know this is typical of a 7-11, but if you're on a road trip around the Island or heading on a hike and forgot your reusable bottles at home, it's a good place to stock up and be able to count on relatively decent prices. There's also a selection of snacks imported directly from 7-11 Japan, but none of them really appealed to me. If that's what you're looking for, though, this is the place to be I guess.
As for the service, it has always been really friendly and quick. They keep everything very well stocked and clean and they definitely keep the line moving.
Anyways, if you're looking for a killer musubi at a low price along with a cup of coffee, you can count on this 7-11 to get you in and out and on your way 24/7, 365.
Well, to be honest, I don't know if they're open 24/7, 365 days a year, but I do know they're open most of the time and can hook you up with the grinds and java needed to get you on your way up the Lighthouse.
