If you love boba drinks and want a Vietnamese twist that is yummy and reasonably priced, check out 7 Leaves. I've been to several of their locations, but this review will focus on my recent visit to the Garden Grove shop on Euclid Street. The Drinks: It offers a good selection of different drinks without being overwhelming, ranging from coffees and teas to juice and off-menu concoctions. I ordered the house special, a Vietnamese-style iced coffee brewed the 7 Leaves way. (Note: They do have a separate Vietnamese iced coffee that has a more traditional taste.) The Service: The team here is fast, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. They did mess up on my drink — I asked for no ice so I could have it at home without it being watered down, but my drink had ice in it. However, they were apologetic and came out with the correct order in a couple of minutes. The Location: It's located in a small strip mall beside a Subway and T-Mobile store. Parking in front of the store is limited and can get filled up quickly, especially during peak times. Fortunately, it shares a large parking lot with a nearby church, so most people head there and walk the roughly 20 yards over. Inside, there are several tables and chairs and people often hang out here or bring homework to study. The Conclusion: If you're looking for Taiwanese boba, you might be disappointed. But if you want a Vietnamese twist on this Asian drink, you'll love 7 Leaves as much as I do.

I visited this location on a Monday afternoon. It was not busy, but there were several people studying. It was the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had!! If I could give this location -10 stars I would! When we first walked in, there were NO STAFF PRESENT in front. All we could hear was very LOUD gossiping in the back. In fact we stood there for at least 5 mins!!! tapping on the display, yelling politely hello you have a customer with no one even paying attention. Then I started saying it louder and finally someone came to the front. I actually felt like I was the one BOTHERING THEM!! I paid for two Pandan soybean drinks with boba. After I paid, I asked for the bathroom code…the girl rudely started telling me the code so dismissively and spoke so fast mind you she even acknowledged the code was super long. I literally had to write it down on my phone. I mean if you know your code is that long, can you not have some compassion and speak slower so we can understand what you’re saying?!! The bathroom was filthy!!!! Absolutely disgusting. There were leftover food of something in the hand sink and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. The worst part of this experience were the drinks. The boba was meh to say the least. It was over cooked and dissolved like mush when you drank it. There was no chewy texture like boba is supposed to be. The drink itself was watered down and overly sweet with very little Pandan flavor. Waste of good hard earned money. After a few sips, we threw both drinks away. You can see from the pics how diluted the drinks are. I hope management reads this review and looks on the camera to see that is an honest and real review. And did I mention that even after I got my drinks and sat down, the staff continued their gossiping so loud that it was very uncomfortable and just quite frankly like they didn’t give a damn about the other patrons in the store.

I stopped by this 7 Leaves tonight to get a Jasmine Milk Tea for my wife. I found parking easily here on a Friday night. When I walked inside, there was only 1 guest ahead of me. I ordered 2 large Jasmine Milk Tea for my wife and asked for easy ice, easy sweet. I give them my name and went to wait for my order. I looked at their macarons but it didn't appeal to me. It didn't take them long to make my order but when it was ready, I saw they didn't do easy ice. The ice was almost half of the large cup so I was disappointed. You are basically not getting your money worth here. If you ask for no ice, they'll probably give you less drink in the cup.

Seven Leaves’ strawberry zest drink really missed the mark for me—harsh flavor and hard to finish. Definitely one I’ll be skipping next time. Their Thai tea was also a letdown: overly sweet with none of the rich, creamy aroma Thai tea is known for. It’s supposed to be smooth, but theirs fell flat.

I visited this location specifically for the double leaves promotion, but the experience was disappointing. Despite ordering ahead, my drink wasn’t ready when I arrived. When I finally received it, every custom option I selected in the app was incorrect. To make matters worse, the staff member was dismissive and lacked basic courtesy—no greeting or acknowledgment. It seems there’s a significant gap in both order accuracy and customer service training here.

I asked for some sugar. She takes my cappuccino, comes back and now it tastes like pure sugar syrup. Why don't you have sugar available outside for your patrons instead of putting us at the mercy of workers who clearly do not drink coffee?

I've tried a few drinks here: Green Thai Tea, Thai Tea, Salted Coffee, Jasmine, Vietnamese Coffee, and Sea Cream Black Coffee. The Green Thai Tea is my favorite so far--it has a nice balance of slightly bitter, floral tea flavor with Thai tea. I also love the Sea Cream Black Coffee for its smooth, creamy flavor that's not overly sweet. If you find Vietnamese Coffee too heavy or sweet, definitely try the Salted Coffee! The drinks here are a bit watery for me compared to other boba spots, but the boba texture is perfect with just the right chew. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is cozy with plenty of space--great if you need a comfy spot to work. There's also plenty of parking!

Best coffee and now best fries . Last thing I expected was to find these delicious garlic fries I wish all of the locations had them . Updated my review because the fries are back and they also have the best popcorn chicken. Had to update my review horrible experience today waited 35 min no food they forgot about me they said the printer malfunctioned then offered everyone free drinks . I waited the longest and got nothing not even my food I just got a refund and left there fries and chicken are amazing but not worth wasting my lunch to get no food

This is one of my favorite locations of 7 Leaves, because they are extremely consistent! The drive-thru is always super fast, and the inside is a cute moment as well! The quality is always great and the menu always has some seasonal items worth trying! My go-tos are the matcha & the taro milk teas.

Came on a Sunday morning hoping to get a tiger (thai tea + coffee) with boba, but was only met by disappointment. There was no boba ready and I ended up waiting 20 minutes after being told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Even after waiting 20 minutes, boba was not ready and the drink tastes like sugar water. Definitely will not be returning to this 7 leaves location. Save your money and go to another location.

Terrible customer service. We mobile ordered our drinks for quick turnaround since we were in a hurry. Came in when they said it'd be ready, and nothing. We waited for an additional 15 minutes after our call time watching Maddy help all these other customers that came in behind us. Finally asked her where our drink was and she pulls it from the back counter. It was done this entire time and she didn't have the decency to ask if we were being helped or if we got our drinks yet. This isn't the first time I've had this experience. It has happened several times now with the lack of customer service. We like coming to 7 Leaves however will most likely start finding another coffee spot with better service.

Incompetent worker - I have been here so many time- always wearing my nurse badge. Upon checking out - I show them my nurse badge, request for service discount (company policy as gratitude), young lady checking me out saw the badge; acknowledged - stated she will scan app first then apply. Upon check out; she failed to proceed w my request. Shameful having to stand there arguing due to 1) not being respectful and apologizing "insisting I had to ask". Should it be trained by all employee to offer and asked when I was wearing scrubs and w proper ID 2) continue to argue not knowing to to be trained to diffused the "customer always right, 3) never offered for a manager to come and resolve the situation Too bad I had to write this poor customer review Tn

We decided to try the Featuring flavorful notes of fresh strawberry, condensed milk, and zesty lime (Rio Rosa) which is time limited, and that's a good thing! Cause it tastes horrible not a good combo!!! The lime over powers the sweetness, so leaving a bitter taste.

1. The drinks tasted as delicious as the ones ordered at other locations! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes with a big open space! 3. There are a good number of indoor seatings available! 4. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! 5. Parking lot is small, and it can get crowded depending on time and day! 7 Leaves is probably my favorite boba chain in California when it comes to consistency and pricing. This location is fairly large and with plenty of parking, makes a great stop for a drink. I ordered their Assam Black Milk Tea with Oat Milk and Boba, and it's just how I like it each and every time. Their tea quality is pretty good, boba is soft, and sweetness levels are to my liking. While I love 7 Leaves, I do find it odd that they couldn't make me Jasmine Milk Tea Latte with Oat Milk. The jasmine milk tea is pre-made so only the Asaam or Oolong are available to be made with oat milk. However, my friend did not believe this to be the case and was finally able to uncover that they CAN mix pure jasmine green tea with oat milk to make it a milk tea latte.

7 leaves locations are basically the same, this one is pretty big so I can see people want to study here. I usually get the house coffee or Vietnamese coffee but I got the mint sereno and the person said ,"nobody really orders that". Lol I was starting to question my choice but honestly it's like Philz mint coffee. I got it iced... the only way to get it of course lol. The person even said if I don't like it they can make another drink. Sweet of them and they probably thought my drinking choice was horrible. It really wasn't but not a common choice at 7 leaves. Parking lot, near the freeway.

I frequent 7 leaves because there are so many locations but it must have been an off day when I ordered here for the family. I got 5 drinks and they were all flavorless and diluted and just not good. Luckily they were very accommodating and the customer experience team was amazing and I really appreciate their efforts.

I dont understand why they don't understand what easy ice is ... Just imagine how much ice they would've actually put in my drink if I wouldn't have said easy ice. If this is easy ice than what is a "yes ice please"? It's insane what they do I understand that they have to put ice but it's more than half of the cup !!! It's good but really ???

I've always liked 7Leaves and usually have good experiences here, but this visit was disappointing. The cashier spoke really fast and made me feel rushed while ordering, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I ordered a Sunset Passion with boba, but there was barely any boba--definitely less than a normal serving. On the bright side, my other two drinks, the Jasmine Milk Tea and the Summer Mint, were great as always. Hopefully my next visit will be better!

7 Leaves is always a solid choice. Today I went to try their new Rio Rosa drink and it was super tasty. The parking and service are also good here but where I'd have to say it could use work is their popcorn chicken. There is limited hours for their popcorn chicken and I love that it comes with basil leaves, but the chicken is extremely salty and the value can be pretty iffy (mine had a decent amount but my bfs felt like it was shorted). All in all though, I still love 7 Leaves and would be back

Boba is very chewy, the milk tea is quite watery, and the copious amount of ice reduces the actual amount of milk tea you get per cup and as it melts it dilutes the drink's flavor heavily.

My go to place to study at! Everyone there is usually studying so it's nice to study and enough a coffee or boba! My usual go to is the house coffee or sea cream jasmine tea!

What an amazing day to grab coffee! Here at 7 Leaves Cafe, where's the magic happen. With great customer service, greeting you as you enter, smile throughout your ordering process. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, Drinks: 1. House Coffee Using their secret brewing technique and the finest coffee beans in the world. 2. Japanese Matcha and Soy Matcha is known today as the healthiest, rarest, and most premium of all tea varieties from Japan. 7 Leaves House Special Coffee has been my number 1 coffee beside the traditional Vietnamese Coffee, which they do offer, but the House Special is the way to go. The flavor is rich, and something about it just lifts me off my feet. So yummy in my tummy! I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. They have a restroom for your convenience. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Drinks are good but their popcorn chicken came out raw 3x even after asked to remake it and one of the workers tried explaining it was their "batter" but it's CLEARLY still raw

I forget why I was in Garden Grove. It might have been after a doctor appointment or something like that. But I was in the area and got a craving for boba. Lately, I have been wanting the chewy, yummy boba more than normal. Found this location was only a couple of miles from where I was. The parking was easy and when I pulled up, I could see this was a big 7-Leaves location! Some of the other ones are extra small. Prices seem fair for boba at other places. I always order extra boba though, because I want more!! hahaha It is just so fun to chew. I will have to go through my photos and find my pictures. I usually go with a milk tea or taro here. I'm just a fan of boba and end up here because they have so many locations.

It's good, not the greatest, but enough for your standard fix of vietnamese coffee or dessert drinks. Always try to go during nonpeak hours because it can get pretty crowded with long waits. The app is probably the best way to ensure your drinks are ready when you get there. All 7 Leaves have a standard ambience and decorations so when you enter, you're in a familiar place. The one thing you probably need to know is the dessert drinks here are really sweet so be warned and adjust accordingly. My first time I got the mung bean drink here, it was so sweet I had to dilute the one drink into 3 drinks total to be able to take it!

I usually love 7 Leaves Cafe, but I was really disappointed with today's visit. I ordered through the app, then realized I made a mistake and placed a new order in-store. While waiting, I noticed two female employees were very nice, but one male employee was handling food with a toothpick in his mouth -- and even held it in his hand while answering the phone, then put it back in his mouth afterward. That was very unprofessional and unhygienic. I hope the owner or manager sees this and addresses it.

Nearly every drink hits the spot every time. The macarons also have such a lovely texture and the service is wonderful! The only drink that I'm not into is the hot matcha latte than they came out with their new latte series. I love matcha and everything but this one just tasted a bit fishy and like bad grass--would not recommend. But overall, the drinks that have always been a staple here are reliable and amazing!

Ok I finally stopped in a 7 Leaves in S. Cal! Finally, I get to have milk tea with all the Asian snacks that I love...popcorn chicken, fries, sandwiches, other food too! This location is about the average 7 Leaves size, but it was busy. Now I wish the N. Cal 7 Leaves locations will have food other than macarons...preferable something savory with the tea. Yum!!

I usually come out here to study a little bit. I ordered popcorn chicken; the portion is so small for $8--barely anything. It's not worth the money for something so tiny. Probably not going to order it from here.

7 Leaves is always a great place to stop by for a quick drink. The customer service here is excellent and patient in answering questions. I also saw them coming out from behind the counter a few times to help open the doors for patrons and supplies. I had the mint sereno which was an iced coffee with mint leaves and brown sugar. The brown sugar is an excellent complement to the drink. I prefer the 7 leaves mint sereno over the similar (but not as tasty) mint mojito from Philz. This location is spacious and good for working. There are small tables throughout, a seated bar, and some raised tables if you have a group. This a popular spot that can get loud. There are outlets scattered along the walls so you'll have to scope out your spot if you need to charge your laptop or phone.

Kind of why I stick with mobile orders now...but I went in person this time (kind of regret it a little it) I went in, the worker seemed only excited when her friends (the people in front) came in and ordered, and when it was my turn, it was like a 180 flip. I just ignored at first, and tried to be friendly but then and gave the same vibe and just ordered. She asked for my name, I said "Ken" and I said a Large sized drink. I waited and she was again, only happy when giving the order to her friends, and then just placed my drink at the counter, I came over and said thank you and left. I'm certain they misheard since she didn't say anything or stop me from grabbing the drink. (Edit: also she gave me a small straw that I can't use to drink the boba that's in the drink) Nothing wrong with being excited to see friends come to your work, and I understand that it might have been a long day, but shouldn't should show the complete change of emotion/personality I think for this specific location, I'll just stick with mobile orders from now on

I love all 7leaves locations! I love how all the drinks are consistent at all locations because I can always fix my 7leaves cravings wherever I am, luckily they are expanding and I hope they keep opening more locations! I came here to study and stayed for 4 hours and it was a great environment to do work at. The cashier was very nice taking my order and I also did an online order while I was in store and it came out fairly quick. I was so happy to finally try their snacks because the 7leaves location near me doesn't have the food options. I was pleasantly surprised with how crispy and tasty their garlic fries were. Great boba and great fries!

*Review on Hot Drink* I ordered both thru the app. ~Jasmine milk tea boba w Sea cream on top was so yum. I think anything w sea cream is good. 2.25.23 ~Hot taro milk tea. Bummer the hot drinks. We aren't allowed to add boba on the ap as an option. But i went into the store and asked if i can add boba. Associate mentioned You can but boba will be really soft & mushy since it's a hot drink.. Which i don't mind. She told mee to Just order thru my app and then she'll charge me separately for the boba which is $ .75 I love the hot taro drink. It's really good. Especially on a rainy day. Highly recommended. Service is always great as always. Friendly & fast.

I like 7 leaves. But whenever I get the popcorn chicken here, I always end up with a couple RAW pieces. It's been 3 times.

Drinks were amazing as always. I'm giving this place 3 stars because, while the quality is consistent, the customer experience could use improvement--especially for mobile pickup orders. I placed my order through the app at 1:23 and arrived expecting some clear direction, like separate signage or sections for mobile pickup versus walk-in orders. To be fair, it was my mistake that I didn't initially notice the mobile pickup rack on the side. But once I did, I saw two orders on the rack that weren't mine--even though I had ordered three items. Behind the rack, I noticed a bag with three drinks and figured that might be mine. Since it was placed behind the counter area, I didn't want to assume and grab it, so I got back in line and asked the cashier. Her response felt dismissive, like I should've known better, and she told me (in a tone that felt a bit annoyed) that all mobile pickups are on the side. When I asked if I could just grab the bag I saw, she said yes--as if it were obvious. My suggestion: please treat every customer like it might be their first time here. Maybe just have a sign that says "grab your drinks if you see it" . I been to chipotle pickup where you are treated like a thief if you grab the order without telling them so it's not like ima grab the order and walk away unless you say it's okay to do so...

Came back to this spot to work on my laptop. It looked like they took out the couches and replace them with individual tables. I like it! The negatives are spotty wifi and host unable to make my matcha tea unsweetened. I was able to order that several times in the past but this time he wouldn't do it. You can see the undissolved sugar grains on the bottom of the cup. Hmmm I hope they will change it in the future. I'll return & hopefully able to give them a better rating next time.

I HONESTLY love this drink HANDS DOWN. The matcha soy was delicious and not too sweet. 7 leaves is my go to spot for amazing beverages. They have refreshers, milk tea, and coffee. The service was fast & employee is nice and friendly. I got the matcha soy and they have $1 off if you sign up with them. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious, and clean. It is an excellent place to study. I would definitely come back here.

It only took 2 mins to get my drink. I literally just put my card away in my purse and my drink was ready maybe cuz I was the only one ordering. The drink is yummy as usual and lots of taro on the bottom of the cup. I got a large taro milk tea my absolute fave

This Beverage spot offers an incredible variety of delicious drinks with top-notch quality. The Friendly staff and cozy atmostphere make it a perfect spot to relax.

I really love the oolong milk tea at 7 leaves but today i was disappointed,it didn't taste like oolong milk tea but tasted like mixed oloong and mung bean and little strange,the crystal boba was old,i don't know how to explain how strange was it. I tried to complete my drink but no,i only drank 1/2 and threw away. But however i loved the way the staffs were nice to the customer. Maybe I'll be back for another my fav drink "house coffee ".

Got a large coffee and it's full of ice and not filled to the top. Not very happy with this service even though I gave a tip.

I love the taste of sunset passion bc it's my Passion lol . No but I love the sweet and savory xi moui at the end . It gives it a nice touch after a sweet drink hehe . They are usually always friendly here . Environment is chill too .

Embarked on a popcorn chicken and french fry comparison journey today between Tastea and 7Leaves. Best house coffee in town... its unlock new addiction for me. Order come pretty quickly. Have good seat and spacious place for study as well.

I stayed from around 10:30am to 1pm to study, and by far one of my favorite places to relax. The place is very clean and well kept, and the workers are very nice and welcoming. I got the matcha green tea and it was the perfect level of sweetness. The WiFi is fast and password is posted on the whiteboard in the front for everyone to see.

If I'm gonna spend $36 on several house coffees, I would at least expect more actual coffee instead of a cup with 90% ice. Bought 7 total drinks and they all basically had ice filled to the top. I'm not kidding when I say I took less than 8 sips before the coffee was gone. I made the mistake by not checking my order before leaving. I advise people to do the same so that they don't try to cheap out on your order. Totally unacceptable 7leaves

Any time I travel to SoCal, it is on my list to get my coffee from 7 Leaves. They have a coffee for every taste bud, and I normally come here to satisfy my need for something sweet. I normally get the Sea Cream Black Coffee, but sometimes I have to get their House Coffee (with extra shots of espresso) please. They're pretty fast to get you the drink, but when they're short-staffed and they have a lot of people ordering, it does slow things down a bit. Ordering online is recommended. Overall, I have to say there's a special place for 7 Leaves, and as long as they continue to do what they do, they'll have a lifetime customer. Now only if they'd open one in Gilbert....

I really enjoy 7 leaves all their locations are great. What's so great? Their quick service, affordable drinks, and consistent tasting variety of drinks. I also love the option to order online and earn rewards. This is my OG location I have been going here since high school they have a large seating area. I have so many favorite drinks here (one for all of my moods): -House coffee -Mung bean milk tea -Love cream (jasmine milk tea with caramel drizzle) -Green thai tea (new favorite) When I crave coffee I crave a 7 leaves house coffee it's so delicious I've never had coffee this flavor anywhere else. Beware though it has so much caffeine I'm left shaking after. Mung bean milk tea reminds me of Vietnamese dessert light and refreshing. Love cream is also very refreshing a basic jasmine milk tea but sweeter since it has a caramel drizzle. Green thai tea is their newer item and I like it, its a bit on the bitter side though. To me all of the drinks are always perfectly sweet and flavored. A few down side to 7 leaves is: -their boba isn't consistent so it's not good sometimes -sometimes they put a lot of ice into drinks even when you asked for easy ice I also really miss their popcorn chicken and fries hope to see them back one day. Regardless the positives outweighs the negatives and I highly recommend 7 leaves.

Had a freat experience here a few weeks ago. Service was superb. They were so friendly and accommodating here. Drinks came out very fast as well, and they tasted perfectly. I ordered easy sweet mung bean tea drinks with pudding and aloe vera and everything was exactly to my liking. The ratio of ice, drinks and fixings were spot on. This has become one of the best, if not the best, 7 leaves location. I strongly recommend this establishment.

The service is okay not over the top not bad either. The fries are worth the price because you get a lot. They def have really good popcorn chicken but the only problem is the portion ratio to price doesn't make sense. You get like 1/2 cup of popcorn chicken for almost what $8? That's wild. At least fill it up. I don't care if you're raising your prices but at least keep the portions right. ESP for a cheap protein like chicken thigh.

By far one of the best Vietnamese coffee's I have ever had. It's always consistent and taste so good. A great little treat on a hot day or just when you want something tasty never had an issue and will always come back House Coffee is always my go to.
