Yelp
The only time I crave 7 Leaves is when I need to awake from a msg coma OR when it's hot swittie (tata) weather.
Because I find their drinks too sweet.
But, when you're hot, thirsty, and in need of a caffeine boost....it hella hits the spot!
Well, today is the day.
7 Leaves' first city location softly opened to nearly 80 degree weather (next to H Mart)!
Their grand opening is Saturday, May 18th. First 200 customers receive a swag bag.
7 Leaves is a wildly popular SoCal based chain that serves Viet drinks and housemade macarons. Before stores opened in NorCal (SJ/Cupertino), people from the Bay brought a cooler to SoCal to bring back jugs of their coffee and tea.
Their name stems from the 7 ingredients in their herbal tea and the 7 co-founders.

There's one cashier. Ordering is not available on the 7 Leaves' app yet.
With no line (yet), it took about 15 minutes for my order (4 drinks).

(Most of the drinks are pre-brewed and made less sweet by adding more milk/half & half)
* Roasted Oolong Milk Tea (20 oz.-$5.45)
--Easy sweet
--Regular Ice
My 7 Leaves' go-to for its strong, roasty flavor and creamy milkiness. I find it's not as sweet as some of other drinks (e.g. mung bean milk tea, strawberry hibiscus, etc.) but even at easy sweet, it tastes like 100% sweet so I always have to let the ice dilute it.
Consistent across the several 7 Leaves I've been to.
* Herbal Tea w/ 7 types of herbs and teas including chrysanthemum and pandan leaves (20 oz.-$5.45)
--Fixed sweetness
--Non-caffeinated
If you like refreshing Chinese herbal teas, this will be your jam. It's floral and earthy. Like most of their drinks, it runs sweet.
I can't drink coffee but I've tasted the Mint Serrano (like Philz mint mojito), House Coffee (Viet coffee w/ hazelnut creamer), and Viet Coffee....they're bold, strong, and creamy but very sweet. Pro-tip: You can add extra shots of espresso for free...up to 6 extra shots.
S E R V I C E
Welcoming and friendly with the owner greeting customers.
Drinks did take longer than the usual speedy service but it's just day one so that's totally understandable. I'm sure they'll ramp up in the next several weeks.
A M B I A N C E
Contemporary and homey with seating for about 26 people.

Being located next to H Mart, the parking lot can get congested during peak hours.
With the weather is warming up, I'm happy to see 7 Leaves make its way to the city!
