7 Hills church has truly become my home and feels like a family to me. Each week, God’s presence and love are so strong—you can feel it in the worship, the message, and the community. It was College Night that first led me here, and I’m so grateful it did❤️

Awesome complex, friendly people, amazing pastors and challenging messages with some comedy. Pastors are all down to earth and real people. Music was a bit too loud as you couldn’t understand the lyrics of the singers over the music, but it was energized. Love this church!

I visited 7 Hills Church in Florence over Labor Day weekend, and unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. The service began with a strong start, and I was intrigued by the pastor’s illustration about the U.S. women’s Olympic relay team and the importance of passing the baton in the “exchange zone.” I was eager to hear how this would connect to passing our faith to the next generation. Instead, the message shifted into an extended discussion about tithing — presented as the primary way we can pass on our faith. There was little mention of Jesus, salvation, or the gospel itself, which was disheartening. After the service, my friends and I looked through a booklet titled Giving in God’s House found in the seat pocket. The booklet discouraged “nitpicking” how we give, yet went on to debate whether contributions should be based on net or gross income — an odd and contradictory focus. To top it off, the pastor ended by publicly prophesying that over 100 teens would give their lives to Christ that week. While I sincerely hope that happens, the entire experience left me frustrated and with a bad taste in my mouth. I left with the distinct impression that money, not the gospel, was the central message of the day. As a believer, that was heartbreaking, and had this been my first introduction to God, I’m not sure I would have wanted to know Him at all. If the goal is to bring people closer to Jesus, this service missed the mark. I sincerely hope this church reflects on its priorities and puts Christ — not money — at the center of its teaching 7 Hills, you can and must do better.

I’m extremely grateful for 7 Hills church. Pastor Luke & ALL who volunteer & work with the youth are a God send to me & my family. I have 5 teen girls who are eager to attend the youth service every week & go without me even suggesting it! They actually pass up other opportunities to not miss services on Wednesday. They are being taught Biblical truth that is relevant to their worldly interactions & current experiences. The pastors actually teach & MODEL biblical truth. Pastor Marcus is humble. He teaches God’s Word using practical, everyday examples. He has a Godly mentor whom he connects with on a regular basis to keep him accountable. He not only is in God‘s word seeking information so that he can come up with a sermon. But I can tell, by how passionate he is when delivering the message, that he has actually received a word from God. It’s no doubt to me that he spends time at the feet of Jesus regularly, praising, worshiping & being anointed by the Holy Spirit, receiving oil so that he can pour it out on those that God has entrusted him with. This church is a blessing & I’m grateful that I’m here.

I have gone to 7 hills for 5 years and it has been a life changing experience. Everyone is so caring and welcoming. Pastor Marcus gives great sermons and really allows you to talk to God and get closer to him. I also got baptized 2 years ago and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Thank you 7 hills for being such a great caring church that is so devoted to God.

We love 7 Hills Church so much because we always feel the presence of Jesus there! The pastors and staff and people do their best to share the love of Jesus from the moment you park your car, walking in the door, the worship and especially the messages through the Pastor Marcus! We have been so blessed to become part of this church family! I have found healing here and I have been able to grow so much spiritually! We have made some of our best friends here and we love this church family! Come join us! We would love to meet you!💜

7 Hills Church became my home about 2.5 years ago, and the very first experience I had on Sunday at the Florence location truly changed my life. I was invited by a very close friend who attended for years, and previously became distant in my relationship with Jesus. Right when we pulled in, we were welcomed at every turn in the parking lot by a phenomenal parking team with signs and made a great first impression that made me feel so much more comfortable before even walking through the doors! As we walked in, I was greeted at every door, and connected with there Next Generation team where I was personally invited to check out there young adult ministry "College Night". Service was great, worship team was so good, and after service I knew this was somewhere God's spirit was welcomed. Fast forward to now, 7 Hills has been a true family to me, and I'm so thankful for Pastor Marcus and Sara, and the entire team across all 4 locations. Their hearts for serving the local community through outreaches and investing in the next generation through Hills Kids, Legacy, and College Night, there truly is a place for everyone! Couldn't recommend this Church more, God is moving at 7 Hills and is not done!

Yelp
what a joke. It takes a minimum of 25 minutes to get out of my residential neighborhood. The fact that people will flip you off while trying to cut you off is ridiculous. They apparently missed the sermon. How dare I attempt to get out of the neighborhood I pay property taxes in because of over 5000+ people who don't belong in the subdivision.

Jeffrey T.

Yelp
More of a motivational organization than it is a church. I attended a few times trying to give it the benefit of the doubt but each time left disappointed. Never heard an actual Bible sermon. The greeters were friendly but that was where it stopped. Definitely felt more new age instead of Biblically based. It seems (I can't prove one way or the other) that they do have good outreach programs and help when disasters strike. I felt the pastor comes across as holier than thou and not someone who I would go to with personal problems.

Sarah C.

Yelp
Not a church at all, there was barely any scripture used in the sermon. The entire sermon time was filled with videos and no preaching or scripture. Absolutely never again, as soon as we stepped into the "auditorium" not sanctuary I got a bad feeling.

Yelp
Zero stars (unfortunately, you have to give 1 to be able to post). I went to a service early this year, and it seemed incredibly cult like. Everything felt very politically motivated. Politics referenced 4 times, saying you were marked if you received the covid shot. They put the fear of an apocalypse in the minds of those attending (a beautiful family, then the parents literally physically losing their young daughter. Searching for her starving and finally dying amidst the ruins of what was once the U.S. never finding their child) all on a huge white video screen. It became quite clear that they are preaching fear to these families under the guise of Christianity to sway them to right-wing evangelism. I was so disturbed that after leaving, I researched the church. Sure enough, it was brought up from the Southern Baptist belt. Based in Florence Kentucky in a huge and expensive all white building, reeking wirh the wrath of gluttony. Extending satellite services to our area. There were no real sermons. Just horror stories to be told to have these participants believe that if they didn't follow the rules of the church, it would lead to their demise. Needless to say, I haven't been back. I'd love to see an undercover news team go in and really report on what's happening here. Oh, everyone was nice....yes almost too nice.

Yelp
I was going there for years but since falling on hard financial times with a disability I'm unable to work..So while waiting for S.S. Insurance, a long dragged out process with them. I also TRIED to reach out to a "7Hills" and speak to a Human and got no where, it's all online and no one answers the phone ever!...It's probably easier to get some assistance from "Fort Knox"..Sad the church is supposed to be there for the needy in their community yet....I noticed the money is going on prisons 1st and huge events, before taking care of your own...Just answer the phone show you care for the hurting in your church.

Yelp
Absolutely love this church. I have been going here for some time and the people are amazing and genuine. The first time I visited it felt different than other places and just felt like home!

Yelp
My sister attends this church every time it has services. She volunteers to go out and help people. And she takes a ministry class. My sister also became homeless and jobless. She was long out of contact with any friends I knew about and her ex boyfriend. I live over seven hours away. The only place I'd know where she would be, sleeping in her car, was 7 hills. I attempted to reach out to the prayer lines at both 7 hills church and Marcus Mecum websites. When I finally did get ahold of a human being they said they would refer me to someone who could help, but they never did. Good luck to anyone trying to get a number other than the prayer lines anywhere on the internet for this business. So I tried a different approach and emailed 7 hills church marketing department with my desperate pleas for my sister. Finally a kind woman got me in touch with her direct pastor, Ryan Burkart. He said he would help. Then he never responded back and wouldn't return my calls. I was left on my own again with no explanation as of why.

Frank L.

Yelp
I debated whether to take a Bible with me on my first visit to 7 Hills Church. Good thing I didn't, I would have been the oddity, not to Bible be seen there. There were however Disney Princesses roaming the lobby, part of the "At the Movies" theme. Services consisted of very polished singers, speakers and finally the big screen broadcast of the pastor. Content of sermon was what I would expect of a self improvement service. This must suit some people, there was a large crowd in attendance, but it completely missed what I was looking for. I will not make a second visit.

Melinda D.

Yelp
If I could give negative stars I would. I came to the church when they were new and small. I broke ground with them for the new building. I recruited people that still go there. Unfortunately, I didn't know they would eventually reject my disabled son. They openly discriminated against him until he finally stopped going. They stated they could not help in every area in every demographic. So yes i agree with all the other reviews they do a lot for the community and for kids just not the special needs community.

Yelp
I have been attending 7 Hills for 8 years and for the first time today I saw it from an outsider's perspective. When you see things all the time you tend to forget how wonderful they are. Today, I brought someone onto campus and explained 7 Hills to them. 1. Parking - I her the friendly parking attendants, the acceasability of parking and explained that in the winter there are little busses that give people rides to the front door. 2. Facility - I showed her the beautiful entry way and how impressive the building it is. The space isnt important for an "awe factor" as much as its important for people who get fearful of having a lot of people in a small space. People who dont suffer from this type of anxiety dont understand how important it is to not feel crammed in. 7 Hills offers space for everyone to feel at home. There are even comfort rooms and rooms behind tinted glass for people who may have special needs for their health. Very unique. Not to mention how clean everything is, even the bathrooms! 3. Attitude - The people volunteering and working at the church were friendly to my guest in every way. My visitor commented on how nice everyone was...not "acting" nice but genuine in their intention to make her feel welcomed. 4. Organization - my guest was impressed with all the working parts and how organized people who worked there were with the people coming in and meeting their needs. 5. Safety - She praised all the people who were making sure everything was secure and running safely. 6. Programs and Opportunities- As we left, I explained to my guest 7 Hills Small groups, service options, outreach programs, the conferences, SUMMIT training, the Worship Academy, the teams, the volunteers and I even pointed out the building where South Eastern University classes are held. She was BEYOND impressed with everything 7 Hills had to offer for every age group, life place and even how 7 Hills loves non judgementally on everyone in the community. 7. Staff - I explained the leadership roles of everyone on staff and she was impressed with how many people are available to meet the needs of anyone or any situation that may arise. When you think about how many people that invest their lives into serving God and the church its mind blowing. We were just stopping by the church to take our children to a program, so she didnt get to experience a service but she said for sure she would.come back for a service, even though she is Catholic she thinks she would like it. (I also love the online option to watch service). This was an overview and as I encouraged my guest to go online and fully check out everything 7 Hills has to offer...I suggest that as well to anyone else looking for a new church home. After my 8 years, there the aweee is renewed in my heart for 7 Hills and I am beyond grateful that I can call 7 Hills my church home.

Yelp
This is an incredible church. Our family experienced 7HillsChurch Online and have been so inspired that we are moving to Florence to be apart of this church. Pastor Marcus is a great communicator and makes understanding the Bible really tangible. The creative ways this church reaches people always makes life interesting. From the Heart the City initiatives to their annual At The Movies Series, this church really makes living a Christ following lifestyle enjoyable. I would invite anyone to come and experience a service at 7 Hills Church.

Yelp
I have been looking for a small old fashion Baptist church, with old fashion hyms. That is what I was use to. I have tried larger churches even moved by membership to one. Got involved in weekly visitation to different communities inviting them to church, also helped with my mom in the nursery. The more we got inolved the more we got discouraged. I had my daughter and son n law come one Sunday. I heard people behind us making comments on what my son n law was wearing which was a nice pair of jeans. He also heard the comment. I left, looking for a God preaching church. There again I went back looking for a small church. I never could find what I was looking for. A friend of mine invited me to 7 Hills. I was scared seeing how big and how many people were there. I was like a little country girl going to the big city. When the music started I didn't know what to think. When Pastor Marcus preached I was able to understand the sermon. He is very clear in his message. I liked his way of preaching. I still waited to go back. Then came back wanting to try it again and again. This Baptist hymn siging, small church going women, now calls 7 Hills my home church. you can feel God is in the house

Yelp
Me and my wife love this church, from the first time we walked in on christmas eve and then again, the Saturday after the first of the year, they welcome you and everyone is so polite and easy to talk to, greet you in parking lot and at the door we where going through some hard times recently and when we showed up for our first time on Christmas eve, pastor marcus hit home exactly what we are going through with his sermon, we was in tears, it touched us in so many ways, cannot put into words how something told us to go there that night, and the singing was unbelievable, we cannot wait for the summit to start to get to know the church better and look forward to making new friends and volunteering our time

Yelp
Went to see a someone baptized, and missed it. We get there in plenty of time to get seated for the service. While reading the screens on the front, I find out there is classes for the kids. I go looking for it and after walking around looking lost and confused, I finally stopped someone and asked where my sons would be and after three people this guy takes my name and my sons name. Then proceeds to take me to a machine to sign him in, I get a name tag for my son and a number for me to pick him up with. Then he takes me to a big room that looks like a inside play ground with kids running around everywhere. No one asked anything, other then my sons name, if he has allergies or any other issues, he has autism. Then I proceed back to my seat. Still got plenty of smiles, nothing more. We sit through loud music all with light shows (more like a concert than worship) and then a mediocre service. Assuming the baptism would be at the end of the service. Then we hear this is the end of the service, you are dismissed. We went out the doors and went to the car, I came back in the door on the other side and walked to get my son. Finally found him and we left. Nothing was ever said anything about a baptism, so I felt like a stupid fool who went to the wrong church. Asked my son how hi class as, he said he had fun. When I asked what he had learned, he said he just played, they had no lessons. When I get home, I find on Facebook a video of the person we went to see baptized getting baptized at the church were at! Nothing was ever said about a baptism at any point. When I watch the video, it was a kiddie pool in between the two sets of doors that I had walked in and out of, in the hallway. It was not even a service, people stood and watch them sit I a kiddie pool and lay down and back up. And since I did not notice were it was at, the person I took to watch her grandson get baptized is upset with me for letting her miss it!

Yelp
I came to Kentucky to visit the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. I did not expect to find such an awesome church as 7Hills. Our kids were very comfortable in the Hills Kidz Sunday school program and didn't want to leave. This is definitely a spirit filled church and Pastor Marcus is certainly anointed. I've visited many churches before and usually do not want to go back. However, 7Hills made me feel right at home.

Yelp
Love this place. Stopped in three years ago after a year-long search and have involved ever since. Seven Hills goes to great lengths to change lives through impactful worship music, video, events, and real and understandable messages from Pastor Marcus. There is a commitment to excellence that I haven't seen in many churches in every single area: making people feel welcome, community outreach (hours of impactful service, food closet, thanksgiving meals, Christmas gifts, makeovers, etc. etc.) global outreach (China, Germany, Haiti, etc.), unbelievable worship musicians and singers, real messages with media that enhances the message from videos to even live animals (recently an eagle and lion!). This place has a heart to reach those in need and does that with a passion and excellence that cannot go unnoticed. And there is real evidence of changed lives near and far because of it. Give it a shot.

Yelp
A great church! The atmosphere is relaxing (wear your blue jeans), however get ready for a great service from Pastor Marcus. He has a great way of being down to earth and spells the message out so everyone can understand. They say give this church 3 try's before you judge and i agree, after the third time you will be won over. They always have something special going on whether it is a guest pastor, a special musician or free after service ice cream for the kids. Try them 3 times and you will be glad you did. The kids service is great for all ages too. I would usually say, give em a try but on this one I'm gonna say give em 3 try's! A great church! You won't be dissapointed!

Yelp
This!!! We could not be happier with this church & everyone involved! It definitely, without a doubt, feels like home when you walk in & we just love it! Pastor Marcus and the entire team are amazing people. The worship team & their worship is absolutely phenomenal; the Holy Spirit is definitely alive in & around this place!

Yelp
In just one year me and my wife have been so touched by the family at seven hills. We've never felt more welcome and comfortable, and the family/friends we've made will last a lifetime. God is moving in the people of this church, and we're so glad to be apart of it.
